Santal Volcanique

I love this. It makes me feel like taking the day off and ordering cocktails outside somewhere and having FUN. It's alive and refreshing with the ginger and lime but also a little sweet and woody in the base with a sandalwood mixture that feels like an old barbershop scent, but twists it on it's head to be slightly more flamboyant. That's part of the charm to me- it's beguiling in a boyish way. It's a soft, spicy sweetness that isn't "dandy" nor extremely masculine, but still smells a bit like shaving foam. I'm finding it hard to review because everything I see here mentions a lack of typically sweet and creamy sandalwood (I'm not a sandalwood connoisseur...yet) but I sense those qualities coming from somewhere- probably the cardamom. I think I get such a nostalgia from it partly because it also reminds me of Burberry Touch. They're both sandalwood scents that share some aromatic themes and citrus nuances. I don't pick up a huge coffee note but I think it's there somewhere adding another bitter, earthy dimension that triggers thoughts of celebratory drinks- perhaps cocktails and winter latte specials all mixed into one feeling. People may get hung up on the name implying something more impactful and brimming with energy, but I think it fits within the Crivelli line well. Moreso it's one of the few fragrances where the sweetness and mass-appeal don't bother me at all. It feels luxurious, cozy, carefree, and comfortable in many situations from casual to classy. I really feel like I could wear this anywhere, anytime, and it would be hard to dislike. The profile may be famililar but it's very refined, and performance is decent (or at least not in the category of disappearing like I hear about other scents like this). The more I wear it the more I'm picking up an earthy, almost metallic edge (coffee once again) that I'd say is fairly unique and gives more credence to the theme of hot vs cold.

Okay so Immediately I said, ooooooh I like that!!!! Because this is a real blast from the past. My past the 90's my formative years immediately I proclaimed with a degree of certainty "Santal Volcanique smells like Gucci Envy!" I stick to that but as I think back with jaded and faded recollections of Envy, another fragrance (from the same era) looms into view and it's D&G By for Men.because they are both crudely, milky, luminescent sandalwood's from an era of hope, an everything's gonna be alright sort of time. These came after the aquatic, goldrush and have been touched on in niche and peripheral designer scents since, but never really had a full-on renaissance. This is fantastic and immediately transported me back to a trip to Scotland as a teenager, amazing what fragrance can do. I get lime (and perhaps the listed ginger??) in the top but it's not a caricature or even very prominent, and a kind of gentle spices I associate with Kenzo Jungle (also sort of of the period) on a majestic sandalwood, it's musky powdery but with a masculiity, creamy woods given masculine bite with cashmeran or something perhaps? The blending is superb and the fact it evokes two great fragrances in Gucci and D&G but this is even more refined I feel. Take Floris Santal for example a fragrance with similar attributes this seems to be much fuller and thicker. This one and the iris are both top spot from the house for me. Brilliant!

This is a really good Crivelli, I love the spicy aspects of the fragrance, it's really different on the blotter than on my skin though. On the blotter the sandalwood is really present, accompanied with a spicy touch of cardamom and ginger, it was familiar to my nose until I pointed out the ressemblance to D&G The One. The sandalwood-ginger combo is similar to it, it's less sweet-tropical though, a bit drier. 4 seasons scent. On skin it's really different though, I will definitely test it more, but on a warm spring day, it smelled fresher than I thought, the ginger is really present and I also smell something reminiscent of ambroxan ( maybe in the ingredients but not on the note list), it's fresh and invigorating, with a slight spicy-woody vibe in the background. This lasts a good amount of time but doesn't project a lot though. It's maybe my skin, or because I should test more, in other weather conditions etc. but as a first skin test impression this is kinda similar to Escentric 02, only less sharp and citrusy, with an added spicy-woody touch.

Although I can see where the frustration over the naming is coming from, disliking a fragrance solely because you think it's name doesn't represent the scent is absurd. Santal Volcanique is such a crisp and mineral smelling sandalwood. Santal Glacial would probably be a more accurate name for it. It's a barbershoppy clean creamy sandalwood but it gets its freshness from ginger and lime instead of lavender or bergamot, similar to how MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver did it with corriander and juniper. Performance is acceptable. It doesnt fill a room but you dont really want this kind of scent to do that. The dry down reminds me a LOT of Clive Christian Rock Rose and Xerjoff Golden Green. Maybe it's the way the coffee (or cacao) is blended with the musk and woods in the dry down. There's something beautiful in the base that's shared between all 3. Santal Volcanique is a crisp linen suit on a hot summer day. Rock Rose is a tweed jacket on a damp spring morning. Golden Green is a cashmere sweater on a cozy autumn evening.

