Ambre Chromatique

A very nice modern take on a classic amber fragrance. Where many older classic amber scents can turn more balsamic due to resins, this is nicely smoothed out. The vanilla works really well here. It isn’t heavy gourmand vanilla, but it makes this more wearable than many other ambers I’ve tried. The incense note is very noticeable, so keep that in mind if you dislike incense notes. The overall scent in the beginning does remind me of sniffing straight unlit amber incense sticks from a quality manufacturer. It dries down and looses a bit of smoke and gets a bit more vanilla heavy and sweeter, with a very nice spice. Though not a smell-alike at all, this gives me vibes of CK Obsession for women, only more unisex (I haven’t smelled the mens obsession in 20+ years so I don’t remember it well). The scent would have probably been considered a feminine perfume if it were released in the 80s or 90s, but alas todays crop of young women will hate this as it doesn’t smell like a vanilla gourmand, which seems to be the only type of scent that doesn’t utterly offend and outrage them. I’d consider Ambre Chromatique more unisex by modern standards. As a woman in my 30s I really like this. I’m not sure I’ll be adding it to my collection at this time as I have way too many perfumes already, and this scent feels better suited to colder weather and I live in a warm sunny desert. There’s something classic and addictive to this though. It’s comforting and nostalgic. I collect vintage perfumes but sometimes the quality of them and notes change slightly with age. This reminds me of what I’d smell if I found a bottle that was still true to the original formula. I feel like this scent is a warm hug. I tried a couple of Quentin Bisch’s other older amber scents and this blows all them out of the water. Overall a great quality fragrance. It isn’t as offensive-strong in terms of performance as others may have you believe. This has a very classic good quality performance, arms reach silage, and it lasts somewhere between “many hours” to “all day” to “my clothes and hair from yesterday still smell faintly of this” depending on climate, body chemistry, and how much you spray. Those who consider this “too strong” likely have distorted senses from only sampling whisper soft, short lived, trendy airy/sheer watered down fragrances and don’t understand the concept that true perfumes only need a few sprays and require a bit of time to dry down and develop their true fragrance. Overall I’m very impressed with everything from the Crivelli line I’ve sampled so far. Even the fragrances that weren’t “me” surprised me by being better than I imagined to the extent that I’d be happy to buy a FB of each one. The prices really aren’t too bad, considering every mainstream designer scent nowadays starts at $150-200 per bottle and requires overspraying if you want to smell them more than 1 hr or expect others to smell you too. Many niche scents seem to be just as bad if not worse, yet seem to cost $200-400+ nowadays. Maison Crivellis are at least strong and lasting so my bottles barely have a dent in them despite multiple wears, they last me forever! Just took another sniff and man this is good. Definitely recommend.

Amber Chromatique starts very green, a resinous fruity green. Almost like turpentine. It’s like what you’d smell after drilling holes in a healthy pine tree. It’s pretty intense and may drive some people away from this. But as the fragrance mellows, the volume gets turned down on the green resin and starts to slowly turn up on the amber. This is beautiful amber, featuring a lot of vanilla, that doesn’t depend on an overload of the newer amber fixative chemicals. Rather it’s made from labdanum and vanilla in the classic manner. If there’s ambroxan etc it’s kept to the bare minimum. The amber feels real, it feels natural, it feels genuine and so delicious. It is fruity and lightly spicy and one of the best ambers I’ve smelled in a perfume of the past few years. Add to this pink pepper which has featured throughout the life of this on the skin but shows itself more during the amber part than it did in the resiny opening and gives just the right amount of heat and pop to the cooler amber. Amber Chromatique lasts a very long time on skin, changing to a fruity vanilla after the first 7-8 hours or so. This stage is luscious but more of a skin scent. For the first several hours on the skin though it projects a lot. A whole lot. Despite this intense sillage, I think this one was made for the wearer, not anyone that might be smelling them. It’s pretty weird, it’s pretty wonderful, and it’s definitely not what you’d expect. Not what I expected, anyway. I find this to be really successful, unlike another Quentin Bisch creation, Guidance, that shares some notes with this and comes to mind when smelling it. In my opinion Amber Chromatique is better.

