Fakhama

Love Don’t Be Shy’s REDUCTIVE sister. There’s a “licorice note” in the opening that’s turning me off from this fragrance. I literally just opened the box to spray and smell this. I think I’ll sit on this for a bit, come back, and see if my opinion has changed. As of right now, I’m not impressed. The bottle is pretty and the juice look potent. I’m just not sold on this fragrance yet. My Second Take: Sooooo, I tried it again and I have to admit, in the dry down, I do smell similarities to Love Don’t Be Shy. I do smell that “licorice note” and I also get a big whiff of alcohol, at first spray. In this fragrance’s defense, I received this in the mail during a particularly cold day. As a matter of fact, my bottle was super cold (as if left in a refrigerator) when I first opened and unboxed it. Love dries down “syrupy” to my nose and Fakhama dries down more “powdery” (most likely due to MUSK being the sole bottom note). This a cute fragrance, I guess. I’ll reserve it as a “bed time scent”. My Third and Final Take: This fragrance has transformed from a "LIKE" to a "LOVE". While I admit, referring to this as "reductive' was a bit harsh. I don't nor shouldn't expect dupes to possess the same level of quality as the niche & designer fragrances that they are modelled after. The "licorice note", that I complained about in my first take, is now non-existent. As is the "the strong splash of alcohol in the beginning". This has transformed into a delicious and fluffy creamsicle of a fragrance. Although "marshmallow" is not actually listed (The official notes listed for this fragrance lists a "gourmand accord"), I still detect it despite the ambiguity of the official notes. I love By Kilian's Love Don't Be Shy, it's actually my signature scent. I am pleased to admit that, after all the dupes and imitators out there, this is a worthy contender. For those, like me, who own Love and don't like spraying frivolously because of the hefty price tag. This is a nice alternative.

Last update: Ok, I’m obsessed with this! It needed about a month to sit. I had ordered a sample of the OG LDBS and let me tell you!!! It is 1:1 exact!!! If you smell something different you have the nose of a dog that sniffs out drugs and dead bodies buried 13 feet deep because this.. is as close as it seems to get. (Unless someone knows of a better one then please do let me know because I’m obsessed with ldbs i may just splurge on the og)! I went ahead and also ordered the oakcha dupe of ldbs as well to layer them all for the most possible longevity and projection bc i cannot get enough to sniffing this around me all day! First request: yooooo sweet, almost like a medicinal sort of cough syrupy sweet. Kind of repulsed me. Thankfully my 13 year old daughter liked it. I guess it can also be described as a bit of an artificially flavored candy sweet. Update 3/27: i let it sit for a week. And today it is different. It’s slowly coming around, i don’t think it’s fully complete yet but it’s less cough syrup and more of a gourmand that doesn’t repulse me but i can tell it still needs more time. Maybe there is hope after all. It is true about the needing to sit thing. Update: 4/5 it’s coming around. It’s less cough syrup sickly sweet now but still sweet and very nice BUT it doesn’t last past 5 minutes so I’m going to continue to let it sit. I really wish i could try love don’t be shy but it is so expensive. I’m hoping this comes around to become something that lasts at least a few hours

Maison Asrar "Fakhama" is a beautiful perfume. I definitely get the By Kilian "Love Don't Be Shy" comparison much more so than I do with so many other LDBS clone perfumes. I own and LOVE Lattafa "Ansaam Gold," which I find more comparable to PDM "Oriana" versus LDBS. I do not find Fakhama similar to Ansaam Gold. Ansaam Gold is sweeter, fruitier and more intensely floral than Fakhama. Fakhama wears gourmand with lots of creamy vanilla upfront. Fakhama is a light 'n airy, ethereal, creamy, orange blossom fragrance. There are gentle, white florals buzzing in the background. Fakhama unfolds as a soft, creamy, heavy vanilla, mixed white floral, musky perfume. And there is NO marshmallow note (LDBS) in Fakhama. But Fakhama does have a gourmand accord, which adds a slightly edible characteristic. Having said this, I never found the marshmallow note in LDBS super-strong, or super-prominent, really. Fakhama is beautiful, it really is! I love it! Going to place this in time-out, see if the perfume's performance (longevity and projection) intensifies with time.

