Sceptre Malachite

Un perfume que en las notas declaradas dice oler a algo, pero en la nariz tiene otra tonalidad... Si eres aficionado a las fragancias como yo, este análisis que hice te podría ser útil, que aunque extenso, preciso. No te diré si vale la pena o no. God of fire es la inspiración para este dupe en cuya base de composición encuentras un mango, un mango jugoso y juguetón, muy jovial. Esto acompañado de maracuya y similar a si tuvieses un batido de frutas tropicales. A mi me huele a mango, pero no realmente a maracuya como dicen en las reseñas. Más bien a la fruta granada, pero específicamente a la membrana blanca entre los granitos de granada por tener esta sensación medio ácidita en lo dulce, con una parte amarga. ¿Por qué pasa esto? Bueno... La salida es vigorizante, fresca dulce y bien redondeada, tal como la fragancia en si. Notas que declara el perfume son: Salida: Mandarina verde, bergamota y grosellas negras. Únicamente noto la mandarina verde en esta sensación de la membrana de la granada que te digo (medio ácida y poquito amarga, redondeado completamente por mango y las grosellas negras, que estas grosellas negras, se sienten un poco maduras, como a pasillo de Liverpool en 2016 o perfume de viejita, no necesariamente algo malo, pero preciso en mi descripción detallada). Notas corazón: Evoluciona poco el perfume a mi consideración y asentándose, encuentras una parte floral blanca del jazmín y olor muy ligero a lavanda, esto apolvado y noble, lo que le da una apariencia “unisex”. Siendo el corazón de la fragancia, viene redondeado por especias, pero muy difuso. Yo diría pimienta (que si se declara y le da una tonalidad ligeramente picante), pero también encuentro canela, clavo de olor y hasta nuez moscada. En el secado se declara ámbar, almizcle, notas amaneradas y vetiver. Yo, lo que encuentro son reminiscencias de la fragancia pero ya apolvadas, cualidad del almizcle. Tienes aún el mango, tienes tu maracuya (o granada para mi), tienes un ámbar muy pronunciado y brillante (no mineral, sino resinoso) y ciertamente una parte amaderada blanca, como a cachemira. A mi no me gustan las fragancias de esta familia olfativa, ni dulces si no hay frío. Sin embargo, esta me parece lo “tropical” en una fragancia. Si fuese a una playa tranquila en verano, usaría este perfume como opción predilecta. Aclaraciones: Análisis hecho apenas me llegó (falta que macere), la encontré en $25 USD, la calidad es muy buena sin tomar en cuenta el precio.

#768 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Another user asked my opinion of Maison Alhambra Malachite as a clone of either Le Gemme Kobraa or Humbert God of Fire, and I had planned to buy Malachite. Got it yesterday and I'm comparing it to sprayettes of Kobraa and God of Fire from FragranceLine. Now on to the controversy with the crowds out there insisting Maison Alhambra's Malachite is a clone of Kobraa and those insisting it's a clone God of Fire. It's closer to God of Fire, but definitely not a clone of either. You can get samples of both from FragrancesLine like I did, compare them to Malachite, which you should absolutely buy, and smell for yourself. The openings of Kobraa and Malachite are close enough I wasn't sure if I was imagining a difference or not. But there's definitely a difference in the openings you will notice but could talk yourself into ignoring. Not so five minutes later. That's when the fruitiness of the Malachite comes out, which is why the "God of Fire" guys are sweating with excitement. But it's citrus and currants, not mangoes and berries. GOF is a touch more beach wear than Malachite. You will hear that song from the James Bond film "Dr. No", "Underneath the Mango Tree" with the GOF. If you like JPG's tropical Le Male scents go for the GOF, not Malachite. One caveat here is that simple formula wood-focused scents like Kobraa will always outlast complex, more fruit-focused scents like God of Fire and Malachite. The molecular nature of fruit scents provides strong initial projection that disappears relatively soon in the evolution of the scent on our skin. The lemon, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, currants, berries, all ephemeral. Woods last all day long. So Kobraa will get through the work day. God of Fire and Malachite barely make it to lunch. I find having to respray midday annoying and often utterly inconvenient if not impossible. It's why I abandoned Colognes and Eau de Toilettes and seldom buy them no matter how much I like them. That said guys, the Malachite is dirt cheap at $23 and close enough to Kobraa and God of Fire that I think fans of either would say Malachite is $23 well spent. So I'm glad I bought a bottle of Malachite and samples of GOF and Kobaa instead of dropping the price of a car payment for full bottles of Kobraa or God of Fire. My recommendation is just get the Malachite and be happy. And I will repeat all this in a separate reviews on the GOF and Kobraa pages.

