Spiritual opens up with bright and fresh citrus note of bergamot, complimented with a slightly bitter and intense pink pepper, giving a clean and refreshing sensation. Seconds after it reveals a floral aspect in the heart with a light green accord. As it dries down it gets smoother and smoother revealing warm vanilla, benzoin and ambergris in the base. All wraps up creating a colorful and silky smooth scent, perfectly balanced and well rounded, comforting ambery and fruity satisfaction, with warm and sweet qualities. Scents profile and genre really resembles Erba Pura by Sospiro which I also love, both scents are very similar, but Spiritual feels more polished and way more pleasant. Spiritual is also impressive with the performance, it projects really well and lasts long, staying on clothes for days. It is a perfect scent for Fall and Spring to lift your spirits. Honestly I really enjoy wearing Spiritual, it leaves a big presence and garners amazing compliments from the ladies, in fact the scents leans a bit fowards feminine side. This could be a signature scent. I love scents like this, opens with bergamot, a citrusy fresh, almost sour opening, and then you get the vanilla and amber. A very elegant zesty scent. Some could find it sharp, but if you like the Erba pura DNA, even the Coco mademoiselle DNA, I think you will love this one like me. This is my favorite from the Micallef secrets of love collection, and the bottle is a piece of art itself. I don’t get any of the synthetic smell that other reviewers say. For me its a beautiful amber/vanilla scent you could use all year round day and night.

Strange that we can not vote yet. First impressions: Love it! I am a huge lover of Erba Pura by Sospiro, and Spiritual goes in the very same direction, having a very similar vibe, but a smoother, more pleasant and more comforting touch. Really well rounded smooth vanilla and benzoin with sweet fruity, berries vibe, ambergris is also there giving a slight sour nuance, simply beautiful. Also the performance seemed to be fantastic.

I really like this. Warm, but also great for colder spring. It's comfy but sexy. Unisex however more feminine imo. It's just a good mix of everything, i can't point any dominating note, just a beautiful blend.

This was a very nice surprise (and relief after quite a few disappointments) in Fortnum Masons. It starts so bright, a little sweet but really nice and smooth with an air of elegance and creamy woodsiness. It starts with sweetish citrus, a hint of the spice and floral for me but with more than a waft from the vanilla from the base. Really luminous and alluring. This is what Chanel 'Allure' might have wished it had been. It then develops slowly but gradually does turn slightly woodier, never anything beyond simple. Sweeter and more creamy vanillic. I even get peach and pineapple vibes from the floral mix. It's honestly so good, leans a bit feminine but it thick and just woody/spicy-musky enough to have a bit of that edge to it. Great for Spring and maybe even the Office during Winter. Underrated gem out there My rating: 8/10

This is like a perfect mix between Erba pura and mancera's Jardin exclusif. It has the fresh strong peppery note similar to JE, and the same musky floral fruit aroma as EP. But I can smell this much better than I can Erba. Spiritual has great quality oils prob a different and smoother musk used as well. I really like it. It last all day and projects really great. I have both in my collection so this one perfume could keep me from buying 2. I like that idea lol. Also a little tip...the opening of this(the 1st 1min-3min), smells kind of weird and more dated floral. But that fades quickly when the pink pepper rears it's head and the bergamot fades away. This is actually good.

I initially judged it as fit for winter night only but late autumn day is also a good fit. It sounds very fruity on me today. Deep and nearly a fruitchouli, I am surprised these are absent in the notes. It is in no way similar to Erba Pura! Erba Pura is a fruity freshie. This is deep and syrupy. Unisex but female-leaning. It changes a lot with weather. I remember it warm and spicy, today it is a fruit syrup - bergamot, jasmine and pink pepper are the strongest in the opening. In the drydown it reveals a Baccarat Rouge molecule - something woody and aromatic. But here it is done right. It has intimate to strong sillage depending on the weather and good lasting power.

Loving this. On first spray I smelled a slightly spicy lime, with something slightly animalic or marine in the background. As it started drying down I got excited. Its complex yet smooth. Its a little sweet, that citrus is there giving a subtle freshness, ambergris rounding it out. Its powerful yet toned down, its natural in that I feel like I should just smell like this naturally. I can tell jasmines there, but not in your face because this is so blended. Edit- jasmine comes out to play in the late dry drown, other notes fade

Ambergris, cedar, benzoin. Dense, aromatic, sweet. It is balmy, soapy, incensy, warm. Pretty. Serious. It is not a love that lets go. It lasts. It might be my favourite from this line - the most memorable.

this stuff is nuclear. its just too strong for me. even the vial smells strongly without removing the stopper. for me its a little .. scratchy? kind of has the smell that somehow feels like an itchy wool sweater when its not quite cold enough to be wearing it. id prefer it more smooth and blended but this is like a layer cake where the layers are slipping this way and that instead of making an even stack. this could be stunning on someone else but not on me. sample it for sure! im sure this would be lovely on the right person in the snowy weather.

I concur with Mayweed79’s review directly below mine, the opening is a migraine bomb. And the synthetics in this composition never calm down enough to allow any discernible notes to come through. It’s been awhile since Micallef has knocked my socks off. I love Gaiac (which is marketed to men) and have owned two bottles of it. Since then, I’ve been mostly dissappointed but this is the biggest let down so far. After an hour I had to take a shower.

I so want to smell what everyone else loves about this, but I can't get past the overwhelmingly synthetic oud/cedar that assaults my olfactory receptors - and continues to do so through dry down. The good news is that many of you won't have this experience.

