Glossy

I absolutely LOVE this!! I had only used it a handful of times and bought a back up bottle. It reminds me kind of, of Paris Hilton Gold Rush+Burberry Her. I wore this with Maison Alhambra Infini Elixir and went out into 104°f weather, where I stood for half an hour before joining my party. Immediately, upon meeting my group, I was greeted with profuse compliments on how goooood I smelled. I dont know what it was about this combination, whether its my personal body chemistry or what that made this work so well for me but this is now one of my favorite combinations and its in heavy rotation. This smelled so delicious in the middle of the hottest desert summer I have experienced in 20 years. This frag can be found for a really decently affordable price. I cant emphasize this enough though: MACERATE MACERATE MACERATE. Once you do that, this glorious fragrance just blooms. And the longevity improves greatly too! Mmm. I smell yummy and edible and like a sweet snack, according to someone who the most frag sensitive, picky person I know and typically dislikes most everything I wear. But this combo is a home run!!

To me it smells like the strawberry scented cleaner I use when I do nails. It smells medicinal too. Like, a pink surgical room. Also a bit like powdered gloves. It's such an interesting DNA that I don't think I've ever smelled in a perfume before, it's quite unique. After a couple hours of wear, it loses a lot of that strawberry scent and instead turns into a more spicy oriental musky-woody fragrance. can make some people sneeze. Be warned. And the pink pepper in this is not messing around. But yeah, expect a bit of a rubbing alcohol scent when buying this. It legit gets stuck in my throat when I smell it. It also lasts a long time! The projection is quite good as well. Update: I'm really starting to like this a year later. It's sooo good 😩

Spicy pear and patchouli, loved it straight from the box. Not at all what I'd usually go for but it's pulling me in and overwhelms me in a surprisingly addictive way. I saw some awful reviews and I was disgusted of how people react to scents just because it's not what they expected. Pretty immature and ridiculous. This perfume is different to anything I've smelled or used before but I'd say it's worth a try. Especially if you like patchouli. I received it today, so there's plenty of room for improvement yet it's been lingering on my skin for over 8 hours now. I advise trying before purchasing if you're not open to new and different than your usual.

Upon receiving, and spraying for the first time, I almost gagged ...I put it away in the darkest corner of my closet ...and.. in one month it's turned into a beauty..truly beauty ...similar to one of the Idole 's flankers ..I'm happy to have it in my collection :)))

I was expecting a dupe for Lancome Idole. Instead, it's very reminiscent of Burberry Her, which is one of my favorites. It was a pleasant surprise

Tested this overnight for review. I had not worn since mid Summer. I purchased in May bc it was supposed to smell like BH. It doesn’t, tested side by side. Glossy is more similar to Rave Now, w/o the creaminess, and less fruits. You get a fruity opening that has a slight bite, but it fades very quickly. I don’t smell pink pepper, the rose is a soft fresh rose, the jasmine isn’t over powering either. Glossy goes quick to the dry down, which is a soft, creamy vanilla, slight freshness, very woody. My wear test was 6 sprays skin only. I am still in an intimate scent bubble 12 hrs later. It is present on my nightgown from rub off, which smells fresh, woody. That is triple performance from May. This is good to reach for running errands, a lunch date, or office setting. It also is good in layering. 8/10

I like this, but it’s not a love. I do feel the exact same way about Burberry Her. Sometimes it feels a little off. The cedar and musk mixed with the fruity floral notes doesn’t jive with my nose sometimes and others, I really enjoy it. I personally find both of them to fall/winter scents. I wear fresher scents as it warms up. I’ve had this for about a year and rarely reach for it. I have to give it a bit more attention and see if it will grow on me. It is a little powdery and I just do not enjoy a powdery accord. However, It’s a great value and has good projection and longevity. I can’t place my finger on what it is about it, but it’s so so to a like for me right now.

Smells like Burberry Her to me. I enjoy this alot. I don't think it smells like Idole, which is supposedly what it's duping. Still nice though.

If Burberry Her and Burberry Her Elixir had a perfectly blended baby, it would be Glossy. It’s got the juicy berry explosion of Burberry Her, the creamy vanilla dreaminess of Her Elixir, and just the right touch of jasmine and sandalwood to keep things luxurious. It’s sweet, fluffy, and lasts forever, like a high-end dessert that somehow never melts. If you love Burberry Her but wish it had a bit more depth (or Her Elixir but want it lighter), this is your perfect in-between. And before anyone asks; no, this has nothing to do with Lancôme Idôle. If you're here thinking it’s going to be some musky, pear-heavy, clean floral situation, think again. Glossy is all about berries, whipped vanilla, and cosy decadence, not shampoo-fresh minimalism. So, if you want to smell like a glamorous dessert and not a bottle of hotel conditioner, you’re in the right place.

I'm a big fan of Maison Alhambra in general ( Athena is one of my favourite perfumes) but I'm not sure what they were going for here. It's definitely not a dupe for Idole. It has an overly synthetic quality that made me feel genuinely sick. I couldn't even gift this bottle it smelt so off putting. I think I may smell one of the aromachemicals differently to what it is intended to smell like.

Please don't blind buy this, it is quite synthetic and smells nothing like Lancome Idole unfortunately. If you are looking for a fruity floral that leans juvenile and don't mind a plastic-like opening, it may be for you, hopefully gets better after sitting a month.

By far the most horrible perfume I own, I thought about giving it to someone but even though fragrance is subjective, I just can't imagine anyone would want to smell like pure rubbing alcohol. I think I'll just throw it away, after all. And before you tell me that Arab scents need to sit - this one has been "sitting" for about a year because I was hoping it would mature and change to something at least a little bit wearable but nope, it's still horrible. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying Maison Alhambra, they have a lot of amazing dupes of famous fragrances but this is not one of them.

Agree with the review below mine wholeheartedly. I bought Glossy because of the supposed resemblance to Idole, but all it was giving me was strawberry hairspray. I just couldn’t get on with it, Glossy ended up being my most disappointing Maison Alhambra. Most others are well worth a try.

This is a spot on replica of ”Khadlaj - Shiyaka” and ”Burberry - Her”. It’s nice but I just dont like that ”woody” note that these perfumes has. From what I heard, this should have been a dupe of ”Idôle by Lancome” but it’s NOTHING close to that one. Buy it if you like ”Burberry -Her” because it performs better than the OG.

I’m very surprised at all the bad reviews; this is great! I’ve never smelled the supposed original, but this smells a lot like Burberry Her but fresher and fruitier. Less powdery. It’s sweet and a little candy like, but not sickening. Not even gourmand. Very feminine and spring to summery. I love it!

So these notes look similar to Burberry her edt ! I wonder if it's supposed to be duping the edt with the pear? I have rave , but I'm tempted to purchase this version!

Glossy has a fresh orange peel note that is best used in spring summer.
