The Tux

I just got this yesterday, I fell for the hype and jumped on $40 a bottle. I can't believe how great they did. They killed it, like perfectly. How great is that? For that price compared to Tuxedo? It's soooooo close I can't tell, at all. Nope. I got myself quite the Lattafa, Maison Alhambra, Afnan, collection. I swear I must have a few grand collection for only pennies on the dollar. They are not shy about who they are cloning like Armaf is. Armaf just kills it and just ruins it with the crazily absurd the bottle is. Like whoever designed bottles for Armaf should be unloading trucks or something. Maison Alhambra just for me has just great way of bringing luxury fragrances, with equal or more presentation, way more actually. Like Maison Alhambra just got me hooked after I tried Tobacco Touch. Perfect. So like now when they release something, it's gonna be good. Know that. This is great. Some may be off put by the whole cloning thing, me personally, I embrace it. Like the bottles are very luxurious. Very attention to detail. The packaging is that of the expensive ones. I mean they deliver premium for almost nothing. Tobacco Vanille was one of my favorite frags. I could wear that all-day every day. Perfect. So when I got Tobacco Touch, I had high expectations. I was sure they were gonna have some flaws. Nope. Lasts as long, bottles exactly. Box, exactly. Font on the letters, perfect. How they are able to do this opened my eyes. Like I said they are not shy about saying who they are aiming to, take their money pretty much. Someone at like Tom Ford has to be punching walls. Not just Tom Ford, but Parfums De Marley, ESL, like all the super high end niche, they are literally just scooping their bank account, with a huge shovel, and putting it into their bank. This is another great perfect inspired by, fragrance. They have a Tobac one I got with this, just as good.

Over time, I had always had a interest in clones, just because many wlll say they are close to the scent they are copying just to get you to buy it. Then the YouTube community of reviewers will say it is close and another will say the opposite. I used to assume that dupes were just slime balls, capitalizing on the hype that another scent earned. I also used to spend ridiculous amounts on expensive scents like Aventus, PDM frags. So I tried to keep an open mind when buying this after the last of my Tuxedo drained. This scent revolutionized the way I see clone houses, specifically Lattafa, and Afnan, Maison Alhambra, which I believe are all part of Lattafa, or close. But this right here blew my mind and I swear I can not tell the difference. I get that nostalgia immediately after I spray it on. My wife also agrees with me cause she constantly loved it on me. This here is probably the very best clone on the market when you compare a clone to the original. You are getting the same scent. Maybe some can sit there and pick away differences, but I can't, not with this. Oud For Glory is close close, but not like this. Now I know why this is impossible to get at the suggested retail price. I believe the hype on this one cause I'm smelling it on me and I really smell it good, when someone other than me wears it. My wife puts it on, and when I smell it off her skin it's just magnificent. Great job Maison Alhambra. I think to get it that close, you deserve to be in a category outside of clones. It's art they do it that well. The patchouli is so rich and dense, and just wow.

I know YSL Tuxedo well, never thought it was worth the price they are currently asking for it...however I always wanted to have it in my collection, having sampled it many times over the past (both old and new variations). I have Rochas Moustache edp since I was looking for a suitable replacement at better cost and honestly Moustache is close enough but with noticeable differences. The Tux however smells almost exactly like the old YSL Tuxedo, the version with beast performance. Unfortunately the new formulations of Tuxedo are not what the scent used to be, YSL need to bring the price down now that this one exists. Basically from my point of view this makes the latest YSL Tuxedo redundant, yes YSL Tuxedo might have a creamier feel to it, Tux goes in a more woody/leather direction in dry down (which I actually prefer). But honestly guys, this is Tuxedo in a different bottle - if YSL released this as Tuxedo... only the real diehard Tuxedo fans will be able to tell the difference. I think when the word gets out, this fragrance is going to up in price, it's the best Tuxedo clone there is without a doubt. If Tuxedo and Moustache were to have a baby this would probably be it... this one does lead more towards the Tuxedo side. The quality is unbelievable at the price I paid. This one is a 10/10. I sprayed some on the back of my hand and then washed my hand with soap... I can still smell it.

Opens up quite like Moustache... Has that same different scent feel to it... Tingly Pink Pepper forward opening but think it's more grounded with a backbone of Patchouli... Banger of a Scent for the Money, even at €50 from the original €25 or so... After Lunch it dries down to a nice dry patchouli... It pops a little sprinkle of the pink pepper and spice opening every now and again and I get the feeling you might get a little noise blind to the patchouli but its a nice transition... This was day one. new bottle testing so I expect a bit of change with time also... Very Classy scent... By 5 in the evening it gets closer to the skin but the spicy ambary kick still linkers in your nostrils every now and again... The Dry Patchouli is still there also but day one I think its lacking a bit of its punch... Time will tell if the patchouli becomes more of a player... Even as it stands this is a very good bang for buck scent... I like the fact that it morphs a little more than moustache which I believe stays fairly consistent amber vanilla and red pepper... I haven't picked up any vanilla in Tux yet... Nice scent... Great Value at anything under €40 to €50... Anything over that and your talking away one of the things that makes this such a joy to wear... Its value brings a smile to your great smelling face... A+