so many sentimental feelings towards this one... one of those indescribable scents, a true work of art, and the first full bottle of niche perfume I ever got! brings back memories of visiting Zgo in San Francisco before I got deeply invested in fragrance and being shown a thousand different perfumes trying to wrap my head around their alienlike qualities, what I enjoyed and what I didn’t. still happen to be in love with my purchase too! I’ve had my doubts at different points but have always come back around to loving it. it has an intimidating zingy or tart quality about it, I can’t tell if citrus is a phantom note I’m getting or if the color of the bottle is tricking my senses every time I wear it, but I picture there being a deep blood orange in this. I get lots of incense and pink pepper for sure, and I do get davana and amber, though those notes don’t really dominate in my opinion; they have equal presence, you can smell them if you try, but they’re not going to jump out at you and demand attention on their own. I get no vanilla, I wouldn’t doubt that it IS used, it's just that this is far too fruity, green, smoky and peppery for any real sweetness to radiate. still, it’s also not bitter or too overwhelming; it’s directly in the middle. it doesn't lean too far in any one direction, expertly blended. it’s warm but you still would not want to mess with a person who wears this, just a beautiful femme fatale kind of fragrance. I feel like warm and intimidating is a sensory combination I would love to evoke in a painting or something one day. note: do one spray, two sprays max. this shit is so, so strong and Will choke you out

This scent at first did not entirely convince me. A smoky opening for this kind of comfort fragrance seemed too far-fetched. Frankincense and pink pepper, an odd pairing to open the dances. Yet, over time, wearing Ambre Cromatique in various situations I began to love it, eventually becoming my favorite amber, ousting Serge Lutens' legendary Ambre Sultan. What was it that made this magic? Osmanthus, a flower with an incredible scent, creamy, fruity, with hints of apricot and milk, sweet and vaguely acidic, surprising protagonist of the heart of this creation that I do not refrain from calling a true masterpiece by the master Quentin Bisch, in an obvious state of grace. Its complex evolution slowly leads towards a sweet and resinous dryness, where benzoin marries with a stupendous vanilla. The balance of elements and passages are fluid, linked by a congruent and flowing narrative; the experience is delicate and enveloping, intimate, meditative and consoling. Compared to other creations of the Maison it has a lower projection capacity, which nevertheless lasts excellently. In cooler times it can be enjoyed at its best, perfectly unisex.

Around a year and a half ago, I bought the Chocs Olfactifs Discovery Set, and it came with a 1.5ml sample of Ambre Chromatique. It was one of the Maison Crivelli perfumes I hadn’t really heard much about at the time (I mainly bought the set to try the three ouds). On first sniff, I liked it, but I wouldn’t say I loved it. That changed around six months ago when I came back to it and was completely blown away by the dry down. Previously, I’d only really focused on the opening, but wow, that dry down was truly something special. Now, another six months later, I genuinely can’t get enough of it. I have to stop myself from buying a full bottle every day. Somehow, this tiny sample still hasn’t run out despite me constantly spraying a bit on my arm lol. Not only do I still love the dry down, but I now love every single phase of this fragrance. Even the opening, which I can understand some people finding a little harsh at first, has completely won me over. Truly a masterpiece of a scent. I’d highly recommend getting a decant and giving it a try.

Love hate relationship. Strong overpowering green notes and incense that almost made me regret my purchase but 10-15min later the fragrance develops and becomes intriguing, different and for me very seductive. The dry down is mesmerising sweet amber and bourbon vanilla with a hint of incense. The sillage is out of this world. An interesting quality of this fragrance also shows a delicious dimension in clothing. I left my shirt (with Ambre C) overnight in a closed room and next day when I walked in, I was stunned by the smell of the room, couldn’t figure out what it was at first, until I found my shirt giving the most intense and sweet essence. This perfume is a trip into the deep dangerous jungle of the Amazon (green, almost dangerous due the unknown) and then suddenly safely surrounded by the most seductive sweet fruits essence in a heavenly aroma of incense. What a trip...at the end it is definitely yes for me.

I feel that this is one of MC most underrated and less talked about fragrances. This is probably one of the most unique ambers and one of the few ambers that could be worn in warmer weather as well (have to try this first though). To me it is a very uplifting fragrance, incorporating dark/warm and brighter/cooler elements that make it all the more interesting. The incense is definitely prominent here, as is the amber which is resinous and not too sweet, but there is also a greenness and a fruitiness (probably from the osmanthus) that make it feel lighter than a usual amber. It truly feels like a colourful and happy fragrance to me, so the name is really fitting. Definitely sample first, but if you’re looking for a unique and different amber frangrance then this is a must try!

