Montaigne Vanille

Other websites list the notes as: Top Notes: Grapefruit, Lemon Heart Notes: Cardamom, Caramel, Rose Base Notes: Creamy Vanilla These are exactly the notes I get from this fragrance—and the dry down is so similar to Gentle Fluidity Gold! On my skin, it’s absolutely beautiful. I clearly pick up the lemon, the caramel, the rose and that luscious creamy vanilla, with just a whisper of cardamom. The resemblance to my GFG is uncanny—am I the only one who thinks so? Either my nose is playing tricks on me, or they genuinely share that gorgeous dry down. In any case, I’m certain they would layer perfectly together. My review is based on testing this after over a month of maturation, and I’ve noticed the opening has much less of that alcohol sharpness. I’m confident it will only get smoother and richer with time. For the price I paid, this is absolutely worth it. Honestly, I think I need a backup bottle!

This is a beautiful lil accident! I was trying to buy the coconut one that the internet was saying was so amazing, (more on that one later on its own page) and purchased this my mistake! And wow when I tell yall it’s the prettiest lemony, vanilla, rose 🌹 it smells just like roses vanille. It projects for 6.5+ hours and lasts 10+ no lie I keep getting compliments at work I showered and dressed 8 hours ago. It’s a banger, I need a back up because this shall be one of those summer fragrances that’s gonna make you smell unbelievable. Just get it it’s usually $20 and it’s so worth it

It is a nice, sweet-sugary rose with vanilla and citrus. Definitely Roses Vanille on a tight budget. Perfect everyday scent, even better as a signature scent. Good longevity on skin and lasts longer on clothes. I'd say let it sit for a few weeks for better performance. It can be worn all year round; however, overspray in the cold and limit your sprays in the heat. Affordability is a welcomed plus.

I actually prefer this over Roses Vanille. The difference that I detect side by side is that in Montaigne Vanille, the rose is stronger and the vanilla is slightly less sugary. If you prefer sugary sweet and less rose, you might not like this one as much. The rose in this reminds me of the rose in initio atomic rose - not as strong and spicy, but that kind of non-sweet Turkish rose.

Imagine adding a teaspoon of grated lemon zest to a cup of rose juice and vanilla. This perfume is linear and bright—almost like a potion of happiness! It’s not the most complex scent, but it’s an easy reach whenever you want to lift your mood. Longevity is around 6 hours, but I expect this to increase after it sits for a while.

This is a vanilla powerhouse! When you first spray there's this earthy woody smell. No lemon, no rose. Then it dries down to earthy vanilla. You could call it vanilla in the forest. I guess a man could wear it. Makes an excellent room spray. It lasts 24 hours. I like it a lot.

This is a lovely, gentle, and evenly balance rose vanilla parfum with a dash of lemon 🍋 that imo keeps it lighter and makes it an easier reach, especially for fragrance sensitive wearers like myself. I wore this today on a damp rainy day while running errands to the groceries and hardware store and would occasionally get pleasant secret gardens whiffs. The dry down still holds onto the rose, vanilla, and lemon but this is where the musk and cedar softly appear on my skin perfectly aligning with the evening unwinding. This is another 💯blind buy that I am counting as a very happy one 🎉😊

Pretty good. No vanilla. No citrus. No cedar. Musk very clean rose. Really lovely. Weak sillage. Poor longevity. Nice for bedtime

I 100% agree with Iraela "A very faint musky rose body mist. It's pleasant, but doesn't last, doesn't project." This was my first Maison Alhambra purchase and I bought it out of curiosity to see how similar it would be to Roses Vanille. The original creation by Mancera has way more vanila and it lasts way longer and projects way better. I would not recommend the Maison Alhambra version because Mancera is not expensive if you buy from discounters and you would not need to re-apply as often as this one. The scent itself is lovely, jammy rose with a citrusy-fresh hint that I did not detect on the original. 6/10

** This is a rose perfume. I was secretly hoping for a more floral gourmand, haha. Turkish rose is a brighter citrussy rose (not the rose shaped soaps from the 90s). The vanilla and sweetness is there but they kind of fight against the rose. I'm not detecting cedar which would have made this more stable. I've not smelled the OG but I'm going to give this some time to see if it mellows and blends or is more appealing in the spring.