I went 5 sprays now and i feel the perfume to be very weak. Feels like watered down? Not sure if im anosmic now but i still smell whiffs of sandalwood ginger and hints of ylang. But very weak for 5 sprays. Very nice fragrance and i hope this improves on the next wearings. Top notch presentation and bottle. Especially the cap feels high quality and the attention to detail is on point. But if the juice inside doesn't perform, i'd give any fragrance an easy NO. Will update after a few wears. Update: This sandalwood frag if safe for even people who doesn't like sandalwood because it turns "sour" on their skin. This on doesn't do that and is well balanced with ylang and ginger. Though the projection on this is definitely weak, it still leaves a trail of sillage by approx 2ft. A personal scent I'd say but pleasant and easily likeable. People need to get close to you to smell this one. Still full bottle worthy imo. Longevity around 8 to 10hours with the latter is barely detectable but still there if you dig your nose.

To me, this fragrance smells like what Mirage from the incredibles would wear. Hot and cool at the same time, like a latina with frosty hair. On the cold evening on the volcanic island, she applies expensive skincare in a high quality bath robe. She probably uses La Mer. Her accomodation is a chalet on the highest point of the island with glass windows, a fireplace and a clear elevator to the first floor. Her whole life smells like santal volcanique. Mirage always has been my cartoon role model so I 100% want this fragrance. Some would say it leans masculine but I find this like VERY unisex. If you picture a man, this smells completely masculine. But if you picture Mirage, it just smells powerful.

I absolutely love this scent! It’s a warm, woody, slightly sweet soft scent with a dash of lime. I smell sandalwood, cedar and cardamom the most. I don’t really pick up on the coffee note. It’s perfectly unisex which is my favorite type of scent...To me this is such a perfect every day perfume. It’s office friendly, my husband loves it on me, and I really really enjoy this. Enough so that I just bought a full bottle! It’s one of those scents where someone will just say “you smell really good” when they get close. I’m so happy to have added Santal Volcanique to my collection. Don’t let the name fool you, this is not super spicy or smoky... it’s delicate and soft and incredibly appealing.

I love this. It's barbershoppy without the lavender. The sandalwood is super smooth, aromatic, and clean smelling. I also get hit with ginger and some citrus. I am not detecting any coffee, but it very subtly gets toasty and a little ashy once dry. You can wear this year-round during the day or night. It does remind me of Masculin Pluriel, which is one of my favorite daytime clean barbershop gentleman scents. To my nose, it doesn't smell like Himalaya, as that scent more citrusy, sharper, and musky and not as warm, woody, and smooth as SV. Overall, I'm glad I picked up the big bottle of this, it's going in the weekly rotation, and it layers very nicely with other fragrances. 9.2/10

Hear me out, hear me out... vaporwave. I wear this when I want to feel like a go-getting young executive from a faded Sears catalog spread: neat, confident, energetic. Takes care of himself. A woody/spicy/creamy sandalwood-cardamom blend with some citrus to keep it fresh and a coffee note which adds a gentle, nostalgic warmth. The Paul Allen business card of fragrances (eg. both generic and outstanding). For fans of conference halls, clip-on pagers, Windows on the World restaurant, the photograph "Morning Dash" by Beth Yarnelle Edwards, a hotel shower before happy hour. To be worn on a sunny commute accompanied by the latest release from midnight première.

Scored this for $70, so I didn’t even bother testing it first. I was expecting a full-on smoke bomb—but honestly, I don’t see how anyone could be disappointed with this. The ginger blast opening? Love it. After that, it settles into something like a cozy barber shop vibe—warm, relaxing...if that makes sense. I find the overall vibe surprisingly chill. Feels like a hot shower after a long day, just enjoying the smell. Nothing nuclear, nothing groundbreaking—but linear enough to be interesting. And the wife? Didn’t chase me out of bed after a little overspray...so she likes it. That’s all the endorsement I need.

Beautiful medicinal smokey sandalwood fragrance! I appreciate it more in the warming months and may or may not hold up enough in the colder months. I liked it in the cold, but passed on it a lot for other fragrances. As a naive shopper I admit I never paid close attention to the names and focused on the notes not paying too much attention to the stories and wonder if that is why I seem less disappointed. If you are looking for a medicinal sandalwood this one is for you!

