Candid Tonight

Okay so this smells like a mix of Scandal and So Scandal. I've never smelled SBN but I assume this is probably spot on, as all of my Maison Alhambra fragrances have smelled exactly like whatever they're an impression of. I think I like this more than OG Scandal because the OG drydown has like an ambery buttery vibe that takes over and gives it a scent that I would call "dusty." The OG opening is beautiful, like honey mixed with cherry, but I've never liked the drydown. However with THIS..it has the beautiful opening of OG Scandal mixed with the lighter drydown of So Scandal. I would describe the drydown as a fruity floral dryer sheet. It's sweet but clean despite the honey, it doesn't turn animalistic on me like OG Scandal. It doesn't turn dusty at all either. It's very strong and long lasting for me like most Maison Alhambra scents. Love it. I would definitely repurchase this.

These are the correct scent notes: Top notes: Honey, Apple, Tuberose, Bergamot. Heart notes: Cherry, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Orange blossom. Base notes: Tonka beans, Vanilla beans, Green pear, Powdery white musk. This smells like honey and cherries, it’s a heavy one so this will be a late fall/ winter wonder for me. I just sprayed myself and it’s projecting about 3-4 feet but boy do I smell good. It’s a sexy cherry, a candy smell not dark cherry per se but a super nice warm cherry perfect for winter. If you like honey scents I’d suggest you give this a try. I smells a lot more expensive than the 20 bucks I spent on it!!

Honeyed cherries, tonka and jasmine as if they were dipped in the most delicious amber coloured honey - it’s lovely and to begin with is kinda reminiscent of Lolita Lempicka - more so Mon Premier than Le Parfum and a lot LOT stronger. This stuff is pretty nuclear, one spray and it’s filled the room. It’s well worth the price, might be headache inducing to some as it’s quite heavy. Around 12 hours later, it’s still on my skin albeit it’s quite quiet and it’s still on my clothes with low-moderate projection. Unbelievably good!

I was so upset when I found out that JPG had discontinued this fragrance and when I saw reviews on this one and people saying it smells almost identical honestly I find “dupes” rarely smell like the fragrance they “dupe” so I was scared I was going to be extremely disappointed but honestly I have both and they really are almost identical and for the price honestly if you loved the discontinued scandal by night, and your trying to decide if you can trust the reviews just buy it I promise you won’t regret it

Perfume incrível em tudo o que ele se propõe. Muito similar ao descontinuado Scandal By Night para nao dizer idêntico. Tenho 1 frasco aberto e um de back up, nao vivo sem. Um cereja deliciosa, com mel e fava tonka e um toque floral lindo. Perfeito. Está difícil de encontrar também, acho que também foi descontinuado infelizmente.

This perfume is AMAZING!! It's a 100000000000/10 for me - I would say it's a safe blind buy, a great compliment getter.

Really close to the original , warm fruity and feminine for everyday use

Never tried the og but this is a love for me!

A caveat: I have never smelled the inspiration, Scandal By Night, and this just arrived today. Every Arabian perfume I have ever tried needed at least a few weeks to settle. I did spray Candid Tonight once and liked it provisionally, although it reminded me of one of the Britney Spears fantasy flankers, or possibly Purr or Meow by Katy Perry. It's probably the pear-freesia combination that comes off slightly shampoo or body-spray to me. But it's not fair to judge any perfume on the day of arrival: shipping shop is real! I will say that Candid Tonight is unlikely to disappoint me, insofar as it was ridiculously inexpensive, and the heavy glass bottle itself is rather magnificent, in a vulgar way, and in that respect it seems very on brand for JPG. I also have So Candid, an impression of So Scandal, which is louder and more potentially polarizing because its primary note (at least on my skin) is tuberose. Update: Trying this again, full wearing, I simply could not believe that the notes listed in the pyramid/description above were correct. I do not believe they are. I think the person who input the data must have used a different flanker for the notes. Otherwise, why is there no mention of the very obvious honey, cherry, and tuberose? This is great! I’m not typically a sweet perfume lover but this has a warmth to it that makes it very pretty! I did let it mature for a couple of months and it’s great. Not at all screechy. This is a fragrance that I think would shine in the cooler months but also could be very beautiful on a warm summer night! It lasts a very long time on skin and probably longer on clothes! It’s a fabulous price and the original (which I’ve never had) is discontinued so it’s amazing you can get it for such a great price!

