Sugar Me Pistachio Chocolate

The opening of this is super nutty, a true roasted pistachio scent dipped in milky (by the caramel) chocolate. Delicious. It morphs into a very nutty-dominant scent on me. The aforementioned Coconut impression mentioned in reviews on here is subtle and elusive on me, more of a trick of the mind. The more I smell it the more pistachio I get. Maybe the milky facets of the caramel with the fresh powdery notes mixed with vanilla and the tonka's coumarin (a chemical compound of the lactone family giving waxy, creamy scent) are mimicking the milky coconut impression that some ppl get, while the roasted nuts element from the pistachio note and the sesame, emulates the roasted shredded coconut. Not much coconut here for me, but only at the drydown I get a subtle milky coconut impression with the help of the fresher powdery notes and vanilla. And I still smell the chocolate alongside the vanilla coconut nuance. The first 30 mins I mainly smell roasted nuts in chocolate slightly balsamic ambery. No cardamom really other than a subtle green undertone. The rich chocolate hits me in the face from the opening even tho it's at the base because tonka is at the heart and tonka gives off chocolate nuances so the chocolate here is intensified by it and potent throughout. So it's not like the chocolate note entirely gives off a coconut scent replacing the chocolate. Normally it's the coconut note paired with tonka that mimic chocolate for me since raw tonka creates a chocolatey impression as in Creamy Vanilla & Coconut by The Dua (Coconut, Vanilla Bean, Whipped Cream, & Tonka Beans). Likewise coffee notes may mimic chocolate and ambery chocolate may give off a coffee impression. I have many chocolate scents by the Dua and this one's powdery milky chocolatey coconutty drydown is somewhat similar to Creamy Vanilla & coconut but Sugar Me PC has a more intense chocolate scent while the DUA one is rather balsamic-tropical that this one isn't as much. Also its in the same league as Choco Milk Treat with notes of Chocolate, Caramel, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Praline, Milky Notes, Amber, & Musk. The caramel in Choco Milk Treat offers that lactonic feel with the chocolate note but it's not coconutty as a scent. The chocolate in Sugar Me Pistachio Chocolate is very potent on me, just not as dark as in Caramelized Hazelnut dipped in Chocolate by Dua which is a very rich Nutella nutty scent. Similar league tho cuz the pistachio in this is very dominant for me and that's what I was looking for, a true chocolate pistachio green nutty creamy scent. The later drydown is very vanilla-centered and powdery chocolatey with hints of roasted coconut. Amazing scent but doesn't last long on me maybe 2 hours.

I bought Sugar Me Carrot Cake and loved it, so thought I’d try another one. I’ve been burned in the past by soapy, floral pistachio fragrances so was wary. This is GORGEOUS! However, I’m not actually picking up any pistachio. To me it is very coconutty which I love. It’s like toasted coconut and cookies. Now this is straight out of the box, and it’s pretty weak. But I will put it aside for a few months to mature and check again in spring.

This is chocolate pistachios cookies with coconut sprinkles . Its very literal gourmand scent. I love it. Its weaker than Eclaire Pistache hence I think it will be great in spring and summer. If you overspray it lasts quite a while.

Grabbed this and ‘Carrot Cake’ after my initial purchase of half the line. You know, just in case I was missing something. 🤭 Hmmm, I get an ultra lifelike Pistachio dipped in a thin layer of Milk Chocolate here. Perfectly sugary and balanced without being a cloying mess. Really reminds me of ‘Choco Pista Macaron’ from Lattafa’s “Decadent Delights” line that with repeated efforts, I cant seem to get logged here on Fragrantica. Purely speculation, but since the aforementioned Lattafa line release pretty much flopped, perhaps they turned to sister brand Maison Alhambra to relieve stock? They smell genuinely identical on skin. To my nose, this doesn’t resemble ‘Eclaire Pistache,’ and this without question supersedes it. I was a huge fan of ‘Pistache’ until it recently started smelling like ‘Amore Caffé,’ yuck. I appreciate how tangible the Pistachio is here, and thats mostly what makes this so interesting. Glad I came back for this, ‘Carrot Cake’ not so much ! 🤧

This reminds me of a Latin-style coconut macaroon made with shredded coconut. At the same time, it smells as if that cookie was drizzled with dark chocolate and sprinkled with crushed pistachios. That’s exactly what this fragrance reminds me of. This is really good

This is not a pleasant scent at all. Could not even wear it.

Very coconut forward. Smells like roasted coconut cookies drizzled in chocolate. There's a hint of pistachio maybe, but this perfume is not really pistachio. I have quite few pistachio frags in my collection, from YBM Kayali, to Eclair Pistachio, Mugler Stellar etc. and they all have a prominent pistachio note, each done differently, but it's there for sure. In Sugar Me, it's negotiable. The same with dulce the leche, not very dulce de leche to me. So be careful and test any from this line before purchase. This one is beast mode, stays on clothes and projects for 48h straight. I'm an oversprayer, and saying this.

Did they really just steal Anfar's Pistachio Kunafa?
