Oud Cadenza

Having tried what is arguably the brand’s most well-known offering, Oud Maracuja, I wanted to explore more of Maison Crivelli’s offerings—starting with a 5ml decant of Oud Cadenza from a trustworthy source. WOW. There’s a lot going on in this fragrance, and it’s genuinely difficult to do it full justice in writing. The level of complexity and blending here is absolutely top-tier, and from the very first moments I’m completely hooked. I’ll try to explain what I experience... It opens with a vibrant yet almost dark, resinous oud that feels refined and polished rather than raw or animalic. It’s beautifully mellowed by saffron and a natural-feeling sweetness that prevents things from becoming heavy or oppressive. Much like Oud Maracuja, there’s a sense of contrast here ... brightness against darkness ... but the execution is very different. Unlike Oud Maracuja, there is no fruity passionfruit note. Instead, the sweetness comes from dates, caramel, and sugar cane. Together, they complement the oud incredibly well and make the composition utterly irresistible. As it develops, the fragrance becomes increasingly textural and nuanced. The sweetness never turns gourmand or overly sugary, bitter, or too strong; instead, it feels seamlessly woven into the composition, supporting the oud rather than competing with it. In the dry-down, the fragrance settles with touches of vanilla, tonka, and the slightest buttery nuance, yet the oud and its perfectly balanced sweetness clearly remain the stars of the show. My review doesn’t do this fragrance justice. Please go and try it. It’s an experience. It won’t be for everyone, but if you have the nose to appreciate complex and yet perfectly balanced oud fragrances, Oud Cadenza is sure to delight. An exceptional composition, and a reminder of just what Jordi Fernandez is capable of when the materials, ingredients, and budget are worthy of the Maison Crivelli name. Is it better than Oud Maracuja? There is no better. They are simply different expressions both standing among the greatest examples of how oud can be presented in the most beautiful, artistic and pleasurable way.

The first time I smelt Oud Cadenza I was in awe. This Harrods exclusive is extraordinary. Prior to this, I wasn’t ever a really huge fan of Madison Curveili. Oud Maracuja in my opinion felt overhyped and didn’t blow me away while hibiscus didn’t really attract my attention. However this is a masterpiece! Oud Cadenza takes my favorite notes and blends it all togethor. The gourmond yet dark and Oudy scent is soo captivating and addicting. Both my favorite notes of cinnamon and oud is perfectly blended in this scent. Oud Cadenza opens up with a more gourmond scent with a strong cinnamon and nutmeg note, you can get some of the sweetness from the saffron and a tiny bit of spice from the pepper. Then once it dries down it changes to a this dark, masculine, gourmond scent. It’s a unique take on the middle eastern scent but it works perfectly with both the date and the Oud note. The dry down is very sweet with the caramel , tonka bean and vanilla yet the Oud and leather help balance it out. I would describe this scent as Oajan with Oud or Angel share with Oud. Genuinely perfect. Oud Cadenza is an excellent winter and fall scent. It’s amazing for date nights and even formal occasions due to its Oud note. This fragrance has some phenomenal projection and lingevity. Literally off the tester strip alone it was projecting atleast 3 feet. And off the skin 3 sprays can fill the room! So far off my skin it has lasted close to 15 hours and I can still relatively smell the scent. I literally have no negatives for the scent other than it is costly. It’s around 220 pounds for the 50 ml but for what you are getting I think it’s definitely worth it! I don’t want to say that it’s already my favorite scent of all time since I just got it yesterday. But it might just be the best scent ever. The blend of notes is a masterpiece! Scent: 10 Projection: 10 Longevity: 10 Value: 7 Overall: 10

Where do I begin, genuinely a beautiful fragrance. Honey, sugared fruits, all balanced out with a strong oud accord. This fragrance is a perfect balance, the first oud gourmand i’ve ever smelt. Really something that reminds you why you pay the premium for Maison Crivelli. My only complaint is the oud accord can come off harsh in the opening at first, not in an animalic direction, more in a rubbery oud direction, as it dries down it blends more masterfully, and makes the fragrance feel more balanced. Don’t even think about spraying this more than twice, you’d be wasting money and choking yourself out. You only need 2 sprays. Super strong, stays on clothes forever. Performance is not a problem whatsoever. This fragrance is apparently inspired by a night in Europe partying on a yacht( i think it was a yacht, maybe something in that realm). In my opinion it encapsulates that feeling, warm, playful, not too masculine, but reminds you it’s still a manly fragrance. Would be perfect for as the evening gets cooler, you are given an alluring warm, masculine scent. This scent would be golden for a fancy dinner party where you want to impress but not be over the top by taking up too much room. Overall, well done fragrance. Super unique and if you can try it please don’t hesitate to. One of the most underrated fragrances i’ve smelt, and if it wasn’t for the exclusive price I’d gatekeep the fuck out of it.