I'm really impressed by this perfume ! For some context, I bought Vulcan Feu recently and really liked it so I wanted to see if there's other mango scents around there and stumbled across this one. I wasn't expecting much from this, especially knowing it's maison alhambra (cheap, not good quality, etc.) with which I haven't had good experiences with previous fragrances from this brand. But let me tell you, when I first sprayed this in the air, I was blown away by how close it is with vulcan feu (never actually smelled the OG God of Fire). It's really 1:1. You get that fresh, fruity and pleasant mango scent, even tho in the note breakdown there is no mango listed, the combination of all ingredients make it feel like there's some fizzy mango or more like a citrusy mango. Not quite a mature mango but more like a fresh and citrusy light mango. Really nice and smells good quality. I'm also really impressed by how cheap this is, this is like the third of the price of Vulcan Feu (or sooo much cheaper than God of Fire). I had it for 20 bucks, 100ml. The sprayer is also insane pressurized and projects a lot of fragrance into the air. The only inconvenient being the longevity and the projection of the scent. While Vulcan Feu last and projects, this one sticks close to the skin and doesn't blast. But it is so cheap, you can just overspray this bad boy and that would do the job ;)

When I first got my bottle of Sceptre Malachite about 5 months ago, though it was alright, but sorta boring tbh. When I wore it a handfull of time I felt dirty/sticky bc I smelled as though I spilled some Pineapple/Orange, or Mango juice on my shirt or something and NOT much else, just wasn't all that into it, plus Im a grown ass man who's 52 years old, so this felt a bit "Too young" for me. Well fast-Forward these past few months I tried it again, and it smells much more nuanced and interesting after it's had a chance to "Maturate." The Pink Pepper and "Spicey notes" are much more noticable now and actually makes Sceptre Malechite smell like an actual fragrance on my skin vs some sticky, non discript-spilled juice! Im also getting more woods in the dry-down and the combination is just truley MOUTH-WATERING! Its still a younger person's fragrance, but it smells so good now that WHO CARES! LoL! This thing was always Long-Lasting, but now it lasts even longer and stays stronger and more noticable longer than before taking a long time to become a skin-scent. Anyways, this fragrance smells way better after a few months of aging and is an 8 outta 10 imo. Its not a 9 bc this dna is sorta tough for guys my age to pull it off, but man does it get mouthwatering once the spices come out to play! Thanks to whomever took time to read my review!😉

If you’re like me and are extremely sceptical of the incredibly hyped reviews for this fragrance.... I’m happy to say this is great! I was debating buying this thing for so long (eventually got it gifted to me for Christmas today) and I’m glad I took the chance on the blind buy, this is such a beautiful, sweet, fresh fragrance that is perfect for a hot summers day like today. It’s smells like a really smooth mix between mango and passionfruit with an almost woody/leathery background if you smell closer to the skin. Draws the line between perfectly unisex, I could see both men and women pulling this off and recieving a ton of compliments. I don’t like too feminine/sweet fragrances and this was my biggest concern going into buying this blind but it’s a beautiful androgynous scent, perhaps even a little bit male leaning on the dry down. Definitely a safe blind buy as well if you’re into sweet fragrances but it’s not overly sweet as some reviews have mentioned, more like a pleasant sweetness, not synthetic. A great blind buy for me, very happy purchase!! Latttafa/alhambra have always been a bit of a hit or miss for me (Khamrah was absolutely hideous for me) but this really does live up to the hype. A very safe, mass appealing but unique fragrance that will be sure to turn heads :) 🥭🥭🍋🍋

For reference, I've never smelled God Of Fire. But I was looking to follow the hype & wanted my shot at a clone so I was able to get a sample of both Spectre Malachite & Vulcan Fue. Now both are slightly different but to my nose I found them to be so close that if someone was wearing either one I would assume in the air I'd know they were in the same ballpark & probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Having said that, in a weird way I found the Spectre Malachite to actually perform a little better than the sample of Vulcan Fue. It also does have a touch more spice I think which does make it unisex leaning masculine as some have said. Throw in the Spectre Malachite is cheaper & actually in stock & it was a no brainer. Spectre Malachite is an amazing value. As someone who lives in the Midwest I'll only have a few months to wear this anyway so $20 on sale makes me feel like a bandit as this bottle will probably last me 5-10 years. If you're deciding between Spectre Malachite & Vulcan Fue it honestly doesn't matter. They're both way cheaper than God Of Fire & they both smell close to one another. If you switched off between the two every day for a week I doubt anyone would be able to tell you were wearing 2 different fragrances as opposed to just 1.

