Nefertiti

This 100% does not smell like any other fragrance that I've ever smelled, It is funky and wildly different, but keeps drawing my attention back to it every time I spray it. It gives me a feeling of nostalgia for whatever reason. Definitely get a sample set from Shawn and try the line out, you'll be pleasantly surprised I am sure!

There has to be galbanum in this, you can smell it in the opening. It gives the scent a very green and bitter burst. This is another great scent by the house. Bitter, sweet and floral.

Nefertiti’s opening is beautiful; a smoky, sweet jasmine on a base of vetiver and cannabis leaf. And there’s something that’s a little powdery. Interesting in that this powdery scent leans masculine with my chemistry. Admittedly I did not wait for the dry down, because even though I like the first hour of this scent, it’s not for me (and I’m a woman who likes masculine scents). There’s something in Nefertiti that makes it unwearable for me, and I don’t think it’s the Oud or cannabis notes. I’m left scratching my head.

A heap of white floral and some smoke and stank -- I didn't like it all that much when it went on, mostly because I've never really liked any kind of scent like this. I mean, if it's your kind of thing, sure, go for it, but I don't think I would ever really go for something like this...

I get the sample set in June and this is the 3rd that I have tried. That's saying a lot right there. The opening here is putrid. Jasmine is volatile along with the musk and touch of sweetness and spice from honey and immortelle. 100% feminine in a gothic sort of way. This goes on far too long before you get the light smoky/spicy 100% masculine dry down. Super strange frag that is to say the least unlike anything that I have put my nose to. No wonder it's took me over 2 months to sample another from this house.

The first hour or two of wearing this fragrance is a unique green jasmine accord that smells pretty good with some sweetness added from honey and immortelle. There is an incense accord as well that brings a different facet and depth to the mid notes and at this point I'm thinking this is a collection worthy fragrance because it is interesting and has personality. The drydown however rests heavily on synthetic musks which overpower everything good about the fragrance and turns it soapy and like a laundry dryer sheet on my skin. Too bad because this stuff would be magical if it was real deer musk used instead. The oud is completely hidden by these synthetic notes as well. I'm not against synthetic notes at all but I don't think they should be relied upon solely to extend the longevity of a fragrance. To be honest I would have preferred if this one just got rid of the base altogether and only lasted 2 hours and faded away.

Fizzy sour citrus... Bay leaf is obvious and crystal clear along side with grapefruit, harsh vetiver, immortelle, and bits of jasmines in a sparkling fizzy blend. It's nice but the bay leaf is overcoming the blend in away that makes it overly extra bitter. ok
