Crystal Moon

I find this perfume to be enchanting. It smells very unique to me. I don't smell the coffee or really any of the individual notes besides something Fruity and something earthy. I would consider purchasing a full bottle of this one.

Osmanthus here is warm and soft and floating throughout. It starts off brilliantly, shining on supports of jonquil and a clear lavender scent. The mid-notes support it as it blends through dry down to clarifying scents sharp fruits, spiky woods, and coffee. Okay I have only one really noticed the coffee note once, but it is present. The lingering scent still has a sparkle of osmanthus and a good duration. It's become one of my 'go to' scents. NOTE to Southern US gardeners - Osmanthus is closely related to the shrub/small tree we grow as "sweet olive" or, older name of "barometer bush"as it blooms through the winter and early spring when weather is changing. If you like the smell of sweet olive blooming, this is definfitly a scent you should try. It is such a unique scent I often get queries -- when people are within a six foot COVID radius, the sillage is not so huge. Apologies again for the wrong information on this scent.

Very floral and fruity. Great scent for an upbeat energetic lady not so much for a guy. The coffee note is not present. The resinous notes do play a role in delivering sweetness but they don't stand out alone as the floral and fruity notes dominate from beginning to end. It projects like crazy and longevity is all day.

If you’re a fan of the brand, you will not like my review. And I really dislike leaving negative reviews on a new brand, and especially when it’s from a niche or independent perfumer, but I also need to be honest. Crystal Moon smells like inexpensive potpourri from the 1980s; a smell similar to the scent Pier 1 imports used to pipe through their HVAC system. I would isolate some of the issue to the variety and/or strength of the fruit notes. Something is past it’s prime, it’s off and not working. Maybe it’s a stagnant apricot note? That’s not listed but it smells like mulled wine that is starting to ferment. On paper the notes look good. So if quality ingredients are here, I’m going to guess that partial blame lends to the blending of the composition. I can pull out the floral notes.... but coffee? The results are a kitchen sink approach to blending.

Honestly speaking, when I sprayed it on, I had very little idea what was actually in it. There is a slightly ambery-base to it, and a sweet peach chewing gum note, throughout. I also get a Prada-esque faux orris throughout, and that in itself keeps me intrigued enough to keep on sniffing... But I don't know, I just don't know... It comes across as a little wafer-thin and light-on, and this is in the back of my head as it performs like and EdC (or lighter, even), as within an hour or two it's already a skin scent, with minimal-to-no projection at all... I'm inclined to say 'nice enough', but it has very little staying power...

Orris, osmanthus, and amber hinoki with dried fruits... The greenish orris is blooming as the top note with hinoki, and i think violet leaves. Narcissus, coofee powder, and lavendar is quite obvious as well. Settles to powdered osmanthus, tiny coffee powder, narcissus, hinoki, juniper, balsam, and a touch of lavender & i believe the raspberry starts to shine in the middle note. It is quite interesting and easy to wear. It's like a crystal indeed.
