Musc Nurāsana

The hype, I think, is justified. Musc Nurasana is really, really nice. The opening is a lot fresher than I was expecting. It goes down with a distinctive sheen on the skin as this is an Extrait de Parfum. The bergamot isn't sharp but does carry some cardamom in the top notes. At the heart, this is a musk and rose fragrance and these two accords go very nicely together in lock step, from a fresh opening with a bit of ginger in it, through a middle of some surprisingly light and airy incense, and into a rich base of tonka beans, some vaguely balsamic cistus and some Iso E Super, given the slightest little green tinge with some fir oil just at its peripheries. As we have come to expect from this house, Musc Nurasana is extremely finely blended. I find myself very much appreciating that it feels less complicated on the skin than it is, and the overall effect is slick as anything. I particularly enjoy the way the bergamot and ginger work with the incense in the background, like a chord change in the background of a song. As with pretty much every Crivelli fragrance I've tried, the beauty here is in the drydown. You get the musk right from the opening but it wafts and weaves as it dries down, flitting from the citrus then the incense to the tonka richness in a very dainty way. When it does dry down though, after around 90 minutes of wearing it, the effect is mesmerising because it very clearly evokes a very dear smell to me. Bear with me here. When my son was born, I used to sniff his head. If you've had kids, you know. The vernix caseosa smell of a baby's head is a very distinctive, super calming smell full of hormones. Musc Nurasana reminded me of how incredulous I was holding him for the first time. I remember going back to the recovery room while my partner was being looked after so well by the doctors, and the nurse asking me to take my t-shirt off and put on a stretchy sleeve top. She gently handed my baby son to me, less than half an hour old at that point, and slid him in between the sleeve and my chest. It is important for newborn babies to feel the sensation of their parents' skin against theirs and is referred to as "Kangaroo Care". I vividly recall holding him for the first time against my chest in the half light at 2am, smelling his head, just dazzled in the wonder of becoming the father I never thought I would or could ever be. The adrenalin and terror of the last hours and days just washed out of me then and there. There was no fear, no anxiety. Just love and pure wonder. That is what the smell of his head was to me. That is what Musc Nurasana reminds me of. Maybe it is a bit of a niche reference but it very vividly reminds me of that smell. Clean, natural, dazzling.... wonder. Layering suggestion: Try it as a base layer for something like Shalimar L'Essence by Guerlain, as the musk and the rose and incense in this will work very nicely with it, I think. Received a full bottle of this yesterday and gave it a full wearing. Maison Crivelli has delivered another masterpiece with this one, perhaps even surpassing it’s previous juggernaut releases like Hibiscus Mahajad, Oud Maracujá and Tubereuse Astral. With Musc Nurasana, perfumer Gaël Montero has managed an extraordinarily rare feat of creating a fragrance that is both airy and bright, yet intense at the same time. On first spray there are hints of similarity with Montero’s other creation for MC, Safran Secret (previously Ingredients 07/2012), but the similarity is fleeting and is probably a deliberate signature or DNA trail left by the perfumer. Seconds later the majesty of this creation unveils itself in a delightful bouquet of gorgeous roses and a touch of labdanum just underneath a light, ephemeral gossamer of bergamot and pink pepper, accentuating the freshness of the flowers as if they have just bloomed in the golden tincture of the first light of day. The scent is transcendental, evoking serenity and joy from pleasant things past (at least for me), while promising of wonderful things to come. While the florals linger, the musk makes its appearance accompanied by a humbled frankincense that’s happy to play second fiddle: discernable but by no means imposing. There is a slight creaminess in here that might be from the listed tonka and cardamom although I can’t say I can pick them out individually. But in this fragrance tableau, it is the top-billed musk and its faithful footmen of other ingredients that bring the heft to the entire composition, bringing the intensity while supporting and keeping the flowers alive and vibrant, without being overbearing. All the ingredients are well balanced and in perfect harmony here, adding to that sense of calmness and peace this fragrance brings to mind. In what is becoming a calling card of MC’s extraits, Musc Nurasana is an enormous fragrance with lingering sillage and astonishing longevity. On clothes it seems to be lasting well over 24 hours (with no signs of abating since I sprayed it on yesterday!). On skin, it also projects strongly, still quite detectable even after I showered. This is another winner for MC in my book. I’m glad I have a full bottle and I am certain I will be buying more as time goes by. (Official release and worldwide availability scheduled for 16April 2026). An immediate classic and masterpiece by Gaël Montero. 10/10 all around.

