Turquatic

This has become my hot weather signature perfume. I ADORE this. I was looking for something watery, fresh with some sweetness for the summer (or when I don’t want to do too much) and this is the perfect scent for it. Definitely a compliment getter considering it’s not an in your face type of perfume. I wore it to work and a colleague asked me what I was wearing. I agree with the reviews saying this is what the “IT” girls would’ve worn in the 2000s. I’m a late 90s baby but I can imagine this is how the cool older girls would’ve smelt back then, especially in the summer. It’s certainly aquatic, but it’s also breezy, fresh and sweet. It literally smells like how the bottle looks, I can’t really explain it lol. If you haven’t already, please try this out, I can’t imagine anyone not liking this unless you’re not into fresh/clean scents- but even then I think you might still like it as there isn’t too much of a particular note. This is the only perfume I’ve bought where I’ve wanted to get a backup straight away, and the only perfume that I don’t get sick of. There’s already a huge dent and I bought it 2 weeks ago 😅 so it’s not the longest lasting perfume, maybe 4 hours tops on me, but I don’t care it’s very affordable (£36 for a 50ml bottle) and it will forever be in my collection. They NEED to make a lotion/body cream! I hope they never discontinue this.

I'm not really that familiar with Aquatic fragrances for women but when I tried this one I have to say I thought they were being treated to some good juice from M.A.C. Now I've discovered it's unisex I'm happy that guys(not really me) will get a wear out of it because it's wonderfully aquatic in a way that many other supposed aquatics aren't. Hard to pin point quite what I mean by that? Maybe its that citrus or a salty marine or calone accord (especially in male aquatics) doesn't represent the true freshness of the broader term 'Aquatic'. Well Turquatic does just that before I knew the name I commented on my friends aroma and said 'mmmmm..nice. Very aquatic.' before I knew the name or saw that strange bottle. Anyway it's mainly cedar with a hint of water lily and something a little sweet wrapped in a fresh lightweight accord that I defy anyone to dislike. This cosmetics giant is known for being pricey and I'm not sure how much this juice costs but I can imagine it's probably expensive compared to high street designer fragrances. Didn't do a proper longevity test on my own skin only on my hand and it was gone pretty quick. My friend was carrying it in her handbag and was reapplying it so that told me it probably doesn't last well either. All in all smells really nice can't fault the scent.

Recently received a 20ml bottle of this on sale, and tried it yesterday after my morning shower. Initially I loved it and thought it was a great freshie alternative to Light Blue, which I've never really been a huge fan of (too much citrus, which doesn't usually suit me) -- this one seemed more sophisticated, little bit of smooth lemon in the opening, airy, woody, and maybe it was the anemone I was smelling that gave it a unique feature. Never experienced that note before. Turquatic came across fresh smelling, but a little more upscale. Well, it smelled great for almost 2 hours and then I couldn't really detect it anymore. Then I sprayed my shirt and I think that was a mistake. It seemed to smell better on skin, which of course doesn't last as long. Once I left my air conditioned home to go out into the 90 degree heat & humidity -- which I thought it would shine in -- it seemed to go sour. It smelled much better indoors in the cool air. I will give this one a few more chances and see how it does. But I'm glad I didn't immediately go and order a larger bottle based on my first sniff. It will take some more testing before I decide if it's worthy of a backup purchase.

I bought this perfume a couple years ago and still have the bottle because I took a break from it for a super long time. I revisited it the other week and have been wearing it again, and I forgot how stunning this perfume is. It is incredibly fresh and will make people turn and ask what you're wearing. I would say specifically men are drawn to this scent. All of my compliments on it have been from men. I wore it to a club last week and then we went bar hopping at my university. I got 2 compliments on it - both from men. I do not know if they changed the notes at all, so maybe I am lucky to have the original formula, but the bottle I have is impossible to disappoint. I highly recommend this for a casual spring or summer day. Put it on your skin after you shower. It is ABSOLUTELY not a fall or winter scent. This is strictly for spring and summer days and even nights. I would even say it is more specifically most appealing in a tropical area, like if you're going to the beach or going shopping in for example, Miami. The scent itself is very fresh and a little tropical, but that is the occasion I would wear this for.

