Nanyang

I typically lean toward deeper, richer fragrances with a bit more weight, but I was looking for something lighter, airier, and easy to wear—and Nanyang delivered in the best way possible. This was a blind buy, and I have to say, it was an unexpected win- in the most intoxicating and comforting way. The scent opens with a refreshing citrus and green tea vibe that instantly lifts your mood. It’s smooth, subtle, and feels incredibly refined. There’s a softness to it that makes it easy to wear, yet it still has an intriguing character. My wife loves this on me and can smell it hours later, and I actually received a couple of compliments on the first day I wore it. One person even turned around after I walked by to ask what I was wearing—so it clearly makes an impression. It’s an intimate scent, but it leaves a beautiful trail that others can pick up. Nanyang doesn’t scream for attention, but it whispers confidently. Perfect for when you just want to feel good without overwhelming your senses. I have 50+ fragrances in my collection and this is the most beautiful. A great addition to any collection looking for something refined, uplifting, and understatedly elegant.

Got my hands on all 3 fragrances from this perfume house, and was just amazed! living in Asia my whole life, I would always appreciate the memories and certain scents I have gathered through out the journey. And Im not sure how, but this perfume house has been able to capture the memories. To me, Nanyang is beautiful, it is fresh, green with citrus, yet sophisticated with leather and woody undertones. Not too sweet, and perfect for South East Asian climate. Despite being quite green and fresh at start, it is very long lasting. Perfect for a day time everyday type of wear, as well you could wear it at night. Definitely getting the second bottle of it. Looking for the next chapter to explore scents of different countries in a bottle!

Amazing fragrance. Starts off with a strong syntheticey lemon once you spray it but that fades fast into an amazing scent. A freshie with so much depth. My signature fragrance going forward. So glad I got this. Projects very good, lasts very long. Pricey but so worth it for me. It says unisex but definitely leans masculine. Great cologne/parfum.

I got so much attention even from strangers asking me what frangrance I am wearing! I personally love Nanyang scent but the other scent Lost Lovers had similar reactions from people too. I not only enjoy the fragrance but also received wonderful compliments from people. It's uplifting!

AMAZING. Absolutely beautiful. Longevity is not good on my skin whatsoever. But the scent .... oh my Lord .... 10/10.

I recently acquired a 50 ml bottle of this because I'm running out of my hot weather scents and wanted to up on something more niche but still something mainstreams. It performed nicely in the first rays of sunlight in April, so I'm quite interested of wearing it in higher heat as well. The scent starts of with a strong citrus note, which is somewhat synthetic, but not hitting the overbearingly synthetic part for me. The opening is still a nice one in my opinion. After the first hour of this dominant citrusy scent it starts to move towards putting the tea and the florals into the centre. This floral - citrusy tea scent remains for a couple hours while the scent starts to darken up a bit and the incense enters the composition. In the late dry down the scent becomes a slightly incense leathery amber which is not as heavy as the notes would suggest. On my skin this fragrance lasts around 10-12 hours, probably will still get 6-8 hours in higher heat. The projection at the start is quite strong, but later it lessens and becomes somewhat close, radiating around arms length or less. As for it being school appropriate I can say that this is completely safe to wear in that environment.

On my skin, upon first sniff, the opening is a very harsh chemically lemon rind. On the dry down it presents a smooth lemon rind, almost like a lemon chiffon cake. Base has subtle notes of leather, amber and vanilla smoothness. Longevity 5hrs. Overall 7.5/10

Elegant citrus tea with a hint of leather. Really enjoyable. Feels clean and well blended. Great performance. Dry down is comforting.

This opens like an iced lemon tea - refreshing and delicious - but dries down like rubber tyres on my skin. The leathery note is persistent and dries down similarly to perfumes that I have from Maison 21G - a vague synthetic powdery amber that gives me a headache. I've had to layer it with perfume oils from another independent Singaporean perfume house, Sifr Aromatics, to give the persistent leatheriness something to support, otherwise I'd just be scrunching up my nose for the rest of the day.

There is something a bit funky and animalic in this that doesn't agree with my nose, possibly the jasmine. Thankfully, it's less noticeable on skin than on paper, and when I wear this I mostly get the brightness of the lemon with some dustiness of leather. The scent feels old-school, like something I've smelled before, which makes sense because according to the marketing this perfume is supposed to combine "the old and the new". Overall I like it, but probably not enough to buy a bottle.

This smells like fresh tires to me, that very synthetic rubbery note. I couldn't get past that for the first few hours. After hour four it developed into a very subtle elegant tea vibe but the first few hours I could not stand this fragrance. Will try again in a few months to see if I can get past the very screechy rubber note in the opening.

Smells like a cheap clone of L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, but done more carelessly, with more artificial-smelling ingredients (and more vanilla in the base to please current tastes). The bright green-citrus on top, breezy white floral heart, with the mineralic-metallic (slightly funky-savory) base (provided here by saffron and an amber accord, whereas in Issey Miyake I smell ambergris). A '90s throwback neo-chypre, light and airy, geared toward the hypermarketed post-boho wellness crowd. It's not a bad scent profile by any means, but I'd honestly just rather smell the original. I received this sample as a free gift, and I've never heard of this house nor am I aware of its reputation one way or the other – but this feels roughly on par with a $30 fragrance I'd smell at Target. Just my opinion; take it with a grain of salt. 28% (Solidly Negative Plus)

Devastated to say this is a total miss for me. It smells like tires on my skin :( The citrus came out for a little bit but I didn't enjoy that either.

expensive-smelling citruses with leather. it carries same vibe with those "chic freshies" like aqua azzura, neroli portofino, ADP mandarin cologne series etc etc you get the tone love the base too. simple but very elegant. has something from a freshly opened Fanta bottle, but in a good, refreshing way.

This starts out bright, sunny, and lemony, evoking the feeling of sunshine, warm days, youth, and joy. As it dries down, it becomes a beautiful dry, leathery, musky tea scent. It feels comforting and close to home. A true tea scent complimented by it's leathery and woody facets.

Smells vaguely skin-like, with strong vanilla in the center. Not bad, but not my personal thing to wear!