Crivelli are quite the darlings of the perfume world, now they are established seem to be pumping out the releases and this time they add a musk fragrance to their collection and if ever there was a way to access Matrix, Zion city that represents the dying embers of passion I have for perfume then a cozy musk like this will do it. And it’s lovely, opens with a nice, fresh tropical sort of fruity accord (apparently bergamot and ginger) which is fine and dandy and I can smell the musk base underneath just waiting to envelop and engulf and it doesn’t disappoint there either with a big lean into a robust yet soft and bearly sweet rose, reminiscent of what I consider one of the best modern, minimal yet ostentatious musks ‘The Musk’ by Essential parfums. Herein lies the problem and it’s not just with musk centred perfumes but with all genre defining tropes, when you’re paying nearly 400 quid for 100ml bottle you need innovation or even the slightest excuse to splash that kinda cash and I simply can’t justify it anymore. We have reached a pricing nadir which it’s hard or nigh on impossible to come back from. I’m not even prepared to contemplate clones as an alternative way of getting a piece of this action so thank god there are still a few bastions of quality and affordability left but there are in short supply. So yeah this dries down to a very, very strong but lovely scent and I can’t fault it, the opening is briefly fresh and interesting then the whole thing is relentless after that, in a good way but I could definitely see how this would be cloying and annoying. For me this aesthetic is exactly for the kinda person who loves LV perfumes and I guess if you can afford those then these are in your grasp as well. Layered, yet simple warm musks like these are basically a cheat code, a hack, but if you like fruity warm musks this is a superior one but in my opinion doesn’t justify the pricetag, but what fragrance does these days, if you can afford it great... go for it.

Musc Nurāsana is a quiet companion for those solo moments when you still don't want to be completely alone. It'll be gently there, without really demanding attention. No statement, no drama, no forced praise--just a soft hum that reminds you someone's always there for you. So, a perfect pick for solo mornings, walks, quiet resets and introspective evenings... Based on that, you may not reach for it often, but when you do, it will feel exactly right, not like much else out there... As far as the scent goes, this is essentially labdanum, frankincense and tonka, with a hint of rose that makes a cameo appearance in the middle but then very gently sashays away and fades into the late drydown. What sticks around though is more of the kind of soft pink rose petals preserved in resins, so don't be looking for a bright, jammy, floral rose in here. Some reviews mention metallic notes, which is that cool, mineral, slightly metallic sheen you'd get from the frankincense, particularly if you bury your nose in. As much as it allows for some freshness and levity in the scent profile, this is definitely not a close-up sniffer! I had this on out with a bit of sun warming things up and a bit of breeze moving things around, and it suffices to say I enjoyed every moment of it... Musc Nurāsana is not feminine by the scent itself, but it doesn’t project a defined masculine edge: it stays soft, neutral, and unobtrusive. Other than that, you can count on it to be pretty unisex.

