Avant

Purchased for 9.99 USD on Amazon as a stocking stuffer. First time I tried it, I did not like it all. On subsequent uses, I am loving this. It is a very smoky take on Aventus, more so than my Al Haramain L'Venture or my Banana Republic Black Walnut Legend. Must be the mix of vetiver, musk, and patchouli. It may not be your cup of tea. But for 9.99, how can one go wrong.

Don't understand why this gets so much hate. It's 9.99 on amazon right now so I picked it up. Is it a 1 to 1 to aventus? No. Is it decent for what it is? Yes. I'll give it a 7.5/10. It's smokier than aventus. Projection is moderate to above average and sillage is moderate. After a couple weeks of owning it sillage has gotten better. I'd call it slightly above average.

This is smokier than aventus which i assume is why it got bad reviews. I picked it up for 10 bucks and at that price it's very good.

Smoother than CDNIM EDT and it captures the classic fruity Aventus opening for $10. Not as smoky as the reviews would lead you to believe, the smokiness is present of course but the soapy, vegetal greenness is more noticeable than the smokiness to me. It feels trite to make a point about the maceration of these Arabian clones but I'm really excited to see how this one shapes up. Every facet of Aventus is present in Avant but the levels are off. Its like listening to the same song with different equalizer settings. If you aren't neurotic about Aventus I would say buy Avant and move on. I had considered going on an Aventus clone search last year but now that I have Avant the idea bores me and seems like a waste of time/money. For the price of an Al-Rehab oil I would definitely recommend this.

This fragrance presents two compelling questions: how is it available for only $10 on Amazon, and why is a smoky accord omitted from its official note breakdown? The latter is particularly perplexing. This fragrance excels as a layering component, thanks to its prominent smoky facet. For a more nuanced take on a Creed Aventus-inspired composition, try layering Avant modestly over Club de Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition in a 3:1 ratio (CDN 3 sprays, 1 spray Avant). For a smoky pineapple-centric profile, try Avant with Qaed al Fursan. It adds complexity to an otherwise linear QaF for those summer nights at the tropical resort.

This is like a smoky batch of Aventus that lacks longevity. The smell is great but drops off after an hour or two at which point it's a skin scent. Of all the clones I think Supremacy Silver lasts the longestm if you want staying power, go with that.

A little simpler than Club de Nuit but not as bad as people depict it. More sourness, less complexity, simple stable profile.

It’s fresh summer fragrance. There’s nothing not to like

Now I'm gonna open up by saying I have never smelled Aventus, I'm gonna be comparing it to the other Aventus clones I have tried. It opens EXTREMELY smokey and woody, with a little peppery spice. After a few mins it starts to let some of the citrus through, but its still overwhelmed by the smokey smell. I do prefer the smokey opening of Avant more than the sharp lemon pledge opening of CDNI, however after about 3 mins its worse in just about every way. Its not very sharp or pungent which I do like, but I can get that smooth scent out of Montblanc Explorer without the overwhelming smoke scent. It also left a sticky residue on my wrists for a few mins which I was not a fan of. I wouldn't say its an inherently bad or intolerable scent, but it certainly doesn't achieve what it advertises. I don't think it would be a disappointing blind buy if you knew that it was its own scent almost entirely.

This smells good in the air, but for some reason the nozzle smells really smoky. Longevity was horrible at max two hours and does not project. Performance is more like cologne concentration than EDP. I really wanted to like this, and do love the scent, but it doesn’t give you the time to figure out whether it works with your skin. It will go into the running short errands category. Wore it to work and it was pretty much gone by the time I got there an hour later. Barely a skin scent. But only cost me $13 and change. I would recommend Afnan Supremacy Silver and Dumont Nitro Black for cheapies over this, because of the lack of longevity and projection.

Not sure about this one. I love Aventus, I love Maison Alhambra, but this one... I don't know. I was excited to get this one because Maison Alhambra is usually pretty good with their fragrances. But when I first got this one, I picked up hints of....bacon grease? I'm not sure. I have Lattafa Shaheen Silver, Al Haramain L'Aventure, and L'Aventure Intense - and this is nothing like either. It's been sitting almost 2 months now, so it's had time to macerate. It's a little better now, but still not great. Maybe more time? If you've already picked this one up, I hope your experience is better than mine.

If this was advertised as a separate fragrance from Aventus I probably would've liked it but it looks like an Aventus clone but it doesn't even smell close to it . If you want a green and smoky scent sure buy it it's really cheap but if you are looking for an Aventus clone go for something else

Terrible!!! Not to say that I threw this bottle away, I took bergamot essential oil that I have here at home and pineapple essential oil, in a proportion of for every 10 ml of this Avant I put 2 ml of bergamot essential oil and 0.5 ml of essential oil of pineapple...I let it macerate for 2 months and now it's acceptable, but I had to do this magic. It also now has a higher concentration, almost being considered an extrait de parfum.

This scent can not be called a fragrance, it smells like rotten vegetables, if you are looking for an aventus clone, there is: Afnan Supermacy Not Only Intense. THIS ONE IS GARBAGE,

One of the less good aventus clones, performance is terrible and opening has a sweaty quality about it. Not the worst, but definitely a miss.