I find this fragrance to be quite fruity even if there isn't much in the listed notes that would suggest it would be. The fruit is far more what you get in the opening than incense or amber. The incense kicks in but it isn't trying to bear comparisons with numerous Filippo Sorcinelli fragrances or Heeley's Cardinal. Ambre Chromatique also has a healthy dose of vanilla, again this is not what most Churchy scents out there offer. The amber is of the fruity sort and it adds some grandeur to be sure. I would wear this in any season. Some might think it leans male but I find it unisex with good silage; it's longlasting. I put this into more of a fun fragrance rather than one that asks us to bow our heads in prayer.

the spicy herbal nature of the pink pepper, davana and osmanthus makes this an instant love for me. The incense note is definitely not as strong as i expected. It's a smidge smokey but nothing major. There's a resinous ambery vibe beneath the sweet herbal blend in the heart. This isn't a very woody fragrance to me, it's just soft, resinous, a touch herbal and a touch fruity. I'd almost say the davana is the star of the show in this fragrance, with the resinous sweet amber acting as the backup actor for it. To my nose, davana has a psychedelic vibe to it, this fragrance makes me think of a headshop sort of. In the best way possible. Unisex maybe leaning a smidge femme. Probably best suited for cold weather.

Another one of my favs from this house, I don't think you can go wrong with their red bottle line. Unlike patchouli magnetic, this one takes their time to attract you. They look like a cinnamon roll, they are a cinnamon roll. But sophisticated, and still multi-faceted. The incense and spice adds sex appeal to this soft scent. It's intimate and at the same time long-lasting. It's was my goto for last fall, and I can see myself reaching for it each autumn season. Cozy! Update: does really well in the cooler spring weather, it's the best its ever smelt to me... Update: I thought I grew out of my love for it, but I keep forgetting that this is only suitable for cool/colder weather.

Really nice spicy amber. It's doing something a little different here but the opening smells a little like OG Coco. Same family maybe cousins. It's really long lasting and the projection is fabulous. I sprayed it on my index finger because I was already wearing 1969 by Histoires. Only one spray and I could smell it when walking around from my finger. Smell 9.5/10 silliage 10/10 longevity 10/10 price 2/10. Price point turns this from love to like. I'm picking up a dupe instead of a FB 8/10 overall. I don't think it's a warm weather scent. Unisex but probably leans 'feminine' . Nice and spicy and not too sweet.

Ambre Chromatique’s opening is not as bold as Oud Maracuja or Oud Stallion, nor as sweet as Hibiscus Mahajad. Once it settles, a smoky blend of amber and vanilla emerges, creating a warm and elegant aura. Compared to the aforementioned fragrances, its sillage and longevity are more restrained. In terms of character, it leans between unisex and masculine, closer to unisex, yet still distant from feminine. Versatile enough for both day and night, it shines best in the cooler months of autumn and winter. While not among my top three from Maison Crivelli, it remains an enjoyable composition. Overall rating: 8/10

Fell in love with this fragrance on the first sniff. I finally decided that it was worth it to purchase the full size bottle(usually frugal with perfumes). Has been more than worth it! It is a very warm, comforting smell. To me it smells mostly like vanilla, with some interaction between spicy and maybe a touch of smokiness. As it dries down it becomes more of a clean scent to me, with that vanilla note still at the forefront. Has great staying power, and one spray is usually enough for me, although I tend to be conservative with usage overall. Love wearing this on nights out especially.

I smelled this yesterday at Selfridges in London and the sales associate claimed it was a Selfridges exclusive (not sure that's true though). It's really nice. When I read amber and vanilla I wasn't expecting anything special, but it is. I like how Maison Crivelli keeps surprising us. I'd have to smell it again to give a more detailed review, but t's quite unique and not in an aggressive or cloying way. It was a warm summer day actually, so I think this would be even better with slightly lower temperatures. It turned into a pleasant skin scent on my skin after just a couple of hours.

The first time spray was an absolute NO, both on card and on skin! I ended up tossing it aside for a few weeks. Then one magical night, it called out to me from the corner, and it wow'd me with a capital W!!! Up close, you might catch a warm amber-incense thread, but in the air it dissolves into something far less tangible. The drydown here is buzzy, electrical, humming. You don't get much "perfume" in the sillage, but it "does something" to your brain that triggers "what is this thing?" That is if you don't go overboard with how and how much you spray this...

