Totally amazed that they finally got around to adding it to the lineup at Fragrantica.

Finally they added this to Fragrantica, I never smelled Layton the OG so this is only based on my experience with the clone, Straight out of the box I didn't like that one at all, let it macerate for 3-4 weeks and it's truly amazing for the price, the DNA is nothing groundbreaking but it's super versatile and mass appealing, this thing lasts easily 5-6 hours with decent projection. If you hated the opening and longevity of this cut don't give it away just give it time to macerate and should be satisfying for the price.

Worst clone of Layton , I bought it twice and it was a waste of money and time , the opening smelled a little bit like Layton but it had a weird watery scent that just ruins the entire fragrance. Wont buy it again and won’t recommend it to anyone. I rate it a -10/10 .

This is not the last word, the battle of the clones continues. 😂 All these Arabic frags need time and patience, some of them even 8 - 12 months. Layton and Layton Exclusif clones. There are two players from Fragrance World in the game - Layton (that's what they called it, I'm not kidding) and Miraj Absolu. From Al Haramain - Detour Noir and Detour Noir Exclusif. Maison Alhambra is Leyden and Zimaya is Royal Paragon. At the top are the most expensive Orientica Royal Bleu, Orientica Premium Xclusif Oud Bleu, Dusk the Woods Collection and elite clone from Alexandria.... which, by the way, are 3-4 times more expensive than their rivals. I had almost all of them... except Xclusif Oud Bleu and Alexandria's clone, but Alexandria is too much money, to buy this instead of Layton. My friend just "macerates" Miraj and Royal Bleu. I know that Orientica is the closest.... of those that cost less than $100, but here you also need a few months of quiet, home "maceration". Nothing comes easy to us, either money on the table... or experiments. I have the original Layton, this is my third bottle but I'm having a lot of fun looking for something to replace it from time to time. Something cheap... It's worth it, in my country PdMs are quite expensive. In good, niche perfumeries they usually cost even 270 - $310. Now there are pre-Christmas discounts, so the price has dropped temporarily to about $210 - $230 in little less trusted perfumeries... and about $240 - $280 in more exclusive ones, where it is worth buying. Of course, I can still order from France or Germany, but with shipping costs it won't be much cheaper. In fact, if we really want to save a lot more money, we should choose between clones from Al Haramain, Maison Alhambra, Fragrance World or Zimaya. It all changes from day to day, after each subsequent day of maturing in the cupboard... so I won't be at all surprised if the old Detour Noir, which is currently so criticized, wins in the end. However, in my opinion, the best ones for now are Fragrance World Layton and Zimaya Royal Paragon, but each of them is good enough to replace our more expensive Layton on ordinary days, without any official meetings and other "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"... 😉

I "blind-bought" MH Leyden as I had never even tried PDM Layton. When Id first sprayed Leyden my brother and I immediately I looked at other bc it smelled a lot like a 20+ year old release from Avon name Mesmerize for men. I never really dug Mesmerize, therefore I wasnt a huge fan of this DNA. With that said, this dna has grown on me a bit, but its still NOT a favorite of mine. I actually went to the mall to try PDM Layton bc I had a hard time believing that a "Niche" fragrance would smell ANYTHING like an Avon perfume, but to my astonishment, it really does! Lmao! This fragrance doesn't last very long (about 4- 5 hours), also, if ya spray it directly on your hand, you'll see that there's barely any oil sheen left behind, so it more like an edt which in part explains the poor longevity. I havent tried any other Layton clones, but I'm sure there are better ones.

No idea what it could be cloning, it's a mystery 😂 If it's anything like their other PDM clones then it'll likely need a bit of time to macerate/mature but then it'll perform however the original does. I might get it coz I tried a sample of Layton earlier this year and liked it. It's a bit too masculine at first but then it gets a bit more unisex.

Why did they just add this now? You can't find it anywhere 😞😭 is Maison Alhambra changing the bottles and that's why they got discontinued???
