Glacier Pour Homme

Fantastic alternative to JPG Le Male original. Same minty lavender freshness with that nice vanilla undertone. Fresh, slightly sweet, but entirely masculine. As an EDP, I would argue that performance is better than newer batches of the original, while staying very true to the scent, which to me justifies this purchase despite the fairly low price tag of the original. Fragrantica claims this to be a fairly all year fragrance, but I'm unsure how much I would recommend wearing this in the warmer weather. The barber shop freshness could work if not too warm, but the added sweetness may make it too much to really be successful in the summer heat. That being said, fantastic for any of the cooler weather seasons, or cooler indoor environments. Great date night scent, great for the office if you spray wisely and prefer a more unique profile than other office friendly freshies, and great for casual or maybe even formal nights out. Dry down is pleasant and vanillic while still maintaining some of that lavender note. Highly recommend if you enjoy the more "old school" scent profiles. I would not call this modern by any means, but if you're younger and confident you may be able to pull this off as something not so common. Personal tip: Layering this on top of either Le Male Elixir or The Kingdom by Lattafa is a fantastic way to add long lasting freshness to the more warm vanilla dry down of these two fragrances. Definitely adds to the projection, so be prepared to be noticed if you layer them, and be mindful of other people. Or don't. Up to you.

Maison Alhambra - Glacier Pour Homme (GPH) needed 2 months of aging to become something I could muster, even after 3-4 months of aging it felt better and better. One day I mistook Maison Alhambra - Glacier Ultra (GU) for GPH. The bottles are similar, but it was not the one I wanted. So I layered Glacier Pour Homme over Glacier Ultra. wOw.! Even 24 hours later I am amazed by this combination. GPH lasts for 8-10 hours on my skin with two sprays. GU only lasts for 2-4 hours on my skin with two sprays. Together they last all day (four sprays in total), and it still smells really good the day after. Both are Vanilla type scents, very pleasant High-End Bakery scents, like going to a Bakery that just took some Vanilla Bakery out of the oven. Best for cooler/colder days, from September to April (max 13°c/55°f) IMHO. If you like, or love, Vanilla Bakery type of scent, I can vouch for GPH as a very good, and cheap alternative, or a combination of GPH and GU that is IMO much better. GPH is similar to the old JPG Le Male. I am not a big fan of any JPG, I prefer Maison Alhambra GPH to any Vanilla type JPG. I would like to promote the real thing, but this time I prefer GPH. If you want something exclusive, I prefer Luna Rossa Sport which is more mature, more classy and more natural (concentrate from real and natural ingredients).

My dad owns a bottle of the original JPG Le Male so we were able to compare the two side-by-side. Glacier Pour Homme comes dangerously close to the original with only a slightly different opening (spicier to my nose) setting it apart from the real deal. Performance is solid, though I did let it sit for a week (as I do for most fragrances I buy). I get about 6-8 hours of lasting power and about 2-3 of projection for 5 sprays give or take. I love this stuff so much. It's soapy and clean, making it very easy to wear any time of day/year. I've smelled other fragrances that are supposed to be similar in scent profile to Le Male (and this one by extension) such as Guilty by Gucci and Reflection by Amouage, and I can say that this is definitely my favorite of the bunch.

#735 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is an EDP strength version of JPG Le Male. The absence of artemisia does give it a microscopically less floral character than Le Male which I think is a good thing, but not enough of a difference that you would bother to own both scents. I'd stick with the lower-priced Glacier. It has better longevity and projection than the JPG original. At the price you cannot go wrong with this Alhambra dupe.

95% similair to the Real JPG le male. this one smells a little bit fresher and cleaner. The longevity is about the same as the real le male, but i found this one projects stronger. Get this if dont got the money for the real le male

This about 90% similar. It’s so close, and the bottle is far less embarrassing to have sitting on your counter. Worth the purchase, and it performs better than Le Male.

Great performance and evolves as you go about your day, yes the opening isn't very pleasing, but after about 15min or so it settles into something very nice.

This is so good Performance is annoyingly strong..

Off atomizer, Glacier smells identical to Le Male. But on skin, it smells fairly different. Upon dry down is where it gets the closest, but it's not a 1:1 replica. This has a bit of a bubble gum-like sweetness, reminiscent of Invictus. It's a bit heavier on the mint and orange blossom—in comparison to the OG—with the vanilla (powder) and lavender (soap) scaled back. Continuing, I think they reduced the lavender too much... As for performance, the projection and sillage are severely lacking. You will get a "personal scent bubble", that radiates around a foot, for the first hour or so. After that, it's a "skin scent". On body, it has 7 hours of longevity— indoors with the AC on. On clothes, it'll last much longer, though I have no exact number to give. I implore you to give this a few sprays and let it sit for a short while. The alcohol blast in the beginning may never go away, but maturation will cause it to go from being 65% to 80% in closeness. All in all, I'm not overly impressed, but I am happy with it and think it's a good value for $25.