In one word - beautiful! This fragrance composition is very beautifully crafted👌🏻. At first, it somewhat reminds me of its predecessor- OM, but only at the beginning. Then, the scent unfolds quite differently. The first thing I noticed is that the composition sounds much softer, the oud is quite delicate, and I think it could be liked even by those who are not familiar with ouds. The resinous facets are also quite noticeable, making the fragrance rather viscous and cozy. I also detect sweetness in this scent, but the sweetness is very delicate. I can't pinpoint exactly what gives this sweetness because the pyramid is extensive, and it's not easy to isolate individual notes since the fragrance is quite cohesive. At the same time, there is a certain airiness in the fragrance that adds lightness to its sound. I think this fragrance will be equally good in both warm and cold seasons. It's currently 27 degrees outside, and I can say that the composition is not heavy and lacks unnecessary loudness. Definitely the most wearable oud in the line! I think a large of fragrance lovers will adore it🫰🏻. UPD. Adding to the review after 4 hours of wear, the fragrance has revealed itself quite differently, becoming more fruity and sweet, but I still detect the resinousness. Ultimately, a very wearable fragrance!

This one is midway between Oud Marcuja & Stallion , which has their DNA but moves in another direction, the direction of your heart as it is lovely and mass appealing creation... It starts extra spicy with saffron , gingery cinnamon with hints of sweety Oud which slowly becomes more apparent & very well blended with the leathery caramel , you will feel it as a very warm ,balanced & not over sweety at all... Oud Cadenza is one of my absolute favorites. It shares the same Maracuja and Stallion DNA but sits right between them. To explain it better, Maracuja is sweeter, while Stallion is less sweet than Cadenza. My nose isn’t the best at picking out specific notes, but during the dry-down, Cadenza smells calmer than both, with a soft chocolate or caramel like nuance on the skin. It might even dethrone Maracuja from its top spot, that’s how good Cadenza is. I’ll decide for sure after wearing each for two consecutive days. Cadenza doesn’t just share the same scent DNA with other Maison Crivelli ouds; it also mirrors their longevity, sillage, and projection. I received multiple compliments when I wore it a couple of days ago. It’s definitely more suited for cooler weather, perfect for autumn, spring, or winter. I strongly recommend everyone to give it a try. For my taste, Maison Crivelli is one of the best perfume houses out there. Oud Cadenza Scent: 10 | Longevity: 10 | Sillage: 10 | Projection: 10 | Gender: Leans slightly masculine (in my opinion).

AKA Oud Oppenheimer Delightfully, I will be brief as I don't have a bottle (yet)... so no essays this time around. I would put this fragrance in the same group as London Extrait de Parfum and also Falcon Leather Extrait de Parfum. Keep the following differences in mind: London (including the uber expensive Harrods exclusive) is definitely more tame and fruity, rather than gourmand. Falcon Leather is more leathery but has a similar sweetness, albeit toned down. Beyond the above comparison, the reason why I am writing this review is because of Cadenza's performance. As per title, Fernandez is not just a perfumer but it is obvious that he also has a degree in Theoretical Physics. I have other fragrances that I considered "nuclear", but Cadenza goes beyond the event horison of projection (as we know it). At 30 Celsius, I sprayed once on my forearm and after 4 hours I am still smoking myself... and after 24h, it was still a discernible skin scent. I am adding this to my shortlist, in the name of science.

I literally groaned as soon as I sprayed this. Just a light mist onto my hand ignites an explosion of oud, light spiciness, sweet vanilla and woodiness. You sit for a while, then a blanket of warm spiciness and deeper sweetness embraces you. You certainly notice the sugarcane and dates. Finally, you're in a haven of vanilla, musk, tonka and cacao. Bits of everything, intriguing. On the surface, it is a woody gourmand, yet going beyond there is clearly a strong foundation with layers of complexity to this fragrance. It makes you want to know every single ingredient in this thing. Very addicting and memorable. One that turns heads. One for someone charismatic, comforting and confident. I can see why people say they felt like royalty wearing this. Great for autumn and winter, as well as celebrations in these seasons. I originally bought this for my mother, but even I would wear this.

