Megara

This is unexpected. I have never been the biggest fan of fresh scents, I have always preferred “darker and heavier” scents - but this is now my go to everyday bottle. The opening is very synthetic, but just wait for it to do its thing. I made the mistake of spraying it a few times on my shirt, which I then wore to work - my colleagues mentioned they could smell me across the room (I wanted to change my shirt immediately). This is not complex, at all, very linear. But what it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in pure performance and longevity. At this price point, this is a must-have.

Another Alhambra summer masterpiece. Just goes to show you what kind of BS maceration is. Straight out of the box this filled my living room and kitchen with 1 spray. Tone down the 'weirdness' factor of Megamare and you get this. Hard to explain but you can see the what the perfumer was trying to capture — the essence of the deep sea, albeit with a slight hint of nail polish remover (acetone). Nonetheless, it leans masculine and is wearable, perfect for even the hottest summers. 2 sparys each side of the neck and you're good for the day, and maybe the next.

A near-perfect molecular clone of Orto Parisi's Megamare. It captures the brutal, abstract marine fantasy with stunning accuracy. The opening is a bergamotto immediately salted and dried by mineral Norlimbanol. The heart is a powerful blend of oceanic geosmin and white musk, given immense body and legendary longevity by a massive dose of Ambroxan. Verdict: The same hypnotic, vast ocean storm in a bottle, but with even more impressive performance and an unbeatable price. For those who want to wear the force of the sea.

I got this one in today, so I'll update later on longevity and sillage. But the initial impression is great! The opening is strange,..not terrible, but definitely a bit off-putting. About 30 minutes later that bad stuff is gone, and all that's left is a a beautifull fragrance that reminds me of a salt-water swimmingpool. Great for Summer and Spring, But I'd also wear it indoors in the cold seasons. Really good stuff. In some ways it reminds me of Kenzo Homme EDP, which is one of my favorites.

i got this one before lattafa atlas came out. this is a great fresh aquatic scent. its longevity and projection is probably the best in all of maison alhambra lineup. its a unique freshie, not smelling like your typical fresh scent. its hard to explain what this is but it reminds me of going to a rocky shore in a sunny afternoon where water splashes on the rocks and the micro droplets of water fly in the air to reach your nose. fantastic addition to anyones collection