“Don’t ever release anything because we already have x, y and z!!!!” - public sentiment. In a forum first, I’m annoyed at reviewers. I don’t care about all the YAP. This smells great. Comparison is the thief joy. Shut up already about other scents. Strong as F? Too strong? Good! I am so tired of beautiful scents that knock on the door and never enter the house or worse, stanky guests (Guidance) that never leave. I love that this is a powerhouse, can still smell it faintly on my dry skin even 12 1/2 hours later. Powdery rose (yes, Delina style but not as milky or sweet) and rich ginger & frankincense creates a “fresh roses left in a room that is burning citrus incense” image for the first 3 hours. BUT the musk creates a fresh baby powder-esqe note... then you also get whiffs of honeyed tonka? The late late dry is rose laundry powder and skin. Seriously all of that in one. Such a bundle of notes that should be a mess but it isn’t. It’s sensual yet fresh yet has sweet notes but is not a very sweet scent. I come up with a new adjective everytime I smell it. Full of depth and character and unisex leaning feminine. Just go in with an open mind. Not everything needs to be new. I’d rather this than some new starfruit-vanilla cookie soggy from a puddle but the puddle is boy tears and cement and random peach thrown in thing.

Performance is solid and long lasting, though its character is more about quiet elegance than projection. Some may find it reminiscent of the atmosphere of Amouage Existence or BDK Impadia, but with a softer, more approachable execution. If you do not own fragrances in this style, it is a smart and well crafted choice that simplifies the composition without losing its essence. Final verdict A beautifully composed, comforting fragrance, refined, balanced, and an intelligent choice if you are looking for something clean, calm, and effortlessly wearable.

Finally got my 5ml, It strongly ressemble Impadia by BDK for me (I don't like speaking in % but here it's a good 85% , and I have one on each hand at the moment) So I really like the scent but I feel like I already have it... On the differences this one is more fresh, at first smell I thought less potent but it definitely last longer. I thought it would be too feminine but it's pretty unisex, very good spring scent if you ask me, the drydown is all about musk a little warmer but still a bit spicy, nice one ! So overall very very nice but check-out Impadia before, it might be a better value. (side note : I could have swear it has akigalawood in it, and it's very Jordi Fernandez style of perfumery, I will definitely check out other creation by that perfumer I didn't knew about). Edit : alright so G.Montero is a Givaudan parfumer that explains the similarities in composition I guess ^^'

A fresh unisex rose. Starts off with a clean soap-like accord where the Bergamot & Ginger at the top gives it the freshness to wear in the heat of spring and summer. This can be worn day or night as the Frankinsence, Labdanum, & Tonka Bean as it gets to the middle and end give it the formality to wear to an evening Dinner. These notes also provide masculine appeal if you were a man who thinks seeing Rose in a notes sheet is feminine. Unlike Delina or Atomic Rose this isnt a rose thats strictly aimed at a young woman. This has that same appeal of Portrait of Lady yet doesnt feel as dated. Its a more modern iteration of that. To go back to the Frankinsence and Labdanum it also provides a smokey incense vibe, however its not that deep into the realm of the Church frags. Lasts all day, great sillage. It has gotten me compliments.

Firstly, I liked it well enough to buy a bottle. This is a really lovely, spicy not-so-typical rose scent that dries soapy and has all the lasting power you could want. Lasts days on paper, projects for hours on skin - anything over 3 sprays and you’ll be noseblind with the start of a headache. I received positive feedback on it from multiple people during my first handful of wears. Definitely announces you more than you might realise. You’ll mainly get peppery ginger and a gentle but confident frankincense spice before a rich, soapy rose takes the spotlight. This is not a girlish floral and I find it largely unisex. The fragrance itself would receive an 8/10 from me. It’s not incredibly complex but offers a powerful, almost sultry take on rose with a beautiful dose of spices that floats eagerly from the skin.

Não é um perfume de compras às cegas, está longe de ser. É um perfume adulto no sentido de trazer maturidade, nada vintage. É lindo!