Not much to say other than I'm really enjoying this range of fragrances from Maison Crivelli. Every time I wear either Oud Maracuja, Oud Cadenza, or Oud Stallion, I think I love the one I'm wearing more than the last one... until I switch again. It's like asking, "Which of your children is your favorite?"... I love them all. However, of the trio, Oud Cadenza is probably the one that non-oud fans would enjoy most since (to me) the strongest oud is at the opening, then it continues to get warmer and slightly sweeter. In the air, it is nice, and it's also non-offensive even when putting your nose up to it. Ultimately, though, if you're coming from the world of fresh scents, these might take a couple of wears to appreciate. I wear them for me since I understand that not everyone around me will gravitate toward them, in part because the scents aren't familiar.

1st review. Mf's always say how ___ is nuclear or eternal and 9/10 times it is an exaggeration. Made an account just to tell you that the sillage on this is strong, and the longevity is eternal (24 hrs +). My skin eats up fragrances and very very few have lasted this long. Make of that what you will. As for the scent itself, this is a very pleasant gourmand oud. Take haltane, OfG, or Outcast blue DNA and add tonka, caramel, and chocolate. It's delicious. Going to test it a few more times, but think this easily deserves a spot in my collection (even a decant will last a long time). If you are someone new to oud, Cadenza is a good gateway into it. Maison Crivelli lived up to the hype, I might have to check out Maracuja now to see how that fares in comparison.

Imma keep it simple and easy to understand... from a 3+ years into niche frag enthusiast. Opening very dark and spicy immediately feel the oud accord that crivelli uses in their fragrances you will find this same base in stallion and maracuja. In the dry down its basically angels share but with that crivelli oud base and way darker more masculine so thats a great thing tbh, i feel this cinnamon rum ish liqueur smell 90% similar to angels share. I dont get why anyone would compare this scent to anything else rather than angels share. Not close to blessed baraka, not close to blonde amber, not close to noir extreme what are y’all about lol Perfect winter scent for anyone wanting a better version of angels share more masculine and beast mode. 9.5/10

Respectfully i have no idea what people are talking about saying it smells anything like Oajan. IMO this is absolutely gorgeous (not that oajan isnt), for some reason to me it gives off somewhat of a boozy feel like undertone around 3-5mins in, my initial impression was 30% by the fire place mixed with 10% Jazz club (amber more than booze), 15% with Angel Share, mixed with 30% Oud stallion + 15% sugary goodness. Basically a Smokey sugared date Oud, touches of cao cao with layers complexity and projection, one spray is enough when being indoors. If you like Oud Stallion, it’s impossible to not like this, incredibly rounded not quite gourmand , I’m over the moon.

The collector in me had to buy this- yes it is that girl- it’s so comforting and cosy, it’s a fall and winter scent but I do sneak a spray of it at anytime day or night just to enjoy the quality of this masterpiece. I’m wearing it now, did 2 sprays on my collarbone 6hours ago and I’m in heaven. This fragrance is just so comforting to me. The quality is amazing. It’s a unisex fragrance, does not lean too masculine, lasts for 12 hours and the best part is when you are in your little scent bubble just enjoying the moment along with everyone else around you, ha ha! I’ve never gone nose blind to Maison Crivelli extracts as they are just nuclear.

This is niiiiiiice. Nostalgic for some reason? There’s something here that gives me memories of fall and winter during my childhood. Freshly grated nutmeg. Slight incense smoke. The dates and dried fruit read as tobacco. Backbone of a little medicinal oudiness. All of my jackets are going to smell like this once it’s weather appropriate. The sillage is pretty crazy, so go easy on the atomizer. A single spray on a tester strip and it scented my room for the night. On skin, it doesn’t seem to be too loud. I like this a lot more than Oud Maracuja, but it’s an entirely different thing. This is probably not as sweet as you expect it to be.

This blend is swirling around sweetness that gets taken over by slight smokiness then woody notes and you never loose sense of it. If you spray it on clothes it'll last for weeks. Cadenza and Ambre Superfluide LEP are my favorite woody gourmand. In my opinion it lasts long and doesn't project offensively (with 2-3 sprays) & makes it a good daily wear. Oud is clean here just like in Mancera and Montale creations. However, it was difficult to find this perfume, they don't have it in their official physical stores & online there are more dupes than the original, so while blind buying was a risk but it was worth it.

Seeing that Maison Crivelli released a new Oud fragrance, made me excited to test it as soon as possible. This fragrance really fits to what you expect from him, a strong long lasting scent with a silage that wont disappoint you, but not as strong as Oud Maracuja. As time goes by, you really can explore the notes in this fragrance in depth, as the Oud gets softer but is still as strong. The warm edible, spice scent does not disappoint me. It is a softer, more crowd-pleasing fragrance in my opinion. I can really see myself wearing this at the fall/winter time. I definitely recommend you to try to smell this.