After reading some of the negative reviews on here I was afraid I wouldn't like it. I was pleasantly surprised, it's a very enjoyable slightly sharp floral scent that's smoothed down by vanilla, the patchouli is very well balanced with the other notes and not overpowering at all, I can't really notice the spicy notes and the amber is there but more in the background. The performance is alright, it has moderate projection for an hour or so then it slowly decreases and by the 4th hour it becomes a skin scent before fading away by the 5th hour or so. Works fine for me since I would wear this for special event, although you could use this pretty comfortably to work or university as long as you are dressed moderately well. It's not a fresh fragrance, but it's not cloying either, you could probably get away with wearing this in the summer if the context is appropriate. I made an account just to make this review because I don't want you to get scared off from trying this. I suspect the quality must vary a bit between batches, I bought mine after it was renamed to 'Winsome' and the juice in my bottle is a bit darker than some of the pictures I've seen. Don't own the YSL original to compare, but it doesn't matter, this smells amazing.

This is such a beautiful fragrance! Honestly cannot compare it to Tuxedo as I've never personally smelled it but by it's own merits it is absolutely worth the hype. It is such a high quality fragrance that I wouldn't expect from a clone house and when I wear it I just can't stop smelling myself. I purchased my bottle from FragranceBuy and believe you ABSOLUTELY should not pay any scalper prices, most comfortable price I feel for scalpers is $50 USD, maybe MAX $60 but would personally just wait out the hype train, and try to scoop it up when in stock. It is absolutely not worth paying almost the amount of the original for a dupe. Otherwise, I feel this is a great unisex fragrance that leans slightly masculine buy ultimately not so much so a woman couldn't pull it off. Longevity isn't amazing, maybe 4-5 hours but honestly not too far off from the OG as I've been told. Would absolutely recommend this for a date night or going out to a bar where you likely don't need it to last a ton of time. Summer is fine if on a cool evening personally. If you can get it for the price I mentioned or less, awesome! I don't endorse paying scalpers more for hype.

You winsome you lose some. In this case, it’s a win. I had previously owned a sample of Tuxedo and it immediately became a top 5 favorite of mine. Maybe someday I will own a full bottle but good lord it’s expensive. So to soften the blow of the “unaffordability” of it I bought a bottle of Suits. It was an immediate throw away because of a plastic-y smell on top of an otherwise nice fragrance. It was mild but still enough to not want to wear it. Not giving up I decided to go with Winsome for obvious reasons. Not only is it a more well rounded scent than Suits but it also leaves out the gnarly plastic smell. Very happy with it so far. As of now it doesn’t appear to need much maceration but I’m still looking forward to wearing it once it has some more time to sit. It’s close enough to Tuxedo. Not quite 1:1 but the difference is negligible. I swear this stuff lasts longer and projects more than the OG too, which is always a huge plus. I recommend it!

Very similar to Moustache, and in turn, Tuxedo. On the opening if I was blind smelling them side by side I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between it + Moustache. Moustache is slightly more vanillic I suppose but that's about it. The dry down smells better to me on Tux than the Rochas, due to the lack of benzoin. It's airy-er and lighter. The original Tuxedo is still a step above in terms of smoothness and the beautiful floral aspect. It is not x10 as good however, as the price would have you believe. The base and general structure of all 3 is nearly identical and you get the DNA with any of them. You get 90% of the original with 1/10th the price if you go with the clones. Tux however really suffers in the performance aspect. In that regard, Moustache blows it out of the water. I will let my new bottle sit for a bit and revisit later, but it's quite pathetic as things stand.

This morning, there was a chill in the air, so I picked up a sweatshirt I had worn a few days ago, and it smelled AMAZING. So similar to a fragrance I loved, but was discontinued forever, Smell Bents Chile Vanilli. Racking my brain to figure out which fragrance I had sprayed that day, and comparing base notes, here's the culprit. The patchouli, spicy, vanilla combination is just so good. I'm not a big fan of the synthetic way this opens, or for how long that synthetic note sticks around, but the dry down is absolutely delicious with a slight root beer accord which I absolutely love. This is as close as I'm going to get to Chile Vanilli, and for the original price, you just can't beat it. However, word got out it was rated even higher than YSL Tuxedo, so stock up while it is still relatively cheap, because the price is going up quickly.

Haven't tried tuxedo, but this smells really good. Quality wise it competes with a lot of designer fragrances I've tried, the blend is great. To anyone who hasn't tried this, the scent profile definitely isn't for everyone, the patchouli really comes through in the opening and can be off putting to younger guys, though it is precisely what I've come to love about this scent, in the dry-down it's mostly spicy vanilla but you still get the patchouli subtly peaking through, on my skin I don't get much amber. It's hard to describe, but I would say there is this very balsamic, sour/herbal quality to this scent i really wasn't expecting when purchasing this, which I think could put some people off. Ideally try this before committing, but the price isn't high so there's not much risk. longevity and sillage is average.

