Exclusif Tabac

I love it, better to me than Charuto Mysterious Tobacco, because it has more sweeteness and tobacco isn't harsh like Charuto. Very similar, the difference is small, but i would pick ET 9 out of 10 times over Charuto. But it's discontinued and hard to get and if you can it costs fortune, so i came to mention something else. Qasr al Oud Mirage by Mamlakat al Oud (supposedly another Lattafa's subbrand). Pretty much no info about this frag on the internet. I only found one random comment on reddit saying they basically repackaged ET and sold it under this frag, so i followed this comment blindly. I ordered it from some bplatz.de site which seemed sketchy but it had good reviews so i risked it. I paid 25euro, 28.75 with shipment from Germany to Poland (!) and at that price the value is great. I have all three, Qasr, Exclusif Tabac and Paris Corner's Charuto Mysterious Tobacco. They're all pretty much the same but Qasr is much nicer to smell than Charuto. That one has somewhat harsh tobacco while Qasr is sweeter, Tobacco is milder, which made me want to sniff it again and again. Pretty much like Exclusif Tabac from my memory. That one also has more sweeteness and milder tobacco and wanted to sniff it constantly while Charuto gave me second thoughts before sniffing (but it haven't mattured yet so keep that in mind). So it seems indeed like Qasr al Oud Mirage is pretty much Exclusif Tabac, but I'll come back one day testing all at the same time to be sure. Also to comment on parameters on all three. It's crazy how little info there is about it given how hyped Exclusif Tabac is, but i guess that's because it's hard to get. First time i had to look for some sketchy German site because i couldn't find specific frag in Poland. By all means i recommend Qasr if you feel sorry Exclusif Tabac is discontinued. 1st edit: I'm testing all three on skin at the same time. Qasr is sweeter than Exclusif Tabac, and Charuto is a bit more harsh tobacco upfront and less sweet than ET. Also Qasr seems to be stronger than ET and Charuto MT. So ET is somewhere in between both. I would say: Qasr al Oud Mirage - 5-10% diff, more sweet than ET) Eclusif Tabac - well balanced sweetness/tobacco Charuto MT - 15% diff, more tobacco Somehow i feel the ET is most balanced and i like it most despite initially saying from memory they're exact with qasr. But i like Qasr pretty much just as ET, despite being noticeable sweeter. I choose both over Charuto if I can. I guess diff towards sweetenes is easier to digest than towards harshness of tobacco. But again, if you have no choice and can get only Charuto MT in your area, you'll be just as happy overall. (my Qasr bottle is one day after opening, couple months from production. Charuto is 2-3 weeks after opening, over a year from production. ET i bought used on vinted,and i think produced 3-4 years ago, safe to say it's most matured)

I've just added this gem to my tobacco collection. I already have Mancera Red Tobacco, Red Tobacco Intense, MA Tabac, Charuto Tobacco Vanille, Qurashi Dominican Tobacco, Aromatix Royal Taboo, MA Hercules, Lattafa Mashrabya and Gulf Orchid Sweet Heaven Tobacco. I love them all for their own nuances and to my nose this is most similar in the opening to the Mancera's: not as nuclear as RT and not as smooth as RTI but strong and projecting well in the first couple of hours. It's a linear drydown but not an issue for me as I love that opening all the way, it just doesn't project massively after 2-3 hours so I decant. I've only worn it out twice and had 3 compliments from guys but I've been in mainly male environments so that'll no doubt change. I haven't checked out CHMT so can't compare but I loved this scent so much I went out and bought another 3 bottles. The presentation is great, a solid 1920's Art Deco style faceted bottle. It may even develop in time on the shelf so it's a winner. It's a fantastic effort and one of my favourites in my collection. EDIT 29th April 2025: It's a great tobacco fragrance and although over the last month or so after discussion with people that like tobacco fragrances that find it a bit rough, for me it is a very easy reach in my selection and I haven't changed my opinion about it, I still love it regardless of the others, I like them all too, it just depends on the mood I'm in to wear it. Incoming this week are Reyane Tradition Insurrection II Wild and Amouage Royal Tobacco. From their price points, they are at completely different ends of the scale ($20 for the Reyane to $400 for Amouage) but I always take scents at their value to my nose, and I can't wait to get them open and see if they're as good as I think they'll be.