I’m a volcano man, so I bought this. Creamy sandalwood with florality of ginger and lime. Ginger does grow good in lush volcanic soils. I love the name, kinda wished it had the smell of fresh lava. Would work even better with a lava accord! Few moments later.....on the drydown is where this fragrance shines. The sandalwood explodes with bursts of aromatics. Mostly sandalwood and light coffee, perhaps ylang and ginger. Than it dries to a salty, light animalic base.

Santal + spicy ginger + sensuous cardamom. Very lovely. Really nice interpretation of a masculine santal scent that is not creamy not reminiscent of incense sticks. Woody yet sparkly (due to ginger). Very appropriate as a signature scent as I can see it working well in any weather, on most occasions. Women can pull it off. But def leans masculine and I think the woods and zesty aspects would blossom even better on a man’s skin. In my top 3 favourite by Crivelli.

I have the Maison Crivelli tester set, and am working my way through the fragrances. The more I wear them and work through them and test other fragrances outside the brand, the more I love them. On a cool windy summer day, Santal Volcanique is putting me into raptures - the sandalwood, ginger and cardomom keep wafting around me, the sharp edges softened by the musk. There is a warmth but also a cool stillness that makes me want to keep inhaling deeply.

I feel like some kind of volcano goddess wearing this. The line disappears way too soon and it’s so light, it’s sometimes difficult to detect. However, my skin seems to amplify the floral note and I end up with a sweet, smoky sandalwood that lasts as a skin scent all day and for days on my clothes. I love this, even if my husband only smells “pencil shavings.” It’s a shame it’s so expensive. I’ve been emptying testers like mad.

I'm absolutely in love with this scent. Most likely my go-to Spring scent for 2024. If it wasn't the ginger, it's the lime, if not the lime then it's the sandalwood that gets me. All in all....... who in the hell is suggesting this has even the slightest DNA to Pi???? Do yourself a favor and grab the discovery set from the house.

I don't know about scoring system here that made this perfume rating only at 3.9 i have tried this perfume on paper and also on my skin. I would say that this is really good smelling perfume. Its woody, creamy airy and very uplifting. Smell very nice i will buy a full bottle of this.

New love. Could easily be a signature. On my skin, it turns 100% barbershop, which I love. Like a fresher, better performing and much cheaper MFK Masculin Pluriel. I have a hard time picturing it on a woman because of how it behaves on my skin, but who knows?!

Santal Volcanique is rather well blended. Opening is a soft sandalwood with slight creamy powderyness, rather clean with bit of flora. Unisex and office, school friendly. Not too bad, will need to wear again to decide if bottle worthy

Not a fan of santalwool, so this unique piece of santalwood is perfect for me. It's catchy from the first sniff. I fell more and more in love as it drying down into a comforting Johnson baby powder scent. It makes my heart sing.

Smells like a classic shaving cream in the ABSOLUTE best possible way. I love this scent so much ! Smells clean and classically masculine. There is no other fragrance I know of that delivers this scent at this level.

Santal Volcanique is underrated sandalwood perfume imo. I really love the scent profile. Soft sandalwood cardamom with fresh ginger lime. If you like sandalwood and boring with Santal 33 fragrance style. Try this.

Will never not have it. Perfect signature if you live in warmer weather but could also rock in cooler weather in the fall. I think it’s more masculine but definitely unisex. Sandalwood with the lime is beautiful

Smells EXACTLY like Barbasol shaving cream but obviously just denser and thicker. Vintage scent so classical it was created in the 1920s. It performs like a parfum and is pretty linear.

Absolutely love this, one of my favorite scents. Spicy, warm, bright, can't get enough of it. Beautiful alone, but also livens up sweeter scents when layered.

Such a nice scent, I just wish it such around a bit longer. The barbershop vibe is real, it has a very old school "cologne" vibe to me.

