Libbra

This one is a perfume that starts fresh with the white florals that turns more woody and lavender heavy on the drydown. It is definitely a feminine fragrance, not a unisex. Still, it is a good one.

One of the best dupes from Maison Alhambra. I give Libbra / Leonie a 10 out of 10. Smells absolutely identical to Libre. Rich, deep, full bodied and Lawd! She lasts forever! With all of these fantastic dupes from Maison Alhambra, I just will not pay full price for the OG. Why? I value my hard earned money. Besides, Arabian perfumes are mostly phthalate free which is a must for me.

I bought this for my girl, and it amazing smell with the smell and performance. Compared with Libre would rank it 7/10. Recommend to buy it if you like the smell of YSL Libre and need some thing on the budget

I am not a floral fragrance gal but I wanted one or two to switch things up and have fun layering, so I grabbed a couple from the Emirati houses. To @Somniar's question, I can't speak to the longevity or projection of Tharwah Gold since I haven't tried it. As to Libbra and its alleged YSL Libre connection, I also have not tried Libre. I can tell you, however, that if you are looking for a good white floral from an Emirati perfume house and not just seeking a clone of Libre (or a clone of anything), I'd ditch both and go with Mazaaji from Lattafa instead. I ordered Libbra in my hunt for a true orange blossom and/or jasmine fragrance and did not get that. Libbra on me is a basic department store white floral. It is loud, cloying, linear, and on the opening definitely smells like synthetic flowers. Now I don't hate it altogether and if that's your thing then there are plenty of "basic bitch" white florals at your disposal. That's just not why I buy Arabian perfumes, and certainly not why I buy niche perfumes. This is anything but niche, which is to say it is not at all complex. No depth. But PLENTY of projection and medium longevity. What I use Libbra for is as a sensory stim, at home, to alter my mood on gray days or blah moments when it's yuck outside. I also wear it to bed, or to freshen up my sheets or my car. Layered with MIRACLELAYER scent molecules of Iso E Super and Ambroxan, Libbra becomes more interesting and gives off airy beach vibes. I also bought Ard Al Zaafran's obscure Turab al Dhahab on the claim that it is coconut, lime and margarita and got straight coconut suntan lotion, so adding that to Libbra with some woods and ambergris makes for a pretty fun scent experience. But I would NEVER go out of the house wearing Libbra by itself. It's just too ordinary on its own. Back to my initial recommendation, I'd go with Mazaaji all day long. It's one of Lattafa's best-blended fragrances if you let it macerate long enough. On first receipt all I got was coconut, but let that thing sit a few months and you have a smooth, creamy white floral on your hands that is so well-blended that the other notes are kind of imperceptible. Not woody exactly. Not musky. But more than just the flowers. Before maceration I also layered that with the Iso E Super and Ambroxan molecules, (and still do sometimes) and got compliments everywhere I went. But I have also grown to love it on its own merit. When you add in the Turab al Rehab or another coconutty fragrance to Libbra, what you end up with is a tolerable floral-forward beachy scent that is inoffensive and fun. When you add it in to Mazaaji, you smell like a warm summer day in the absolute best of ways. Mazaaji doesn't smell basic OR juvenile... while Libbra (no shade to anyone that loves it), well... it kind of does. And mine has been macerating almost a year.

Exact match to YSL's Libre. I wish it actually matched the fragrance notes listed here. If it did, I'd like it better. Would love for the ambergris, cedar, orange, tangerine, and lavender to come through, but unfortunately it's just a linear white floral. That being said I wear this one to bed a lot, to drift off into dreams of garden trellises filled with jasmine and honeysuckle. If you want a photorealistic experience of those flowers, you could do worse. It's not one I wear out and about much, more for sensory upliftment at home when I need to lighten my mood. I don't regret the purchase.

Can anyone who’s tried both Libbra and Tharwah gold describe the differences to me? And which one has better longevity, projection and overall which one has better quality or do you think smells nicer? (As in generally speaking. I’ve only tried Tharwah Gold and absolutely loved it - haven’t gotten to try Libre or Libbra yet!) Thanks in advance 😅

I'm sure that many people will not appreciate my opinion and review of this fragrance, but I'm going to give it anyway. I apologize in advance if this review offends anyone, who loves this perfume, as that is not my intention. I am merely giving my honest experience and opinion as I always do. It has been very difficult for me to detect anything but LAVENDER in this fragrance. It's loud, screechy and annoying to my nose. Lavender by it's very nature is touted to be and supposedly even proven to be "calming" This scent is anything but. Instead, it's an overhyped headache inducing mess that boarders on being obnoxious. They really over did it with the strength of the lavender this composition. It's dominant from opening to dry down. I don't understand why the rating is so high on Fragantica. I don't get any fruit or other notes for that matter AT ALL. This may be better off used as a room spray and even then, may be overwhelming for some. I couldn't take a chance spraying this on pulse points, because it gave me a headache from just one spray on the back of my hand. The scent was still strong after 5 hours. I don't agree with people who say this is a "spot on dupe" for YSL's Libre Intense. They do both have the dominant lavender note in common, but IMO that is where the similarities end. There is no screechy vibe in Libre Intense. I do detect a citrus note and some sweetness from the vanilla and tonka in the base of Libre Intense that are nowhere to be found here. I am not claiming to be a professional perfume connoisseur. However, IMO this one is far inferior to the fragrance it is "trying" to clone. I will give this to someone who may want it, (that is if I can find someone that may actually want it). My advice is to save your coin for the real deal or find a better clone. *Side note: I purchased this bottle almost 5 months ago and pumped 10 sprays out of the bottle. It has been in my closet since then. I have checked on it from time to time by pumping two or three sprays out and the lavender note just continues to grow stronger. A perfume's fragrance should invoke emotion, excitement, fond memories, a state of mind, energy, arousal or something....ANYTHING that is positive. TO ME Libbra has the ability to invoke a physical ailment, (such as a headache and/or nausea) which is not the goal that a perfumer has in mind when creating a fragrance (or the consumer when purchasing one). Obviously scent is subjective, but I just don't get this one at all. Maison Alhambra's Libbra is NOT a safe blind buy. Does anyone agree with me? Keep smelling gorgeous everyone! ❤️
