Vanille Aoud

Vanille Aoud is a gorgeous blend of vanilla and aoud. The scent showcases the sophisticated, noble and elegant qualities of an aoud and sensual and seductive vanilla. The scent is luxurious, exclusive and classy. What I find amazing about this scent is how these two notes are played so well together. The aoud gives vanilla woody and elegant touch and vanilla polishes aoud with its silky and smooth touch. This beautiful union of aoud and vanilla are a match made in heaven. It is like there were meant for each other and they live in perfect harmony. The composition seems to be simple but yet it is incredibly rich and voluptuous. The scent is so easy and pleasant to wear. My husband cannot stand most aoud fragrances that I have tried but he loves this one on me. If you want to experience aoud but afraid of its wild and dark character then this lovely gourmand fragrance will be a great start. It is a high quality composition where you still get the slight darkness of an aoud but it will not kill you with its overpowering presence. It is definitely full bottle worthy for me. 9/10

Well...I have no words, this is simply amazing, it opens with mouthwatering caramel+plum combo with loads of vanilla, this might be heady for some, but the oud, oh, it balances here perfectly. It is noticeable all the time, but never too much, so this might be a winner even for those who usually don't enjoy oud too much. I find this to be AMAZING, it's delightful, it is very elegant and very unique, nothing I've tried before has been anything like this. Perfect scent for elegant ladies with a little black dress and smoky eyes.

molto buono questo accordo che si apre con una vaniglia caramellata mista a prugna e limone, in modo da non darne un'impressione troppo gourmand ma, al contrario, assai equilibrata. questa fase evolve poi su una vaniglia più tropicale, grazie all'ylang ylang che ne restituisce quasi una nota di cocco. infine arriva l'oud che conferisce al tutto la giusta asprezza legnosa. notevole.

Nice and juicy in the beginning, with something that reminds me of pineapple and coconut accompanying a waft of oud in the background. Soon the oud pretty much leaves the party, and I smell a lot of realistic caramel, tendrils of smoke coming from a freshly baked pie crust, and the bark of vanilla pods. I thought this perfume smelled familiar. Then I realized that on my skin, Vanille Aoud dries down to smell identical to SL Une Bois Vanille. Une Bois Vanille disappears from my skin in about a half hour, but Vanille Aoud stays on for about 3-4.

This opens with a nice, pronounced rubbery-inky aoud note and then transitions quickly to what I perceive as a "tropical vanilla" scent. Vanillic, slightly floral with a coconut like note. The aoud disappeared completely in the dry down for me leaving something akin to a high-end tanning oil type scent. While its not full bottle worthy for my tastes, my husband thought it smelled "delicious!" Thanks to Christinasegal123 for the chance to try this out! <3

Vanilla balloon; not sure how else to describe it. Not gourmand, nothing edible here. Lasting power: 8+ hours, then I just want it to stop, I cannot sleep with this on me. Sillage: Moderate, I did receive some negative feedback with this one, so maybe trial a small sample or keep it out of the office. The caramel+vanilla with oud hanging in back is very unique, but very heady for an Oriental Vanilla. Usually I get that reeling feeling from intense florals, or single scent oil concentrates, so this was a surprise. This is not Luten's Un Bois Vanille. I would not recommend a blind buy, especially at this price point.

I bought this one to get and idea of what Oud smelled like, I had heard that it only smells like Oud in the opening and then just goes vanilla. I thought that was perfect because A) I wasn't sure I would like Oud so it's nice that it won't be present the whole time and B) because I'll be able to tell more what part the Oud is because it'll disappear. I put it on and got vanilla with something really quite familiar. I would agree with those that say Oud can have a medicinal profile because after a couple minutes of smelling it I found out what it was reminding me of...the Dentist office. I don't hate the Dentist so I don't hate this smell, it's just weird how it's dead-on the densest office with some vanilla for me! I've had it on for a while now and the Oud must be gone because so is the desists smell. It now smells like a boozy-like vanilla, quite nice. Over all I like this fragrance and will enjoy using up the entire sample. although I think I would prefer this smell as something like a hand cream or body wash

rubbery vanilla at first, but then a few minutes later it turns into a sweet plummy caramel vanilla. I don't smell the oud. It's a really good combination. But here's the deal..I have an issue with the perfumes for "women" that Micallef produces ( with the exception of her Mon Parfum) . No matter how great they smell, they start fading almost immediately. Whereas her male fragrances like Royal Vintage and Emir for example, last 3x as long on me.I would advise against buying a fb blind..not only is it a pretty expensive house, but it turns to a skin scent within an hour or two. If she works on the longevity of her female fragrances, she'll have a big fan in me and lots of other people.

dug this out and decided to wear it to work today. I am enjoying the oud laced vanilla that keeps teasing my nose any time I move or adjust at all. People compare this to Serge Lutens un bois vanille and now I want to try that! I have held off on dipping into the Serge Lutens line because I know I am in a lot of trouble!!! Anyway, Vanille Aoud is a warm and spicy vanilla with just a hint of that signature oud smell - this is definitely a skin scent, I don't think anyone around me could smell it, and for work that is ok by me

The oud in this is very subtle and understated which is good for me as I'm not an oud fan. I am a huge gourmand/vanilla fan though but this scent left me a little unimpressed. I don't get any plum. All I get really is a thick rich caramel underscored by a little oud. It's nice and I do love caramel but I just expected this to evolve somewhat but it just stayed the same. For the cost, I have many other caramel/gourmands that do the same job.

This is a lovely soft vanilla, not too sweet or foody, and the oud is there but it more a woody darkness here than anything medicinal or pungent like some ouds can be on me. The plum is subtle too. Overall, it reminds me alot of Luten's Un Bois Vanille, almost exact in flavor but softer & more lifted & billowy. Not sure if it's for me (I like the spiced vanillas), but it's a nice one.

A nicely beefed-up vanilla, unique in being spice-free and light on the wood. Yes, looking at the notes, it really is more a gourmand aoud, a really good caramel twist. Not wildly sophisticated - the aoud is subtle and the vanilla is confection rather than sticky blackness. Pleasant enough, not particularly unique but well-blended.

Does anyone know why my bottle is called 'Studio Vanilla Aoud'? Is it this fragrance or something else? My bottle is a 75ml and has a 'bar' across the top of the lid (which is actually an eye pencil or something?). I'm confused that my bottle or 'Studio Vanilla Aoud' isn't shown or mentioned on Fragrantica...

Nice gourmand oud with vanilla and a sort of salted caramel note that I like. Unfortunately after the opening it goes play-doughy on me (salty + powdery + sweet + oud = playdough?).