I am reading reviews and I am thinking , I must have the wrong scent. This is extremely masculine on me . I don’t get anything close to fruity or vanilla. The smells is almost making me sick to my stomach . I purchased a 10 ml sample maybe it’s a bad one?!

It’s got the heaviness of a Middle Eastern perfume. It’s got an incense-y or smokey vibe to it, so I’m surprised to see no incense or oud in the notes, but that’s what I’m getting in the opening. It then mellows out and becomes more of a fruity floral. It reminds me of Delina in a way. It doesn’t have the sharp note that pierces my brain like Delina, but I wouldn’t call it a delicate smell. It’s pretty assertive and gives confident female energy. Final dry down comes back to the oud/incense note and the bergamot and jasmine combination disappear. I am reminded of Armani Privé’s Jawhara Oriental, but I much prefer that to this because this feels more animalistic (than spiritual). Overall, had it stopped at the middle phase, where the fruit and floral notes were both present, it would have been a like for me. But the oud scent alone? It definitely wouldn’t be my everyday go-to. I was going back and forth between keeping or decluttering it. I was going to keep it to see how it fairs during the winter months, but I really don’t like the drydown on my skin, so I’m going to pass.

Well, here we are. I’ve had my eye on this bottle for about a year. I love bottle designs and value bottle attractiveness. However, it’s also important to me to (at least) like a scent. I read/watched all reviews I could find on this fragrance and ordered it. It turned out to be an enormous let down. Musk is not my preference and I do not purchase perfumes with listed musk notes. While the opening of this fragrance is bearable, starting about 20 minutes in, it gets more and more and more animalic. Ultimately, you are left with an extremely potent, synthetic musk smell ONLY. You will be a musk bomb, blowing those around you to shreds. Certainly not the “strawberry jam” or “fruity” scent that I hoped for. I count my lucky stars that this fragrance is no longer in my collection. One of the worst I’ve ever tried.

Just bought a pocket spray, and I'm horribly disappointed. This just starts with a super sharp, headache inducing metallic note, which mellows down but keeps on going killing any and all vanilla goodness. I'm going to try again in a few days and hope it's just a temporary thing. - I'm starting to think there is something in this I am sensitive to which causes the sharp metallic note. My mother smells the same thing I do, but my sister doesn't. I get the same metallic note from e.g Grape pearls by THOO but cannot figure out what it could be. Either way, it's a bit sad..

Strong sour ambroxane base, can’t smell anything other then that. Very similar to erba pura, instant scrubber and migraine inducer. Lasts for days on clothes, a nightmare for anyone who has macrosmia for ambroxides. I wish IFRA started to regulate these molecules, intead of banning natural raw materials. Consumers should be warned.

This is very intoxicating, pretty. Almost a bit animatic, but fresh. It definitely has similarity to Tiziana Terenzi fragrance, also it has a Kilian good girl gone bad vibe, it’s not the same but that musky animatic scent it there. I can smell benzoin ambergris, something fresh perhaps jasmine with bergamot, and it dries down to vanilla benzoin woody kind of scent. Love it! Edit: Oh my the longevity is a monster, if you spray this on your clothes, not sure if it will ever wash off, I sprayed on a piece of paper and my closet smells for 2 days now. Every time I walk into my closet it’s the only thing I can smell, and I have plenty of fragrances and I always spray my fragrance in the closet and somehow this still overpowers others. Amazing, I ordered a bottle of it. It’s amazing. Better than good girl gone bad by Kilian, that one doesn’t last on me long.

I was so nervous about this because of the crazy reviews. People are so dramatic. This is beautiful! It is strong and tart like Erba Pura or Kirke but I like this more. It has a light airy quality that those others don't. It's delicate even. I don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe if I had smelled this with my baby nose it would have been too strange and strong, but now it's nothing challenging. Not that there's anything wrong with having a newer nose, everyone has to start somewhere. I'm glad I bought it anyway. Fruity, tart & sweet scent that lifts into the air and swirls around you. I go a bit nose blind to it which I don't mind with scents like this. Some of the Tiziana Terenzi fragrances just beat you over the head constantly with the strength of the scent and that will kill even a beautiful perfume for me. I like when they peek a boo.

I didn't have a problem with the opening really, it was a bit sharp but only for about 30 seconds. This definitely smelled familiar, I agree with the Tiziana Terenzi comparison, there is some similarity there, but a bit less creamy than TT tends to go, and bit more spicy. I think this will be a good fall and winter fragrance and was much less than TT for a similar experience. Just got it so not sure about the longevity, but I am hoping it will be long lasting.

I really smell a toned down blessed Baraka here with added musk. I can actually creat a beast mode version of spiritual by layering Blessed Baraka and magnetic blend 7 both from initio 👍 spiritual is very nice but for my collection this would be redundant. I also own erba pura which I do get a little similarity to as well. Longevity 9/10 Projection 9/10 Scent 9/10 Sample to see if it’s your kind of scent though

Definitely has similarities to Erba Pura, but the way Erba Pura should be, without the chemical mess smell. Actually it does have a pungent, animalic, almost chemical aspect to it, (the ambergris) but more the kind that can also be intoxicating and feel like a rush of hormones. Very intense, interesting smell, but tame enough and sweet enough due to the balsamics and florals not to be overwhelming.

I have a 10ml from the 2022 advent calendar and I swear it must be mislabeled. What I'm smelling and what is being described are so completely different. I smell Shaghaf Oud. I smell Crazy In Love and Arabians Tonka by Montale, and even Juicy Flowers by Mancera. I'm perplexed.

Am I the only one who smells My Burberry Black?