A very interesting spicy sandalwood. Personal: 7/10 – Smooth and wearable, but I don't gravitate towards these interesting spicy versions of woods. It's also a bit creamy and fresh, which helps its case for smoothness. Mass appeal: 7/10 – Sandalwood is generally safe, but the spicy/smoky profile isn't for everyone. Ginger is also a bit of a polarizing note. Performance: 7/10 – Longevity and projection are fine, though not remarkable. Value: 7/10 – Crivelli pricing is high, but this feels fairly justified given the quality and blending. IF you really like the DNA and love ginger/lime. Uniqueness: 8/10 – This is an interesting take on sandalwood, leaning creamy, fresh, but also spicy and heavily nuanced. It's not groundbreaking, but I've never smelled anything like this. SCORE: 73/100 Full bottle buy? NO, I enjoy it but I wouldn’t reach for it over cozier sandalwoods. Blind buy? NO, it's a very limey ginger spicy woody fragrance. It's fine in theory, but I'd sample. Recommend? YES, if you enjoy lime and ginger, and want a spicy/unique take on sandalwood. Date night? NO, it’s too boring honestly. Doesn't feel intimate, just feels refined and clean. Office safe? YES, woody and refined without being loud. One of the more unique office-safe fragrances out there. Pros: Distinctive spicy-sandalwood take, clean and modern, well blended. Cons: A bit dry, not cozy, high price tag for something relatively linear. Not the most mass appealing. Santal Volcanique is Maison Crivelli’s attempt at turning sandalwood into something sharp and elemental, with spices and lime adding an unusual twist on what I would have expected to be a relatively simple and boring scent profile. It's something that stands out, and though I find it mediocre, I'm a little bit drawn to its uniqueness and complexity. It's also a great example of a fragrance that smells complex, despite having relatively few notes, and a linear presence on skin. I think it's worth sampling, especially if you enjoy fragrances that are a bit more oriental in nature, or if you love sandalwood and want a fragrance that still props up that sweet, creamy nature without completely overriding it. Grrr. Only volcanic thing about it is how it makes my temper simmer. Promises much and its first eruption of spiciness is really something special (I thought shedloads of pink pepper, but I guess it was ginger & cardamom blurring and popping together.) Very warm and dusty, pleasant (and sorry -but totally synthetic seeming) light-wood sandalwood rushes in to claim plenty of space, tangs of citrus up top all present and correct and working surprisingly really well with the warm spices. Yes yes, I think, it's going to be great, this could be CDG Jaisalmer but done more originally, with cool flashes of oddball wit, and then..... .... it's a giant anticlimax as everything just ... ebbs to oblivion. Pleasantly and nicely, in a modernist, angular, pastel, synthetic-modernist way, but somehow on me this just dissipates almost entirely in under 2h, is a vague whispery hint of some undefinably generic 'nice smell' for another hour, and while there's an odd layer of more floral/citric ylang and lime hovering millimetres from your skin for a little longer, it just melts away, without really letting a wearer relax into it. Deserves respect for the quite daringly weird seesawing between warm and cold - there are definitely almost-aquatic, almost-soapy moments to it at times, so although it's firmly unisex it is oddly masculine-aquatic-adjacent in a phase after a few hours, at least on skin. So for me, the mission fails - and I could have been there for something truly quirky, spicy and odd which has enough sandalwood spine and enough full-spectrum loveliness to charm as well as last. Had high hopes for it, but they were dashed by the price, performance and pale-ashy aura for me. This is a vague mood, not a dramatic event. Volcanique just doesn't have enough heat or light to it for my taste; a salute for its nerve in daring to be different, but it didn't rock my world.

Santal Volcanique is a pleasant, smooth, spicy sandalwood scent. I reviewed Jacques Fath Tempête d'Automne yesterday which coincidentally is a similar scent, and while I prefer the Fath, SV is a lovely modern sandalwood scent in its own right. Since Mysore sandalwood - the gold standard sandalwood material - was restricted, I find sandalwood scents to be uneven, often disappointing. SV opens with a blast of citrus, bright, tart and fresh. It is woody from initial spray, with smooth, dry sandalwood forming the backbone of this scent. It is never harsh, a common pitfall of the Australian sandalwood that is used instead of Mysore in modern scents. The spices are prominent up top, with ginger in particular adding its unmistakeable warm, sweet spice, complementing the sandalwood to perfection. SV also features a nice use of coffee - its chocolate-y spice melding nicely with the sandalwood, adding interest. Despite its reputation as a universal favourite aroma, coffee seems to be a difficult note to successfully include in perfume, but here it contributes nicely to this scent. I get cardamom as it develops, a note that marries well with coffee. It is very aromatic here. The ylang ylang adds some creaminess as it develops, but is uncharacteristically subtle. SV fades fast - it is at its best during the first hour or so on my skin, but becomes fairly faint and one-dimensional as it dries down. It becomes musky as it fades, woody until the end. Sillage and longevity are moderate, and it is a unisex, year-round scent. SV is a good-quality sandalwood scent, smooth and subtle, ideal for everyday use. It does run out of steam during its second act, but is decent overall. 3.5/5.