The fragrance is undeniably very multifaceted. I wouldn’t say it directly reminds me of anything specific ,yes you can catch echoes of familiar compositions that have already been mentioned in the comments below, but it still confidently maintains its own distinctive character. To me, it opens as mineral, airy and slightly lemonade-like. It brings to mind a tonic infused with rose petals. The scent plays with different facets: at times a soft pine-like freshness comes through, then a delicate citrusy tang appears, followed by a very gentle, refined sweetness. It is constantly evolving, and it’s genuinely fascinating to observe its development. You want to keep catching it in the air and breathe it in more deeply. In my opinion, it’s a very beautiful, unusual and captivating fragrance 👌🏻

BE CAREFUL : This fragrance has a NUCLEAR projection. I was used to other fragrances, with less projection, I oversprayed it in the office - it caused my coworker to sneeze and open the window, she even asked me if the soap smell was from me ! So clearly, not a fragrance to go to closed spaces / work, unless you spray it very carefully ! Nevertheless, this scent is AMAZING, addictive, rich, complex, perfect for all the seasons in my opinion. It has to be a perfect fragrance for date, special events, you will leave a strong impress. I really smell the musk, the rose also, but the bergamot does not exists on my skin, maybe it's just me ! But still a very good perfume, ultra long-lasting and room-filling for sure. It tends to stay on clothes after washing, so be careful of that too.

To share my observations on similarities to Purpose 50, I'm wearing each on one arm: They open with similar vibes, but then P50 remains more incensey/metallic while MN drifts into cardamom/rose/musk in the mid. After an hour, they drift back surprisingly close into the incense + labdanum territory. While MN retains relatively less of its airy qualities in the drydown compared to P50, their sillage is mostly indistinguishable, except that MN projects harder and farther! Now, do you need both in your collection? I'd say no, unless you are the kind of wearer that disproportionately weights the first one hour of your wear against the next 6. Otherwise, you won't realistically be able to tell which one you're wearing 2 hours in.

This one opens a bit like grapefruit. I'm normally not into this note, but this is different, its actually very pleasant. Not much later, the citral separates from the ginger and that grapefruit is totally gone, and omg this is wonderful if you like ginger! The rose is beautiful with the musk in the background, a perfect blend. Very uplifting, fresh, and clean, and the tonka bean isnt sweet at all. fresh washed sheets with a labdanum touch what gives on some way a bit churchy vibe, very wearable also in summertime. And yes it is expensive, but this perfume is pure power, 3 days later and I still can notice this one around me. Absolutely recommended!

On my skin-nose rose >frank >musk, I don't feel any resemblance to guidance, this rose resembles more from old ysl blouse with an amped frank and musk but in a smooth rounded way. More effeminate in my opinion but no problem using it as a man. I can feel the amouage level frankincense in this that why most amouage lovers will linked it back. Good job MC this house have never let me down ever. Loved every extraits you made. At dry down although amber is not a note here, I get a more tone down less spiced amber chromatique with rose. On my skin-nose the frankincense ambery rose is more prominent.

Musc Nurasana is a beautiful clean scent with a soft creamy nuance that makes it feel smooth and comforting rather than sharp or overly soapy. It has an elegant musky freshness that stays refined and airy while still feeling warm on the skin. The blend feels polished and calming, with a long-lasting trail that remains noticeable for hours without becoming overwhelming. It does carry a resemblance to Amouage Existence in the way the musk feels serene, creamy, and quietly sophisticated. This perfume, in my opinion, is the best creation so far from Maison Crivelli.

Wow, I am so impressed with Musc Nurasana! It’s a gorgeous, sexy musk with a subtle touch of jammy rose that manages to feel both elegant and playfully intimate. It’s the perfect year round scent and 100% safe for a blind buy. If you love Phlur Missing Person, you definitely need to try this. It is both soft and intense. Totally intoxicating. Finally got the chance to compare this to Amouage Existence. The rose in Musc Nurasana is done way better. The ambergris in Existence adds a salty quality to the blend. This is the better of the two fragrances IMO.

A fresh floral fragrance with a clean and uplifting character. Easy to wear, very pleasant, and ideal for summer with a nice balance of floral and citrus notes. The longevity is quite good and the sillage stays moderate, making it versatile and comfortable for everyday use. It doesn’t reach the masterpiece level of Tuberosa Astrale or Hibiscus Mahajád, but it still feels like a quality creation with a rich, elegant vibe. Definitely worth it, especially in the 1.7 oz size even reminds me a little of Existence by Amouage.

