Sensual Vanilla

Yeahhhh sureeee it might not have as premium of ingredients per se as the real deal obviously, but for the price this is an insanely good dupe! Like almost 1:1. The opening seems ever so slightlyyy different (the cherry nuance in the almond note is a bit more pronounced here initially) but other than that they’re essentially the same. I picked this up because I received the real Vanilla Sex for my birthday (quite possibly the best vanilla perfume I’ve ever smelled in my entire life) and have been seriouslyyy restricting my usage due to how insanely expensive it is. I know I’ll never buy a bottle for myself so this is an AMAZING alternative for when I am craving the truly addictive and delicious scent profile of VS, but don’t want to use up my actual VS. Gonna reserve that for special occasions etc and use this in between. They’re indistinguishable enough that it satisfies my craving for the real deal. Yay! When u smell them side by side it maybe is less premium/full bodied here, but anyone smelling this around you wouldn’t know the difference.. it pretty much reads the same in the air. Nothing will compare to the vanilla in VS but this is very close. Just so damn good wow Update: it’s a winner y’all! Performance is AMAZING! It lasts and projects just as well as the original for me which also works great with my skin chemistry. First time wearing it and I already got a compliment from my uber driver on my way to work! Love love loveeee! Update 2: omg ok so I work at bath and body works right.. lotssss of competing scents in there.. I got a total of 6 compliments within a 3 hour shift LOL. Safe to say it performs great on me and is a total compliment getter.. so so happy!

Review based on wearing it two days in a row after buying it. I’ve tested TF’s Vanilla Sex a while ago, but I can’t say I can truly compare the two. I have to say, like all of these other Maison Alhambra dupes, this one is definitely a quality alternative, especially for the price point. It’s obviously a vanilla forward fragrance, but to me the almond is about equally as present, with small touches of the floral notes – and there’s something that first struck me as a bit of an oud fragrance, but maybe that’s the combination of the sandalwood with the tonka giving the woods a bit of a smokey touch? The opening gives me some cherry vibes, but I suppose that that is what the overload of almond can do. That fleets really quickly and after a couple of seconds I unfortunately do get the pee smell that people have noted here and in the review of Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sex, but luckily that passes after a couple of seconds too. After that it’s a pretty straightforward almond and vanilla combination. Only in the very opening do I get some Play Doh. I really like it, but I can understand why it’s divisive. Almond is one of those notes that I figure people enjoy in moderation, but they don’t always associate it with perfume. Projection is moderate, longevity is pretty long, but after a couple of hours it’s definitely a skin scent. On another note, I have to give it to them: naming it Sensual Vanilla is like a cute play on the original name.

MA can dupe some fragances to be super near to the original. This is a raw vanilla mixture with other notes that I can’t describe, but elevate the vanilla to very unexpected levels. Not particularly powdery, but rather boozy. An article described the conception of the original as the thought of making vanilla smell like a rockstar’s penis, and its true. Whilst I don’t feel a urine note as many would say, there is some "sex" that is present in the perfume. In the best of ways. I’ll say the opening is not the same as VS, as it has a bit of a stronger almond/cherry smell than the original at first, but after a couple of minutes the dry down delivers exactly the same as the OG. Longevitywise I guess its between moderate and long lasting, I feel it getting closer to my skin as the day passes, but i get whiffs. Anyways, ive been wearing this daily, so maybe im super noseblind to it rn. Smells deliciously sexy, I’d say its unisex. Try the original, if you dont like that, this aint for you. TF reputation and pricepoint affected its rating in fragrantica, so this one’s probably closer to the real peoples feelings. If you blind buy, at least this one wont bite your wallet anywhere as hard, and it is 100ml, compared to TF’s 50ml joke. 10/10

For me the name is misleading- this is not a vanilla dominant fragrance, bitter almond is the core of this scent in my experience. And if someone expects a sweet vanilla, cakes and dessert this is not it! This to me is more amaretto, marzipan gourmand, not a sweet bakery type of perfume. First spray was a bit odd, almost gasoline like chemical smell, this goes away in just a few minutes and turns into bitter almond. As the perfume sets, the floral touches become more prominent - light sweet but also a bit green floral elements accompanying the bitter almond. Then, as the dry down progresses the vanilla comes through more, but still the almond is there. To me this scent carries the dryness and bitterness all the way through. And I love it! It’s different, it’s grownup, and a bit mysterious. I am glad I decided to try it, but you have to expect it will not be a sweet easygoing, designer like scent.

