Tabac

I just sprayed Tabac on one hand and Cuban Tobacco from Alghabra on the other. Wow, Tabac doesn't smell as deep or defined, but on skin it smells borderline identical in the grand scheme of non-snobbishness. Imagine the difference between 1440p and 2160p resolution. That's how I smell it. On paper, the only clue on which one is which is that you need to sniff Tabac closer, and then you notice it lacks depth and complexity. The scent is the same, but Cuban Tobacco feels sharper and finer in the nose. It has more sweetness, spiciness and brightness. Tabac smells staler in comparison; flatter, but by itself, it's the same scent. Lattafa nailed this fragrance. If you smell it, you know what Dior Tobacolor and Alghabra Cuban Tobacco smells like. Those are the best version of this exact scent profile, which I've never smelled before. It's totally unique to me. Imagine you have honey in your hands and you grab a tobacco leaf to sniff it from a few inches away. It's not a heavy or punchy scent and the other notes are just tiny supporting nuances that are well-blended to give the dimension to the composition. Tabac smells close enough to replace those other two fragrances in a pinch, although the differences, though not big scent-wise, especially from far away and not sniffed up close, are significant in my opinion. It's like the Olympics, where tiny differences matter so hugely, they separate 1st from 2nd place. This is the case here. Anyway, Lattafa did an amazing job even with the lower-quality ingredients. I probably couldn't smell them blindly on separate days and say which one is which even if side by side I can.

Been wanting to try this. Another to add to the tobacco collection. Never smelled the original. From what i read Tabac(now calles Smoky) is less sweet and more smoked vs. The original Tobacolor. The initial spray the plum and peach, tobacco and honey hit you immediately. The smoky sweetness, like dried plum, peach and dried currant and dates, mixed with tobacco and then drizzled with honey. The honey is prominent but smells very realistic. I do nit smell bergamot or citrus. Its plum, peach and honey. The dry down has a wonderful smoky tobacco accord, honey dies down a little and the peach and plum smoothes out. Its very well balanced. The original may prove too sweet for me as reviews mentio Tobacolor has a more sweet honey accord. Its pretty linear but not in a bad way. Dried fruits, honey smoky tobacco. Its sillage is strong as well as longevity. This stuff just lasts and lasts. The tobacco isnt in your face like say, red tobacco/red tobacco intense, or the TF TV and its dupes. I like its smoothness. Its not bold or loud. But it definitely projects. Very safe tobacco scent. I own alot of tobacco scents and I like more prominent tobacco (Red Tobacco Intense is just a masterpiece). This sits right in the sweet spot for me.

Yep, it’s a good one. The opening is a blast of honey and tobacco which almost scared me at first. I thought, oh no!, it’s too much. Then within just a few short minutes the fruity goodness arrived to save the day. As it dries down, you get a wisp of smoke blended nicely with a that sweet touch so vital as to keep this from being a dry tobacco. This one isn’t linear as it morphs nicely in every phase of the dry down. For me, the only shortcoming is upon complete dry down the honey/fruitiness fades a bit to a leathery smoke scent. That’s not bad though as it is very masculine I’m inclined to wear it in the evenings for special occasions and dinner. It’s definitely a fall/winter frag or early spring....go easy on the sprays... four or five is plaenty. The right kind of lady can carry it off so I classified it as unisex leaning toward masculinity. At $35, it’s a steal! BTW...for everyone on here who trashes it, there are 20 that like or love it. Bom, eu possuo esse perfume a 3 anos, tb tenho um decant de tobacolor e um frasco de zenith tobacco de french avenue. Se o ponto que procura e um perfume mais resinoso, suave, e um menor desafio a resposta e o zenith, oferece um chocolate e patchouli bem aparentes e tabaco, o mel e a fava tonka dao um toque doce, mas nao xaroposo como o maison alhambra. Agora se quer um perfume muito mais proximo ao tobacolor e performance igual, vai de tabac, mel muito mais evidente, ameixa e pessego, tabaco bem doce, o lado esfumaçado muito presente no original esta aqui, ja no outro inspirado nao, bem como as notas frutadas e o mel bem denso,e claro oferece um nivel de desafio maior. Quanto a doçura do original nenhum dos inspirados chega no nivel. O que posso garantir, é cuidado com os youtubers, muitos deles so estão la para ganhar parcerias, prove e tire suas verdadeiras conclusões.

A very nice honey, tobacco smoky fragrance. I am not familiar with the Dior but this which is now called smoky, is very good by itself, and especially for its price. It also doesn't have this alcoholic smell at first, that I often smell with the other fragrances in this price range. I did wear it in the winter as much as in the summer to try it out, and for the ones who are familiar with the Moonlight Pana Dora, maybe you can smell a similarity? Or is it just me, the difference is maybe in cinnamon, but the honey in smoky almost makes up for it. This did not disappoint me, but I would say it is not a safe blind buy unless you are very much into honey tobacco scents. Because of the smoke note, it might lean masculine to some.
