God and Moon

I recently got the sets for MdlA’s Chapitre 3 & Chapitre 4. God and Moon was by far my favorite, at first whiff! This is a truly beautiful and unique scent. I wore it to work today and spritzed once on my wrist and dabbed on my neck, then sprayed once on my dress. My son yelled down the hall asking what I put on because it smelled amazing. I think the strong/enormous silage settled to more moderate around 3-4 hours in, where people would walk into my office and compliment the scent. I’m 8 hours in and it’s still lingering heavier than just skin scent, I will get whiffs when I turn from where I sprayed on my dress. I love perfume but I’m not going to lie and say I could pick out all of the specific scent profiles. At first spray, I got a beautiful but more modern powdery note, but sweeter and more fruity than the powdery florals I’m used to. Once the scent mellowed a bit, I got a beautiful sweet, warm, woody scent. I think the Tonia and cardamom work beautifully together with the warm and comforting wood notes. I think this will be perfect all spring and autumn. I initially fought Creed Carmina but was underwhelmed by it’s silage and longevity and I am so happy that I happened to find this perfume house through their “recent releases” page!

This was an instant love for me. So intoxicatingly beautiful and comforting scent. It's not a screaming fragrance, I would say it is more on the sensual side. Opening feels slightly minty green, tuberose is tamed, and I can barely perceive any plum. Dries down beautifully in a sweet, smoky/woody goodness. Good longevity and intimate/moderate sillage, for a wearer to enjoy :)) Wears well in both cold and warm weather.

The davana is really strong in this at first. It starts really fresh, green & herbal. Then it gets more deep & woody. A dollop of honey over freshly ground coffee beans. It’s definitely interesting, I’ll give it that. I didnt get any tuberose or gardenia in this at all. Could just be me though. After about 20 minutes I can pick up the plum giving this a dark, sensual hint of fruitiness. Okay, now I’m enjoying this more it’s all coming together. Overall this became a deep, oud-y, moderately sweet, herbal, fruity tobacco (Tonka) scent in my opinion. It’s a pleasant smell. The beginning is very BAM in-your-face but it becomes softer with time. This is not a fragrance profile I would go for, so this doesn’t feel like me. But if the notes seem right for you, I’d say it’s worth giving a try. Honestly, as a person that has never liked any oud fragrances Ive tried, this might be the one that opens that door for me. I’ll be using my sample when the weather changes. Projection is moderate & this would be really lovely in fall & winter. OH & this is definitely perfectly unisex.

I find this to be smoky and earthier rather than floral/fruity, its a warm spicy fragrance that's perfect for the colder months. The tonka and agarwood add a really nice deep spice while the plum kind of floats on top. I cant quite place the coffee but it almost smells chocolately? i need to give this some wear to test out the longevity but I really like the way this smells EDIT: after four hours the woody/earthy notes have dissipated quite a bit and the warm spicy plum is left over i really like this scent its very rich/full bodied. Def would not be my choice for warmer weather, almost feel like it would go hand in hand with a luxurious long coat and some leather boots

On my skin, an aromatic woody and slightly sweet and spiced fragrance. I pick up notes of cedarwood, plum and pink peppercorn. The pepper note that i get from it gives off a very dusty impression, as if there is crushed pepper in the air as i take the scent in. On the dry down, i start to pick up on the oud, not animalic but balsamic and a rich woodiness. Around the 6 hour mark, all that is left is the balsamic oud note. Overall great but nothing to write home about. Longevity 10 hrs. Projection 6/10. Overall 7/10

Why does this smell like a patchouli bomb on me? My purse sized sample has had time to settle, but I get none of these notes on my skin. Perhaps I need to try it in another weather?

My first thought was: Honey Bun. Coming from someone who hates Honey Buns. Nausea inducing levels of syrupy sweet. Feeling compelled to wash it off. Very glad I only got a travel size. Might be the worst fragrance I’ve ever tried, coming from someone who’s not a fan of overly sweet synthetic smelling fragrances. First fragrance I’ve smelled that I actually can’t stand.

At the moment I'm really enjoying plum notes, so the notes of God and Moon really caught my eye and the beautiful bottle design also influenced me to try this piece. I haven’t yet had much expierience with davana, it is one material I have yet to get to know, neither have I smelled it in nature. But here it seems to be very prominent in the opening. In here it is sharp, green, almost menthol like, noticeable but at the same time not overpowering the other top notes. It appears along a creamy white floral, inseparable, not a distinct gardenia or tuberose and a suggestion of fruit. The plum for me appears mostly in mid and base stage. Combined with a deep, sweet vanillic honey note blending into a syrupy, warm, fruity edible, but not quite gourmand mid. The coffee and cardamom notes are exceptionally well balanced. Complementing each other, detectable, while not standing out as much as I expected, rounding and adding a little more depth to the composition. Not really a oudy base. For me, it dries down to just a dry wood. I think it’s delightful, could be a fantastic fall time daily signature for me, without the usual so repetitive cinnamon amber profile. 6.5/10

Wearing this makes me feel like an apothecary witch living in a big city. Lives up to its name for sure! It opens foresty aromatic with a dirty sweetness (honey), and then settles into its heart of silky smooth wood and earthiness with the coffee and tonka. Running through this is a subtle menthol freshness that gives this fragrance its ethereal air, the essence of moonlight reflected on a pool of water. Just very beautiful, and well blended.

This is a sexy nighttime plum scent. Reminds me of cassis a bit. It's too sweet, and I love sweet scents. But its sweet in the depth, like a red wine or a brown sugar as opposed to cotton candy or popsicle. I don't love this. It's almost like a sexy cough syrup. 6/10