Ok, no exaggeration here but this perfume is screaming HONEY I don't know why they're not listing tuberose in the pyramid because it smells like literal tuberose dipped in sweet honey. I've had it for almost a year maybe and the scent is just getting stronger to the point 1 full spray is too much even for me. Im

my skin doesn't really like dusty scents. The longevity is pretty weak, it seems like it evaporates after two hours already leaving only a weak trail behind even if i tried to use lotions. I love the OG Scandal, it always smelled more like a beeswax than juicy honey (which i would have loved) to me, but in the first spritzes this dupe doesn't even seem to have anything to do with bees at all😭 To my nose it is playdoh and some citrus, not a terrible kind tho - just slightly sour but a pleasant whiff of sweet playdoh and some bit of / fruitiness. The first spray was slightly too sharp for me, and it smelled kinda sour at first, like a sour green tea or bergamot. The drydown however was more of that playdoh smell but more sweet and soft, which i liked way better. I tried it both on various skin areas, hair and clothes, but the outcome seems to be the same. It appears not so strong as a scent and more on a softer side of scent profile, so i am not sure random people on the street will even notice me wearing it. But perhaps if you're standing close to someone then you can. I wouldn't say it is a scent for winter tho, it doesn't really "warms you up", Candid Tonight is more of a daytime spring scent, late summer evening if you must. Now, if i had to find something real positive about this dupe - i would say that the drydown is quite more pleasant than first spritzes. When dried fully, Candid Tonight turns into a nice and almost a sweet skin scent, still a bit of playdoh but if you imagine honey while sniffing you can actually smell beeswax and a bit of honey lol. I wish they made it feel more like actually honey instead of artificial sweetness. I heard people say it should mature a bit first, dunno if that is true but I am definitely going to update this comment after some time of using this perfume!🙂↕️

Scandal by Night was my signature scent, but it got discontinued. I started looking for it everywhere since SBN left a void in my soul, but I had no luck. Then, I saw a review that led me to Candid Tonight. I must say, it does smell like SBN but this one lacks complexity. While silage is powerful, longevity is rather weak (2 hours max) and SBN lasts for hours on me, possibly more than 6. You can get all the opening notes from the og, but, unfortunately, it does not evolve. SBN dries down beautifully into a sexy warm vanilla – which is something that does not happen with Candid Tonight. You only have your honey, your tuberose, and your cherry until it disappears. Overall, I’m satisfied with this fragrance because now it’s the only way I can somewhat go back to my now gone signature scent with a great price. It’s not the full SBN experience, but it’s as close as it gets. If you want to smell SBN again, get Candid Tonight.

Straight out of the bottle it's just ok. I am catching hints of something fresh, might be pear, but there is an underlying note in it that I don't love. It might be the sandalwood or the praline, not sure. There are times when I catch a whiff and really enjoy it so maybe after it settles in for an hour or so I'll love it? Will report back if that becomes the case...it's growing on me.

A blind buy fail for me. This baby is stroooong. It was a bit too much for me, so I sold my bottle. Try before you buy.

Very disappointed in this, as it smells nothing like Scandal by Night. There's none of the cherry cola and honey in this. Instead it's just a harsh blast of something akin to synthetic white florals - To the point where I consider Candid unwearable. I had more luck with the dupe from Divain, which could pass as a lighter, fresher flanker of the original.

I don't know yet if I like it or not, I will have to come back after I let it sit for a while. Having never smelled Scandal By Night, I cannot compare. So I cannot tell if the extremely bitter opening is something meant to be there, as part of the formula, if it will go away with time, or if it's something specific to Maison Alhambra, since I have encountered it before in their fragrances. Once that dissipates (and it takes a while) I am unsure of what I am smelling. I can't recognize any notes and my brain cannot decide between "good" and "not so good". I really, really hope it will improve. I already have 3 Scandals that I love and, since By Night, the one that looked the most up my alley, was discontinued, I hoped I could at least find a worthy dupe.

Ok so i just recieved my bottle today...and....my first impressions was...ooohhh i like this...(after spraying this on my clothes)...then a lil later...im like...ooookkkk this smell's very much like the good ol JOVAN BLACK MUSK that iv had since 2018!!! I mean...it is nice...and i know guy's love this smell...mabe i will try it on my skin to see if it smell's any better..and also give it time to sit in the bottle a bit too...i too havnt smelt the OG of Scandal By Night...i feel like this is the older elegant twin of Jovan Black Must lol very nice tho! 🥰

Stupidly good for its price, smells 90% like the original, huge projection but doesn't lasts so long on skin (although it performs pretty well on clothes). For the price it is a no brainer.

Smells just like ”JPG So Scandal by Night”, no differences AT ALL! It lasts on the skin.

This is a great dupe, but much better after aging 😉