The fragrance start with a vanilla note whose sweetness is not very intense, much more controlled and fragrant, unlike Tom Ford Vanilla Sex. After half an hour, when the middle note (heart note) starts, a very, very slight bitter almond smell is noticeable. Sensual Vanille in this stage is like Italica by Xerjoff. In my opinion, This perfume is much better than Tom Ford Vanilla Sex and the balance of the intensity of the notes is very well maintained. شروع عطر با یک نت وانیلی که شیرینی اش بر خلاف تام فورد وانیلا سکس، که بسیار بسیار شدیده، خیلی کنترل شده و خوشبوتره. بعد از نیم ساعت که نت میانی شروع میشه، یک بوی خیلی خیلی کم تلخ بادامی به مشام میرسه . در این زمان که در فاز میانی هست و حدود سه ربع از عمر عطر میگذره، سنسوال وانیلا خیلی شبیه به ایتالیکا از برند سرجف میشه به نظر من، این عطر، به مراتب از تام فورد وانیلا سکس بهتره و تعادل شدت نتها خیلی خوب رعایت شده

if you can get this fragrance under $20 do it. I smelt it one time and I thought it was disgusting and then I just let it mastery for like four or five months took it out of the closet and now I'm obsessed. The one thing about it is it is bitter, but it's so different and every time I wear it it is so different than anything else. I get literally complimented all day and I am a gatekeeper soooooo I don't tell them what it is! I already purchased a few more i'm letting macerate ! it's just not vanilla but if you put phlur vanilla skin under it my godddddddddddd also this is feminine! it's a non gourmand vanilla for a real woman

This is a most wonderful surprise, almost identical to TF's Vanilla Sex, but a tiny bit less complex, though you'd never notice at a distance. The value is incredible and it's one of the few Middle Eastern dupe fragrances I would buy a second bottle of (I've already used almost 2/3 of it). The longevity and projection are decent and it becomes bolder over time, getting richer and darker. I would highly recommend this as a very respectable, viable alternative to Vanilla Sex.

I wasn’t expecting this perfume to be as similar to Vanilla Sex TF. It’s exactly what I’m expecting of a good dupe. I think you either adore it or hate it, nothing in between, just like the original TF. Personally, I absolutely LOVE this scent and I’m so happy about the longevity, the price, and the quality. It is indeed a vanilla musky scent, not gourmand in any way. If you are not into musky fragrances, I would recommend you pass on this one !

😍 I love almond perfumes, especially if the performance is good. This beautiful example ticks all the boxes for me. Beautiful presentation (perfect for gifting), great longevity (I get a minimum of 6 hours on my skin, much longer on clothing), and the smell makes my mouth water 😋. Would definitely recommend. I've already purchased a backup bottle 😉 👌👍

Surprisingly, this was very sandalwoody to my nose. I do understand the comparison with urea too, although for me it is clearly a bitter almond. I really like that there are no fruity notes in this, I have enough cherries. In fact, this is what I was hoping for from SJP Stash. Nutty, bitter and creamy, with a bit of wood. Very nice.

I am elated that I bought this perfume. It is so warm and intoxicating to me. That almond is very prevalent and I love it. The vanilla is also present but it is not extremely sweet, and I'm not mad at that. I am glad I took a chance and bought this little gem. Y'all have a lovely day.

It starts off as a leafy light amber vanilla then it metamorphs into a warm deep sultry amber woody vanilla. That's with no maceration time fresh out of the box. I'll let them mature and give you an update.