***Update about 8 months in*** My goodness! This fragrance has gotte. So potent and absolute GORGEOUS! Initially I really didnt care for ut much and couldn't figure out why on earth the (God of Fire) dna was being so hyped. Whenever I wore a couple times, it made me feel like I just spilled orange juice or something on my shirt and NOT much else. But NOW?? Wow! Its so fresh, sweet but not Nauseatingly do, and I can totally get the sweet Pink Pepper, fruits (Mango) and fresh Ozonic accords making it so nice to wear! As a guy who middle aged, I tend not to go for these youthful, unisex fragrance much, but if Im in the mood for a fresh, sweet fruity fragrance that us fellas can pull off, this thing ROVKS and boy does it lasts on skin and nevermind clothes! Itll be there for DAYS! On skin I can spray ut in my arm, go to bed and its still quite present upto 9 hours later. Clone or not, Id have to give this "Clone" a solid 8.5 outta 10 (within its genre) which is an amazing score when it comes to me. This is my first mango fragrance and will probably be my ONLY mango fragrance bc its everything Id want in a fruity/fresh unisex fragrance. Awesome!

This does have similarities to G.O.F but I don’t get the similarities to Kobraa. I do tho get a lot of similarities to Erba Gold. Sceptre has that citrus salad that gives off a Green Melon scent with a fresh spice n woody dry down with that melon still floating in the back ground. Only difference to me with Erba Gold is there is no vanilla. Mason Alhambra (Lattafa) has done it again with another great scent that has hints of other fragrances in the mix. For the price you can not go wrong, yes the longevity is not the best at first but like all Lattafas they just need time to get just as strong as designer or niche scents. My bottle is only a month old so yes it will take time to mature n get stronger. Could not be more happy about my purchase. This will be in my rotation in a month and then in my spring n summer rotation next year as well. Good job Mason Alhambra you got a winner here. Will update in another month after the scent has time to mature to see if any changes has occurred.

i Never Really let a review on Fragrantica, mainly a passenger Reading reviews, Until this perfume made me type. First i saw this one on social media, and thought it is going to be like any hyped Up Perfume. until one day i went to my go to perfume store ,asked him for a bottle to test,which he replayed that he has it no more ,but he still had the Empty bottle, i smelled it, and i was immediately hooked. for some sort of reason after the smell was addicting in a soothing way it took me to Greece sipping tea with marcus aurelius and achilles in a garden, talking about achievement and stoicism. after that i had my hands on a bottle which is hard to come across for some sort of reason. a week later i ordered a new one, for summer maceration. it opens up with mango which isnt in frag Notes,along way with Citrus and musk thats what i get. for Longevity, it is projecting for the first hours .then it drys down to a skin scent.

After purchasing, I let it macerate for three weeks, which I always recommend with budget-friendly fragrances. The result? Much smoother performance and a more balanced scent. I've been wearing it regularly for two weeks now, and I’ve had multiple compliments and people asking what I’m wearing. The sillage is strong without being overpowering, and longevity easily lasts through the day. If you love fresh-ambery profiles that radiate warmth and confidence, but don't want to break the bank, this one is absolutely worth checking out.

Bought for 44 SGD. Never tried GOF or anything else this is supposed to clone so no comparisons there, but this is some excellent juice I'd pay 4-5x the amount I got it for. Gave it a month to settle. Opens with a juicy, fragrant fruit basket. Reminds me of Erba Gold but different fruits. Very nice mango/melon note even if it is synthetic. Dries down to an amazing warm, soft yet strong, cozy and alluring amber (similar to ambroxan actually) woody scent. Perfect for summer daytime. I don't wear this often but I every time I do I am constantly sniffing myself. About 8-10 hours longevity with average sillage and projection. Good projection during the first few hours. Bottle presentation is nice and comes with pressurised atomizer. This is a lot of quality for the price, just don't expect something super natural smelling or very smooth blended.

Picked this up because why not? 30 bucks for a decent little bottle. Worth it. The opening seemed a little redundant at first, this giving me the same kind of vibe as BDC, CDN Iconic, Turathi Blue, stuff like that. After a few minutes, the BDC vibe fades off some and this opens into something a touch more tropical, citrus, aromatics blending together to make me think of a ripe mango. Definitely a little of the vacation vibe here with this. The middle and base have a lot of the fruityness of the opening hanging around, but now a slightly spicy musk is more prominent. Performance is good for what you pay. I'd guess this will get you through a day at work, or whatever really. Definitely a nice little moderate sillage, not too much, really just right I think. Not really much more to say. It's good stuff, good in the spring and summer.

Pretty nice scent. The opening is potent and kinda harsh synthetic but it quickly dries down to be more natural and tolerable. I got this for $20 second hand from a fragrance group and for that price this is very good. I haven’t smelled God of Fire. This reminds me of Tygar (which I have) or it’s clones, not that it smells identical but just kinda in that vein of ultra fresh musky/fruity modern synthetic fragrances, although this is more green and less sweet. It’s kinda like a bit of Diptyque Philosykos blended with Tygar, it has a green/bitter element to it similar to fig leaf. Performance is ok. The opening is strong but it dries down to a subtle airy scent that sits close to the skin with a small scent bubble. It will last about 6 hours max. I’d suggest spraying heavily on skin, 8+ sprays.