This is a slightly lighter version of Afnan's Tobacco Rush... No need in having both. Just FYI for those trying to compare and decide on which one to get. TR is more pungent and stronger. This is a bit more smooth. 2 days later 5/24/2025: Wanted to make an update after wearing this for consecutive days at work (in an office setting, not outdoors) and also wearing both the Afnan and MA. Afnan is indeed more pungent tobacco, but it's semi sweet underneath. Lasts until the shower. That tobacco is has a ton of depth starting out similar to snuff tobacco still in the can then drying down to dry tobacco of a cigar. MA actually seems to be between Tobacco Touch (which I also have) and Afnan Tobacco Rush. The tobacco starts off smelling similar to the tobacco in the Afnan, but it drys toward that piped tobacco in TT but not as clove heavy. It's an amazing tobacco! There's more sweetness in Exclusif Tabac than the Afnan. The longevity is 8 plus hours with a brand new bottle, so I'm very impressed with that and looking forward to this maturing. In the air, it smelled like I was in a tobacco shop with nothing but piped tobacco with their packages opened and smelled better as the day went on. Now, is it redundant to have both? For one that has a lot of fragrances, yes. But if you're a tobacco nerd, I do recommend at least sampling, if that's an option. This fragrance has been a treat. Big lover of tobacco in general, although I typically stay away from cigarette type of tobacco...just not my thing, but any other type is in play. Will return in about a month to update the maturation. Initial Impressions: Scent: 8.5 Projection: 9 Sillage: 8.5 Longevity: 10 Price: 10 Overall: 9.2

All I can say is wow! When I first bought this a year ago, I thought it was a pale comparison to the OG it cloned. I liked it but it was very synthetic, potent, and actually gave me headache. It was very tobacco spicy heavy that was quite linear. I didn't wear it much after that and figured I'd give it a bit of time to develop. So, a year later, I'm going through my collection and think 'what haven't I worn in a long time?' I reach for Exclusif Tabac, give two sprays on my left arm, and I'm instantly hit with a much smoother tobacco than before, so I spray a my right arm. This scent now is higher quality and more rich than before, so smooth with high emphasis on sweet tobacco, cola, and a touch of patouli and ginger, dare I say, that I couldn't pick up before. It performs and projects so well that you must be mindful of others around you and small spaces. Not that it will push them away or choke them out because it's so smooth and enjoyable. This fragrance comes across as confident, commanding, mature, and extremely masculine. Although a woman wearing this would gain some points as commanding and taking charge. Definitely for cooler months and nighttime. Great for weddings, formal work dinners, Christmas and New Year's parties, and especially black tie events where you want to exude confidence. Not for those younger than 25 or even 30 years old. What a difference 12 months makes. I'm really enjoying this scent 10/10

Similar to Red Tobacco (which I am a fan of), without the overpowering (to some) opening. Sort of inbetween the original Red Tobacco and its intense flanker, without the leather. I have no experience of CH Mystery Tobacco, so I can't comment on that one. A very smooth and addictive scent that punches well above it's price bracket. Very good longevity and projection. All in all, a love from me. Comparing Exclusif Tabac and Red Tobacco side by side: Red Tobacco's opening is more powerful - overbearing to some (but fine for me, in fact, I enjoy it). After a few minutes, they're 90% similar. After 30mins though, the warmth and sweetness of Red Tobacco comes through. Exclusif Tabac is a linear fragrance, it barely changes. Red Tobacco is more complex; it develops over time and the drydown is incredible. Red Tobacco also lasts at least a few hours longer. If you can pick up Red Tobacco for around twice the money of Exclusif Tabac, get it, it's worth it. If you can't find Red Tobacco at a decent price at discount sites, or you're on a strict budget, Exclusif Tabac is still brilliant. It's just that Red Tobacco (for those who like the DNA) is just a little bit better in my humble opinion. This is still an outstanding: 9.25/10 Edit: after some time maturing, this is even closer to Red Tobacco performance. 9.5/10, an absolute banger for the price.
