Jardin des Roses

Jardin des Roses has been on the market since 2012 when it was launched with a heart-shaped bottle - designed by Juan Carlos Rustarazo (who has also created other bottles for the company) - and a special painting depicting a rose garden, created by the plastic artist Simone Campos. After that, there was a repackaging, bringing a new bottle, which was used in some releases of the time. In 2017, there was a new change and Jardin des Roses entered into the visual pattern of the line of fragrances that offer refills for consumers. The bottles are simple and use the same mold, bring a very generous spray and carry 145ml of fragrance. In turn, each refill (made of recycled material) contains 155ml, enough volume to recharge the empty bottle and still fill a travel size spray. To this day, it is possible to find criticism about the withdrawal of the old bottle. But it is important to understand that some changes are beneficial to us, consumers, and that was one of them. What is lost in beauty is earnt in the economy. Jardin des Roses features orange, tangerine, green notes and black currant in the output. Then, the body of the fragrance brings notes of rose, jasmine, red and yellow fruits (especially the peach), muguet and champagne extract. In the base, notes of musk, cedar, and sandalwood. Its fame is true. From the moment it touches the skin, there is a pleasant feeling and, above all, quality in the fragrance. The creative concept speaks of the use of the champagne extract, emphasizing the originality of a Brazilian fragrance. However, I do not feel the bubbling effervescence of the champagne. Here, this note masks the sweet side of the fruit, enhancing the scent of the roses. It is more acidic than alcoholic in a way. On my skin, I smell the tea roses (with their coral colored nuances, pictured on the bottles), peach, lily of the valley and plenty of musk. The impression is of wearing a much more expensive perfume! And unlike the white roses of the fragrance of Pétales de Roses Blanches, which direct me to a specific age group, Jardin des Roses carries greater versatility in this aspect. However, the numerous criticisms regarding its durability are real: it lasts little on the skin (on tape, however, it lasts a long time). Jardin des Roses is delicate, romantic and has a sophisticated side. It deserved a Deo Parfum version, even if in limited edition and with a special bottle.
