I just sprayed Tabac on one hand and Cuban Tobacco from Alghabra on the other. Wow, Tabac doesn't smell as deep or defined, but on skin it smells borderline identical in the grand scheme of non-snobbishness. Imagine the difference between 1440p and 2160p resolution. That's how I smell it. On paper, the only clue on which one is which is that you need to sniff Tabac closer, and then you notice it lacks depth and complexity. The scent is the same, but Cuban Tobacco feels sharper and finer in the nose. It has more sweetness, spiciness and brightness. Tabac smells staler in comparison; flatter, but by itself, it's the same scent. Lattafa nailed this fragrance. If you smell it, you know what Dior Tobacolor and Alghabra Cuban Tobacco smells like. Those are the best version of this exact scent profile, which I've never smelled before. It's totally unique to me. Imagine you have honey in your hands and you grab a tobacco leaf to sniff it from a few inches away. It's not a heavy or punchy scent and the other notes are just tiny supporting nuances that are well-blended to give the dimension to the composition. Tabac smells close enough to replace those other two fragrances in a pinch, although the differences, though not big scent-wise, especially from far away and not sniffed up close, are significant in my opinion. It's like the Olympics, where tiny differences matter so hugely, they separate 1st from 2nd place. This is the case here. Anyway, Lattafa did an amazing job even with the lower-quality ingredients. I probably couldn't smell them blindly on separate days and say which one is which even if side by side I can.

Been wanting to try this. Another to add to the tobacco collection. Never smelled the original. From what i read Tabac(now calles Smoky) is less sweet and more smoked vs. The original Tobacolor. The initial spray the plum and peach, tobacco and honey hit you immediately. The smoky sweetness, like dried plum, peach and dried currant and dates, mixed with tobacco and then drizzled with honey. The honey is prominent but smells very realistic. I do nit smell bergamot or citrus. Its plum, peach and honey. The dry down has a wonderful smoky tobacco accord, honey dies down a little and the peach and plum smoothes out. Its very well balanced. The original may prove too sweet for me as reviews mentio Tobacolor has a more sweet honey accord. Its pretty linear but not in a bad way. Dried fruits, honey smoky tobacco. Its sillage is strong as well as longevity. This stuff just lasts and lasts. The tobacco isnt in your face like say, red tobacco/red tobacco intense, or the TF TV and its dupes. I like its smoothness. Its not bold or loud. But it definitely projects. Very safe tobacco scent. I own alot of tobacco scents and I like more prominent tobacco (Red Tobacco Intense is just a masterpiece). This sits right in the sweet spot for me.

Yep, it’s a good one. The opening is a blast of honey and tobacco which almost scared me at first. I thought, oh no!, it’s too much. Then within just a few short minutes the fruity goodness arrived to save the day. As it dries down, you get a wisp of smoke blended nicely with a that sweet touch so vital as to keep this from being a dry tobacco. This one isn’t linear as it morphs nicely in every phase of the dry down. For me, the only shortcoming is upon complete dry down the honey/fruitiness fades a bit to a leathery smoke scent. That’s not bad though as it is very masculine I’m inclined to wear it in the evenings for special occasions and dinner. It’s definitely a fall/winter frag or early spring....go easy on the sprays... four or five is plaenty. The right kind of lady can carry it off so I classified it as unisex leaning toward masculinity. At $35, it’s a steal! BTW...for everyone on here who trashes it, there are 20 that like or love it. Bom, eu possuo esse perfume a 3 anos, tb tenho um decant de tobacolor e um frasco de zenith tobacco de french avenue. Se o ponto que procura e um perfume mais resinoso, suave, e um menor desafio a resposta e o zenith, oferece um chocolate e patchouli bem aparentes e tabaco, o mel e a fava tonka dao um toque doce, mas nao xaroposo como o maison alhambra. Agora se quer um perfume muito mais proximo ao tobacolor e performance igual, vai de tabac, mel muito mais evidente, ameixa e pessego, tabaco bem doce, o lado esfumaçado muito presente no original esta aqui, ja no outro inspirado nao, bem como as notas frutadas e o mel bem denso,e claro oferece um nivel de desafio maior. Quanto a doçura do original nenhum dos inspirados chega no nivel. O que posso garantir, é cuidado com os youtubers, muitos deles so estão la para ganhar parcerias, prove e tire suas verdadeiras conclusões.

