Narcotic Flower

This just came in and I already love it!! This happens to be my kind of fragrance! I find orange blossom to be the best note ever! It is so fresh with the light citrus and lychee! I gravitate towards this type of scent, so I have a lot of fragrances like this in my collection so I find it similar to many of those! So, it’s not overly unique but very pretty all the same! I will be wearing this a lot!! I love Maison Alhambra scents due to the fact that they mostly have fabulous longevity and protection! I would definitely recommend this and also consider it blind buy worthy if you like fresh fruity florals! Edit- after my review, I looked at the “reminds me of” section. I saw Pleasures mentioned. I thought “no way!”. Pleasures is number one on my list of least favorite fragrances! I knew someone that wore this and oversprayed it to the maximum making it a nauseating and suffocating experience. Therefore, the slightest sniff of it brings back that negative reaction by me. Well, in the dry down, that Pleasures scent does in fact come out! Now, I can’t unsmell that! I loved this from the opening, but the dry down makes this an absolute no for me! I thought I’d add that. If you’re not sensitive to that, or enjoy pleasures, you will like this. Unfortunately, for me, that fragrance is ruined, and therefore, this one is also.

Flower addiction is the new name for Narcotic Flower Maison Alhambra in their 2024 release. The bottle I bought is PD. 02/2024. This is inspired by Fleur Narcotique Ex Nihilo. On first sprays, the lychee, peach fruitiness and notes is the main highlight, pronouncing themselves loudly before settling down a few minutes later, short lived but I wish it lasted longer. The opening and flora heart notes makes this a nice soothing scent I'll say, definitely more feminine but a guy can wear this, no problem. I have nosed Fleur Narcotique before and if my memory remains correct, this is pretty darn close to the og. And this has better silage and projection, somewhat louder and more pronounced. It's probably stronger than the og. I'm pretty impressed with this alternative because it's so inexpensive and cheap I'll say as compared to how much the og is and yet off the skin or clothes, most would not be able to tell them apart. For a fragrance with lychee and peach and floras, I prefer this to other popular fragrances that are lychee dominant, especially the PdM ones. This is more wearable daily and anytime, you won't feel the pinch overspraying it and can indulge yourself in more sprays given the economical price tag. One of the better ones from Maison Alhambra and I have many from them to say so.

I will start with a question. Why choose " narcotic" as a word to describe the types of flower in this fragrance? Don't get me wrong, this is a stunning fragrance. It's crisp, airy, fresh, elegant and uplifting, but certainly not Narcotic. Narcotic in a fragrance to me evoques something round, dark, misterious, dense and deep maybe, and that's completely opposite to what this fragrance offers you in terms of olfactory experience. I obviously did some research before buying the fragrance and I was aware of the vibe of it. I'm not disappointed at all, I'm just curious about the name of the fragrance that is totally misleading. That being said, I absolutelly love this perfume. I was caraving a beautiful and elegant white floral fragrance and this had thoroughly scratched that itch. Could be a wedding scent IMO. Anyone getting something reminescent of BR540 here? I'm not a huge fan of that fragrance since it comes through somewhat medicinal to me. But Narcotic Flower ( or Flower Addiction as it's now called) must share some ingredient with BR540 in the best way of course since I like NF and I don't love BR540. maybe it's just me. It also reminds me of delina, sure enough due to the litchi note. I've never smelt valaya so I cannot speak about the similarity to that fragrance.

Ok so let me start off by saying I love this fragrance! I did get it thinking it was going to be a valaya inspo for the most part and it’s not what I got. I have both valaya and mystique bouquet and I wouldn’t say it smells like them. I have never smelled Fleur narcotique so I can’t speak on that, but as for the others I pick up a little of that same clean musky almost laundry scent with those citrus notes, but the scent as whole smells blended completely different. This one is much more creamy which could be the orange blossom kinda almost leaning a tad bit marshmallow maybe, and something about this has this soft sugary rose effect to it. I do get the citrus and the peach but I would say this one is much more scentual and warm as to where the others are more bright and juicy. Everyone’s ph is different so take what I say with an open mind, but I really do think if you want valaya then stick with mystique bouquet. Both are beautiful but they feel like two different moods if that makes sense.

This is now called Flower Addiction, at least in some countries (presumably to avoid getting sued for trademark violations by Ex Nihilio, the brand behind Fleur Narcotique.) Though most compare this to Fleur Narcotique, I’ve never smelled FN and bought this because I heard it was a cousin to Ormonde Jayne’s Levant. For those who’ve never smelled either, this is slightly sweet, bright, fruity, floral. Quite pretty and feminine with the combination of peach, lychee, bergamot, peony and orange blossom. Each note is present and distinct yet harmonizes so well together. I wear this when i want to feel feminine and girly. Or when I want something I can spray with abandon and know it will stick around. This is one of my best fragrances for sillage and longevity, absolutely outperforming perfumes I own at much higher price points - it has remained present for more than 12 hours on me. This perfume is an incredible bargain for fragrance of this high quality.