Great scent on its own and great “twist” and interpretation on the Le Male DNA. I say this is a twist on the Le Male DNA as it takes away the harshness of the mint and the sweetness of the vanilla and takes the Le Male DNA is a more fresh/powdery/aromatic direction. I prefer this easily over the OG as Le Male was a beautiful smell but sometimes it smelled like toothpaste because of that mint. On its own I’d describe this smell as fresh,powdery,clean and aromatic and has some of the old school 90s fresh/sweetness but with more of a modern freshness ! Because of the freshness it makes for a great signature scent that can be worn year round(even in the summer) This could have easily passed for a Le Male “Eau Fraiche” Performance on this is excellent (as with all the Maison Alhambra’s on my skin) and has decent projection but not overpowering for 2 hours and is a nice scent bubble for 12+ hours. The staying power on this is insane !! Overall rating -7.5 out of 10 ! A more modern fresh Le Male at a cheap price with great performance

I smelled Le Male in the mall and I could tell it's something of an acquired taste. I like the DNA but there are also certain notes in there that are repulsive for me. If that's the same case as you and you want to buy Le Male but don't feel heavily invested to pay for the real deal, Glacier gets as close as it gets. I do notice I get easily noseblind from this, as I thought it performs poorly but when I made my dad wear this, it still projects 8 hours later

Interesting offering by Maison Alhambra. Very similar to my Cuba Gold, but more complex. After a couple of hours, I'm getting a lot of lavender,mint, and vanilla. It's nice and sits close to the skin. But there's something funky going on. Maybe it's the mint? A bit too harsh. Don't get me wrong, I like this. Just a bit unusual in the way it all comes together.

Smells good, very much lavender forward. It last for a very long time but does not project very much. It's a nice clean ,semi floral, vanilla scent. I would recommend it for the price. Scent 7/10 Longevity 7/10 Projection 3/10 Price 10/10 I really like this one but just wish ot would project more.

Sweet, masculine, and has stood the test of time—it’s still a great scent. It hangs onto clothes for a while; I can still smell it on my shirt after I wake up. However, on skin, it lasts about 2–3 hours before you’d want to reapply.

Y'all. I felt my eyes roll back into my head in delight when I first smelled this. It's divine!!!

3-4 month update: this did get better after approximately three months, but it’s still the worst of the 3 JPG dupes that I own. It smells too sweet and noticeably cheaper than the others do. If you’re on an extreme budget and can find this for like $8-$12, AND don’t mind waiting a month or more to let it settle I guess you could pick this up. However, I would just skip it, and pick up 9 PM instead because it’s 100x better. This isn’t terrible low though, it’s just “okay.” OG Review: Just got this in and wow, this is my first true hate/regret. This smells AWFUL. My bottle was made 10/2023 for reference. It smells like Afnan’s 9pm or Armaf’s Spectra, but if you dropped it into a men’s urinal, it got pissed on, and mixed in with a cheap urinal cake and then you rebottled it. It’s just a horrifically worse version of 9pm. Chemically smelling with a mild urine hit. I also even get like a cheap cherry undertone. It’s a cheap disgusting odor all-around though, whatever it is. I’m going to let it sit for 2 weeks and then 2 months and check back on it. I will update if it improved at all, but my best advice for now is to completely avoid this bad Lataffa/Maison Alhambra. Get either Armaf’s excellent Spectra or Afnan’s 9pm. Both are 1000x better versions of this scent profile. UPDATING: just under 2 weeks since the first spray... it’s still bad. It might even be worse now as it seems more potent. Extremely headache inducing, something is way off with this. It’s sickeningly pungent & sweet in some nasty cheap way. I don’t know why it’s this bad. Like, all the notes are present, but they all smell cheap and fetid. I’ll only update again if it improves. For now, maybe I can just spray it onto an old Little Tree car air fresher and chuck that somewhere? ..even then, it’s too gross. Maybe I got a bad bottle, but this is the worst the Le Male clone I’ve ever experienced. 9pm is awesome, Spectra is great... this is trash. Probably will check on it again in a month and then just toss it.

It smells identical to Le male but with weak projection and weak longevity . I won’t buy it again and I don’t recommend weak performance fragrances so I don’t recommend this one.

The opening is funky! Similar to Cuba Gold. No inspo of Le Male I've tried has thr smoothness of the og. It's easy to grt wrong, but thr dry down is much better.

Opening is a bit rough. It may be cumin not caraway in the mix as I got a bit of armpit after 10 minutes on the first few out the bottle. Day two and it wasnt noticed. 20-30 minutes in it starts to resemble Le Male and is almost identical to it from then on. The mint is a bit toothpastey/spearmint candies but it is in OG too apparently. Excellent quality for the price tag! Not an exact copy but not far off for something so cheap. 8/10

I bought this about two months ago, i got a 2023 batch, loved it so much that i got a back up bottle too. I love the original, that one is a bot more rounded and clean, but this juice is not weak. It’s a nice minty lavender freshie. Great job i must say. Worth a purchase.

Not bad, but also not very good. It’ll probably make an ok gym fragrance, but not something I’d wear out or to work because it just won’t last.

Bang on jpg, bought this before the original but actually, having bought the og now , this is bang on ...

this is basically le male but less spicy and more sweet 9/10
