Turquatic

This has become my hot weather signature perfume. I ADORE this. I was looking for something watery, fresh with some sweetness for the summer (or when I don’t want to do too much) and this is the perfect scent for it. Definitely a compliment getter considering it’s not an in your face type of perfume. I wore it to work and a colleague asked me what I was wearing. I agree with the reviews saying this is what the “IT” girls would’ve worn in the 2000s. I’m a late 90s baby but I can imagine this is how the cool older girls would’ve smelt back then, especially in the summer. It’s certainly aquatic, but it’s also breezy, fresh and sweet. It literally smells like how the bottle looks, I can’t really explain it lol. If you haven’t already, please try this out, I can’t imagine anyone not liking this unless you’re not into fresh/clean scents- but even then I think you might still like it as there isn’t too much of a particular note. This is the only perfume I’ve bought where I’ve wanted to get a backup straight away, and the only perfume that I don’t get sick of. There’s already a huge dent and I bought it 2 weeks ago 😅 so it’s not the longest lasting perfume, maybe 4 hours tops on me, but I don’t care it’s very affordable (£36 for a 50ml bottle) and it will forever be in my collection. They NEED to make a lotion/body cream! I hope they never discontinue this.

I'm not really that familiar with Aquatic fragrances for women but when I tried this one I have to say I thought they were being treated to some good juice from M.A.C. Now I've discovered it's unisex I'm happy that guys(not really me) will get a wear out of it because it's wonderfully aquatic in a way that many other supposed aquatics aren't. Hard to pin point quite what I mean by that? Maybe its that citrus or a salty marine or calone accord (especially in male aquatics) doesn't represent the true freshness of the broader term 'Aquatic'. Well Turquatic does just that before I knew the name I commented on my friends aroma and said 'mmmmm..nice. Very aquatic.' before I knew the name or saw that strange bottle. Anyway it's mainly cedar with a hint of water lily and something a little sweet wrapped in a fresh lightweight accord that I defy anyone to dislike. This cosmetics giant is known for being pricey and I'm not sure how much this juice costs but I can imagine it's probably expensive compared to high street designer fragrances. Didn't do a proper longevity test on my own skin only on my hand and it was gone pretty quick. My friend was carrying it in her handbag and was reapplying it so that told me it probably doesn't last well either. All in all smells really nice can't fault the scent.

Recently received a 20ml bottle of this on sale, and tried it yesterday after my morning shower. Initially I loved it and thought it was a great freshie alternative to Light Blue, which I've never really been a huge fan of (too much citrus, which doesn't usually suit me) -- this one seemed more sophisticated, little bit of smooth lemon in the opening, airy, woody, and maybe it was the anemone I was smelling that gave it a unique feature. Never experienced that note before. Turquatic came across fresh smelling, but a little more upscale. Well, it smelled great for almost 2 hours and then I couldn't really detect it anymore. Then I sprayed my shirt and I think that was a mistake. It seemed to smell better on skin, which of course doesn't last as long. Once I left my air conditioned home to go out into the 90 degree heat & humidity -- which I thought it would shine in -- it seemed to go sour. It smelled much better indoors in the cool air. I will give this one a few more chances and see how it does. But I'm glad I didn't immediately go and order a larger bottle based on my first sniff. It will take some more testing before I decide if it's worthy of a backup purchase.

I bought this perfume a couple years ago and still have the bottle because I took a break from it for a super long time. I revisited it the other week and have been wearing it again, and I forgot how stunning this perfume is. It is incredibly fresh and will make people turn and ask what you're wearing. I would say specifically men are drawn to this scent. All of my compliments on it have been from men. I wore it to a club last week and then we went bar hopping at my university. I got 2 compliments on it - both from men. I do not know if they changed the notes at all, so maybe I am lucky to have the original formula, but the bottle I have is impossible to disappoint. I highly recommend this for a casual spring or summer day. Put it on your skin after you shower. It is ABSOLUTELY not a fall or winter scent. This is strictly for spring and summer days and even nights. I would even say it is more specifically most appealing in a tropical area, like if you're going to the beach or going shopping in for example, Miami. The scent itself is very fresh and a little tropical, but that is the occasion I would wear this for.

I grew up by the beach and let me tell you, this is such a beach babe. It's the perfect FRESH breeze in the morning, no sun out, just the crisp smell of the ocean. Very clean girl. Aquatic for sure. Could be worn in the summer time on the hottest days but also in the winter time. It's salty sweet, but somehow warm & cozy at the same time. You can layer it with coconut and make it yummy, I love it. It's Pirate Flag by Kenny Chesney. Probably what Aquamarine smells like, kinda makes you wish you had mini starfish earrings, whispering the sweetest compliments. It's the kind of perfume you want to smell for when someone is trying to ruin your AURA, killing the vibe or maybe you just want a quick pick me up. This perfume is it. Could be worn with very little to no clothes, all covered up in the winter time, or simply for protection from losers trying to ruin your mood. Smells amazing. It has a lot of potential. Perfect for nights out with babe. I really love it. I have a full bottle but like to carry the roller ball for a juicy touch up. All dressed up or super casual, it's a really sexy perfume.
