This one surprised me. Opens with a bright hit of blackcurrant and lemon that feels fresh without being sharp. The lily of the valley in the middle keeps it feminine but not overdone, and the caramel adds just enough warmth to make it interesting without going full dessert. The base is clean and grounded. Cedarwood and vetiver give it some depth and it lasts longer than you'd expect at this price point. Not a showstopper but a really solid everyday wear. The kind of fragrance you reach for without thinking about it.

The average nose won't be able to tell the diff between this & TDG in the air. Quality in this is so much better and they nailed the airy aspect of the scent profile.

I always have high expectations when it comes to this line specifically and this time they actually boosted performance big time.

Alittle bit more citrus in the opening compared to the OG but man this is an amazing fragrance. 10/10

I've asked like 4 different shops when they'll get it and they all basicaly said "idk". Wdym you don't know bro? Fucking order it already. So yeah, other people will definitely get this sooner than me. Right now, Maison Asrar is at the top regarding oil quality. Only French Avenue can go toe to toe with them, so unless French Avenue decides to also go for the Bal d'Afrique DNA. there will be no contender. As soon as I get mine, I'll also drop a first impression review.

A good track record gives you reason to expect Maison Asrar to be better, but you haven’t even tried either fragrances yet. So claiming Maison Asrar “wins by any metric” isn’t an objective comparison at all, it’s a prediction based on brand reputation and price. And if you’ve already decided Khadlaj loses before testing either, that’s bias, not objectivity. You can do better!

@ipurin Karus Gold Absolu goes for ~£17 on wholesale, while Belgravia is ~£23. Objectively, Maison Asrar is better since it has a higher price from the supplier -> which means higher price from the producer -> which means higher quality, and also a PROVEN track record with the past releases while Khadlaj is objectively mediocre at best. I don't need to buy Khadlaj to prove myself right. Maison Asrar wins by any metric.

@Dramaticlex judge it side by side, do not be loyal to the house but the perfumes themselves. that being said, khadlaj usually nails the scent but not the performance, while maison asrar is much more consistent throughout their portfolio. so if i were to bet on either of them, this would be my pick. though i have bujairami's too damn good as well.

I'm very satisfied with how long they last on me and I'd rather have a 10/10 quality middle eastern release rather than an eternal synthetic shit that lasts forever and gives me headaches like Afnan SCE or the trash from Ahmed al Maghribi.

Lemon, blackcurrant, "laundry - sunshiney florals" & vetiver, base is this cloudy musk which is slightly creamy and sweet which will reminds you of the sweetness that you get from BR540.