I LOVE this scent profile. That’s why I had to have it lol I tried LDBS and ended up purchasing Sintra by Memo Paris, it just smells better on my skin. Then I blind bought Melodie de Orientica which is almost identical to Sintra and similar to LDBS but costs 1/4 of the price. Great fragrance by the way. Fakhama also shares some similarities with 3 fragrances mentioned above. In my opinion it is lighter and less complex, but it doesn’t make it less enjoyable. It doesn’t smell synthetic nor cheap to me. Lasts longer on clothes ( a couple of days) than on my skin. It smells like berry-vanilla dessert to me. Not overly sweet. Don’t expect a beast mode from this, unless you spray a quarter of the bottle. The price is awesome. Just don’t expect it to be LDBS dupe if you love that fragrance. It is good on its own for this price.

This is a less powdery version of ansaam Gold. Its stronger and overall a better alternative than ansam Gold is. This does resembel oriana, but less fruity fresh. But it is identical to love dont be shy. I have this, riffs ciao and ansam Gold as i love this scent profile. Its much sweater than orianna, more dense and less airy. But it is still fluffy. The “gourmand Accord” comes of to me as sugary sweet caramel marshmellow with a little strawberry and maybe some whipped cream. Its probably the strengest dupe i have Tried for the oriana/ldbs Line and I Will be buying this as i like ldbs better than oriana. If you want oriana go for reyna, if you like love dont be shy opt for this or riffs ciao. Super impressed.

I originally got a travel size of LDBS but knew I’d burn through it pretty quickly, so I purchased Fakhama based off of a couple fragrance influencers. Before I sprayed on my skin, I smelled it on paper - it was identical to LDBS. When I sprayed it on skin, at first, the orange blossom was more prominent than the marshmallow/gourmand notes. Once I let it sit for a good 5-10 minutes, I couldn’t tell the difference between the two! LDBS is very slightly more marshmallow forward on me, but you really can’t tell that much. I wore LDBS to work then fakhama the next day, and all my coworkers said they smelled the same! Definitely worth purchasing if you love LDBS but don’t want to break the bank!

I am very familiar with LDBS: this is the best dupe, hands down, albeit not the closest. I have the older, darker formulation of LDBS. Comparison - Fakhama NEEDS to sit a few weeks/months. LDBS is a little smoother, but Fakhama is more rich and robust, almost creamy and I don't get the civet. Lasting power is very good once it matures. I'm addicted. - Dossier Floral Marshmallow is the closest to LDBS in scent, but a little lighter version. Lasting power is good but there's something kind of chemical-y in the background - Julianna's Perfume Night to Remember - also a good dupe but has more of the brand's signature floral that just isn't present in LDBS. Very strong and longlasting extrait.

When I first got this I was quite disappointed. It smelled so powdery and it gave me vibes of something like sweet powder milk, powder vanilla, and marshmallows. But I let it sit for a week and tested it again. The change was quite nice, now I could feel some honeysuckle, and that super powderiness tamed down a bit, no powder milk either. Now, after more than a month, I took it out again and I really like it. It's a powdery vanilla with marshmallows, lots of musk, bubblegum, and honeysuckle. It doesn't strike me as a gourmand. Quite innocent and playful, pleasant, but not my cup of tea. My mom is very fond of it though.

Holy Molly! I had a sample and decided to buy a full bottle which I received today and sprayed it about 3 hours ago. It's still there and it didn't even get to the dry down. I remember the sample lasting for at least 5 hours straight. It's a linear scent, very sweet, feminine, gourmand and flowery in the same time. Totally worth it. I bought mine for around 25 euro. Edit: I figured out what it reminded me of. I sprayed Devotion on my other hand and now, side by side with Fakhama, I sense some similarities.

This perfume is beautiful, its similar to lattafa ansaam gold but less powdery and creamier. Its very sweet you can smell the marshmallow, the orange blossom... i think its elegant, innocent and very femenine too. It's a linear fragance, its last 6-7h on me, but it has low proyection. i wish it has better sillage, it would be perfect... I hope gets better with time. but im impressive! its very lovely, highly recommend

A decent dupe but an even better standalone. I think I MIGHT like this better than LDBS. It's sweeter, deeper, slightly muskier than LDBS. It got smoother with some time. Lasting power is very good after a few months. I recommend it. The Dossier dupe is closer but this one is just richer, kind of sultry and spicy and lasts better. $33 on tiktok, free shipping

This is the only and best Kilian LDBS dupe out there. I have the original LDBS And compared them side by side. They are almost identical! Maybe kilian is slightly smoother but only if I am being picky. The rest of the dupes in this fluffy orange blossom family all smell like Oriana. This is the only syrupy marshmallo that smells like kilian.

Ok I was so excited to find it after searching for a dupe of love don’t be shy, because Daniel Rene recommends it I had to get it. The 1st spray of it id say 95% it’s so love don’t be shy there’s the 5% smells like it’s frizzy like sprite., but love it if my bottle of the original og is gone I don’t mind to use this one.