I grew up by the beach and let me tell you, this is such a beach babe. It's the perfect FRESH breeze in the morning, no sun out, just the crisp smell of the ocean. Very clean girl. Aquatic for sure. Could be worn in the summer time on the hottest days but also in the winter time. It's salty sweet, but somehow warm & cozy at the same time. You can layer it with coconut and make it yummy, I love it. It's Pirate Flag by Kenny Chesney. Probably what Aquamarine smells like, kinda makes you wish you had mini starfish earrings, whispering the sweetest compliments. It's the kind of perfume you want to smell for when someone is trying to ruin your AURA, killing the vibe or maybe you just want a quick pick me up. This perfume is it. Could be worn with very little to no clothes, all covered up in the winter time, or simply for protection from losers trying to ruin your mood. Smells amazing. It has a lot of potential. Perfect for nights out with babe. I really love it. I have a full bottle but like to carry the roller ball for a juicy touch up. All dressed up or super casual, it's a really sexy perfume. Turquatic is a surprisingly juicy version of a definitively aquatic scent. There's a little sweetness, a little hint of florals, but on me, it's an aquatic summerbomb above all else. When I was little, I had a few different toys that were filled with turquoise-tinted, shimmery water. There was a glass magic wand from Disney World, where every wave sparkled with teal glitter, as well as a weird squishy tube that I guess was supposed to be a stress reliever, sold at some suburban store for science and nature lovers. Turquatic kind of smells the way I imagine these various items would, if turned into fragrance. Not edible, not highbrow, not elite in any way... but captivating, oceanic, translucent, and *pretty* -- a form of prettiness that should work on all genders. Not sure about wearing this daily; I think the magic would wear off. But spritzing it before painting watercolors or getting lost in a musical reverie? Yes, count me in! If you see it at a good price, might as well snap it up, for the amazingly attractive bottle at the very least.

I am not a fan of aquatic fragrances but this one is just right! I used to work for MAC and the first time I ever tried Turquatic I was not a fan. About the 3rd or 4th time of spraying this, I became hooked and bought it immediately. That's never happened to me, this scent really grew on me! And not just to the point where I liked it, but to the point where it became my signature fragrance for quite some time. It's fresh, zesty, clean, doesn't give me a headache, and it has a slight sweetness that leaves me wanting more. It's multi-functional for day and/or night. Men seem to love it, being that its unisex (but leans more towards women IMO). Bottom line, it is a sexy aquatic scent which is hard to find (sexy plus clean). Truly truly sexy. Clean scents are more simple, however Turquatic has a slight complexity- perhaps because it has more depth than your average "fresh, clean" fragrance. Definitely a perfume I will repurchase over and over again, and it appeals to many different noses.

I'm usually a gourmand girl but when the weather hits 90+ degrees outside and I don't want to attract any extra bugs and bees, I like to choose something fresher. Turquatic has been one of my absolute faves for this ever since it came out. Going to the MAC counter 20 or so ago was such an experience. Colors I had never seen before, a foundation range that went light enough to match my skin, the coolest and edgiest counter-culture type of people working there, who also happened to all be very nice! I was obsessed. They released their MV line of fragrances and sadly discontinued all of those The MV line was around when I was first introduced to MAC and then a few years later, Turquatic came out. So it just reminds me of those 2000s vibes, the unisex, everyone-is-welcome here feeling at the mac counter, and happy times! It doesn't feel dated at all, don't let that sway you away. Its a fresh and confident out of the shower cool human, ready to conquer the day 💪

MAC Turquatic is a fragrance that everyone should have in their collection. I've gone through 7 big bottles of this perfume and continue to repurchase it. The scent remains timeless and something that anyone from the age of 13 to 85+ can wear. It smells exactly like its name and what the bottle looks like. I have never smelled a fragrance quite like Turquatic. It's fresh, aquatic, lemony, with a slight hint of fresh cut grass. Truly a unisex, day time, office/work appropriate fragrance, perfect for spring and summer although I do also enjoy wearing it in colder months. It lasts all day on me and I can smell it on my clothes when I go to do laundry. I spray this 1-2 times, no more than 3 because it can be strong. The scent does not morph into something too different from the opening, although there is an initial scratchiness that goes away after about 20 minutes. All in all, there is a reason why this fragrance has a rating of 4.32/5.

