North Pakistan is Most Beautiful Fragrance From Mahdi Perfumes Pine and Juniper Creates great Aroma Excellent Scent 😍

"This one is over and under, this one is side by side." It was a lesson on the type of shot guns, their cartridges and weight. Autumn in the village, hidden deep in the mountains. There's a snaky road that swerves left and right, uphill and down. "Where and how to use the safety, to aim properly, never point towards a person, keep it low. Always check if the chamber is empty from any bullet left inside even after removing the magazine" and on and on my father goes. I hold an empty bullet shell casing to my nose and take it all in. The old wood cabinet gave off a musty feel. It was like opening an ancient relic. It was dusty and the sharp smell of aged, unattended, unpolished wood combined with the leaked gun cleaning oil rose up to me. This was originally grandfather's. He loved hunting and would have the dead animals taxidermied. It was cruel, yes. I haven't had the luxury of travelling to the fabled north so I'm unable to judge the perfume on merits of what it claims to be. What I am able to do, however, is to provide an introspective understanding. What it tells me, reminds me or shows me. ⏯Fantasy or Reality? Perfumers dispute on whether perfumery is about replicating reality or creating fantasy. If you were, for example, Jean Claude Ellena, you would disagree, as he is a man of 'fantasy' like when he said "I don't give a damn about reality". (BBC, 'Bottling the Memory' , 2011) On the other hand, this perfume is one of reality. It's an attempt to bottle nature. It's perfumer considers this as a "scent of experience". ⏯Scent. It's not challenging by any means, at least to me. It's not holding back about being green, woody, earthy, airy. Imagine dampness and light showers on the mountain soil with smell of cone trees surrounding them. Like on a hike. You can hear the insects and that specific bird in the background. The humidity combined with the damp grass, mud and mosquitoes. ⏯It's so much by being so less. It lists woody notes, but it's a TREE note perfume. It's utilizing all the elements of a tree right from the wood to the leaves and earth surrounding it. No, not the complexity of a fougere, tamed for the modern man. This is nature itself. There's a cold, sharp "air" note which dissipates sometime after the opening. The perfumer, Ali Raza, has done 'Rain On Me' before so this isn't such a big surprise. There is also another nature themed perfume, 'Into the Jungle' which tries to capture a "dense green jungle". What's also impressive is that the three wood notes, pine, cedar and juniper were distilled in Pakistan. ⏯Wearability This isn't too artistic to the point of being unwearable in public. In fact it can be a signature scent. But if you wear this inside a building, it just won't make sense. You will feel out of place. People will literally ask you 'Why are you wearing this?' not out of disgust but confusion. They'll think you got kidnapped in the wilderness and escaped back to civilization after being chased by a mountain leopard. There's going to be a contradiction between the untamed reality of the perfume and the man-made artificial world. But if you wore this outside, say on a hike or outdoor camping, picnic etc, it would be perfect and the atmosphere will compliment the scent. ⏯⏯Conclusion This is a contemplative study of man's connection with his surroundings and being the master of its creatures. This is a man who's got his stuff together. You have the primitive desire of hunting but also of sitting on a chair in the middle of all described above, and thinking. Thinking. Thinking. It's getting darker. Sun is setting. It's time to go back home and close the cabinet in the mountains. Listen ! Can you hear them? The fireflies and crickets.

Imagine yourself walking through the woods. It's early morning, sun just barely coming up. There is a crisp coolness in the air. It's damp, but not a dank dark damp, more light and refreshing. You're surrounded by pine trees glistening with the morning dew. THAT is what this smells like. Reminds me of the mornings waking up in my woods after an impromptu camping trip. It's perfect. Exactly what I have been looking for and was hoping it would be. Sad it is only a 50ml bottle.
