Amberley Ombre Blue

A classic aromatic quality that I find intriguing and so rare in contemporary perfumery. Ombre Blue is reminiscent perhaps of Mary Kay's Genji from the 1980s (cedar, patchouli, and rose, among other similarities). Sensuous, potent, and formal. Where Ombre Blue diverges from Genji is the introduction of a leather accord. The leather here is less natural than the magic of Bvlgari’s Azaran or Zara’s Leather Jardin, and it’s where Ombre Blue stumbles slightly (other than the name that suggests this is a blue fragrance despite having no relation to typical blue chemical bombs). Ombre Blue may be well received by men who appreciate niche fragrances and those of cultures where rose is understood to be a unisex note, particularly when it is balanced by the grounding quality of cedar. The base presents a musky and mineral quality that I really enjoy - like the smell of skin that has dried in the sun after a swim in clean lake water. Had Ombre Blue turned up the rose just a bit, added the sweetness of beeswax, or used higher fidelity cedar, it would be on par with vastly more expensive offerings. As it stands, this is a decent value. Due to Ombre Blue's potency, I recommend wearing only on fabric and lower on the body (trousers or skirt instead of shirt or blouse).

I just got this delivered today, and it was a blind buy for my fiancé , god i love it I can't stop smelling it on my whrist. it has a spices smell at the bottom but it's not overwhelming. I would picture it as a classy man in suits perfume. doesn't smell cheap at all. I'm gonna convince him that this should be his signature smell. Girls if you love classy masculine smells that don't cause you a headache , get this for your partner. (still smelling it on my wrist : obsessed)

Absolutely love this one from the first spray. I'm over 70 bottles in the collection.. I have a few patchouli based ones bought looking for something to remind me of my dad. This is the first that I get that warm patchouli reminiscent of him, but must add the rose I get.is absoutely amazing as well. I don't have anything else with a rose tone,.this is just done so we'll. The blend between all tones is so balanced. Highly recommend this one!

Amazing scent Leather patchouli rose, musky dry down. It's blended really well, the overall quality is incredible.

It's a beast, not for car pool or small offices or for those who do not want to be noticed and not for summer. It's strong, it's blue and manly, it's really sweet, like "I spilled some syrup on me "sweet. I had it for 2 years and I used it about 10 times. Does not smell cheap by any means, but it's too sweet for me. Not the best, not the worst. From time to time, I reach for it, but never twice in the same month and never in warm weather.

This is such a magnificent, complex, seamless blend, and quite a beast, potent with a few sprays. Excellent value for the price. Very smooth, the rose with patchouli is what stands out for me, but it is extremely well blended. As soon as I opened it, I ordered a second bottle as it had a huge discount. (It gives a similar feeling to Zino, but it's not nearly as shaving cream / barbershop - like, the similarity rather lies in the overall smoothness and the intricate balance of the fresh - strong notes.)

Surprised there's no more reviews. This is a masterpiece, niche level, completely differente from Lattafa mainstream offerings. Not for everyone though. If you like floral masculine and very strong beast mode scents this is for you. It reminded Dolce Gabbana The One Mysterious Night but better. Opening is slightly fresh but spicy, a few moments later rose and patchouli show up with strengh. Drydown is a soft leather to die for...Highly recommended if you meet the above criteria.

I tried it today at a friend's, not bad at all, but I can confirm it's 1/1 with Armaf Shades Wood, maybe a little brighter. Good performance, l=8h, constant projection. A little vibe of detergent of clothes, but in the good sense. At 16 euros, what it is now, it's okay, but it seems better Armaf, at the same price. Edit: I Tested Guerlain Oud Essential. I think, 90% Amberley Blue is trying to be a replica of this perfume. So, a little far from Patchouli Ardent.

В изсъхването ,да ....наподобява Patchouli Ardent,но в началото до 1 час след пръскане има много силна и остра миризма,която трябва да мине за смокиня,но е толкова отвратителна....Продадох своя парфюм. Не,не е добра алтернатива на синия Guerlain. Много по добър е Loui Martin Patchouli Ardent

Not as good as Patchouli Ardent. Here, there is much more rose, oud, leather and cheap citrus. It does smell cheap.