I usually avoid aquatic fragrance because they somehow often smell either a bit stale on me, too soapy, or just wet, like as if you get wet in the rain - I don't like that smell. Turquatic is very fresh, clean and airy - a perfect aquatic, and what I wanted Armani Acqua du Gioia EDT to be. It's kinda like D&G Light Blue in the typeof fresh smell it gives off - Tyrquatic is what D&G Light Blue Dreaming in Portofino should have been. I love that there's no sharp notes in here, almost no matter how much you spray, and also that the dry-down is soft and warm - it smells heat! All of the aquatic perfumes I have previously tried have dried down bitter on me, but certainly not this one! I absolutely love this perfume and so does my boyfriend :) The only stange thing to me is: it seems like the perfume in rollerball-form is longer lasting than the spray-version, although I have no clue how that would even be possible...

Just applied 8 side to side swipes of the roller ball perfume on the top of my back hand and dapped that hand onto the other and near my back ears. Smells like a lighter less streaky version of D&G Light Blue intense (feminine) with some aquatic musky resemblance to Davidoff’s cool water (feminine) or YSL’s Y eau fraiche (masculine). About 5 minutes later it got sweeter and lemony. Oooh, so nice. I wanna see how it performs and will check back... ...Back now, 7 months later. I’ve misplaced my roller ball but had the spray bottle. I’ve worn it four times now. And with 7-9 sprays (2 small sprays on each side of my ear/hair-neck area, 1 each side of my torso, and one for each inner forearm or bend of elbow), it lasted the whole work day and jumped off my neck/behind ear area when the warm night came. It’s nice and made me smile smelling the citrus chill at dusk and early evening

TurQuatic is my signature scent, I absolutely adore it! I spritz my wrists and my clothing about 15 minutes before I leave the house. I get so many compliments and it's not super strong, the sillage is middle of the road. Which I appreciate. I do NOT want to leave a wake of scent as I pass by another person. I've worn the same scent since I was nineteen years old,with a few others mixed in, and it's high time for a change. I just love the dry down, it's very clean, fresh and aquatic with some amber tossed in. The oak moss and cedar are quite detectable. If MAC stops making TurQuatic, I'll be searching high and low for anything that is similar. IF anyone can compare this, please OH Please, let me know! Lara517

I've heard so many great things about this perfume, but never tried it out. This summer when I was shopping at Macy's I stopped at the MAC counter to give it a try. I instantly fell in love with it. Turquatic is an unique scent. It smells just like the beach with a hint of citrus and florals. The scent is meant for the spring and summer, but I don't care. I still use it in the fall and winter. I'm almost halfway done with the 50ml bottle. As you can tell I love this perfume to death. I even bought a 20ml bottle as a backup. I'm just glad that MAC decided to bring this perfume back to their permanent line. I will forever love this scent and have many bottles as backups. This is my signature scent.

I’ve always loved men’s cologne, and this unisex perfume satisfies that love for freshness and a hint of musk. Turquatic is a little green, a little citrus, a little woody, and a little deep. The musk compliments the citrus really well. I imagine a utopian rainforest would smell a bit like this. Fresh, clean, juicy, and green. I hope that makes sense. I DIG it! The only potential downside for people who love feminine scents is that it can read as masculine. The sillage and longevity are both moderate (better than my gentler perfumes and not as strong as some of my Arab frags.) I will probably love this stuff until the day I die, and wear it in the winter and fall regardless of its vibrancy.

THIS IS TOCCA SIMONE WITHOUT THE (strong) LEMON NOTES !!! when tocca simone dries, that sharp lemon disappears and it is literally identical to this. Simone is a lovely fragrance, its refreshing and vibrant and clean. Same with Turquatic! Both feel like jumping into a pool on a hot summer day! I first bought Turquatic at a duty free while traveling to Mexico and wore it throughout my entire vacation and it has since been my summer/ vacation fragrance! This is sooo much better value. Both Simone and Turquatic have the same longevity and silage (at least on me) however!!! and this is a big however!! 20ml Simone: $61 20ml Turquatic: $36 you do the math :) **simone does have a better bottle..

