Holy Balls of Fire, this is a Patchouli/Gardenia Bomb 💣 💥☄️ Don’t get me wrong, it’s beautiful but I sprayed a tiny, and I mean A TINY amount on my hand and 12+ hours later, after several hand washings and a whole day, it still smells strong!!!!! What the heck is in this???? It isn’t your typical patchouli (at least to my nose), the gardenia in it is VERY potent and has an “oily” quality if that makes sense? I like it but holy macaroni, I cannot imagine spraying this more than once on me, I’d probably die...??? The oily-ness/dirty-ness comes from the earthy patchouli, and the leather, I suppose? But the gardenia is also quite indolic and “wet/dirty”, at least to my nose... The peach/vanilla/benzoin/woods-y notes are more of a background accompaniment to the patchouli...This is something else, I tell you!! 😝 Perfectly unisex and definitely for someone who has no qualms about announcing themselves waaaaaayyyyy before they enter the room 😅 For the moment, I will keep my sample and try it again when the weather cools down a bit. I think this will feel different when it’s cold outside? All that being said, this is beautiful and masterfully blended. You just need to have a strong love for earthy/floral/sweet but “oily” smells...I don’t know how else to describe this scent 😅😅 just be warned, once you have sprayed it, there’s no turning back 😂😂😂

Wow, the reviews on this are all over the place. The Patchouli is not the harsh biting patch I expected...it's very smooth and, in my case, rather linear. I smell no gardenia in this, so the blend must be extraordinary, and maybe a healthy dollop of a bitter peach and a dry vanilla, which comes forward on the dry down.. This is NOT a sweet scent at ALL. It's very smooth and dry. I like it a lot. Very unisex and long lasting, without being overwhelming. Nothing to offend. I would wear this year round, myself. The timid can keep it to the cold months. 9/10 overall. ( I would give it a solid 10 but it is rather pricey).. EDIT- SO...after an overnight and all day use, the patchouli disappears and I was left with a peachy, sweeter than expected, skin scent. The lotion that works with this is vanilla! I thought it would be patchouli but no... I also had to reapply this a couple times. It gets very "quiet" on ME, after a few hours. Dropping it to 7/10 overall. Won't pay full price again for it. If I can't get a discount, it won't be worth it.

I very much dislike Tom Ford's Black Orchid fragrances so I wasn't too excited to try this one. Yes, the Black Orchid dna is there, but I enjoy Patchouli Magnetik waaay more than Black Orchid. Even though I find fragrances like this to be quite polarizing, this is a very well blended fragrance and comes off as very smooth. As it dries down I find this to become even more enjoyable! This may not be my favorite fragrance of all time, but a Fragrantica score of 3.08 is absurd. I have the Maison Crivelli discovery set so if Patchouli Magnetik was this good I can't wait to try the rest! This is not a full bottle blind buy, but if you enjoy Black Orchid do yourself a favor and get a sample of this. If anything, take note that Quentin Bisch is the perfumer behind this as he is one of the best up and coming perfumers out there with many great fragrances credited to him. You may or may not be head over hills for Patchouli Magnetik, but know you are smelling a very high quality piece of art that anyone can appreciate.

This one was an instant love for me. I stuck with one spray due to warnings about the concentration. This is not a dark, mega earthy overwhelming patchouli. This is that elusive chocolate cakey patchouli. It reminds me slightly of another Quentin Bisch patchouli fragrance: Angel Muse. Just from the patchouli/chocolate elements. They're pretty different though. I tried this without reading the notes. I got chocolate cakey patchouli, something fruity, and an underlying creaminess. It was not at all overpowering at one spray. It was strong but not something so strong that I was self conscious about it. I wore it to dinner and it mellowed out to a smoother, creamier scent as the night went on. Aside from patchouli, I found the notes were not that distinct individually. I'm reading the negative reviews and I don't understand them at all. This is my favorite Maison Crivelli I've tried so far as I work my way through most of their house.

Not for the faint of heart, this is challenging scent.The patchouli, leather (or rubber) are at the fore front. The patchouli is earthy and chocolaty, and everything really sets the scene. To me this perfume matches the story they were trying to express- Beaming hot day on an island, there are flower petals packed on the ground and peach trees with their fruit ready for picking (maybe even too ripe). Suddenly lightning, seconds later it starts to rain. People are trying to avoid the rain, quickly jump on their motorcycles. It's my favourite, I love it! Spray lightly. Best in humid mid temperatures. Update: Seems very 'sticky' in the fall

Wow! Patchouli is one of my least favourite scents. Monsieur by Frederic Malle is the only one I own and like and even then the ride on lasts 4ish hours before it morphs into something I don’t like. This however is the only other exception. I found a number of MC scents I love (mainly florals which amazingly I normally am not into) and actually ordered this totally by accident. It was a pleasant surprise - to me it’s a dirty chocolaty patch with a hint of peach. I love it but alas it’s all relative. I really don’t like Patchouli so it’s going to be moved on but hats of to MC for such a well made short joyous ride...