Peachy rose with aldehydes contrasted against warmth and spices. When you think there is nothing new under the sun, Maison Criveli releases this award winning masterpiece! 🤍✨ this is perfection, it combines floral, fruity, clean and sweet aspects in a perfect balance. Maybe I should stop sampling Maison Crivelli fragrances because so many of them are just so beautiful and unique and make me want full bottles. Does this smell like Guidance? Sort of, if Guidance didn’t smell like a public restroom and instead had a beautiful sparkling incense character to its musk. So many fragrances do musk wrong. This is musk done right.

A beautiful mix of rose and incense with a hint of clean musk in the background, perfectly unisex and in my opinion it suits warmer weather more than cold weather. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Amouage released this under their brand. It has an addicting smell that makes me want you to smell my wrists over and over as well!

I just received a sample of this and immediately purchased a full bottle. This is worth every penny imo. A beautifully blended fragrance that is everything wrapped into one. Spicy, deep, airy, musky, juicy, floral. It’s just stunning to my nose. I adore this and will definitely gate keep this one for a bit.

Okay I LOVE this perfume. Soapy but not in a bubble bath way. The incense is heavy, reminding me of CDG Avignon but less intense. The ginger note is amazing, it gives the scent a feminine almost fizzy- fruity quality which takes away from the heavy incense. Literally my dream scent.

This is beautiful!!! They got it absolutely right. It’s not Guidance or Existence or Impadia. It’s stunningly strong but soft and crisp and cosy all at the same time. Superbly balanced. Not too spicy and not too much rose. I feel like this is absolutely me ❤️

I might not really adore the heavy rose note here, which to me, may lean a bit too feminine, except that, this is my fav fragrance now If you like very soapy, chemical and heavy fragrances, you should definitely give it a try, especially amouage lovers

This is a beautifully blended musk. The one that lingers around you and your clothes. Is inofensive and angelic,but also, freahly washed white laundry type. It is mature, not playfull. Perfect to cuddle inside the sheets on a spring rain

Nice fizzy rose fragrance. Smells beautiful and the opening is just unforgettable. After 8.5 hours friend can still smell me from his car 5-10 feet away. Can be smelled ~20 hours on my skin. Very expensive but amazing performance overall

Clean, fresh and very sophisticated! Beautiful development through and through. Definitely looking into a full bottle of this to alternate with Musk Therapy Initio and Love-O-Matic Room 1015, whic are my go-to clean scents!

It’s a well-rounded fragrance with a lot of depth. While it may remind you slightly of some familiar scents, it still stands out with its own unique character. Overall, it’s a solid perfume and definitely worth having.

for those who havent had the privledge of smelling this, its reminiscent of sospiro vibrato with a much soapier dry down. almost like a floral lemonade body wash. lasts 12h+ and punches off the skin really nicely.

Amazing daily mostly for hot weather

Strong, fresh, vivid opener that is quickly followed by a rosey, squeaky-clean dry down. Once the fragrance settles, the entirely friendly (some would say inoffensive) musky undertones surface and stick around until the end, contrasting nicely with the powdery rose. For the first minutes, Musc Nurāsana smells like a luxury garden; subsequently, it settles into smelling like a very expensive soap. -> Positives: lush, well-balanced, addictive. Disarming opener pulls you into a very smooth, elegant dry-down. Luxurious, bordering on opulent, especially during the first third of its lifespan. Lasts a long time, will stand out and make others notice you. -> Meh: clean to the point of aggression; one of the very few perfumes I've ever tried that actually made me sneeze - not just once, but several times. As it was settling into the dry down, it almost had my eyes watering too. Caveat-wise, despite its freshness and cleanness, Musc Nurāsana's longevity and progression are bolstered at the direct expense of its versatility. As a scent it thematically works for summer, but it tends to turn into a territorial beast the moment you walk into a closed space; don't let its beaming opener fool you, because this fragrance is a velvet glove over an iron fist. ☀︎ Gender: unisex, leaning mature feminine. Can definitely be rocked by a confident and/or elegant man. ☀︎ Seasons: anytime but winter. ☀︎ Most appropriate for: special events/occasions, situations requiring formal wear, making an impression, dates & romantic settings, holidays. ☀︎ Wearability: open spaces, preferably. Wouldn't recommend for smaller office spaces. ☀︎ Value for money: decent at best (if you're a fan of this profile). Otherwise, I would hold my horses until I could get it for cheaper. Overall: 7/10 for me.