Pulled this off my shelf to sniff and instantly was transported back in time to 2013. On my way to class, Artpop blasting in my car, MAC lipglass on my mouth, a flowy cardigan in my messenger bag. Unlike some of the scents I wore back in the day, I still really like this one. It has a summery playfulness without being overly juvenile. It's watery, fresh, and citrusy all at the same time - there isn't a note that sticks out to me; its very balanced. It's more watery and more femme (but still unisex) than D&G Light Blue, and doesn't have that spiky, airy-salty note. It's more mellow. I can't see anyone truly disliking this, but with that said, it's definitely best suited to warm weather.

This perfume has such a great smell not strong but then not very weak. For me im a person with a sensitive smell that when perfumes are strong they give me headaches but when I smelt this one I knew this had to be mine. Such a lustful smell when I think of it. For the females mostly. For me I would have to say it lasts about 3-4 hours with 2 sprays. For the design of the turquatic bottle, it is very nice love the blue and yellow color mixture, its like another definition for the smell. You have to try it and even though it might not be your favorite like it is to mine theres no doubt that you will not dislike it at all. Give it a try.

This scent will remind you to drink water. Very fresh, very clean – reminds me of Palmolive Aquarium soap. If you enjoy Frutiger Aero imagery and aesthetics, this perfume will help to immerse yourself in that world. It’s a very happy fragrance – I’d like to believe the aquatic lotus and mild citrus have a direct impact on your mood.. though I might be conflating all that with adequate hydration. And to go off other reviews, this scent is unisex in the same way combining floral Febreze air mist with Axe/Lynx body spray would be (the proportions of which are subjective to the wearer’s olfactory interpretation). Very pleasant.

I really love this fragrance it’s a beautiful fresh, aquatic scent. The water notes, lotus and cedar wood shine here for me. It’s definitely unisex but I think it’s such a gorgeous light, airy, clean fragrance. Perfect for spring and summer. I love this to run errands in, go to the mall or anytime I want a bright, fresh, aquatic fragrance. This one gets you compliments. I love MAC fragrances! I have used quite a lot of the bottle of this that I have and that’s saying a lot as I have a lot of fragrances in my collection. It’s also not expensive and lasts a couple hours on the skin so that’s a plus!

I really wanted a perfume that smelled fresh with realistic aquatic notes, but also still a little sensual and befitting of a date night. This check marks both of those for me! When people say it smells like the bottle looks, that's accurate. I pick up mostly the water, mineral and citrus notes with a *hint* of watery pink florals. There is a whisper of woodiness in the background to anchor the scent but mostly it's very airy and soft. I plan on pairing this with VS Water Mist (sea notes, solar amber and driftwood) for the perfect summer moment 😍 best part? IT'S SO AFFORDABLE

Around 2008 or so I had a friend who wore the original 2005 version of this, and she would keep some in a cabinet in our staff bathroom, and I enjoyed taking whiffs of it. I see some people compare this to Light Blue, and I’ve heard others say it’s like Bath & Body Works Rain Kissed Leaves. Maybe if you crossed the 2 together? It a citrusy floral aquatic with a cedar dry down. The dry down of Alyssa Ashley’s Ocean scent is also cedar-y, like this one. It’s just okay for me because I’m a little tired of this type of cedar note. It does remind me of the later 00s time period.

I don't care about the time of year, I love this scent and will wear it all winter long. I'm also stocking up on it as MAC may discontinue Turquatic. The notes ring so true for this one. I smell lotus so clearly, along with amalfi lemon and cedar, the anemona and aquatic notes go hand in hand. It's different and delightful. I've never smelled anything like Turquatic and I've tried to find something similar - nothing even comes close. Someone mentioned a scent by Beyonce that smells "exactly" like Turquatic. I'm now off to find that scent!

I was looking for a nice, summery aquatic scent, and this just fits beautifully. This is a fresh, flowery perfume, not too complicated or presumptuous - it's just fun. I guess it's not unique in any way, yet I find it much happier and flattering compared to other aquatics. It's not a "sea salt" scent at all, and this is hardly a distant relative of "Cool Water" and the such. But it's aquatic, ozonic, and generally a perfect "Goog morning, Summer" in a bottle. The only downside to it is the poor longevity and mild sillage.

