Woody Oud

---'Edit--- So when I firs got Maison Alhambra Woody Oud early last year, the performance was TRASH! Even when asking people around me, they couldn't even smell it after maybe 30 mins to 1 hr of wear which was a real bummer bc it smells great. So, I put my bottle away after wearing it a handfull of times. After a few months, tried it again just yesterday, and YUUUP, there was a clear improvement to the longevity/sillage. Now this frag is DEFINATELY NOT a "Beastmode scent", but it does have good longevity with intimate to moderate projection which imo is perfect for the office, plus I feel this is a "profesional businessman's" type of fragrance. I Also just wanna mention that Woody Oud is really easy to go anosmic too. I sprayed some on my shirt yesterday, and had trouble smelling it after a couple hours, and even when putting my nose up to where I'd sprayed on my shirt, I couldn't really pick it up much at all. Well, This mornimg I went to put that same shirt in the wash, and the smell of Woody Oud sssmacked me in the face when I pulled it out of the hamper (smelled great!). Just wanted to give my 2 cents on the "Maceration Improvements". Also, why are folks putting this fragrance down, smells about 1 to 1 to the Tom Ford, the only thing I can surmise is that some people are upset that they'vespent a RIDICULOUSamout on the Tom Ford, and now they feel ripped-off, but that ain't Lattafa's fault! I think Tom Ford has some "Splainin' to do" like, how on earth is a "Clone house" getting so close to their quality?? Prrretty suss if ya ask me! Lol! Anyhow, smells fantastic, but it would be nice if it was a stronger projector.! (Although I know the TF aint much better!) 😒 thanks to whomever took the time!

Was super skeptical on this... Having owned many Tom Fords and 3 OW, I can say this is good juice. Definitely not as smooth as Oud Wood but it does smell pretty darn good. Opens sharper than OW and synthetic but for the price what do you except.. After 5min it is nice and would be hard to tell in the air the difference, up close noticeable. In the drydown the oud is animalic with a somewhat fecal note, it's not bad or gross just something I pick up on and only up close. For the price I'm not sure I will ever buy Oud Wood again however I've heard they've had to discontinue the use of these bottles which sucks because I love the bottles! Oud Wood is one of only 5 Fragrances that I personally feel has an incredible opening that feels more than perfume. It is very hard to describe or put into words, so does this have that effect on me? ... Yes, it actually does albeit not the full monty. When I first apply this it does give me that ooooo feeling just not as strong as OW, I'd say 75% of the original wow factor. I've been lucky in the past to own hundreds of perfumes from TF, Creed, PDM, Amouage, Clive Christian, Xerjoff etc etc. Unfortunately I cannot justify it anymore. There are a couple from each house I do buy so is Oud Wood one of them? No. If financially I could justify it would I, Yes. So, considering all of this: Opening 8/10 Drydown 7.5/10 Overall Smell 9/10 Performance 7/10 Sillage 7/10 Price 10/10 Presentation 9/10 - lose of a point for unoriginal Versatility 8/10 Overall 8.1/10 - Worth a sniff 💯 Very good

My review is actually for Fragrance World's Oud Wonder. After smelling this one and the FW one, the FW is definitely better and higher quality. I get a solid 6-7 hours from it. It is a subtle fragrance, one of the best fall and winter work/office fragrances ever in my humble opinion. You really just smell like a CEO wearing this, it is a mature and refined scent, not for the younger crowd. Unless you want to seem older, then go for it. I really cannot describe the scent of it, it is simply amazing. I think it is more of a day scent than for night, but that is my opinion and in general it is quite versatile. You can dress this fragrance up or down, but personally it fits better if you are wearing business casual or nicer clothes. I imagine Patrick Bateman would wear this. I sprayed this on and went to sephora and sprayed the real TF Oud Wood on my other arm, and this is legit a 1 to 1 clone. Longevity and performance is about the same too. The real thing is not a stellar performing fragrance, especially for the price. It is a complete ripoff for the price, so getting a clone is absolutely the move to make. Just my opinion. The opening is harsher on the FW but after 20 minutes when it dries down it is 99% TF Oud Wood. Also, as with most of these clones it will smell better after you let it sit on your shelf a few months. The scent and longevity improved noticeably after I had it sit a few weeks. So for $25, yes this is a great value. Hope some people find this useful.