I can’t help but write a second review because I was so amazed by this wonder. Among my dupe collections, this is so far the closest to the OG about 99% I must say. I’ve been collecting since 2017 and I love YSL Tuxedo but I can’t afford the price so I settled for a 5ml decant. Then when I blind bought this super gem, I was so delighted that to my nose, this one is better and yes so much cheaper with phenomenal performance. On my skin, the performance is superb and on cloth it lingers for a long time. If you love the original, it wouldn’t hurt to check this one at a price that will make you smile. 🙂 Other folks may have a totally different olfactory experience but scent is subjective so my respect to them. 10/10 according to my nose 👃

I have bought The Tux and used and also tested YSL Tuxedo on myself. The major difference is in the opening. Tux opens rather aggresively and sharp, the alcohol and spices are very prominent, later on it settles down into the sexy seductive patchouli. Tuxedo opens very smoothly without any rough edges and is much more delicate and sophisticated from the get-go. Then it settles down into the sexy seductive patchouli. There really is 90% match between these two and given that the major dirfference is in the opening that will depart rather quickly, I think buying the much cheaper Tux is very recommendable, you will get, for all intents nad purposes, the Tuxedo.

This is probably one of the best quality clones out there. Extremely close match to Tuxedo & the quality of ingredients is also top notch. You can not go wrong with the current price. It's hard to find on the discounters websites, but still worth the inflated prices on eBay at $50 to $60 for a bottle. If you can find it on the discounter websites, then you should be able to pick it up for around $20 - $30 for a bottle, which is a steal at that price. I truly believe that this is going to be one of the best clone sellers of 2023 & maybe 2024. As soon as it is in stock, it sells out the same day. That is how hot this great fragrance is.

Such an unbelievably amazing perfume. Really, it’s actually better than YSL Tuxedo and the performance compared to recent formulations of Tuxedo is substantially better. This is sex in a bottle. Warm ambery patchouli with some spices and a touch of vanilla. I can’t stop sniffing my arm with this one. Managed to get a bottle of this for a pretty cheap price and am so happy with it. It’s pretty linear from opening to dry down but who gives a shit. It’s amazing. Longevity and sillage are above average but not monsterous - and that is fine with me. This could be the greatest clone of a fragrance ever. 9.5/10!!!

Clone or not. This is quality stuff and bang for bucks. I live in Dubai. It is very affordable here. Got for 120 dhms roughly $ 35. Perfume doesn’t project well on my skin and I have noticed this all through out my last 10 years since I got into the world of perfume. This for some reason projects very well and I get both the green and boozy vibe. I hv ordered another one just so that I don’t run out on this. Also after some 10-20 sprays keep it in a fridge for a week inside the cover to sit and macerate for a while. I do the same for all perfume and have seen some perform better if not all.

Wow!!!!!! Well done on this one, I even love that bread note that the curcumin is creating, the booze and florals, gorgeous, gorgeous masculine sent thats super well blended.....this is a must have for men that love to dress like gentlemen and want to smell refined yet unique. I love this sent so much, it has become my staple, my wife is extremely sensitive to perfume, but this one she absolutely loves and can tolerate. I got about 10hrs from TUX, the age demographic I would say is 29 upwards and for refined, masculine men. But if you love it, rock it no matter what time or place

Never smelled the original Tuxedo but I can see why it's popular, I love this. My batch is new (Feb, 2023) and it smells great. I got this and Kismet Angel at the same time and this smells better than that imo. All my Lattafa fragrances have gotten better over time so I can't wait to see if this gets even better. Great scent. The opening is nice but the dry-down is the real star for me. Decent longevity and sillage. Great price (hate that $15 fragrancebuy shipping though). The bottle is gorgeous too. Would definitely recommend.

The smell of this is fantastic, It is incredibly addicting. Its a shame I can't wear it more often as I will admit it is very situational and not versatile at all. If you are one to dress up often or go to formal parties then 100% get this, it is so good. In terms of a clone of YSL Y Tuxedo, it does it insanely well, at least 90% similar. The performance in my experience isn't great, it lasts about 5 - 6 hours on my skin and projection is quite poor. However just for the smell alone, I can't go lower then a 7/10.

Total Snob Death. I'll put this as simply. After this dries down, absolutely no one will be able to tell the difference between this and tuxedo. Even side by side it's nearly imperceptible. Don't listen to the pretentious retards pretending that's anything but the case.The opening is different, but no one but you will ever smell that. Contrary to others, I find it projects exactly the same when I compare them, and they last about the same. 8~ hours for both on my skin. I'm never wasting money on tuxedo again.

An update from my March review: Damn ... That's good! Complex and VERY impressive. Think POWDER, PACHOULI and VANILLA mainly with a touch of wood and spice. Versatile but could be wasted on certain occasions - meaning, it is special. It's THAT GOOD! Endurance (8-12Hrs), projection and sillage are moderate. 5-7 sprays work well. Later in the evening it was smooth and sweeter than earlier. It gets noticed and complemented if you're into that. I also own YSL Tuxedo and they are practically identical.