MAC Turquatic - 💙💚 I have been a LOVER of this aquatic fragrance since it hit the MAC Stores in the early-2010's. I keep a bottle of this gem in my perfume collection AT ALL TIMES. This jewel gives an aquatic, ozonic, aromatic, citrus, tropical realness type of vibe. In addition it adds more depth with a woody, powdery, sophisticated ora in the mix! On me the longevity and silage are both amazing! It's one of my most complemented fragrances! Job well done MAC... Happy Perfuming Dolls ~ *B* 💚💙

Opens and starts out very clean and crisp and watery without being like a standard generic soapy clean scent which I hate. Many "clean" scents smell like laundry detergent or soap to me and it drives me mad. It simmers down to remain clean but then woody and green notes develop on me but minus the spice that usually comes along with the scent of something that has a wood note in it. Amazing staying power for me and I always get a ton of compliments on it. Much more of a summer scent.

This is what a makeup artist would smell like. And I agree with other reviews that describe this as both fresh and warm. Theres the quick sparkle of lemon and watery notes, but warms up beautifully to a musky skin-scent. Neither sweet nor cloying. This is an extremely versatile summer fragrance that is a unique alternative to more popular "fresh" scents. Definitely unisex but softer and prettier than others. And the bottle is simply gorgeous. I always get complimented on this.

It was a good move for MAC to bring this back to life!It is a fragrance that projects each note very distinctly. Although it is a unisex perfume, it leans more towards the ladies end with a fresh, crisp, sharp aquatic. But not the typical aquatic....a legitmate aquatic scent. Longevity is a hit or miss. Sillage is perfectly moderate. But if you want a personal experience: my gf wears this fragrance and it absolutely drives me insane! I can't get enough of the smell!

Smells like vacation. My boyfriend thinks this and acqua di gioia smell good on me. 1/22 Edit: Boyfriend has already talked about going back to the mall to get a jumbo size of the "blue-green perfume" lmao. Whatever jokes people have made about this being a people magnet are true. 2/25 Edit: Boyfriend got me another bottle and yes this is very much a bougie 90s fish tank. It's like you took a dip in the most expensive hotel pool and got out in the sun. Love this <3

Just picked this up from a Youtuber's review and I was not disappointed! This is everything I love in a fragrance-- youthful, fresh, clean, with feminine floral and woody notes, dries down to something warm. So yummy, just enough sillage to enjoy at work or the gym without *doing too much* I've been trying new fragrances for months and I give my boyfriend a whiff of each one I wear. I didn't even have to ask with this one, he sniffed me and said I smelled great :)

A unisex dream come true. As with most products from parent company Estée Lauder, this is high-quality with a very distictive and confident character. At first I was skeptical, but after wearing it for a couple of hours I realized it deserves a permanent place in my collection. It's just what I've been looking for! It's the ultimate balance of refined citrus and refined cedar with just enough refined floral to give it depth without casting a gender shadow.

One of my all time favorites. It's pretty simple, it's a nice aquatic perfume that smells a tad masculine on me. Every time I wear it I feel a little nostalgic, but the perfume itself is timeless. I've been wearing for over 12 years! I will always have a bottle of this in my collection, for a dumb reach aquatic scent. It doesn't perform well, but for the price point (not to mention that it's a department store citrus aquatic) I don't think it matters.

I'm in love with this perfume! When I was younger, I'd wear DG Light Blue, but I got bored of it the older I got. This seems like the perfect, grown up, more well-rounded and exciting version of that. This is the best "bottle fits the scent" perfume I've ever seen. It's bright, fresh, clean, but also sexy and fun! I think this could work for literally any situation except maybe fall. Love it!

This is so good! It's like sunscreen mixed with sour fruit. It reminds me of taking a beach vacation in 2010. I've never been to a tanning salon, but this is how I imagine their *lobbies* smell - lotiony, beachy, and youthful. This is nostalgic in a surprisingly touching manner. It almost makes me want to cry, and I'm not sure why. It is slightly traumatic, but I love it.