A very nice honey, tobacco smoky fragrance. I am not familiar with the Dior but this which is now called smoky, is very good by itself, and especially for its price. It also doesn't have this alcoholic smell at first, that I often smell with the other fragrances in this price range. I did wear it in the winter as much as in the summer to try it out, and for the ones who are familiar with the Moonlight Pana Dora, maybe you can smell a similarity? Or is it just me, the difference is maybe in cinnamon, but the honey in smoky almost makes up for it. This did not disappoint me, but I would say it is not a safe blind buy unless you are very much into honey tobacco scents. Because of the smoke note, it might lean masculine to some.

It could easily Cost £200 plus and folks would still buy after they smelt it. A very Rich fragrance. Dont let the Honey put you off, this isn't like any regular Honey, its sublty sweeter, with tobacco and slight uplifting which im guessing its the peach and the plum, and smoky notes. You just want to it, and its not cloying at All, very Classy. Dont think, just get it! Instantly became 1 of my favourites dispite having fragrances much more expensive than this. It reminded me of Issey miyakes Noir ambre, everyone was taking it for granted for 40£, and when it got discontinued, price was around 300 plus Btw: The changed name to smoky, does it smell the same or is it any different 🤔?

The atomizer smelled great, but when I sprayed it on skin, it had something slightly funky about it... but after several wears, I honestly think that "funk" balances out the sweetness in a really cool way so that it maintains a masculine edge. I like to spray it on my pajama sweatshirt sleeves. It stays on there for several days and is awesome to catch whiffs of. A handsome tobacco and dried fruits scent that will get plenty of wear from me. This one is a great value that smells better than its price tag might suggest. Update - 2/24/2026 Moved this from a "like" to a "love." It's just too good. An absolute cold-weather staple with excellent performance.

Nose Note #302 One of the most challanging scents for me, but it's a rare one that grew on me. I have to bare through the very nutty opening and then after some time it becomes amazing, especially in the sillage. To me it's not about realistic tobacco. It's about this sweet nutty and a little fruity and ambery accord. Beautiful. One of those moments when you can't believe this cost you so little and you feel thankful that you were allowed to enjoy it. Don't be mislead. This is not like Smoking Hot or Mashrabaya. Those two are about apple shisha, this is about leathery nuts.

As a female who smelt over 1000 perfumes, this DNA on a man in fall/winter makes me weak at my knees... I know there are better-made frags out there but a lot of them are aggressive, masculine, evoking confidence and strength etc, that's fine. But there is something special about this DNA that just sends signals of comfort, safety, home, and festivities. Forget Angel's Share. This is warm, inviting, bouji, and very classy. I haven't smelled the original, but I still think this dupe is worth the little price, gents, just get it!! This is Christmas perfection.

Opens with blast of furits... Rapidly vanishes and leaves its place to tobbacco. then Tobacco settles and becomes smoother.Blends with honey. While tobacco settles honey becomes powerful at the and a perfect combination of tobacco and honey with hint of fruits. Very masculine fragrance.Not for everyone. But still gets compliments. I am still testing it on my skin and the only issue is it easily becomes close skin scent. It projects well in the first 2 hours. Absoulutely love the fragrance but some concerns with performance. It may because of my skin type.

Intoxicating honeyed tobacco with plum. I can't stop smelling this. It really is beautiful, easily lasts 12+ hours on skin, but be careful how many times you spray this. It's strong, so 3-4 sprays is the absolute max in my opinion. I find it so interesting how subjective fragrance is, and how different people pick up on different notes based on their sensitivity. What is headache inducing for one, another may feel calm and at peace. I fall into the latter category. If you can find this fragrance, it's absolutely worth a blind buy.

This one left me pretty much speechless. Easily every bit of 95% close to the Dior. For about $30. To the untrained nose, indistinguishable. To my 'partially' trained nose, 'virtually' indistinguishable. I mean, c'mon now. This is just ridiculously good for the price. Bottle and atomizer are also nice. Just wow. And the performance is incredible. Absolute head-turning fragrance. This scent profile is just great. I love the Dior, but unless you are parading your bottle around with you to show off....

Initially the honey sweetness is very prevalent and steals the show from the tobacco, bordering on too sweet for my nose! After it settles, you start getting more and more of that smooth tobacco and hints of warm and woody incense notes with a bit of that honey sweetness hanging out in the background. Performance on my skin is around 3 hours of strong projection fading into a skin scent after about 7 hours and remains a skin scent until i scrub it away in the shower.