If this had Acqua di Parma stamped on the bottle, it would be hyped far more than it currently is. Name and branding aside, this fragrance speaks for itself. There’s a grounded, earthy quality to it, with lush greens and a mineral freshness that feels both natural and refined. At its heart, it’s a beautifully constructed aromatic fougère, it has to be. The interplay of lime, ginger, and cardamom delivers a dry, green, and cooling effect that’s invigorating yet sophisticated. What truly anchors the composition is the musk. Acting as a subtle skeleton, it moves like a shadow beneath the top notes, adding depth and cohesion with every shift. It reminds me quite a bit of Clive Christian 1872 for Men, though this leans fresher, more upbeat, and far more accessible in price. Like 1872 and the best from Acqua di Parma, Santal Vulcanique carries that mature, grown man energy, elegant, composed, and quietly confident. This house continues to impress with bold, radiant creations, and Santal Vulcanique is no exception. Solid, charismatic, and effortlessly wearable. ⸻ Mr Ibanez, well done! :)

After reading the description, I was expecting something different. Not better or worse just different. What I do get is a warm spicy, woody, creamy scent. I smell the sandalwood and cedar but in the way a men’s shower gel would use sandalwood. It reminds me a bit of my husband’s favorite body wash that he buys in either Sandalwood or I’m also getting ginger and maybe cardamom. There’s something creamy in a light way not like a heavy vanilla. It must be a combination of sandalwood and ylang-ylang. After it warms up, it starts projecting even more warmth and spice. There’s an additional musk that keeps this clean and even sharp. The musk really takes over. I never pick up coffee in coffee scents. I feel I just don’t get what coffee is supposed to smell like blended in the other notes. Unless the perfume smells like a coffee bean, I don’t detect it. Overall, I am enjoying wearing this but think it would be best in a body wash. I'm a woman and would wear it (musk and ylang-ylang prevent it from going over the edge into fully masculine), but it does lean more traditionally masculine.

Very interesting, very savoury (on my skin) milky fig scent with plenty of edible spices and lovely sandalwood base. It reminds me tiny bit of Womanity, but just in beach vibe, here the fig (not listed but for my nose it plays like it) is more realistic, creamy and more savory. Its completely unisex and resembles many top 90s frags, I also get By masculine vibes from this. One needs to enjoy savory tones, not marine, but slightly salty. The first hour is very interesting, makes me think of perfect beach holiday, sunbaked skin, lovely cardamom note etc. But after an hour it becomes slightly cloying in a buttery way, it looks like ylang-ylang is in charge (double cream turned to thick butter), and that turns me off a bit. If your skin doesn't have a tendency to emphasise ylang-ylang, its probably lovely and sightly creamy in drydown. p.s. just in case, no coffee anywhere imo.

No idea what this has got to do with volcanoes... anyway, Lovely, fresh, sparkly opening. Ginger, Lime, Cardamom Some of that citrus softens back but doesn't get dull. The warmth in the cardamom shines through. Cardamom might be a tiny bit too centre stage for me, but it's not unpleasant at all. There's a note in here that reminds me of one of the very first fragrances I bought for myself, Man Uomo Zara. I think the AC used for the cardamom note must be the same in both, so a nice twinge of nostalgia. Sandalwoody, sexy, spicy, smooth dry-down. Not entirely sold on the ylang ylang note hiding in there, but there's not much of it, so i'll cope. VERDICT: Bright freshness and smooth spicy warmth in balance. A couple faint notes in there that bring it from a love to a like for me, but really I'm nit-picking, this is a very, very nice fragrance.

This one’s pretty interesting. I wasn’t crazy about it for a while but it’s slowly growing on me. Pretty crisp and bright, with a dry chalky quality. while fresh on the skin, the tangy lime comes out early but the dry woody sandalwood tones come out a bit later. It’s got a dusty, ashy, almost metallic quality that I didn’t like when fresh that has waned a bit a couple hours later. I keep thinking it was a bit chemically, overly dry. Im not crazy about sweet, ambers, or heavy musk scents but a little richness would have helped here. Maybe the vibe is beachy, marine, coastal... if you like scents on the crisp and minerally side, this may be for you. A slightly masculine scent but could go either way. It’s pretty complex and seems well made, but a little off my preferences.

