Phraenesya Pastiera

A hidden holy grail in the gourmand world—so rare and unspoken of that it almost delights me to know I’m among the very few who cradle this masterpiece in my collection. It begins with a luminous burst of candied orange, sparkling with brightness, before unveiling the heart of that distinctive pastiera note—rich, warm, and nostalgic. As it settles, the fragrance melts into a luxurious cocoon of coconut-kissed vanilla, laced with an almost nutty undertone that feels both unexpected and addictive. Layered with Kilian’s Angel’s Share, it becomes an intoxicating harmony, elevating both scents to new heights. While the reformulated version leaves me wishing for stronger performance, the original remains untouchable—flawless, decadent, and unforgettable.

This is perfection in a bottle. It was a blind buy so I got 30 ml. Now I regret it. I wish I had bought 100 ml. You have to love candied orange. Because first 1 hour it’s very heavy on candied-sugary orange note. The dry down is the best part 🫠 if you love orange and sweet perfumes, I think it’s safe for blind buy

Originally named Frenessia, now re-bottled (cheaper looking than before but I get that costs have to be saved somewhere) and titled Phraenesya Pastiera. Gotta say have worn a couple of times and first impression is it doesn't seem to have the projection and longevity mentioned in the previous year's comments. Reformulation already, as well as renaming and re bottling??? Anyway, opens with creamy lemon, followed by a well balanced pastry note that's sorta familiar (Sora Dora Jany maybe). Eventually a soft caramel/toffee creeps in followed later by vanilla/amber at the base. Has sweetness but not overly so, and personally I find it perfectly unisex. I'll keep wearing this and update regarding perception of durability. It is nice though!

I'm having a controversial relationship with this perfume. To me this scent is sooo patchouli-forward (or my nose is sensitive to it) all the way around, that it's hard for me to focus on other notes. I recognize the delicious citrus-cakey, caramel sweetness, the smooth coconut, and this is undeniably such a quality scent, bu I can't get past the patchouli, and at some point like I felt I was just sniffing Mugler Angel Fantasm.😕 I don't feel like it's an original creation, and I'm surprised that, with so many other notes, the patchouli can be so dominant. I'm going to keep this until fall, and give a shot again, hoping that some maturation will help.

Just received this from Italy! It definitely pulls coconut heavy on me, which is awesome. It smells like the most delicious coconut cake with a squeeze of citrus. It's a dense, heavy fragrance, so perfect for colder weather.

Sweet fluffy coconut cake. If you like projection and longevity this fragrance will impress. Creamy, smooth & dense. Milky coconut that settles into a touch of light floral orange blossom.

The pastries 🍰 note is so strong in this definitely more editable gourmond leaning. I'll warn in the heat this pastrie note made me nauseated...I like it much much more in cooler weather

At first spray its STRONG, very very heavy coconut with citrus. I smell LOTS of cinnamon and something like rum? I love it took me a while though 7.5/10

I AM SO UPSET!! I was so excited to try this and love it, but there is something about it that, once on my skin, turns into the scent of puked-up oatmeal. It really smells so good from the bottle to me, coconutty like everyone says. But the second I sprayed it on my wrist, no. 6 hours of incoming suffering. I genuinely got nauseous a few times while wearing it. Not the perfume's fault, but holy shit this one did NOT want to play nice with me.

Humph...I'm not completely sold on this yet, nor am I ready to pass it on just yet! From the nozzle - delicioso! Coconut, crust, butter, sweet, a little pastry spice...just wonderful. On my skin...a whole nother story; or lack thereof! I smell some crust and some butter - and that's it...There may be some additional sweetness that's developed in my recent wear test, as compared to my initial wear test - and b/c of that - I'm holding onto this, to see what other desired accords develop. It's not the biggest let down b/c there are more than enough gourmand and sweet/pastry forward perfumes, that I can layer this w/; albeit, when more pricey fragrances don't hit their intended, or projected fragrance profile mark - it is disappointing to me. But we shall see!