I blind bought this and as a certified rose hater, began to worry as I waited for my bottle and read the reviews. I wasn’t overly keen when it arrived but it was too soon to judge. It’s still only day two, but my opinion has already changed. This is already becoming a love! If you hate rose forward fragrances like me, don’t be afraid to test this one. While I can smell the rose throughout the wear, it isn't as rose heavy as some reviews would lead you to believe. Musc Nurasana opens with a light and fresh mix of bergamot and rose. As it drys down, the rose becomes infused with the spices and incense giving it a musky warmth. This is a really beautiful and easy to wear scent. It’s fresh but also warm and comforting. It’s also very long lasting, as you’d expect from MC. It’s light enough for every day use, office or night out. When I initially got this I felt it was feminine leaning and the rose in the opening reminded me of Delina, which is a scent I personally hate with a passion! Now the fragrance is beginning to recover from shipping, the notes are starting to settle into each other and I don’t get this similarity at all. This is definitely a unisex scent. Musc Nurasana doesn’t have the wow factor Hibiscus Mahajad and oud Maracuja have. Those are both very unique, stand out fragrances. To my nose this has no similarity to any Amouage, Guidance or impadia. I personally find this in the realm of my only other two favourite rose scents: Fetiche La rose which is still different with the added black cherry; and Atomic Rose which has a bit more rose than Musc Nurasana. Either way Musc Nurasana is a beautiful creation and will be joining my favourites.

A fragrance you can wear all year round. You can make out the top notes right when you first spray it, but they don’t last very long. After that, they give way to a dominant scent of rose and musk. To be honest, I have to say I didn’t really like the rose being so overpowering. As for whether you should buy it: if you love roses, you definitely should. The sillage and longevity are already exceptional for this brand. If the rose scent weren’t so overpowering, I might have considered buying the full-size bottle.

This ate everything else I tried at the shop, pierced through my nose swallowing everything.. I liked other scents more, but this just dominated them jeez. Guidances little sister, I really don’t think we needed both, insane how similar they are to me! Very clean, very soapy, very old school lotion. Finally when musc nurAsana settles down you see why it is called an asana, incense and labdanum paint the picture of yoga and meditation and there it differs from Guidance ✨

Spicy rose with citrus and incense with character. Diffusive smoky notes and musks come through with ginger adding a sharper biting edge. The citrus fades (too) fast on my skin, the rose turns drier and more incense-driven, but not too church-like. Then the base settles in, warmer and more resinous, softening the whole with great performance. A bit surprising at first, so it took me a few wears to get used to it and really start enjoying it.

Spicy rose incense and musk. The first few hours can be way too strong of a projection so i feel like it suits the colder weather better. It has great longevity as it lasted me all day. The best part is when it turned into a beautiful sweet musky dry down. It was not an instant love for me, but it is slowly growing on me!

I love it but l have existence it smells almost similar with some kind of sweetness. I will keep existence as it will be like owning the same thing . I don’t get any reminders of guidance when l smell this . But l would say it’s beautiful and long lasting

Bergamot, Cardamom, Rose & Musk, really well made, I quite like it, slightly unique, but still clean and lovely, turns a bit soapy in the drydown. The quality is unquestionably extremely high compared to a lot of other perfumery, designer and niche both.

It smells like a church but in a good way. Not a heavy church air but rather a lighter version of it. Kind of nostalgic in a a way. Though I like it, I wouldn't want to wear it right now. I feel like a chique woman of 40+ years would rock this.