I have a terribly poor sense of smell, and just about every perfume I've smelt until now had an opening scent of chemicals and one uniform smell after it settled, and I can never smell anything for longer than a few minutes max. In saying that, I can smell this perfume on my clothes 8 hours later, it seems to fade mostly away by 9 hours, I can smell it on the air around me 3-4 hours later, I can smell fresh fruity opening notes, I can smell lavender and spice middle notes, and I can smell musk and something I can't pin base notes. All this, and I sprayed ONE spray at almost an arms length. My family said not to spray more while testing it in the house because it might get overwhelming. It's an amazing perfume that I can't recommend enough. P.S. It also has a great atomiser.

So this was a bit dissapointing bc I thought Sceptre Malachite was inspired by Bvlgari Kobraa, but It's obviously inspired by God of Fire. I own Lattafa's Ana Abiyedh I am White which is inspired by Erba Pura which smells an aweful lot like God of Fire. I actually prefer I am White to Sceptre Malichite as it has more depth and seems to have a warm Tonka or vanilla at the base while Malachite pretty much stays the same through to the far dry down. There's been so much confusion with Malachite, from YouTubers saying its a Kobraa inspiration to Fragrantica having the notes for Kobraa. So, while Malachite is very nice. I would have to recommend Ana Abiyedh I am White instead. And I give Sceptre Malachite a 7 outta 10.

Okay, this is an interesting and complex scent. First off, I have NOTHING like this in my collection. Opens up sweet and powdery for about an hour, then an unpleasant sweet/sour note takes over and lasts for a couple of hours. Then the familiar Middle Eastern oudy/powdery dry down happens and lasts for another six hours or so. When I was headed to bed, it morphed into such a pleasant, light, sweet and intimate skin scent. Upon waking this morning, I could still smell it, like 24 hours after spraying it on! Not a fan of that mid sour note, but hoping it will even out on maceration (if that is a thing). Would I buy this again? Maybe. Definitely a yes if that sour note goes away. Still good as is: 8/10.

Sceptre Malachite is a great fragrance. The middle eastern releases are pushing me to try more unisex frags and this one is exceptional. I don't generally like the smell of mangoes but I do like Polo Black and FW King. I like this more than both of those. Sceptre malachite doesn't smell like any actual mango that I've ever eaten or drank but 1000% smells like a jolly rancher mango candy tastes. At least that is all i get on top of some amber for the first 2 hours. Past that, I get a beautiful musky woody dry down that I can detect for another 3 to 4 hours. Excellent stuff which allows a refreshing change from the usual citrus fragrances. I could wear this stuff all year. Love it

Nose Note #791 I have this, Vulcan Feu and Opulent Dubai. They are all pretty much the same. Perhaps this one felt longer-lasting than Opulent Dubai. It doesn't list mango as a note, but it definately smells something like a mango. More mango in Vulcan and OD though. Still, with all that being said - very similar juice here and there so my two other reviews apply to this one. Just a beautiful fruity scent that last much much better than average. I've given the other two 10/10 and reviewing this one some months after - it just doesn't impress me so much anymore. 9.5/10, so I'm giving it 9.5, or it could be a 9. I got so used to this scent, I feel like a want to move on

I love this. Smells citrusy, fruity and quite tropical. Not sure why “main accords” list doesn’t include “tropical”. Performance is ideal for a summer fragrance, you get noticed but you don’t offend anyone. Perfume itself suits summer beautifully. It smells more citrusy on my clothes and more sweeter/fruity on my skin, never experienced such thing before. Atomizer is pressurized, bottle and cap are solid and hefty, box is beautiful. I think this is a safe blind buy unless you don’t like slightly sweet fruity fragrances. (Edit: you can use this fragrance 4 seasons, performance has improved a lot after few months and scent profile suits every season in my opinion.)

As a person who has had this fragrance for 6 months and used it a lot, i can say: YES it's a good blind buy, if u like mango, aromatic and a bit of citrusy, blind buy it. I remember when i first bought it it was way more fresh than how it is right now, now is stronger and sweeter (more mango) It gives compliments? Absolutely yes. This fragrance is liked, mango is a very edible smell and people like it. For giving an example, this week i have wore it every day and 6 diferent person have said that I smell really good. It lasts? YES, maybe not as much as khamrah does, but is a summer fragrance, 7 or 8 hours with a proyection on 3h. Buy it, you wont regret.
