Wood Intense

Just got it today. Doesn't smell anything special at the opening, smells of oud, woods and lavender, after 10-15 it changes completely to a nice powdery smell like ladies makeup and it's very smooth the woods and lavender takes back stage after 10-15 mins, last 6+hours on skin, first time projection is OK, it's not beast mode but it will get you noticed. After sitting it might get better, worth every penny.

I really dig this one. Have gotten great compliments with it too. A friend of mine, who loves Givenchy Reserve Privée, said ''You're wearing Givenchy! Or something close to it, what is it?''. Good performance too.

M-A-S-C-U-L-I-N-I-T-Y in a bottle. Woody, spicy, kind of cozy aura around it. Something is missing in the top notes though and I can’t put my nose on what. I feel the same about the OG to be honest. Base and middle notes are very good. I’ll eventually layer a more fruity scent on this one just out of curiosity, when I can find a suitable one. Recommendations welcomed. I wear it only in the office and had some compliments. 7,5/10 because of the price. 6/10 scentwise. (Those chains hanging on the bottle would better fit on a couple of ears)

It is agressive at start, but develops in something really amazing, has notes which I do not recognize, but like very very much. Used to be one of my favorites, weared it a lot and understood that it is not that nice. Unfortunately, it performs effectively only about an hour. After that only annoying lipstick smell remains

I regret buying it, absolutely terrible longevity. It completely disappears within 1-2 hours. Scent is ok, but there are better DHI clones.

The initial impression of Wood Intense is an aggressively sharp burst of synthetic spices, reminiscent of a floral oil-infused cleaning product gone rogue. Once this harsh initial cloud dissipates, the scent evokes the experience of opening a wooden drawer filled with cosmetics. Its powdery iris notes lend it a distinctly feminine character. The drydown becomes even more synthetic, to the point where the chemical aspect feels almost palpable in your mouth. Occasionally, a fresh and pleasant note emerges, but these moments are fleeting and rare — hardly enough to justify a purchase, though they introduce a glimmer of potential. After several hours, the scent becomes tolerable as the chemical sharpness fades practically entirely. Yet enduring such an unpleasant start and middle phase hardly seems worthwhile. Wood Intense fails to evoke any emotional response in me; it feels utterly nondescript. Projection is limited from the outset, and its longevity is modest. Letting the bottle rest for several months had no noticeable effect on the fragrance's performance or character. Ironically, the packaging is one of the fragrance's strongest aspects. While the bottle and atomizer are aesthetically pleasing and of high quality, their visual appeal is inconsequential given the poor quality and cheap impression of the scent itself. A glance at Fragrantica reveals Maison Asrar's laughable marketing tactics. Not long ago, their products were spammed with identical, AI-generated reviews, which moderators have since removed. Even the numerical ratings are artificially inflated by their fake accounts, making them unreliable. In my opinion, Maison Asrar is the worst brand among all Middle Eastern perfume houses I've tested. Out of 6 bottles from their parent company, Gulf Orchid, only one — Shaheen White — stood out. I found it even superior to Lattafa Maahir Legacy, a clone of the same scent. The rest were cheap, unpleasant creations closely reminiscent of those found in Chinese stores. I strongly discourage purchasing anything from this brand exclusively due to their cringeworthy practices. There's little distinctive about this fragrance. It might appeal to fans of lipstick-like DHI-type scents but would have benefited from a fresher, lighter profile and less synthetic composition. In my case, it went up for sale after resting over a few months and further testing.