This literally just arrived and I took it out of the box. I sadly got the new bottle after they had to change the name to Flower Addiction (so stupid)... but OMG!!!! The very 1st spray I was shocked! I'm not generally a floral fan but trying to be... THIS is it, this is mine! This is almost one to gatekeep its so good! I audibly said "WOW, this is insane" and that was just spraying in the air! I don't usually spray on skin at 1st because a lot of my blind buys are scrubbers but I knew this was going to be amazing! My skin chemistry did change it a bit and made it more dark/dense whereas in air/on paper its fresh and nothing like I've ever smelled before. It IS addicting! I wish it smelled the same on my skin because I'm getting something a little animalic as it keeps drying down (I think it's he moss) but it's not in a bad way. I'm just thinking that if this one is this good at this price, how much better are what it's supposed to be duping???

Reposting my review for Ex Nihilo's Fleur Narcotique here: Ultra feminine Quentin Bisch signature litchi and florals. Just a beautiful bright fresh fruity floral that smells clean and luxurious. My husband loves this on me and I feel like it’s a perfect signature scent. However, with the recent price increase to £180 for 50ml and its moderate performance, I can’t bring myself to use it as an everyday scent so I decided to listen to the reviewer below and purchase Narcotic Flower from Maison Alhambra. I was a bit sceptical at first but I figured that for £25 for 100ml it would be worth trying and when I say this smells EXACTLY the same I really mean it!! I even did a blind trial on my husband where I sprayed the original on one wrist and Narcotic Flower on the other and he very confidently pointed out NF as the original!! Also the sillage and longevity on the dupe is huge. I promise I’m not a shill for Maison Alhambra but I highly recommend!

I think this may be getting up there as one of my favorite fragrances, which is funny because my girlfriend hates it!! She says it smells like cucumbers, which she hates, but I quite enjoy- I imagine she's smelling the green fresh notes added to the florals & moss here, because it really does smell wonderfully fresh. And in my experience, this perfume has been consistently putting up 8 to 10 hour performance and nice sillage with only 3-4 spritzes. For $20 a bottle, it's a steal! I can't say I've smelled the original but I think at this rate the cheapie works just fine for me.

I just received Flower Addiction and personally have and LOVE Fleur Narcotique and consider Ex Nihilo as one of my favorite niche house. Flower Addiction is extremely close as it relates to scent profile to the OG, I was genuinely surprised because typically "inspired by" fragrances typically need to mature to hit their full potential, but even on first spray I was impressed. I'll still let it go through the maturation process. If you own or just like Fleur Narcotique, you will NOT be disappointed.

I’ve owned this fragrance for about seven months, and at first it felt refreshing but too synthetic—the lychee came across as sharp, even piercing alongside the bergamot, while the peony seemed absent. Revisiting it today : it’s genuinely beautiful. What once felt scratchy has now softened, and the blend strikes a wonderful balance. Entirely unisex. I can recommend it without hesitation—just be patient, as it may take time to reveal its best side.

The peach in the opening is way too strong, so initially I was thinking nope, not my cup of tea. After 30-45 min, the loveliest lychee peaks through and transformed the scent completely. Wow, what a beautiful fragrance. Absolutely adore it. Hopefully with macerating, it will balance the peach in the opening. Because honestly, it was making me nauseous. Very cloying and just too much in your face.

Blind buy that turned out to be really nice. Quite a powdery fragrance, light and citrusy, the Lychee stands out and it has a big projection. Lasts hours and hours on skin. It’s very clean smelling and it’s lovely for summer. I have never smelled the original that this dupes so cannot compare. I like layering fragrances and I pair this a lot with simple vanilla fragrances-

Who smells like the most intoxicating, eternal, luminous flowers? Like a nymph, freshly out of the water and walking on a flower field? YOU! It's an amazing perfume, floral but sooo light, airy, but still strong. It's like when you like this one note in floral perfume and then multiply it x10. Love it, sooo girly. Like florals? Like peony? Yeah get this ASAP.

Narcotic Flower is a masterclass in modern floral transparency. Just received it and tried it immediately, mostly because i was not so sure about its new incarnation, Flower Addiction... Blind buy here but this is amazing! Even with no maceration time this is wonderful... 99% same as Ex Nihilo, Fleur Narcotique.... I wear it 3 hours now and it gets stronger... Amazing dry down... 9/10

to my nose, this smells exactly like valaya. i own valaya and have compared, and yes...definitely valaya. however, i have only gotten my nose on fleur narcotique once and from what i recall, fleur narcotique is a lighter and airier version of valaya. so all in all, very similar to whichever this is trying to dupe.

This is my dream fragrance. I haven't smelt the original but I love, love, love this one and will be getting a backup for sure! It's a pretty girl fragrance if ever there were one. Fresh, fruity, clean, and bright. Mine was beautiful straight out of the box. This might just be my new signature scent.

Never smelled Fluer narcotique before but this is a fruity nice floral smelling, projection is good and longevity on me is about 6-7 hours. Cheapie and worth the pricetag!

Back up bottle worthy, this is not citrusy at all, just fresh and airy. Smells angelic, sweet pear and peony equally fruity and floral. I’m in love.