So this fragrance just proved that maturation / maceration is a thing. When I first got this it was so disappointing as it smelt revolting. But after three weeks it has turned into this beautiful marshmallow syrupy sweet scent that is to die for. I hope performance improves as it ages. 8/10.

I sprayed this perfume on my arm and didn't get much of a smell. I sprayed it in my washroom, left the house and when I came back home my washroom smelled so good. It is a very soft feminine scent. It was a blind buy based on Tiktok posts. No regrets. It's a lovely fragrance.

More linear than LDBS. Less eerie, more dense and syrupy. Same DNA but heavier. Instead of the neroli I can smell orange flower. Instead of straightforward marshmallow simply some sort of cake. Great longevity. Not bad, 7/10. Definitely worth the price LDBS 10/10

Idr what LDBS smells like, but this perfume is amazing! It’s so sweet and beautiful, floral and light. It would be a 10/10 if it lasted longer and projected more

If you’re into Kilian and LDBS dupes like I am, this one’s for you. This is one of many affordable (and sometimes even better) options without the huge price tag, so here’s my take on Fakhama for those looking for a cheaper LDBS alternative. Fakhama is pretty close to LDBS but with an extra powdery, musky twist that’s common with Arab perfumes. It reminds me of what my mom and aunts used to wear, but with that LDBS DNA mixed in. If you're into that classic scent but want something with a little more depth, this one's amazing. I have to mention that I also own the original LDBS, and I can confidently say that I prefer Fakhama. If you’re comparing it to other dupes like Dossier or Oakcha, here's my breakdown: Dossier: I wear this one too, and it’s definitely the safest bet. It’s lighter, less “in your face,” and a lot more crowd-pleasing. If you’re into that orange blossom, neroli, marshmallow combo, this is the one. It’s my go-to for an easy, no-brainer blind buy. Also a 1-1 copy of the original to my nose. 10/10. Oakcha: Honestly, this one’s a bummer. Smells nice on its own, but doesn’t even come close to LDBS. So if you're really chasing that specific scent profile, skip this. 4/10. Fakhama: This one's more of an acquired taste. If you’re into powdery, musky Arab fragrances, you’ll enjoy it. It projects like crazy (better than the OG and other dupes), but you’d need to be familiar with that distinct Arab fragrance signature to really appreciate it. For me, personally, it’s the most interesting one. 12/10.

Fakhama is a lovely, budget-friendly alternative to Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy, though it’s less sugary and gourmand. The caramel and rich floral‐sweetness are dialed down, and sadly, not very noticeable in this fragrance 🙁 The bottle is pretty and feels like a little vanity treat 💗 Surprisingly, the longevity is even stronger than LDBS on me, which is a total win if lasting power is important to you✨ It might not have that full-on marshmallow-candy vibe, but for the price, it’s a sweet, wearable choice. A better alternative imo is Ansaam Good by Lattafa

I have to disagree that this is an LDBS dupe - the two fragrances do not smell the same to me. I would categorize LDBS as a marshmallow perfume, while Fakhama is primarily floral. With that said, Fakhama is a BEAUTIFUL fragrance in its own right. I get a blend of orange blossom and star jasmine, which is known for having a vanilla-like smell. This reminds me of the springtime air in Southern California - star jasmine blooming on trellises all over the city with the breeze carrying in the scent of the rural orange and lemon groves.

ok this one is really nice, sweet fluffy floral marshmallow scent and a bit powdery. I had reyna as well, and they are similar but reyna is a loooot more powdery and less floral to me. I did get a headache from it so i gave it away and kept fakhama as it has a better balance to my nose. Its not projecting a whole lot but it does last quite a bit, probably time will improve that, will have to see but i recommend this for someone who likes sweet floral with a touch of marshmallows :)

I agree with Theoriginalldoll. Yes, it has similarities, especially in the opening, but the Kilian dna is very clearly missing in the drydown. Fakhama dry down is more powdery and less rich. Personally, I buy these inspirations (dupes) for when I kind of like a profile, but wont wear it often enough to purchase the OG. I do have a travel size OG to compare. I much prefer Kilian Can't Stop Loving You over LDBS hence, I didn't need the OG and purchased Fakhama instead.

This is pretty identical to Renya by Maison Alhambra but that one performs SO MUCH better than this. Renya projects WAY MORE, and lasts longer. This one seems to focus JUST a bit more on the whipped cream and marshmallow aspect, while Renya seems to focus more on that raspberry, the mandarin, and the Orange blossom.

