La Fleur

La Fleur is Maurice Roucel take on Tresor Midnight Rose. Its notes are almost the same but the end result is a more balanced sweetness, a more rosy (flowery) than raspberry (fruity) scent, on my skin a better and more usable perfume. TMR on me is too clingy and LF is classy , sweet scent. Pity it was made for Mahogany and did not achieve a broader release.Longevity is 7/8 rs with moderate sillage for 2/3 hours. Even without being cloying not to be used on temps greater than 92 F.

La Fleur (The Flower, in English) was launched in 2016, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mahogany brand. Its bottle established a new visual identity for the fragrance division of the company and was produced by Premier Pack, with two-color gradient painting and gold-colored engraving. And it was undoubtedly one of the best investments that Mahogany made, taking into consideration that the beauty of the bottle is still very much linked to satisfaction and to the buying process when it comes to perfumery. The fragrance of La Fleur was created to convey joy, through the explosion of a bouquet of roses and vibrant fruits. The official composition quotes top notes of mandarin, pear, cold spices, raspberry and pink grapefruit. In the body, notes of peony, lily of the valley, a bouquet of roses, magnolia and musk. The base combines notes of amber woods, white cedar, sandalwood, vanilla and patchouli. On the skin, La Fleur functions as a beautiful floral-fruity. It is that kind of perfume with a blazing start, because of the raspberry, which gives a bittersweet aspect. After this stage, what remains is a light and cheerful floral bouquet, with a spring morning look and more presence of the peony and the magnolia than the rose, although the creative concept says otherwise. You can also notice the muguet, but nothing too exaggerated. In the background, the musk imparts a certain depth to the fragrance, but do not expect something sweet because of the vanilla, because it does not exist here. La Fleur is a discreet perfume, after all. It starts intense but loses strength very fast. It does not have good projection, although it lasts for more than six hours on the skin. It is also a very versatile perfume. It looks like that kind of flower that is born in the middle of cracks between rocks, that is, it fits in any space. In my opinion, it is good for those who work in small places, sharing space with other people or, for those who only invest in fragrances with a soft profile, without giving up elegance.