Love at first spray. Very similar in vibe to Side Effect Initio. It smells like how I imagine spirituality: you want to dive into yourself and meditate, but at the same time, it's very sensual. A dark academia vibe: sophisticated and mystical. The components are blended very good, it's hard to distinguish the notes, although the note of incense is quite noticeable. Benzoin here is soft and doesn't overwhelm, as it often happens. The sillage and longevity are impressive, it survived a shower. The fragrance is a bold unisex. Love it!

I tried a sample few months back, I though it was nice. Tried again today, and bought a FB right away. I’m a fan on Maison crivelli, I own FB of Oud Maracuja (my staple scent) and ,despite being feminine leaning, I also own Tuberouse Astral. This and TA have an addictive quality to them, I can’t resist. Performance is undeniably excellent both in terms of silage as well as longevity, it is insanely persistent. Mr Bisch is not necessarily a crowd-pleaser but for those of us who enjoy is creations, this is one more delight.

I have recently received the Chocs Olfactifs discovery set, which I actually bought because I was curious about Hibiscus Mahajád and Oud Maracujá. Guess what: I don't really like the two perfumes so much, but I fell in love with Ambre ChromatiQue instead! The quality of the incense and amber is unmatched, while the pepper is just a pinch and gives an energetic twist to the recipe. Too elegant for everyday use, but I will nevertheless buy a full bottle and use the perfume under the appropriate circumstances.

Oh my. I tested this on my husband and... first it was just very smokey, but after some time it turned into this wonderful, warm, sophisticated and elegant scent... For my nose definitly for men. I love it very much somehow? I can't even tell you what I am smelling it's very unique for me (I'm no perfume expert). It smells just so... woody and warm, rich, sweet for sure but not too much. I want to eat that, you know. Gosh. My husband didn't like it, so it's love or hate with this one I think. 10/10 for me.

After Oud Maracujá this scent is my second from MC and I personally loved it, I would agree to those which smelled the pepper and actually it’s lovely with vanilla and amber, it reminds me my childhood which our grandmothers were preparing a peppery soup for winter times and I got that smell which was absolutely magnificent! It fits my skin very well and it lasts forever on clothes so be careful! I would say maybe benzoin is a bit too much but no, had it in 5ml tester but definitely will buy one..

Ambre ChromatiQue is a perfume for the senses, to evoke memories and places not to please the crowd. I find it attractive and magnetic but just to be enjoyed by myself. I don’t think I could pull this fragrance on social settings unless I refrain myself from spraying more than twice. A bit cloying at first but slowly it wraps you in a soft, velvet amber that feels like a cashmere throw. Definitely not a blind buy especially if you enjoy more popular or generic fragrances.

I love this fragrance!This is one of the best amber fragrances for me.This perfume reminds me of amber version on Valentino Uomo Noir Absolu. Great for fall and winter,but can be used in spring or summer nights.The performance is just excellent!!!I don't know who can rate this fragrance with low longevity and weak sillage as im looking at the votes.....

An absolutely stunning fragrance. From the very first spray, it opens with a mysterious smoky character that’s both unique and captivating. After a few minutes, it settles into a luxurious blend that reminds me of Amouage Guidance, wrapped in a beautifully crafted rich amber accord. Truly elegant and incredibly well done.

Gorgeous. The incense paired with the fruity, slightly leathery osmanthus and the sweetness of the vanilla is incredible. I love it! This is heavy on incense, fyi. The only negative thing I can say is that this is a full day commitment and I sometimes don't want a fragrance to last until I go to bed.

Lush ambers, Taueresque incense notes and nuclear sillage and longevity. I'm sure this beautiful Bisch creation is going to enter many a favorite list and hall of fame. If I would have an unlimited budget, I'd bathe in this, but for now, I'll just savour my 5ml sample for special moments.

Love this just got this yesterday it is such a bright amber smell with the incense and this fruity smell I get but it smells like cranberries a bit to my nose idk why but still very nice scent for the fall and winter times.

The best amber smell overall in my opinion. It does kind of have a mean big brother/cousin vibe which definitely works in its favor. It feels rude, but still in a loving manner. A warm banter put in a bottle.

Ok so at first the amber notes kicks and seems pretty linear, but the dry down it changes to a beautiful fruity charged almost electric lovely scent. Great niche fragrance that will last all day.