I bought this fragrance almost two years ago and while I was blown away with the accuracy of its attempt to clone the original Oud Woods sparkling, effervescent clean yet deep and dark woody opening and mid, Carved Oud and this brands clone of it "Crafted Oud" do a much better job at capturing that effervescent effect than this or the original Tom Ford fragrance does!!! And yet another problem I found about this fragrance is it's extremely unstable. While I have a pretty decent size collection and I call myself careful with all of what I own, I keep them in the dark and at a stable temperature, I went to apply Woody Oud the other day and it has completely turned. It's truly awful and no longer even remotely resembles the original fragrance whatsoever. I've never had another fragrance go bad, and I've got some discontinued hidden gems from well over 15 years ago and they're still in excellent condition scent wise, even the top notes. So I believe it's a problem with the formulation of this fragrance and I would recommend Crafted Oud from this brand as it's very similar but superior in every area including longevity and projection, and it's usually not much more expensive. For a little bit more than that you can get Lamasat Oud from Borouj, which is probably the highest end clone other than the ridiculously expensive one from Al Haramain, but it does proport to have nuclear performance.

I have very mixed feelings about this cologne. The original Oud Wood is my absolute favorite, handsdown. Then, this clone comes along. I would say it succeeded on copying the scents. Over 90% is similar to the og. The opening is just spot on. Extremely similar. I was like WTF? The dry-down comes a bit quicker than O.W and the complexity isn't there yet. The O.W's dry-down still has the rough edges with oriental herb vibe, but this clone's base note is very smooth and simple and more nutty. The originality, brand value, and small discrepancies in the scents could justify the well over the $300 price gap to some but not to everyone. This is a gogetter in late fall and winter. I gotta go grocery shopping, bam! I don't know what to wear to the office, bam. This clone does the job every time. But for the important personal/official events, I pull the trigger on the Oud Wood. The confidence, comfort, and satisfaction Oud Wood gives to me is not replaceable. Anyway, Woody Oud is absolutely amazing, and the price is incredible.

This fragrance is amazing! I honestly can't say how close it gets to the OG TF, but for people to say it's horrible, disgusting or any crazy negative things about this fragrance makes NO Sense! I can only surmise that those folks really hate clones of one of their fave fragrances and I sorta get it, it's kinda not fair that they would pay that much for a fragrance only to have a fabulous clone come out which emulates it and possibly de-values it. I would suggest that if they own the OG that they pick this one up as well so as to not waste the OG during everyday use but still smell great if they wanted to use a similar scent as a signature everyday scent. I've heard that the OG doesn't even bother with a pressurized atomizer which is sorta a slap in the face at that price point. MH Woody Oud smells so fresh, elegant and natural with no alcohol blast at the begining and picking this up is a total NO-BRAINER. It smells fabulous, and remember guys, we can't all afford 300 dollars + for a fragrance. Stop the hate!

This smells great on me, smooth and elegant and the farthest cry from the cheap bucks I paid for it. Those who claim this is disgusting are either burying their nose into their arms or over the sprayer, or just simply have no experience with oud (there's also a third, very likely, possibility that we all know, so I'm not going to repeat haha!). It also goes with the territory that this is not your average, grocery haul fragrance. You can easily put this on for a night out or a formal occasion and enjoy the boost of confidence! What's crazy is this is almost the same price as a burger meal, so if you're on the fence trying to make a decision through the reviews, just give it up and go for it: there'll be no regrets! The presentation alone is worth more than that!! :D Edit: 4 sprays on at 9am and I'm still catching whiffs of it around 6pm. So, it's not even poor performing. TBH, I don't even want anything to last longer than this on me, to make it easier to switch in the evening.

I love both TF Oud Wood and Versace Oud Noir, and this fragrance is becoming a new favorite among them. This smells fantastic. It has very strong similarities to Oud Wood. It's classy, warm, woody, and masculine. I honestly don't see the point in owning Oud Wood over this fragrance, given the shocking difference in price. I wear a lot of earthy tones (gray, brown, black, dark green) and this fragrance makes me smell how I look a lot of the time in the cooler weather. Perfect for tying up a nice outfit. Whilst having an air of sophistication, I have worn this with a flannel shirt, some jeans, and leather boots. Yet, the fragrance doesn't feel a single step out of place. Incredible scent for the working AND upper class, although the latter will most likely be going for the TF. For what you pay for (and then some) the fragrance smells absolutely fantastic. It's the only "oud" fragrance I own at this point. And I want for nothing.

