Dejarose

I was a little hesitant to write this review. Dejarose is long discontinued and you most likely won't be able to test it. :( That being said, it deserves a little attention on this site. It's one of my favorite rose creations, presenting strongly as a combination of the green rose of Mogador from Keiko Mecheri and the spicy rose of Possibilities from La Perla. Deja... indeed. While I can smell almost every single note listed here for Dejarose, there are a few that shine brighter. ROSE--green and spicy. It's a throwback rose that takes you to fragrant places you've already been. You'll recognize the comfortable feel and smell of it on your skin. PEONY--perfectly placed as a junior partner to the rose PATCHOULI--textured, not too earthy There's a definite sweetness as well, courtesy of the raspberry. There's also warmth despite the green notes and a late patchouli that holds it all together hours after my first spritz. If you've had that beautiful fall night sitting outside with old friends over drinks and memories, then you've already smelled this fragrance. Deja vu? No, just an exceptionally well-crafted rose. One you won't forget.

Hands down the most amazing rose fragrance I have ever tried. Why oh why did it have to be limited edition? The longevity is great and it has a moderate sillage. Dries down to the perfect rose fragrance with slight spicy notes that leave me wanting more. It's more complex because of the depth of woodsy notes, yet it remains sweet. I am not a floral fragrance lover at all, but this one is just right. Very intoxicating, sexy and I wish it was permanent so I could repurchase again and again. Anyone who doesn't want theirs just LMK, ha!

Beautiful beautiful rose!!! The loveliest rose perfume I've found to date. It's divine! Starts off quite a lovely green freshness, then the beautiful rose, with a gentle spicy edge and sweet patchouli and raspberry; gorgeous soft peony and pink pepper, with the smooth oozing golden amber. Delicate sweet lily, rich jasmine and light and airy orchid........all too gorgeous!!! All terribly lovely. It's a most alluring and exquisitely intoxicating perfume. Too feminine for words!!! Beautiful.

best rose fragrance i've ever tried...hands down. it's sweet,seductive and warm. very alluring. i bought 3 bottles because mac has only brought it out twice. chloe comes in second, then stella.

Dejarose by M.A.C. was one of the first second-hand fragrances I ever bought off eBay. I remember the listing well as it had been posted for sale by a disgruntled boyfriend who wished never to smell this fragrance on his lady again. I wore copious amounts of Stella McCartney's Sheer Stella at the time, so I bought Dejarose blind hoping that my boyfriend wouldn't be as displeased as the previous owner's partner was. Thankfully I enjoyed wearing Dejarose and was never subjected to any unkind comments whilst wearing it. Admittedly the opening top notes were super strong and I learnt very quickly not to over-apply. The initial blast of rose and peony was not the most pleasant and could be quite peppery on the skin, all thanks to the pink pepper accord. Once settled, Dejarose was a glorious lush, green red rose with all the bells and whistles. I enjoyed it most during Spring, but it could easily be worn all year round. The longevity was also superb, lasting a full day rain, hail or shine. Unfortunately, I only had 30ml of Dejarose and it was last year's Spring that saw that last of this bottle. As this fragrance has been discontinued there is no possible way to re-purchase. Dejarose can, however, be easily replaced with any fragrance from the Stella by Stella McCartney line or Aerin Lauder's Evening Rose.

The notes already sound really good, so hopefully if I get round to a MAC store, I can test this one as well as the other versions...

Really nice rose scent. Wish it was a bit stronger. Bought a small bottle in a thrift store for $10.99.