This is definitely one to try on your skin before deciding. It smells completely different on me than it does on a blotter. I've had people (other fragheads) guess what it was and they were SHOCKED it was Patchouli Magnetik. On me it's a very fresh peach with some light floral and marine salinity. The patchouli is almost imperceptible which is confusing as that note is very strong on the blotter/in the bottle. I NEVER would have purchased this testing in store, but I gave it a try since I got the full discovery set of the Crivelli extrait line. It ended up being the one that smelled the best on me.

This is gorgeous. Sweet, airy, uplifting, long lasting, strongly projecting. And unique. I have smelled prob thousands of fragrances since my teenage years, when I started to wear perfume, but even more since 2014 when I became a low key collector and nothing in niche, designer, arab, dupe, cheapie world smells like this. The idea of thunderstorm def fits, cause there is this strong airiness in it. Love from first sniff, I am getting a bottle. No earthiness or bitterness, I dislike fragrances that smell like that. Projection and lasting power is what makes it worth the price for me as well.

One of the most elegant cakey patch's I have smelt. Along with the vanilla/benzoin blended expertly, it gives the feel of a melting dessert with a hint of fruitiness on top likely coming from the white peach note. You can definitely smell the extrait de Parfum concentration in this too as it lasts over 12 hours on my skin. 3 sprays max and you're set. I think if you enjoy Jovoy style patch's or even Dior's prive patch imperial then you'll appreciate this.

This does not smell good close up to my nose, but I imagine the sillage is much more pleasant. Very, very strong patchouli with a fake peach note up front. Very camphorous. A travel spray should last you years. Edit: the dry down is much nicer. I'm not a patchouli fan but do enjoy this. I sprayed a half spray from a tiny sample and even sprayed another perfume on top of it when I slept and 24 hours and one shower later I can still smell it on my arm.

I bought myself a discovery set to see which one i liked best after receiving a sample of Hibiscus Mahajad. I ended up testing the Patchouli Magentik. It's definitely in your face. It is not for everyone i think It could be headache inducing for some. Now the pros : on me it is simply delightful full intense floral and fruity and somehow intoxicating... This is one of those fragrances if it works for you ; you love it if not you despise it bitterly.

Just as an update to my past review, I've been wearing the sample I got and I think it being an insanely long lasting radiating scent is a double edged sword! I love the smell BUT I wouldn't want to have it linger for so long while I'm having lunch. And that's just with one spray!!! I had to scrub it off because I can't eat my chicken kebab properly without taking in whiffs of peach and patchouli. Sample it first and really wear it for a day :)

I dont undertand the hate in the comments. its furity as the whole line of MC . similar vibes to Oud Marauja and Habsicus. The smell is mostly peachy while the opening has a hint of pachouli . it can give a feeling of leather at the end but its not . applied one spray on myskin and it was an explosive spray , my friends kept saying they only smell this perfume and it lasts even after i took a hot bath . love it and its a keep .

opening is acidic detergent spicy vinegar, liquorice, soap, rotten peach, soil, metallic, expired milky. as it dries it becomes bitter leaf soil, magazine page, still acidic soapy, perhaps there's a distant hint of leather- maybe... dries down stomach churning - in a pleasurable way, rotting flower peach, detergent acid... expired milk love this one. lol.

What a stunner of a fragrance! I've had this for several months now and it's a hands down favourite concoction, cannot understand the negative reviews. Yes it's sweet but in a deep, sexy way, definitely nothing juvenile about this mix. Beautiful work QB! I receive positive compliments every single time I wear PM, beautiful work once again Quentin Bisch.

Very strong chocolate-peachy patchouli. Niche scent ! There is no doubt in that. The old school dogs will understand this perfume and how unique is . If you are new in the world of fragrances you will probably hate it. I rate it 9/10 ! Very good one from Maison Crivelli and Q.Bisch. That's dirty patchouli but stays on your skin sexy and cool .

Coffeebean and Tea Leaf's African Sunrise tea as a perfume! It also brings out some nostalgia for me because that tea specifically I drank a lot of in college before I got into coffee. I kept the test strip in my wallet when I sampled this. 3 weeks later even after having thrown the strip away, the smell still faintly lingers in my wallet.