#770 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Okay vanilla scent for the ladies. Not remotely unisex. Mediocre attempt to clone Mancera's "Coco Vanille." I thought it was a miss as a clone. The woman I gave it too liked it okay, but didn't love it.

I waited more than a month for this perfume to sit and change, but it's the same. A very faint musky rose body mist. It's pleasant, but doesn't last, doesn't project.

I blind bought this out of curiosity for a low price for my wife thinking we both love vanilla and it would smell nice on her. I'm sorry to say but no. This is one of those " old lady" perfumes that just kills you at the store while you're standing in line to pay for your groceries and you think to yourself " why would you bathe in this let alone wear it?" I'm sorry but it smells like something cheap and strong you'd find at a thrift shop or something. Why do old ladies all smell like this? In conclusion: I can't smell any vanilla only rose and flowers. If you like the old lady smell this is for you. It's strong and annoying. This seems to be very popular amongst middle Eastern old ladies and " babushkas" from eastern Europe for some reason. No thanks .

The drydown leans very masculine, to me. It has cedar in the base notes, and I think that's what really comes through.

I'm in love with Montaigne Coco so I had such high expectations for this fragrance. They were not close to being met. Why call the fragrance Montaigne Vanille when it's a rose fragrance with no detectable vanilla (to my nose anyway). For me, this is heavy, cloying and simply horrible. I can't detect any cedar or white musk. Rather I get a whiff of harsh spice, which takes the blend even further from the supposed vanilla aroma. It smells cheap, vile and like it's trying too hard. Not a fan. This has really put me off Maison Alhambra. I'll keep my MA collection at just one item, Montaigne Coco.

I hate this. It’s veryyyyy rose heavy despite the name “vanille”. I don’t get any vanilla AT ALL. Just an overbearing rose with strong musk. It lasts long and the scent lingers for hours in a closed room. Wish I got this projection, longevity and silage from other vanilla perfumes

Montaigne Vanille has a lovely, vanilla-rose sweetness, giving it a distinctly feminine vibe. It's very similar to Teef Al-Hub by Ard Al-Zaafaran but with a less creamy, rounded scent. Like Teef Al-Hub, it’s considered a dupe for Mancera's Roses Vanille. I think this might become my signature fragrance after Teef Al-Hub. I’m hoping that letting it macerate for one to two months will bring out a deeper, more rounded aroma. Update: I have to part with this, as it’s become quite nauseating and makes my stomach turn.

This fragrance is absolutely beautiful. I get the similar fragrance dna of roses vanille and intense cafe. It's very similar, and the rose in this is not too heavy. I also get how this could be similar to MFK's gentle fluidity gold, because the dry down is almost identical and it is a fragrance I adore. Both Montaigne Vanille and Montaigne Coco are such wonderful fragrances, and they are probably the best middle eastern fragrances and the least expensive I have purchased, and I've bought and tested many of them.

I recently purchased Montaigne Vanille, and I am not disappointed. I have never smelled Mancera Roses Vanille, so I can't speak on the likeness of the two. I get a sugary sweet rose that is slightly smokey to my nose. My bottle is already well blended.... hopefully to only get better as it sits. I loved it at first sniff. I've seen mixed reviews on this fragrance, but I have to go with my nose😊. Will definitely purchase again.

I like this a lot, wasn't expecting much. Since I've been trying out lots of different vanillas and all I have gotten is deception... but this is nice, not the best but a nice fruity vanilla, I don't really smell the rose. Maybe it will shine through later and I'll edit this post.