This is the clean water scent I have been looking for. I can't wait to wear it in the summer. Best MAC perfume ever. The water note lasted about 2-3 hours then it dried down to a very nice powder. This will be a buy 5 bottles, vacuum seal, and store in a box deep in the closet. I don't want to go without this if it gets discontinued......which the good ones always do.

Turquatic is my signature scent. I adore it and am hoarding it, just in case MAC decides to no longer carry this fragrance. I just can't help but hoard this! The descriptions do NOT do it justice, in my opinion. I would call it a very, very green scent. Aquatic and clean as well, but mainly green notes. I'm awaiting a 50ml bottle in the post, can't wait!

I was late to the game with learning about this gem but I never want to live without it and I have multiple backup bottles. If I could choose one fragrance for life in my entire collection it’s this. I want to be buried in this scent. Beautiful. Fresh. Captivating. Sexy. Alluring. Pleasant. Inoffensive. Timeless. Perfection in a bottle.

This to me is the perfect unisex fresh scent. This is One of the first perfumes I ever owned, it’s also very nostalgic for me. The aquatic notes are extremely well done in this, I’m not usually a huge fan of aquatic notes and this one really hits the spot a lot of them seem to miss for me. My definition of summer in a bottle.

This is actually really good. I wasn't expecting it but this has immediately become one of my favorite freshies. Its aquatic and shampoo'y smelling while also maintaining a warmth and comfort about it that most freshie's do not have. I think I'm going to wear this all spring and summer. I'll have to stop myself.

One of my favorite fragrances. It’s casual but undeniably likable and versatile. Love it for bar hopping, bike rides, sports events, sunny days... the list goes on. Very nostalgic for me- reminds me of the early 2000s. People love to smell it too! One if my most complimented scents as it is bright and pleasant.

I love this so much more than I expected to. It’s citrusy, lightly sweet, and just “aquatic” enough to add a twist. It’s like Light Blue, Cool Water and a little Molecule 01 had a perfume together. I wish it lasted longer but it’s really pretty in the dry-down, too. Just a mellowed version of its opening.

Smells amazing, gives sea vibes, fresh, citrusy and aquatic. Not at all citrusy in a sharp way like light blue, it's a million times better than that one in my opinion. And to me it smells quite unique, not generic, but still something that I feel like basically everyone will at least think it's okay.

Smells like a feminine version of Pacific Rock Moss. Makes a perfect everyday scent for me here in Florida. It just makes me so happy and fresh. Juicy citruses , a lot of aquaticness and a creamy lotion like undertone that pairs well with the cedar. Will always be a staple in my collection

I really like this a lot. It smells salty and watery. Reminds me of JHAG Not a Perfume, but without the musky, body-smelling base notes. Its a bit more refreshing. Perhaps slightly powdery or even a bit spicy in the dry down. Quite unique. First time wearing it today and I'm intoxicated.

I'm not a big fan of fresh scents. In fact, most of the time they give me a big headache. However, this scent does not. It's aquatic, fresh, slightly floral and amazing. I love this scent. I currently only have the roller ball, but when that runs out I will repurchase a larger size.

I love this one! It's fresh, aquatic, tiny bit of floral, tiny bit of salt, tiny bit of musk. Makes me feel like I am at the most relaxing beach resort in the world. The bottle really embodies what's inside. Sillage & longevity aren't great, but it's still a really beautiful scent!

Light, friendly, sexy. My husband wore this when we met and he's not a fragrance fan, but he knew I was. I'm probably biased. This and eau fraiche are what I base my judgement of all other freshies. Not huge or eternal, but perfect for a romantic night out or brunch with friends.

Love this perfume, makes me want to hop in the car and drive to the beach. An excellent perfume for the summer time, but different than most summer perfumes. I actually prefer this over D&G light blue. I enjoy how this is unisex too, allowing it to play with your chemistry.

This is very pretty and truly aquatic smelling. Because of that, id rank it more unisex. Beware that the newer bottles don't come with the fancy top, just a plain teal cap. Part of me wants to return it and get the 1.7, but too late since I bought it on mercari lol.

Quite good. More than I expected from a makeup brand. Fresh, aquatic. Very watery (in a good way). Leans slightly feminine but can be work as a unisex fragrance. Projection is meh. You can find this one for great prices. Not worth full retail though.