Woody Oud is now "Dark Oud" in 2024. Same scent different name. Must have been a few lawyers involved....lol Beat TF Oud Wood dup I have tried. They even get the bleachy opening so prominent in the OG but it does calm down into a very masculine and classy male scent. Compared the two on each wrist and In the dry down DO becomes identical to TF to my nose but with a bit more performance and slightly stronger silage. It might be just a bit sweeter than the OG but of course because performance is amped a bit I might be getting a better whiff of the oud. Excellent silage and performance and have been told multiple times how good this smells. Warm Cambodian oud, slightly sweet and yet very masculine. I will wear this more often and not wring my hands at how much of my TF I have left and will not look back at not owning a larger bottle of the OG. Great replica of a world class fragrance. Scent 10/10 Performance 8/10 Price 10/10

Really glad I didn’t get rid of my bottle. It was one of my first purchases in my clone obsession. Two years ago, bought it, sprayed it, hated it, put it in the back of the closet. Fast forward 6 months ago, was speaking about it on Reddit and decided to give it another go. Still horrible to me. Here we are today, I heard Ash from GentsScents mention it and thought “what is the hype, it stinks” but curiosity got the best of me and I dug out the bottle again...and this time I’m blown away that I actually love it now. I don’t get the disgusting opening I got, I’m not repulsed by the oud, all I’m getting is slightly sweet woods from this. Can’t wait to wear it. I’m not a fan of oud normally but this along with Oud for Glory have flipped 180 to become fragrances I’m excited to wear in the cooler weather. TL;DR If you hate it fresh out the box, just sit on it and revisit.

I’m a big fan of the original so I’ve tried different clones. So far, the best is DUA’s Bois Oudh and based on compliments factor, power and projection, that little bottle for $36 (discount applied) is a beastly treasure. I’ve just ordered my fourth bottle 😉👍 but that’s according to my nose and my wallet. I seldom use the original but for special occasions. However sadly and admittedly, its longevity and projection lacks compared to the DUA clone. One time I sprayed some left overs of the clone on my throw pillows in the living room. Then the following day a visitor came by and asked me what’s that lovely smell. Among the clones that I tried, this Woody Oud runs second to DUA so you might wanna try that one and compare. If you like the original but you’re on a budget, it won’t hurt to try this one as well. Try before you buy. Good clone 👍 8/10

I don't believe anyone who claims they can distinguish this from the original. I have both; I couldn't distinguish them in a blind test, nor could anyone at the office, nor could the woman who has smelled the original on me every day for weeks. Considering the studies on sommeliers' inability to distinguish expensive and cheap wine--some couldn't even distinguish red from white when blindfolded--I think we're seeing a similar manifestation of your expectation dictating your perception. You know Oud Wood is more expensive, therefore it must be different than the bottle which costs 10% of its discounter price. It has a similar 4-5 hour longevity as Oud Wood, but considering the price of Woody Oud, having to reapply around lunch is less of an annoyance than it is with Oud Wood.

This is a pretty decent clone for the price. Although it does smell a bit chemical, it is done in the right way as the chemical aroma makes it smell more camphorous (which is my favorite thing about Oud Wood in the first place). Performance is okay at best, with 5 hour longevity if you're lucky. However, I overspray the hell out of this one on my clothes and can catch whiffs of it during the entire day. Carrying a small bottle to reapply would also be good but I can't be bothered. I also have Zeffiro Crafted Oud which is a bit airier and a bit smoother. I would say that this is more of a colder weather scent with Crafted being a more warmer weather scent. However, to my nose they are 90% similar and I have used both in cold and hot temperatures.

Not sure I will ever spend the money for a true Tom Ford fragrance, so with that being the case, Woody Oud has been a fantastic welcomed surprise. I got mine from Amazon for $23 and that's another reason why I'm digging this. The initial spray does have an unusual cherry-like smell that dominates, but after about 10-minutes I can't stop trying to smell myself! The sweetness moves into the background and the scent reminds me of getting into a high-end luxury vehicle with leather seats. I've only worn it a couple of times but I feel like I've averaged between 6-8 good hours. Love the rich woodiness with that slightly sweet undertone. Very masculine, not overbearing but does stand out.

