Brûlant Oud

First off, this does not smell like Amouage Gold Man. It was falsely advertised as such on some websites. This is super floral in the opening, with a hint of cumin and something green. It reminds me of a Camay/Lux bar of soap. It's not for beginner/novice fragrance enthusiasts, you've got to like classic floral unisex middle eastern scents to cope with the first hour or so. The drydown is where it's at, which reveals an animalic undertone that really works in contrast with the floral overload. The performance leaves nothing to be desired, lasts over 10 hours on me (strongest Alhambra I've come across). Hated it at first but couldn't stop sniffing it, and now I love it even though it's hard to pull off.

If you're just reading the notes, you might think is a clone of Overture. But if you really sniff it. It's not a clone of Overture for sure. I think it's a clone of Gold Man. I never try Gold man before. but I have a bottle of Gold woman. it's really similar to this one. But this one is more sweet, more animalic and more dense so this is might be a clone of Gold Man for sure! In term of the scent is really beautiful. Really mature, elegant and luxury. It's heavy on floral and some sweetness I don't know what is from (Maybe geranium?). And some animalic on the background really beautiful. doesn't stinky at all worth every penny, I LOVE IT!

Wonderful perfume, not easy to understand since it's super elaborated like the more famous iconic niche Amouage Overture Man: very good inspired Fragrance. I confirm, even if it's not an easy perfume, it's a very good purchase: if you love fragrances, you have to own one of this too : )

I've been longing for a fragrance with goat hair tincture and skin notes. This is a clone of amouage overture man.

Amazing performance, very long lasting, animalic scent.. great value for money..

This is NOT a clone of Overture. I made the mistake of buying this thinking it is, but it's not. This one is floral, soapy, animalic and a bit incensy. The notes here are wrong and the idiots who say this is a clone of Overture are liars. It's not a bad fragrance. It certainly isn't mass appealing because it's weird but weird in a good way. It reminds me of when I was a kid and went to my grandparents' house in the countryside. They had a sort of kitchen area with a fireplace and because they didn't have modern infrastructure, they had to boil water in a cauldron over the fire. My grandma used to bathe me in that same room and that smell of homemade soap combined with the smell of my skin and the smoke from the fire smelled exactly like this perfume. Again, not a bad fragrance. I would say this is more on the artsy side but it's 100% wearable. It's just that I was looking for an Overture clone and this isn't it. Thanks Fragrantica for not fact checking the notes listed on your site. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning this without any valid reason which is a very fucking hard thing to do.

How similar is this to Tom Ford Soleil Brulant? Or is there a closer clone to that one?