Skip this one, it's a really low quality Creed - Aventus cologne copy. The cologne version of Aventus is not to be confused with the standard Creed Aventus either. A family member had this on his dresser, along side the other Alhambra "the official club intense" which is their take on Club De Nuit Intense by Armaf and both by Alhambra were garbage. To Alhambra's credit their fragrances (and quality) has improved on other fragrances such as Hercules. Trying them side by side there's huge differences, I found this lighter, more airy. The quality is so bad I don't know how or why they can sell this and this is coming from someone who loves clones. If you're after an Aventus style fragrance on a budget stick to Al Haramain L'Adventure intense. Not the original version. I like L'Adventure intense more than the original version of Club De Nuit Intense as well. If this was my first impression with an aventus clone, I'd be talking crap about it until I forget what an aventus was.

Usually maison alhambra makes nice clones, so it was a most unpleasant surprise to smell this piece of garbage, at first you get a second of aventus like scent but that quickly fades and turns into a smoky burnt sausage smell, not kidding. Wouldnt use this as a room freshner either, this went straight into the trash BTW i dint get why someone would use chatgpt to make a fake ass review saying this smells like BDC, it smells NOTHING like blue de Chanel

A blind buy that I never use again. The smokiness is a killer. I only smell smoke. The rest of the notes are overshadowed.

This is absolute garbage. Smells like a pack of cigarettes. Very far from Aventus.

i had many clones long enough to give you this advice after you buy it leave it in room temperature dark place for couple of weeks then the best place for it after that is your fridge : i experimented with many bottles , when i leave them just in room temperature you know temperature never stays the same it gets in the perfume composition and some notes will disappear some notes you love so much sometimes put it in the fridge the perfume goes back to it's original composition almost works for all perfumes some perfumes usually the 100$ and above niche brands they thought that through and just a dark room temp is enough to keep the composition good the cheaper designer and clones need cold temp , i knew that since i was a kid from a perfume shop owner in the neighborhood but i didn't believe it much and usually when some notes get weak because of the temp change that wasn't a big deal for me and sometimes i use the fridge to restore the notes to 100% but there was times like for example i got a fancy perfume bottle from middle east that had a mix of expensive oud note with a touch of castorium and it was the best new smell for me ever , after i left the bottle out in a summer with weak AC the expensive oud note was gone and only a horrible heavy castorium note was left i almost threw the bottle away , guess what i put it in the fridge and that heavenly oud note was back , the castorium note went back to the perfect level .

Update: Tested on paper from the same in-store tester bottle that I smelt prior. Terribly inaccurate clone. --- Smelt this twice briefly only from the atomiser (which means I was only getting the initial opening). Based off that, this is a very close Aventus clone - at least in the opening. Moderate quality though. Balanced with zingy pineapple+bergamot, oak moss and a touch of smoke and birch. I’ll update my review if/when I buy this and test it properly. Actually significantly closer than my bottle of Armaf CDNIM Extrait, which is actually a very inaccurate clone and has way too much oak moss, almost no smoke, and no birch at all. Supposedly CDNIM Extrait clones an old F batch though. Also alllll Armaf CDN atomisers suck ass because they spray onto the collar and even drip down the bottle with anything more than one spray (I own 5 different CDN bottles). Mini rant but f*ck Armaf’s incessantly incompetent bottle/atomiser designer.

Very smoky take on the Aventus DNA. Smoky not like mysterious incense, not like tobacco from a cigar, not ashy. It's the kind of smokiness when you buy smoked almonds. Or when you go camping and cook some food over open fire, then your hair is going to smell smoky like this. Behind this smokiness is the citrus and pineapple you expect from an Aventus clone. The smokiness is a dealbreaker for me even though it gets slightly weaker as the scent develops on your skin. It's too much and it smells kind of dirty. If you don't mind it then you could be happy with it. It smells less artificial than CDNIM and less "this is just the citrus part of Aventus" like Montblanc Explorer. Performance is decent. Price is great. But I can't get over the dirty smoke.

Short point, this is like a clone of CDNIM. What I mean is the birch tar, smokiness comes through loud. Citrus is there but not much in comparison. Will i wear it on its own? Maybe, but likely I will layer with Explorer, L'adventure or something on the citrus side. It does last a good while. Why it gets the most hate of other Aventus clones, idk. It is like the smokiest batch of Aventus. I got it for $10 so to me it was worth it. Who knows in a few weeks what it will smell like. Maison Alahambra usually gets better in time. Update: Dry down smells kind of like the smell on your clothes after being around a campfire. Not like By the Fireplace (I don't like that one). But Smoky like a camp fire. Whatever that is worth to you, just an observation.

Perfume that is very reminiscent of Creed. Larive's Black Creek excels in both quality and presentation. Almost the same quality as the club de nuit intense, a little lower, but almost similar, and, for the price, it ends up being worth it - cost/benefit. Lasts about 7 hours with a moderate projection of 1.5 hours on my skin.

Just received the fragrance, Avant EAU parfum, for $10 from Amazon. It’s a bit smokey but after dry down it smell good. Going to let it mature like it’s been recommended. Looking forward to future use of this fragrance.