Beautiful depth and composition. The opening is intriguing, the dry down is classy and well rounded. Notes of amber, smoke, resins and dark fruit all combined into one elegant masterpiece. 10/10.

Maison Crivelli Ambre Chromatique is a really really good perfume. One of the best scents I have experienced within this price range. Amazing smell and is quite long-lasting too.

Salty Ambergris. Caramelly burboun. Smoke not so much tbh. One spray is enough for an entire night out. That last line I never thought I’d say about any perfume.

i love the brightness and heat of this. Quentin Bisch has such range! it’s like a whole other uplifting dimension of amber has been unlocked here,

This is so good! Definetely not for everyone - immediately after spraying I didn’t like it but once it settled.... 10/10!

Spicy, balsamic and a tiny bit fruity amber. Very good projection and longevity. I recommend this to all amber lovers.

I’m walking back with my tail between my legs regarding this one. I’ve deleted my old review, I used 1ml of my tester and was mixed but then rediscovered the last 1ml and have changed my mind. At first, I was very mixed and wrote this off as okay, I found it similar to the smell of outside a lush store. However, I came to appreciate this once I found the right occasions to wear it (for me, I discovered I love wearing this when I have a very busy day at work, such as running a big event or conference or before an important briefing) To me, it still smells like slightly sugary, fruity gummy worms (the davana dominates) and smooth, church incense as I said originally but now in an absolutely lovely way (if you can believe that.) I personally feel I needed to have adrenaline / anticipation to appreciate this properly, not being sat on my ass at home which is why I didn’t like it as much at first. It smells electric, invigorating and refreshing with the incense providing a don’t mess with me prowess and intricate depth. great for men and women. lasts ALL DAY and I mean that, even running around for 9 hours for an event, I can easily still smell this. The only reason this isn’t voted a love (it’s at the tip top of like) for me is I reserve that for perfume I will / must / really want to buy. I appreciate this a lot but I don’t need it. Very excellent and I highly recommend. One a secret daredevil should wear.

I personally like this scent as I have with all of Maison Crivelli's wonderful creations so far, but I can see how this would conflict with people and lead them to not like this, the Davana and Osmanthus could be perceived as medicinal to some but it doesn't smell too much like that to me, the Smoky incense from the opening stay in the DNA for most of the wearing too which enhances the scent profile in my opinion, in terms of the dry down it's mainly just benzoin with ambery notes for me. As is custom with other Maison Crivelli fragrances, this is quite potent and silage+projection are not a problem but this personally doesn't project as monstrously as Oud Maracuja/Stallion, that being said it still is quite strong, and Quentin Bisch did a good job constructing this fragrance from an artistic perspective. Final verdict is a personal 7.0 for me, It's not terrible by any means but If it had a bit more going on I think it would greatly benefit this fragrance, definitely my least favourite of the Crivelli fragrances.

Opened on me with a sharp clear amber perfume-y opening but morphed into what I'd describe as a candied pencil in the best way possible. There's something there that reminds me of cinnamon and soap at the same time. It's not my jam, but worth trying out if you're looking a darker style of perfume for your collection, given how much of a shapeshifter it is from all the mixed reviews here. On paper ^it lingered on that amber perfume-y direction, which feels like for me at least an old polished antique cabinet or armoire. The narrative of a jungle or forest I didn't find with this fragrance, but I do think it is particularly colorful/vibrant/chromatic for an amber scent if you've already smelled a few. Update after a few days, interesting it cuts straight into that sweet soapy part much faster? And I like it a bit more now hmmm dare I say I can see myself wearing this now

This is my second round of sampling this fragrance because I feel like the first time I jwasn’t picking up much of anything. For years I’ve been searching for the right amber. Most amber forward fragrances are just too powdery for me but Ambre ChromatiQue may be the one. It’s not smoky on me - I do smell a hint of powder but that’s only after my nose hunts for it. It smells BRIGHT and AMBERY and CLEAN and SMART ( if that makes sense ). Whoever is wearing this fragrance should come off as smart/ intelligent. It can be worn anytime but it’s not a stunner for the night time. I’m so satisfied that my nose is actually picking it up this second time around. I will be purchasing a full bottle ... side note: Maison Crivellis OUD MARACUJÁ is a crazzzzy fragrance, it is strong it is beautiful it is tipsy and bold. Bye!