LDBS, so if you enjoy that but don't like the price...this one will do! I get all day wear, but it does get softer after a few hours.

On me this scent was incredibly cloying. I smelled like I sprayed a cousin of scrubbing bubbles/citrus bathroom cleaner on me. It lasted through trying to scrub it off in the shower, and still managed to leave me with a migraine hours later. I feel alone in my dislike for this fragrance, but it was nauseating to me. I have admittedly not smelled LDBS, so there's a chance that scent DNA just isn't for me.

Is this an exact dupe for LDBS? Yes. And it smells like a caramelised floral marshmallow, so of course it’s lovely. But it lasts for max 2hrs and it’s gone. As in, no trace or proof you ever sprayed it and I’ve had it for a year now. Don’t know who these people marking it as long lasting with strong silage are, but they’re misleading.

The DNA is there but not quite. It is def heavier on the white florals, more "mature" and muted. For me it`s lacking that sexy, sweet marshmallow playfullness LDBS has. Performance is weak,fades fast. Dossier def is the closest dupe to the og until now, but sadly didn`t last on me either

I thought I’ll love it but this one is not for me I can definitely smell a wonderful marshmallow/meringue pie accord but orange blossom note feels kinda SOAPY on my skin Also the longevity isn’t that great

I dunno if I got a bad batch?? but this is giving me a really strong ‘urine’ smell on my skin. In the atomiser I basically get annam Gold No Kilian LDS no fluffy ness but the get IMO fruit old lady weird ness vibe like in Oriana which I’m not a fan of personally But this on skin smells straight up like urine. Actually almost urinals that nor been cleaned for weeks. I will give it week and come back to it as it only just arrived but at the moment ...unfortunately repulsive. And I was excited to receive as what I had heard from reviews was great.

I'm now certain that I really don't like fragrances in the oriental floral scent group that have the same DNA as Killian's Love Don't Be Shy. This is cloying and sharp to my nose which gives me a headache. This reminds me a lot of that smell from bowling ball grease. This does smell super close to the Dossier Floral Marshmallow, so if you love that, then you will also love this. The orange flowers are less strong in this one as Floral Marshmallow. I'm not a fan and I'm glad I sampled this first.

I have owned the Julianna’s dupe of ldbs and that one killed people around me when I wore it. I got negative comments every time I wore it. I had to stop wearing it. At one point the juice got so dark and dense I choked when I sprayed it. This is a different story. It’s the same scent but airier lighter, not fresher but not thick and dense. This is perfection when it comes to the ldbs profile. I just got it so I’m not sure about longevity and Silliage yet. But the scent is magic 10/10

I'm letting this one sit for a while before trying again, I don't like it right now, like at all. It smells like sweet tarts to my husband and to me it's just like a smelly sweet. I also didn't like the Sweet Addict perfume by Oakcha and that's what this smells like to me right now. I'm gumna let it macerate a while but if I still don't like it my 7 year old is getting it since she likes ridiculously candy scented sprays

Finally , fragrantica put Maison Asrar on the map! This a Love don't be shy dupe. Very sweet, marshmallow-y, the orange blossom is very nice and sweet. It's a linear scent, 6h longevity ,3h projection and for the price is a bargain. Between this, Lattafa Ansaam Gold and Riifs Ciao for woman, this is 80% close to LDBS. Lattafa Ansaam Gold is more powdery and Riifs is more smooth and closer to LDBS.

I’m coming to a conclusion that love don’t be shy can’t be duped! When you first spray this is it gives love don’t be shy! But in the dry down it starts to turn into its own scent. This smells like those valentines candy bracelets!!! It’s missing that Kilian DNA that they put in their perfumes.

I really wanna like this perfume, but unfortunately I had a headache from this, and I prefer more Ansaam gold by Lattafa that is a dupe cross between Oriana by Perfumes de Marly and Kilian - Love don't be shy. While Maison Asrar is a straight up dupe of Kilian - Love don't be shy scent.

I've tried various dupes of love don't be shy and this one is as far as my nose can tell an exact copy compared side by side. It has really good performance too. Definitely worth picking up for the $30 price. Also the bottle is beautiful in person and so is the juice

Just received this in the mail today it smells like wheat/barley and bubble gum. Sprayed half a dozen sprays and putting it away for a month. Maceration is everything, 1 month on it is sweet and fluffy.

It smell good but after 1 hour just disappears on my skin, people keep saying it's long lasting Very disappointed

This smells exactly like my beloved LDBS, lasts longer on me as well. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