It's an almost exact copy of Oud Wood. I would say 95% same in the drydown. Both fragrances are rather linear. Oud wood has a little more natural feel in the opening, you can smell the woody texture from the start while Woody Oud is rather synthetic in the opening, but that it's gone after 5 minutes and drydown is almost the same. Smelling it from uplcose it has a synthetic musk musk undertone (which Oud Would doesn't have) which makes it a little more hazy while Oud Wood is more clean and oily in the drydown. Has a little metallic smell if you smell it up close... but wearing it feels almost the same. The difference comes out when you smell it from 1cm from your skin.

If we lived in a society of perfumers, then probably with a little effort everyone would understand that this fragrance is not oud wood. But we do not live in such a society and anyone who is not a perfumer cannot understand the difference between woody oud and oud wood. I have not personally seen anyone in the subway sticking their nose to the skin of a stranger to determine the authenticity of a perfume.. That simple. All the rest is prejudice. I received it today and wore it together with oud wood and I can see that they smell exactly the same. I am not a perfumer either. Houston we have a problem, the western monopoly is collapsing.

Actually smells really good! If smelling it without Oud Wood present with which to compare I would swear that it is Oud Wood. However, in a side by side comparison it is not the same. But it’s close enough to pass as OW. OW is ‘denser’ and perhaps a little more refined.... Perhaps. However, Woody Oud projects more and is still really well made. And at a small fraction of the price I’d say I’d buy WO over OW any day. When I first ordered this I thought, “what am I doing? The last thing I need is another frag!” But I really wanted a good, inexpensive clone of Oud Wood. I wasn’t disappointed.

This dna really pisses me off! I LOVE the smell of Oud Wood/Woody Oud, but the dna is way too fleeting! I also have the Alt. Agar Gold (TF Oud Wood dupe) which is supposed to be an extrait de parfume, but I can barely smell that one aftet about an hour or so either! If I want any sort of (Noticable) sillage, then I have to layer Woody Oud over Alt. Agar Gold, and spray heavily ta boot! Im wondering if this fragrance is maybe easy to go noseblind to? Idk, but loving a scent this much when it doesnt seem to lasts is frustrating to say the least

This is the best Alhambra fragrance from the TF line. I have a decant of TF Oud Wood and the performance is a joke compared to this one. This is literally the same scent, you can’t distinguish them in the air. It’s not surprising because the original is pretty synthetic too but the blend is good. So about performance, it’s a lot better than the OG TF. This lasts at least 6 hours in the summer. The OG lasted 3 hours on me! Woody Oud is dirty cheap, performs twice as good as the original and literally smells like TF Oud Wood. No-brainer.

Smells pretty darn close to the original Tom Ford. I had a sample of the Tom Ford and absolutely fell in love with it. But I didn't want to spend the price on the authentic one. I got woody Oud by Maison Alhambra and it's by far one of my favorite top 10 fragrances. Some people may not like it but to me it's my signature scent and I absolutely love it. It reminds me of something and I don't know what but I absolutely love it. I love Woody fragrances and it's probably the only fragrance in my collection that has the biggest dent in it.

Bought this the second I found out it was being discontinued. First impressions are excellent. I know it is modeled off of the Tom ford but presentation is one of the best I’ve seen from a clone. Both the box and bottle look and feel high quality. The scent is instantly recognizable as an oud wood clone and gets surprisingly close. The Medicinal opening that I have off my skin with the Tom ford is toned down making it possibly a bit more wearable in my opinion. Overall this is an absolute steal for the price

This is almost spot on, just like their Portofino Neroli clone "Porto Neroli. First time I've ever reviewed a fragrance this fast. No maceration or anything and it's crazy smooth. I'd like to meet the people at Lattafa and personally shake their hands, they are the best to me. Rasasi and Armaf are close seconds. Al Haramain third. Literally wood and oud that gets a bit ambery from the Amberwood after about 30 minutes. Last maybe 3 hours so best for events unless you decant. 8.4/10 for me, amazing stuff.