So far everything I’ve tried from Mason Civelli has been a beast. I ended up overspraying as it gets stronger on the dry down. To me this is a lovely unisex set that I would wear a year-round get a strong that’s a little green. Definitely not something I would blind buy but don’t trust the reviews and sample it for yourself.

All the comments about “milk,” there’s no milk note in here. I thought it was lovely.....it’s not an “easy to wear,” so if you can’t wait for the final dry down, stick to the mass-appealing scents like BR540, Aventus for Her, Delina etc. This one is a tad sophisticated for the masses.

a copy of Dior patchouli impérial the original version abandoned 2011 a nuclear fruity leather patchouli lasts for days on the skin and clothes a high quality perfume it is the only one from this house that I have been able to validate 8/10

I don't comprehend the disgust from some people but this is one of the finest, most beautiful patchouli fragrances I've ever owned. The woodiness is just the right amount and the dry down is a beast. It reacts wonderfully with the skin.

the skin is like cutting through cake sponge, an ouch! band-aid bubblegum tin (iykyk), a juicy something under dusty cocoa powder. the surroundings are fruity, rubbery foliage. it's surreal. makes me wanna listen to nick cave.

An absolute UNIT of a fragrance. One of the very few I feel REQUIRES moderate application. To my nose, over application reveals a sharp “metallic tinge”-ish note; similar to haemoglobin (sort of) Overall, adore this creation.

I thought all the rave editor reviews were just being snooty, but no, this is actually incredibly good. Along with Bois Imperial, Bisch may be the greatest patchouli perfumer there is And yet it’s still stupidly overpriced

Monstrosity in a bottle. Stays weeks on the clothes. I bought it today. 200€ for this quality is good price. You will not wash it off on the first time 😁 personally for me very unique and sweet scent. I really like it.

Sample arrived today. I’m a fan of QB’s work, but wasn’t sure if I’d like the peach. This one is different but I’m really liking it so far. I’ll wear through this sample, probably end up getting a full bottle.

Take 1 part Gucci Rush, a pinch of Kenzo Jungle and 1 part Tauerville Fruitchouli Flash. Dial it to 11. Voila. And I love it. But I totally see why it's so polarizing. It's heavy stuff.😅

People here are insane. These reviews are written by the biggest drama queens, my god. The most repulsive scent? Absolutely not. Honestly the drydown on my skin is a slightly less sweet/more unisex version of the Mugler Angel Eau de Star flanker. That long discontinued flanker was a slightly softer, simplified version of the OG Angel with a melon note. It’s a lovely scent, I own a bottle of it. I will say that the opening of this scent wasn’t amazing. Not terrible at all, just not my vibe. It was kind of waxy, woody, artificial, strange, more masculine, too niche for my taste. But nothing sour, animalic, or even very strong. I braced myself to fill the room the way I do when I spray Hibiscus Mahajaad, but PMs nowhere near that strong of a beast. It remained a more woody and waxy “green aromatic” for 30 minutes or so, during which I actually couldn’t even recognize patchouli. Then I noticed it started to get fruity, sweet, and became a more recognizable patchouli. Its VERY smooth and aromatic, not sharp or screechy. Clean and fresh fruity patchouli, nothing funky. I find it’s strongest 1-2 feet from the skin. It’s gentle and soft beyond that. It’s strong enough to survive a dry climate and sunshine on my skin which often eats fragrances rapidly. I really like this and skipped sampling for more than a year because of fragrantica reviews. Now I’ve learned that the more they hate, the more I love! Hooray! Anyway I don’t see any resemblance to Black Orchid, one of my top 10 all time favorite perfumes. It’s definitely closer to an Angel flanker, after the initial 30 minutes have passed. Angel is also one of my top 10s. I don’t even really like patchouli, but this is patchouli done right. PMs more unisex and I feel like it gets a bit tropical and very nice in the heat/on warm skin. It would be a great summer scent. Bravo! Will definitely revisit this one in the future!

Wow! Not sure if my patchouli moods come in cycles (sometimes I feel it depends on the time of the month, lol) - but this one was SEXY on the paper. It's bizarre. To be honest, I think this would be nicer without the peach. The peach gives it this strange, light, cloying touch, which is SUPER bizarre and very weird when contrasted with the dark patchouli. Especially when it opens on the skin. The patchouli is dark, skanky, and VERY sexual. I won't wear this out - it strongly brings to mind a sexually overwhelming, masculine, super unabashed man. Sexy but also kind of dirty and inappropriate. Imo, take out the peach, keep the sluttiness -> 10/10 sex bomb of a perfume. Don't get me wrong - I do see why people dislike it. There's something gross about it. But it's also REALLY enticing in a kind of forbidden way. I have Black Orchid as well. This one doesn't have the spice in Black Orchid, but it does have the similarly strong patchouli in here. I like the truffle note in Black Orchid more, but I also prefer the fact that this doesn't have spice in it. I don't really like a lot of Maison Crivelli's perfumes, but this one I think doesn't deserve the 3.06 rating on Fragrantica. Scent: 6 out of 10, but also, 11/10. LOL. Projection: Whew. Beastly. Longevity: >7-8 hours