I recall testing a sizable decant of Tom Ford Vanilla Sex a while back and not having a very strong opinion about the fragrance. With all the controversy surrounding Vanilla Sex, I read Sensual Vanilla is a pretty spot-on replica for the Tom Ford OG. So, given the incredibly affordable price point for Sensual Vanilla, I blind purchased a full bottle. Once again there’s not much to say except Sensual Vanilla is a nice enough, very wearable, almond-vanilla fragrance. I do not detect the skanky notes cited by some reviewers. I DO recall Vanilla Sex being reminiscent of this fragrance (I should state this comment in reverse because Vanilla Sex was first). So yes, from my recollection of Vanilla Sex, the fragrance shares similarities with Sensual Vanilla and vice versa. And consistent with my experiences with a few Middle Eastern fragrances I’ve tried, sadly the longevity isn’t great. But I love the fragrance and cannot imagine forking over $400USD plus/minus for the Tom Ford juice. Just to add, Sensual Vanilla does have a slight Xerjoff Italica vibe. I have owned and used a few Italica 100ml bottles in my lifetime because I love the fragrance. However, Sensual Vanilla is not nearly as complex and sweet as Italica. Love it!! Happy I snapped up a bottle.

This vanilla is less sensual than I was expecting, considering its name. I would classify it as a cooler, greener vanilla, although I can detect hints of the almond and tonka. It smells exactly like cream soda to me...sweet but light, creamy and cool. It's not a warm bakery vanilla. It's not my favorite vanilla (I usually tend to gravitate towards warmer vanillas like Eshal Vanilla) but it's delightful and I'm tempted to pick up a full bottle (the price cannot be beat). I like to pair it with Mix:Bar's Whipped Almond. They both have similar (sub-par) sillage and longevity...a couple sprays lasts me 3-4 hours tops. The upside is, its cheap so you can bring a travel spray and reapply often, and because it's a cooler, lighter vanilla, overspraying won't make you or those around you nauseous. It could also be worn year-round, whereas heavier vanillas might be cloying in the summer heat. Edit: Ever since I realized that Sensual Vanilla smells like a cream soda, that's all I can smell when I wear it. It does play nicely with Whipped Almond, but more and more I'm preferring to wear Whipped Almond on its own. On the fence about whether to buy a bottle of this.

So I'm wearing this right now and I smell like a freshly opened bottle of artificial vanilla essense...I couldn't be happier. I'm not a vanilla lover but it definitely pays to have a vanilla scent in your collection, so I've be trying to find one I like for years. I'm a hard sell. The only vanilla I like is one that smells cold and/or powdery. Any hint of caramel and I nope out hard. This smells like vanilla sugar when real vanilla pods are involved. Hints of almond but not much. Not at all animalic to my nose disappointingly. A compliment getter on me. For reference, the two closest scents to my nose are Monotheme Vanilla Blossom and Chloe Vanilla Planifolia.

If SV was a color, it would be an ever so slightly pink nude. The opening is not great, starting out pretty musky and slightly powdery with vanilla waiting in the back for its turn. But after about 20 minutes, the musk calms down, the vanilla comes out and tonka takes place of the powder. I understand what other reviews describe as baby spit up or body fluids; there is definitely a "body odor" element to it. But personally I would describe that scent more like how a baby's breath or their head can smell sweet. Obviously from a person, but not bad at all. It's soft, sweet(not gourmand!) and smells womanly, not girly.

I got this today and was very afraid of what I was going to think about it after reading some of these reviews but I really like it. At first spray it reminded me alot of almond croissant by Alt but after a couple hours the vanilla becomes more prominent but almond is still the star. I have been wearing it for over 8 hours and it's definitely still there but softer, like my skin but better. If you like almond fragrances I would definitely say this is a safe blind buy and I paid about 20 dollars. Maison Alhambra perfumes are so high quality, long lasting and dirt cheap...my new favorite brand

I understand that people have different noses but I genuinely find it hard to see any way of this perfume smelling like urine in any way this is a beautiful vanilla perfume Do not expect a heavy creamy vanilla this fragrance is more of an aromatic vanilla rather than a whipped cream type of vibe To my nose outside of being able to pick out every note(the ingredients also smell high quality) I get a non fizzy Vanilla cola kind of vibe I do like this fragrance and for any all around vanilla lovers I do think you will enjoy this one MAISON ALHAMBRA did a good job

This is actually really pretty straight out of the box. & that was with the botte being super hot from traveling. So I can't wait to see how this develops.

Smells exactly like marzipan to me.