Got the og tf ow, and now this,...and it is super close to the original for me. Only the first spray i got a bit of medicinal whiff,...but that was only once for me. I think it is worth every buck, and this is hands down a fantastic clone. I really almost can’t smell the difference with tf ow. I also don’t get the hate for this one. Maybe a bad batch,..but for me this is a keeper. No more ridiculous amounts of money for the ‘real’ stuff, which is crazy expensive imo. Great clone guys, just buy it.

For the price of one bottle of TF Oud Wood, you can add half a dozen bottles of Maison Alhambra, Lattafa, or Afnan fragrances to your shelf and get just as much performance and quality as the Prissy Sissy high-dollar Houses. The only way to distinguish between the TF and the Maison Alhambra in a blind test would be the 50/50 chance of picking the right one in a head-to-head comparison. I love TF but sold my bottle because they are indistinguishable. Do your wallet a favor and stick to the clones.

This clone is extremely close to the original. Honestly, I couldn’t detect any significant differences in the fragrances. I’ve only had the clone for a day, and so far the performance is comparable to the original. That being said, for the price, this clone is a must-buy if you enjoy the DNA. Update: upon smelling the original again, this lacks the complexity of the greenness and spices, so although it is close in the air, it is noticeably lower quality. Still not a bad buy for the price though.

It's hard to tell which reviews below are real and which are potentially paid? As an owner of both TF Oud Wood and This one I have sprayed them side by side one on each arm for a full wearing and I can tell you for certain (on my skin) that these are extremely close. The TF is better in my opinion but at a fraction of the cost if you are unwilling to shell out for TF this is totally a worth while substitute. It gives you 95% similar vibes and in my opinion lasts just as long and smells great.

ATTENTION. This things needs maceration. Talking about the fragrance, I've smelled Tom Ford's oud wood twice and I was blown away by the first sniff of it as it does a magnificent job at recreating that dusty creamy vibe. A beautiful blend of Cardamom blended with a sweet woody smell of a carpentry workshop. The downside maybe that for some people it might not perform at all at the beginning but as it undergoes maceration over 2-3 months properly, it becomes stronger and lasts longer

Im not sure why so many people complain about the ( Extremely Slight) " Fecal/ Barnyard" smell in the opening?? Thats what most "Real Oud" smells like! Now OFCOURSE there's ZERO Oud in Woody Oud, but I think its amazing how close thus gets to Oud Wood down to the slight Fecal opening which again is gone in no time! Its super smooth, no alchohol blast, I mean how are some bashing this fragrance. Now yeah, the performance sssssucks! But so does the Tom Ford, so there's THAT PART!

Intriguing smell. These are sweet fresh, clean and fragrant woods... no smoke, dryness or mustiness here. It smells like happy woods to me. I cannot stop thinking Pinocchio might smell like this or even Woody from Toy Story. Ha ha ha!! It’s a nice smell of woods....somewhat sweet, discreet and safe. The opening is really rough, but it mellows out rapidly. I don’t really feel the oud in this fragrance. Try it before buying. It is not safe to buy it blindly.

Well, with this one and many others by Maison Alhambra, they did a good job. I own OW TF and i like it too much, that i do not want to finish my 100ml bottle, because it's a bit expensive. So, i ordered this one, although I was a bit affraid from the bad reviews. So, this sh*t is really good, like really good....well there are some small differences,but i think you can ignore them. Performance is also good! Glad that i found something to replace it!:)

Great scent.. However I always allow all clone fragrances to macerate for a month or more before I can give my pennys worth review. I bought both Zaffiro Collection (crafted oud and Regale). All I can is woody oud is thick and rich whilst Crafted Oud is more airy and creamy. I use both zaffiro crafted & woody oud for Summer. They both suited for sunny days. Mind the number of sprayes. I doubt they will cut thru the cold days.

Have purchased this one AND Oud Wonder by Fragrance World, and I can honestly say this one is way lighter and doesn’t last nearly as long as the FW version. OG TF has that deeper, darker wood scent that FW copies so well. Longevity on that particular accord is longer lasting too... OG TF is of course going to beat them both out, but FragWorld wins in the “better than” Battle over Maison Alhambra’s.