This is my new love! And so happy for it, because it arrived today with the so hyped Tuberouse Astrale, which is my biggest disappointment :( I have been searching for an exciting oud perfume, but Oud Cadenza exceeded my expectations! I was not that impressed by the opening, but afterwards... oh, my! I can smell the cinnamon, the caramel, the cacao.. and the oud is really sexy. I do not agree with the comments it is a masculine scent, for me it is a comfortable unisex perfume, and as a woman I can certainly pull this off. 10/10, I love it! I have 5 ml travel size, but will definitely go for a full bottle.

I swear people just hate on popular houses and fragrances because it's trendy. This is an incredible oud fragrance (yes I know it is an accord and not real oud, I don't give a shit), so soft and not overpowering but still has insane longevity and great projection. It won't overwhelm but the warm chocolately presence will be felt for ages. Another point of merit, I have a middle-eastern friend who HATES fragrance and perfumes. Gives him headaches, he usually only wears oud attars and oil based stuff. He adored the house of Maison Crivelli and loved most of the line, this being his and my favourite.

Its what Royalty smells like. An utter enjoyable experience wearing this, envelops you in an aura of warmth, spicy, oudy, sweetness. It has an amazing blend of sweet dates, cane sugar, middle eastern oud and incense, a slight caramel, leathery and spicy nuance blended to absolute perfection. People have mostly been looking into the hype with maracuja but this in my opinion is the finest of the three, the rest of them are exceptional too but this one just has something to it. Performance is amazing and it stays on clothes forever, even after washes but never cloys or annoys

Tried it at Harrods earlier this week and it grew on me. It was hard for me to detect the notes when I first sprayed it, but once it settles, it's the softest, most decadent scent I've ever smelled on myself. It doesn't hit you right in the face, but it mellows and slowly unveils its facets. Longevity is amazing--it was still very potent on my wrists for a few good hours after I've showered. Definitely one for the colder months, it has the signature Maison Crivelli oud and leather combo softened by a hint of chocolate and burnt sugar.

Mmmm that’s a lovely oud fragrance! Very modern and clean, with a prominent sweetness and smokiness. I love how it blended, you can definitely feel most the ingredients and their quality. It doesn’t smell synthetic by any means. The sweetness here is quite gooey and slightly animalic, I would say that it reminds me of dates (I didn’t check the pyramid before testing it, it was an initial association)) and some Eastern desserts that contain honey and nuts. Oud Cadenza is my first purchase from the house, reluctant on the others however as soon as I smelt this, I knew I had to buy it. Opening is a spicy barnyard Oud, with some sweetness. However the dry down is where this fragrance shines, Spicy sugary and woody, reminiscent of a dessert in a firelight pub on a cold British evening. Unisex leaning masculine and not as offensive as other Crivellis, you are still filling rooms for hours though. Masterpiece, the more I smell it the more I enjoy it!

Maison Crivelli's Oud Cadenza is a beautifully spiced-oud gourmand creation from the man himself, Jordi Fernández. An incredible combination of cardamom, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa butter, tonka bean, and myrrh lift the Oud accord to a sumptuous height. I can't decide whether I like this or Oud Maracujá more. They go in two completely different directions so I would say they both serve a purpose in a fragrance wardrobe. Check them both out if they interest you because they really are exquisite.

After more testing, this is comfortably the best offering from their extrait line IMO. Maracuja wowed me at first but I got sick of it. This is more complex and more of a slow burner but it's fantastic. Creates such an aura. I'm only looking to keep a small collection but this is good enough to have a place within that for winter nights out! Need to try their EDP line next - only tried Iris Malikhan from that so far but that is also superb.

I am a woman who usually only prefers fragrances that does not lean one bit of masculine and this definitely leans masculine but this is an exception for me which is crazy! Maybe I love it because it reminds me of fall and winter which are my favorite seasons 😆 Either way it's absolutely incredible and unique. I could safely say that this is one of the best fragrances I smelled in 2025. I can't wait to rock it when it gets chilly

Ok, I said just a couple of reviews ago that Maracuja is another level. One thing I'm learning as I test more and more fragrances, loving something at first smell often means I don't end up loving them in the longer term. Maracuja I've gone off a bit, whereas this one has gone up in my estimation! I need to test both more but at the moment I can see myself not getting sick of this, where I think I could get sick of Maracuja.