I bought a sample decant of this to try out. I really liked it at first, it's a nice clean, woody, slightly spicy scent. Overall a solid sandalwood fragrance with some slight nuances that make it interesting. My girlfriend said she liked it but also said that it smelled like a "lolo, but not in a bad way", which I can actually see and sort of turned me off from it haha. If you aren't filipino, lolo is basically means grandpa or old man. Since she made that comment, I realized that this scent is reminiscent of my old church that I went to as a child. I still like this fragrance, but I probably wouldn't pull the trigger on my own bottle, especially since it now has connotations of old people and my old church haha.

Classy fresh scent, very nice lime. Dont understand why they went with the volcanique name or marketing, with better marketing this couldve been a lot more popular, its way better than Bohemian Lime but im gonna assume that sold a lot more than this, purely on marketing. This seems to be another safran secret sitation to me. The wrong name can hinder the fragrance. Rebrand this fragrance as a freshie and u could have something on your hands. Remove the volcano smoke and ash from the marketing and website, who came up with this..... lmao. This is lime + ginger its a fresh bomb, wtf it has to do with volcanic ash?!

It's a nice clean Sandalwood fragrance with fresh lime in the opening, but it becomes a Ginger-Sandalwood fragrance that overall is quite nice, good for all Seasons and all occasions in my opinion, it's not as strong as some of Maison Crivelli's more popular fragrances but it's good enough, medium longevity + projection, it's unisex but definitely leans quite masculine for me personally, not much else to say about this fragrance as if isn't that complex (not that that's a bad thing) Final verdict is a 7.3/10 for me

I like the description but I don’t think it matched the perfume. It definitely starts off a bit on the chalky/ ashy side but for me it turned powdery and creamy, somewhat floral. I get the sandalwood, cedar and musk primarily. Projection is noticeable but not super strong but that’s fine for me. Also, longevity is not wild. Skin scent is pretty and soft, but a bit feminine for me. I could do without the floral, creamy musk backbone personally. I’ll probably give this to my mom or daughter.

This is a good but not great scent like most from MC. I am from India and we are used to a very high quality of Sandalwood in almost everyday things. Santal reminds me of a regular afternoon shower where nothing exotic is happening but the life i am living itself is exotic by nature, I am just too naive to understand it. This is a clean, soapy kind of scent very classical of any sandalwood scent. My wife confirmed that this is indeed soapy. Smells like an Indian soap "Santoor". I like it.

This is a very pleasant scent that reminds me exactly of the Cacharel Pour L'Homme I used to wear as a signature scent in the late 1980's to 1990's. To my nose, it smells like the exact same thing. Interesting because it's not the scent profile I'd go for these days, but I would wear it because it reminds me of a scent I love. Thinking of buying a bottle but undecided. Would I reach for it much, given my preference for ambery vanillas? Not sure.

The most straightforward and predictable of the range but also one of the most well done overall. The sandalwood accord is a nice blend of Australian Sandalwood with some synthetics and spices to give a nice lift to the scent. I also pick up an aquatic aspect but it's very nuanced and more soapy than blue. Longevity is ok at about 6-8 hours. Overall a very well blended Australian sandalwood scent.

Something about this from initial spray just gives generic male aftershave, which is not what I want from Maison Crivelli at all. That being said, if you stick with it, it turns into a very creamy Sandalwood, slightly citrusy and spicy scent that reminds me of a toned down version of Santal 33. This is essentially Santal 33 for those who don’t like the overly powdery and aromatic aroma it has.

Sandalwood and cardamom with a bright citrus flare. Not groundbreaking. Not bad either. Nice. Could be an easy grab (outdated) for any collection at the right price. Not jumping at it. But wouldn't toss it out if given to me. Certainly wearable. Put it on this morning but it didn't match the mood of the day. Didn't excite me. Washed it off and went to something with more character, Akelarre.

At first I was really excited to smell this. Amazing unique sandalwood without the cream. At first I was really impressed but I got easily nose blind to it and cannot smell after 30 mins of applying. Sillage not as great as I expected. The tester seemed stronger than this. Still a great scent. Maybe it will get stronger by time

I was given a 5ml sample of this and am enjoying it. After I applied it this morning, I suddenly realized that this scent was quite familiar. Turns out that this reminds me of Creed Original Santal, which I also am a fan of. Haven’t done a price comparison yet, but one can’t lose with one or the other, or both.

Smooth sandalwood and patchouli, barbershop/shaving cream vibes, something that reminds me of blood orange. The cardamom is subtle and only really noticeable if you huff the area where you sprayed it. I get no coffee at all. It is nice, though.