I could have swore you said it was like eating chocolate with your black tea. That's what I get with this fragrance, a pronounced dark, and just-sweet-enough, green chocolate. Making it fall into the category of something chocolatey that never were. It's not just me. In blindly asking two others, a cacao-likeness was also asserted. Interesting. You can pick out most of the notes (if you want to) but that peach is a bit too buried, adding only the essence of fresh sweetness, tagging along with vanilla. And while the patchouli and gardenia exert themselves above the fray, the real "imaginary author" is the blend of benzoin, leather, sandalwood, and that (peachy) vanilla, that amounts to putting cocoa in my tea. And you might as well try that concoction of a beverage out, because at this price point getting a full size serving may make you drop your saucer. Yet it lasts as long as an oxidized chocolate tea stain.

A fizzy lactonic white flower with chocolate Is it weird...oh yes!...a patchouli? not at all, it's more like the mix of the aldehydique champagne of Vraie Blonde by Etat Libre d'Orange and the chocolate peach of 1969 by Histoires de Parfums. A fleshy gardenia soft like the skin and the pulp of a peach, a sour mineral note that maintains an impression of effervescence by titillating the nose like gas on the surface of a soda and a soft chocolate base that resolutely put the perfume in the new gourmand category (weird but wearable) without falling into the sugar. For me surely the best composition from this brand perfect technically with great longevity and diffusion.

This should be named: Patchouli Nuclear! Let me open with this: I'm an avid patchouli hater. Having said that, Patchouli Magentik is quite a modern interpretation of patchouli: deep, dark, dusty but not earthy. That helps take the composition in an interesting powdery direction and take the hippie edge off patchouli. So, I can safely say I find this tolerable, borderline enjoyable for personal wear at a micro dose! I'd still be super conscious to smell like this socially unless your goal is to overwhelm every nose in a 10-mile radius even with one spray.

i've never smelled anything like this. so fascinating and even if this is not wearable, i applaud Quentin Bisch & thibaud crivelli for taking this risk and exploring a different scent-scape. smells like chocolate cake if it was dropped and rubbed in dirt. so weird and fascinating. i have so many words to describe this and also none. very harsh and in your face. earthy but sweet and chocolatey but also slightly fruity. it was kind of gross, but i was smelling the paper every other second. drydown was very sweet and more normal. peach and patchouli.

Beast mode chocolate cakey patchouli that immediately reminded me of Black Orchid. It’s not as smoothly blended and floral as Black Orchid, more rough and earthy with a greenish hint - not as approachable in my opinion, kind of like its more challenging evil twin. The scent lingered for three days in the room I put it on so performance is not an issue. I think Black Orchid is an iconic fragrance that I enjoy wearing but this not as much. I think it goes without saying, but you need to love patchouli to appreciate this.

Magnetic it is, can't stop smelling myself when I put it on. It's not the most complex or extravagant scents but its relative simplicity doesn't take away from the masterful perfumery. I find it more interesting in its opening, the dry down gets a tad bit boring. I can absolutely see myself getting a full bottle if and when it's reduced. I don't think it's worth the full price of £200 for me, I'm afraid. 7/10

Wow, certainly not a crowd pleaser BUT I really like this one b/c it's a hyperstrong patchouli but tamed by a slight bit of sweetness with the fruit and vanilla notes. A must try for any patchouli lovers, which I think are few and far between. This is something I'd wear for my own enjoyment but since it's so strong, I'd rarely wear it out in public where it could absolutely annoy the people around me.

I feel it’s like patchouli with peach play-doh, it has this goopy texture to the scent, if you fancy. Wow! Such an interesting one. I think if you like Dior patchouli imperial, you will enjoy this. Give it a try.

To me it's a chocolatey patchouli and a tropical fruity peach and frangipani shampoo. I think it smells fine on a blotter but on skin I don't think I could wear a full spray. Its VERY strong. I would rather apply this to my skin like an attar.

truckload of peaches on a day so hot it starts to rain. Wet STICKY peaches, wet patchouli, rubber tires that are about to give out... I only get compliments from other girls when I wear this <3 sample first always xo