If sweet & smokey is your thing this is the best bottle you can buy. Period. Insane performance, the only thing I own that performs better is Ragbha Wood Intense. Smells incredible, everything they say is true BUY IT, unless you don't like sweet or smokey, than absolutely do not buy it. Nitpicks: If you put your nose up to right where you sprayed it smells like bad smoked meat laying in a giant ashtray, do not do this.

After trying a few tobacolor decants I was looking for something similar at a much cheaper price l, as I love the smell, I grabbed 2 bottles of this for a very good price and I ain’t disappointed. The scent isn’t for everyone but I find it rather addictive. Been using it the past few days to test on clothes and skin, and I’m sure it lasts much longer than the original. One of my best purchases yet

Nose Note #159 Smells like hazelnut more than anything. Nut paste or halva. Sweet and smoky nut paste, but not the tobacco or tobacco leaf that I'm accustomed to. Great expectations ruined. Very strong and pushed far, I can give it that. It's interesting and memorable, but gets annoying quickly, because it doesn't develop a whole lot. Needs getting used to. Obviously, not for a blind buy.

Man I just opened this baby and am extremely happy. It's called Smoky now. First spray and it's very clovey or maybe star anise with hints of tobacco and vanilla. Very spicy and honestly pretty sweet. Definitely a winter/or night fragrance. I have a feeling this is going to be a beast so I'll have to wait a while for the dry down but I'll give an update later this evening.

basically think of a person who smokes a pack a day and they’re wearing guerlain tobacco honey and they’re baking a fruit pie. it’s a very ashtray smoke and tobacco with photorealistic beeswax honey and some sweet fruit to mix in. it dries down really well and has a true scent journey that most dupes never get. this is easily one of the best dupes.

Fully ripened and fleshy plum drenched in thick honey and left to marinate in an ambery and lightly smoky tobacco oil. Delicious, lasts for ages on skin and clothes. I find the plum is stronger on skin and tobacco more obvious on clothes. Leaves a trail for sure, I've had my bottle for 6 months, top off. Quite close to Tobacolor.

This is straight up honey and plum, dry down and the tobacco comes alive i own the dior tobacolor and it is over 90% similar infact i dare say 95%, I cant comment on the longevity for now but this is a nice addition to my collection, WINTER IS COMING 😁 Let's rock and roll Update: longevity is amazing 8 hrs and counting on this!

The tobacco note here smells very realistic and dense, like a freshly cut cigar dipped in honey.. there’s a bit more going on terms of fruitiness and bit of spices in the background that make this fragrance smell so delicious. Recommend if you want something that leans mature but is super inviting and addictive.

This fragrance is absolutely amazing. It’s a dense, smoky fragrance that envelopes you in a thick layer of very sweet honey and rich tobacco. There’s faint hints of the plum and peach in the air as well. Not sure how similar this is to Dior’s Tobacolor, but it’s definitely a great fragrance on its own.

90% Dior Tobacolor. The opening is harsher and you'll think it's 70% similar but the dry down gets closer and it has similar longevity to the OG, though not quite as refined or as long lasting. This has saved me a packet and I can cherish my Dior for longer by using the Tabac for lesser occasions. 8/10

This is gorgeous. Lasts all day with good projection. Was still receiving compliments from people 12 hours after putting it on. No need to write a lengthy review here--if you're looking for a masculine, tobacco fragrance with a hint of sweetness, just buy this. Would I purchase again? Absolutely!

a smoky, incense-heavy tobacco fragrance with a very strong, realistic tobacco note. There’s a bit of sweetness and light fruitiness in the background, but the tobacco stays the main focus the whole time. Great longevity and sillage, perfect for winter and excellent value for the price 8/10

This one was a massive surprise. It's very affordable but the smell and performance are great. Honey is very noticeable, but it's also smoky, tobacco is there. I wouldn't recommend it to people under 30 though. It's more mature smell. It's elegant. One of my favorites for fall and winter.

VERY close to Tabacolor by Dior. I don't see any reason to own both. Don't get me wrong, the Dior fragrance is very high-quality and I am sure an expert nose could tell the difference. It also has an amazing trail. It's not overly projecting, but you certainly leave a LONG scent trail.