I tend to go for big, bold florals, but lately I've been seeking out scents with a little more subtlety just to mix it up. Ambre Chromatique might just be my favorite of these experiments so far. For the first 10 minutes after spritzing it's a bit of a nose tickler, but as it dries down it envelops you in a warm, mellow sweetness that lingers for hours. It's got good projection without being too demanding, and I appreciate that I can continue to smell it on myself throughout the day, which isn't often the case with these kinds of perfume. I appreciated Papyrus Moleculaire from this house, which was also a complex and subtle scent, but where Papyrus has a dry, papery spice, Ambre Chromatique's spice is soft and warm. I think I'm going to need a bigger decant.

Let me start my review with a huge applause to Mr.bisch since it’s his first creation that I actually respect and like aside from the mainstream stuff he pumps all the time This is a nonconventional fragrance with some artistic approach that demands respect At the opening you get the mix of the incense and the amber that has a underlying undertone of fruits Yes it is strange that I get fruits but it’s my nose that does that and it reminds my slightly of wazamba my parfums empire Then the note that seams to annoy half the population the Davana Yes it is balsamic and sharp but I personally like it If you think that Davana is annoying wait till you try the peru balsam used in the rose scent by Guerlain Overall a good scent and a first like for Mr.bisch work

After falling head over heels for Hibiscus Mahajad (and absolutely hating Patchouli Magnetik) I was really looking forward to this release. Initial whiff of the bottle was not what I was expecting but after wearing it a few days it has really surprised me in a good way. It has all the great players for a autumn/winter scent, like vanilla, benzoin & amber, but it still is different. I have quite a few vanilla and/or amber frags and this one doesn't remind me of any of them! On me it really comes off as a clean vanilla/amber, not soapy or smoky but a warm fuzzy clean. Having said that, it is not a safe blind buy, i totally recommend getting the 5ml for 25€ and taking it for a spin first. Longevity and sillage are excellent, as with all their extraits.

An airy lactonic and spicy incense. not really an amber but a well-spiced incense, at first, then warmer, more welcoming and earthy, with other resins nicely worked as a jammy Lutens base like and with some slightly floral inflections, especially the osmanthus who combined with the vanilla distills a more and more intensive milky note sometimes even disturbing. A very tasty composition (and not chromatic) for those who are not afraid of being disgusted. Closer to a jam dipped in a Chaï, an Indian milk tea, than an amber rendering. Too light and skin close but with a good longevity, very nice anyway...was hoping for something more impressive

Upon opening it smells like an ambery cola. It’s rich, vanillic, and also has a punchy effervescence. I believe that is from the pink pepper. It smells like going up to the rim of a glass of freshly poured cola and taking a whiff. The incense here is not strong. Settles into a more benzoin-heavy scent with a balsamic quality. There's a bitter green element. In the drydown, I’m getting some peppery woods in the projection. It must be the akigala that’s listed on the Maison Crivelli site but not here. It settles to an ambery vanilla and weirdly enough I get the incense again, reminding me just a tiny bit of Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee.

OK so I decided to take a guess and write down what I smell on first sniff and here is what I am getting: melted butter, tobacco, labdanum, malt, amber, styrax, industrial notes. I am getting an oddly butyric, peaty/malty amber with some warm but almost simultaneously syrup-like medicinal (like almost in a cherry way) but also arrid tobacco notes. Olfactively I am intrigued; if you love traditional amber scents try this one for something that feels like a nod to its predecessors but with a *twist.* Personally, I can't see myself wearing this one, but I would likely recommend my friends who enjoy wearing amber scents.

This smells nice. It is not the most fantastic smelling scent, but it's interesting. I like how different it smells. It's hard to describe how the smell comes across to me, but my best description is that it's a resinous and slightly metallic amber. It's light and airy, and there's no sweetness. Add a tiny bit of a metallic edge and that's how I interpret this fragrance. In the opening, there is a little fruitiness, but that disappears quickly. With how airy this fragrance is, I can't tell how far it pushes, but this lasts a long time. Not many fragrances will last an entire night through slumber, but this one does.

At the opening, you can clearly detect notes of incense and pepper, while a light, sweet, herbal scent with a hint of alcohol gently reaches your nose. I think this comes from the davana note. You can detect amber deep down, but the davana note is very dominant. If you're expecting a sweet amber perfume, this isn't for you. As it dries down, the harshness fades, and it becomes softer. Don't make the mistake of spraying too much. Definitely use this perfume when you want to be noticed in cold weather. For me, it's a 7.5/10.
