Savana Style

Best known just as Savana Style, this perfume was launched in 2015 and follows the floral-oriental style, aimed at women who exude femininity and sensuality. On Mahogany's website, there is another perfume, with the same bottle and packaging, just called Style Pleasures. I researched, thinking it might be a variable fragrance (some kind of flanker), but it seems to me to be the same product, even in relation to the olfactory pyramid. Something tells me that the term Savana was taken from the current material, considering that my bottle is from 2016 and was given to me when I was at an event of the company. Anyway, Savana Style Pleasures features notes of bergamot, grapefruit and orange blossom on top of the composition, giving way to a sensual and sweet heart of patchouli, jasmine, praline and iris of Firenze, on a creamier base of vanilla, amber, and musk. The term "floriental" fits it very well, but if it were classified as floral-gourmand it would not be wrong either since the fragrance opens with a floral touch and evolves to a smell of dry caramel. It's a great fragrance, no doubt! It matches what men like to feel on women and, above all, what many women look for when buying a perfume. But it is not suitable for those who run away from sweet fragrances. One point to be clarified in this review is its constant comparison with La Vie est Belle (Lancôme). It seems that Savana Style Pleasures is not really a creation of the house and, truth be told, the inspiration is clear. I do not like to use the term "identical" in my analyzes and always advocate the difference between similarity and equivalence. I do not agree with many of the reviews that I read or watch saying that such a perfume is "equal" to another when I notice similarities and also differences. But in this case, I have no escape: although I have never reviewed the perfume of the other brand, I have in my collection the original versions in EDP and EDT concentration and I can say that Savana Style Pleasures is identical to La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum. During the tests, I came to wear both on different areas at the same time, and evolution occurred in the same way and at the same time. It's incredible! It looked like I was wearing just one perfume. But it's worth ratifying: I'm talking about the EDP version, because the other, called L'Eau de Toilette, is more floral, less sweet and has almonds. Mahogany was able to replicate a worldwide sales success with a different composition but with the same result and quality - including projection and longevity - for about 1/3 of the price charged. That is if you felt guilty to spend that other or never bought it for financial reasons, here is your final solution.