Absolutely love tabac. It's a clone of tobacolor by dior. Beautiful honey and tobacco fragrance. Honey is the main player but tobacco is definitely there. This seems to sell out pretty fast. Sillage and projection are both fantastic. 9.5/10.

Amazed at this cheap alyernative to Tobacolor. I owned both Tabac and Tobacolor. Sparyed side by side and I can confidently say it is very close. A big bang for the money. Heard the name has been changed to Smoky.

Bought this on a blind buy, I'd say it's not for everyone, but I did like it. It's mature and masculine. Got some good complaints on day one. It project well also , filled the office space.

Amamzing, great winter and evening scent the sweet tobacco is like if you took Khamrah and made it more manly. Great signature cold weather scent, and performs really really good.

This is your sign to buy MA Smoky while you can (or even a backup bottle). One day it will be discontinued and people will glaze it like they do MA Exclusif Tabac. Peace

For anyone still confused "Smoky" is a repackaging of "Tabac". The Fragrance "Exclusif Tabac" is likely what you're thinking of, and it seems to have been discontinued.

very fruity opening with hint of tobacco, but drys down into a perfectly romanticized sweet smoke that you hope a heavy smoker smells like, but never actually does.

Exceeds my expectations. The scent is really good, it would be perfect if they increase the sweetness tho, but this is already more than good.

For me it has very realistic fermented pipe tobacco note, which I love, with hints of dried fruits. Happy to have it

If you are on the fence between the older Tabac and the renamed Smoky, they are the same juice. I got both.

For those wondering, i have a bottle of tabac and a bottle of smoky and they're the exact same thing.

Also would like to add that they changed the name of this from tabac to smoky.

Great alternative to CD Tobacolor

Tabac, aka Smoky. Yes they have changed the name of this perfume, it is called Smoky now but the fragrance is exactly the same. A very good fragrance indeed. A rich sweet (honey maybe?) tobacco scent enanched with some ctrusy notes, plum notes and amber. A cozy, calming scent that will warm you up in colder weather. I really like it and yes it is pretty similar to Tobacolor by Dior. Not exactly the same but close enough to let it easy to pull the trigger on this one instead of Tobacolor. Cheap but extremely good. Longevity is good. The fragrance is pretty strong but not too much wich make it easy to wear it without being too much intrusive (it is noticeable tough, it is not weak by any means and projection is huge). Do you love tobacco scents? well, SMoky/Tabac is an easy choice! :)

The fruity, opening does actually smells like plums. Its very fruity in the beginning and dries down to honey-ish tobacco smell. Its like PLUMS baked with honey in the oven. like ACTUALLY. the soft ripe plum baking in honey. But to the untrained nose, its the "smoker cigarette smell". Literally got called out by my friend for smelling like a smoker. And he thought i smoked before entering class. Not a scent for everybody, but its an okay buy if you really like fruit tobacco honey. not lyin brah. And yes this thing if u wear, everybody knows its you bro.

Never have I ever bought a perfume that was this revolting when I opened it. It was so affordable and the reviews were so good I kept it. In 4-5 months it turned good. Initially it was like the mix of deodorants from a boys locker room. Now it’s honey and tobacco with a touch of By the Fireplace type smoke. I like it, still leaning masculine, but now a sophisticated gentleman/gentletomboy. It is very pleasant and welcoming with an edge from the smoke. Shame it got good just when spring came, but next winter I will be bathing in this.

This is a very strong warm sweet thick fruity sticky spicy fragrance. The peach is strong. It smells like a spiced peach cooking in an open fire while dripping honey. Bonus is that there is no ashy smell in my bottle. It’s nice although I don’t know what the oriental spice is precisely. It reminds me of potpourri. A dry fruity spice smell that I remember smelling in my grandmas house. My bottle is so so new (07-24) so I’m hoping as it sits it changes enough to be rid of the association. For now it’s like a 7/10 for me.

Smoky honey on the opening, then those fruits start to come in with tobacco in the background. The tobacco definitely doesn't take long to take center stage with the honey and smoke though. The fruits are there as well but in a subtle way adding sweetness and a little bit if depth to the fragrance but for the most part( on my skin) I get smokey honey and tobacco with hints of fruit( I can't pick out any inparticular but it does smell slightly fruity) waiting for the cold to wear this.
