Fresh Iris

I would like to state that I love iris scents, from masculine to unisex. My favorite scent is Amouage Interlude Black Iris. Well, this scent is quite interesting. It opens with relatively feminine red fruit / cocoa / tonka bean notes, which is okay. Then, in the drydown, something really interesting starts. It changes to deep chocolate / smoke / moss / earthy base notes, which makes it really interesting. This gives the scent a distinctly masculine character, and this is where it really starts to resemble Black Iris. This scent needs time and needs to be macerated because it is a bit chunky at the beginning. But I wouldn't call it a 1 / 1 copy of Black Iris. Even then, it still has some softer, berry fruit character. A very interesting scent, definitely worth trying for those who like niche category scents. In terms of quality and durability, I think it is an AFNAN category, it doesn't give off the synthetic, cheap character at all. Thank you for reading. :)

Just recieved this Perfume today. First of all "Beautiful bottle ". Now the juice : of course I sprayed this about 15 times and we all know Middle Eastern perfumes need to macerate. I own over 100 bottles of Arabian Fragrances. Well I did try it on my skin too. By the notes I was very excited. By the title of this perfume FRESH IRIS , It does have a fresh earthly opening. Usually Iris brings a powdery soft note. Didn't get that. It has a Earthy dirt vibe. Herbal like. Kind of cleasner cleaning , hairspray . So disappointing. I don't get any red fruits, chocolate, tonka ,rose ( the pretty notes) Moss yes , saffron, yes , Ambergris yes. Musk can't detect either. This one" Has" to sit for all these combos to possibly bloom into something wearable. I feel its going to be more unisex . 60/40 split masculine leaning. But I'm ok if it warfs into something great. I've experienced it before. Thought I had a bummer and" Bam" it arrives. It also has that burnt rubber tinge tinge some middle eastern fragrances start with fingers crossed🤞🤞it will be a beauty...I can't rate it at all yet. If anyone has tryed it , let me know.