Great clone of Oud Wood. Pretty much 90% similar. The opening is pretty much dead on, but i feel like it starts to smell just ever so slightly bitter and cheaper. Maybe a little less versatile than Oud Wood because if that. Atomizer is actually better than the original, which is quite funny. Nice packaging. Scent: 8/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 7/10 Versatility: 7/10 Price: 10/10 Overall: 7,8/10

First of all i have never smelled the OG TF. But man i dont know if its close as a clone or not, but it smells AMAZING! its one of my favorite aromas! The performance is ok, while it has macerated for a few months i can tell that it can last on skin for 6 hours while projection can be around 2 hours with minimal appliance.

I am judging this fragrance by itself and not in comparison to the original because i have not smelled it yet. Old money vibes. Very wearable in most situations except when under the sun. Woods and a little bit of spice, very good. 9/10 fragrance. Only wished it had better performance. For its price, it is worth the buy.

I love it. Too bad, it only lasted less than 3 hours top! The oud scent is not overbearing as I thought it would be. The agarwood scent is not too strong on me. It would be great for colder climate than warmer season. Performance is just ok for me as the scent faded in less than 3 hours - I have to reapply after.

I have grown to love this fragrance. I wore Woody Oud and TF Oud Wood side by side 2 weeks ago, and they are so similar that they could not be distinguished. I let the Woody Oud macerate to get to this point as it wasn't as similar to TF when it was new. Save the money and buy Woody Oud if you can find it!

It smells so luxurious for the price and i was speechless when i smelled it. Anyone who says it smell really bad (you can say it's not your taste, but you cant hate it) Obviously he's lying and didn't try it. Smells really nice in my opinion. Even though it is not a great performer (sits close on skin, lasts maybe 2-3h), the price/value on a bottle of this is really good. One thing I don't like is how similar this bottle looks to what it is supposed to imitate; I'd rather it not look like an outright dupe.

90% similar to oud wood, the 10% that its lacking is the depth of the smell.. that richness that oud wood has.. I don’t think any perfume could clone it. This is surprisingly long lasting and projects nicely. I guess we have to pay those 200$ to get that oud wood experience that lasts for 3-4 hours..

Very nice gentele fragrance. You cannot go wrong as a daily staple to wear, I would rebuy it again. For my nose it even smells more sophisticated than TF, which I judged as a Supermarket fragrance (again: to my nose). I would buy it again and gets a high recommendation from my end.

Very similar to the original, but the oud in this is quite a bit more animalic. I'm not used to animalic fragrances, but I actually find this more alluring and interesting than the current Oud Wood. I can see this being a bit more challenging to wear for some.

The opening is quite harsh, but the dry down is great. Very close to Oud Wood, but not exactly there. I was curious so I sprayed Woody Oud on one arm and Oud Wood on the other, then I had my girlfriend do a blind scent test. She preferred the Woody Oud.

I tried all of the Maison Alhambra TF line and this one is closest to real thing in my opinion. As it is so close to origininal, it brings major flaw with it and that is longevity. You have to reapply throughout the day. But overall its a ten for me.

I've owned my bottle for 8 months now. Maceration helped it quite a bit. Both sillage and longevity are both above average now. This is a sawdust type of oud. Not animalic at all. I get a good 7 to 8 hours with a beyond arms length sillage. 8.5/10.

I found the opening of Woody Oud too harsh to my nose; maybe I need to let it macerate. Otherwise, this is close to Oud Wood, although I find Oud Wood to be smooth and gentle to the nose. If you have never owned an Oud Wood, you won't even tell.

Dupe of TFOW. Since the scent is not powdery, so it can be wear almost in every season. The price are way more cheaper. What you expect from cheap fragrances? At least Woody Oud aka Dark Aoud wearable. Just overspray it on your shirt.

I really like this cologne. I've compared it to Oud wood by TF and it's nearly identical. I would say TF is more smoother, but the scent profile is there (This ones more on the sweeter side and isn't as dark as TF)

absolutely love this fragrance. Very strong from long distance, last me 8-12 hours with as lil as 3 sprays. 8.5/10 fragrance would not recommend to young people or people who don't like earthy scents like wood/oud!

Such a perfect cologne of TF Oud Wood. I have it and it's kind hard to tell which is which if you compare it one to one. Lattafa's one has a slightly better performance compared to TF. Packaging is very good.