The opening is similar to Oud Maracuja, but after a bit, it becomes different. The combination of caramel, fruits, sugar, and some vanilla is amazing! I expected it to be a lot sweeter, but it is very well blended. At the time of writing this, most of the longevity votes are for ‘eternal,’ and it indeed is eternal! I had 5 sprays on me, and it still blasts 8+ hours later... Definitely a masterpiece from Maison Crivelli!

Oud Cadenza shines on skin. The warmth of the body brings out its rich, textured character and gives the oud a smoother, more sensual feel. It's also an excellent fragrance for layering, adding depth and a touch of mystery without overwhelming other scents. A beautifully crafted oud that truly comes alive with body heat and works surprisingly well for mixing with other fragrances.

Crivelli's Oud Cadenza is a masculine oud and leather scent balanced with sweetness of toasted sugar. It smells like a Roman legionnaire who just marched 20 miles through sugarcane and then fought in an Indian spice market and lasts just as long. Not for the faint of heart, but may be one of my favorite winter scents since Vilhelm's Oud Affair. Magnifique'!

Gorgeous scent all the way through—I'm going to have to get a bottle. Was almost dissuaded from this as the sales assistant at Harrods must have given me Oud Stallion instead. Tried again spraying it myself another day and wow. Sweet but masculine, superbly blended, mouth-watering, robust, nuclear. Everything you want in a semi-gourmand cold weather scent.

I had to check Oud Cadenza before buying a whole bottle of Maracuja; scent impressions: less heavy than oud stallion - smoother and sweeter (if you smelled a lot of perfumes, the scent will feel familiar), suitable for a cold night; comparing it side by side with maracuja i pick the latter because its lighter and the sour note really impresses me.

I absolutely adore this fragrance. Its longevity & sillage is super and its just really different. I find alot say its a masculine scent , I don't get that as it would put me off. I wore it recently and my brother who lived in Dubai for a few years said thats the scent he got alot there. A Rich warm fruity , slightly leathery scent .

This should be the most popular of Maison Crivelli’s fragrances - not oud maracujá. This is much more complex and wearable. Absolute powerhouse, strictly formal wear, date night etc for me. Could not see me doing my Sunday shopping creating trails of silage around the supermarket, or at work creating a bubble that pulsates ALL DAY

Update: just received the order today and simply WOW. Speechless. Having coca morado yesterday it is nothing like this at all. This is so opulent, elegant, foody and strongly a winter scent.. the taste of dates mixing with the cocoa dance is very present while the oud plays tricks in the background. What a masterpiece

Opening was a little medicinal for me but this has the best dry down of any fragrance I've ever smelled in my life. Been trying to find words to describe it but I can't. It's a masterpiece and a absolutely gorgeous work of art. Deep rich and spicy gourmand I think but not sure because it's like it's alive...

Went to Harrods exclusively to test Oud Cadenza. Sprayed it on skin, walked around Harrods and then bhought it. Excellent longevity. Cannot say that it is similar to Oud Maracuja. Completely different vibe. Smoky sweet oud. Not challenging at all, wore it to office, no complains from colleagues. 9,5 / 10

But have you tried Cocoa Morado? I haven't tried Oud Cadenza but the oil version of Cocoa Morado is spectacular and soo smooth. Think of taking ginger biscuits with hot cocoa milk dashed with cinnamon. 🤤🔥 Best gourmand scent ever. Looking forward to trying Oud Maracuja next, or what's inspired of it.

@Rafa_Cologne the irony of you dismissing others who've compared this to other fragrances you disagree with and then saying it's 90% Angels Share. It might be about 20-30% Angels Share...no more! Haha. Anyway, it's very nice but Oud Maracuja is another level IMO.

The opening is not something I like but when let the smell rest a little I feel it's very beautiful... It's somehow Oajan/Althair line because of the cinnamon but in classy way... I wish they reduced the sweet smell a little 🙏🏼

Can’t believe the first ‘smells like’ tf isn’t ombre leather, on the dry down this is identical to ombre leather. Love ombre leather but oud cadenza is a pointless creation in my opinion.

One of the best Maison crivelli Fragrances. Used a lot of hibiscus mahajad but now I am almost done with that bottle I’ll be moving on to this as my main fragrance for work.

This house doesn't miss. Cadenza doesn't project as hard as the othe oud fragrances by Crivelli but the scent develops beautifully as it dries down.

I went out of my way to order this before it became available where I live. This is a total blind buy based on my trust of the house. So thrilled!

This is the best fragrance in the house. The rest smell too chemically or too sweet. This is the only one that smells worth the money.

Short words I love oud maracuja and I love this one even more if I have to choose one it will be oud cadenza with no a doubt.

I like fragrances that plant images in my head. They should take me somewhere immediately and that is what Oud Cadenza does.
