Eternal Oud

At first, the rose in the opening felt a bit too strong for me—almost overpowering. But after letting it macerate for a few weeks, it softened beautifully, becoming smooth, balanced, and elegant. the opening lifts with what seems like fresh lavender and bergamot, giving a crisp edge, but almost immediately gives way to a warm, plush core of rose, oud and spices. The oud here is not raw or barnyard‐heavy—it’s smooth, embedded in a silken wood and amber base that leans more elegant than overtly “Oriental bomb”. After an hour, it settles into a rich amber‐patchouli‐musk haze that wraps around the skin nicely. it’s sophisticated and versatile; not just for high‐drama evenings, though it certainly works there. It has enough depth to feel special, but also a gentler side that allows it to be worn more intimately. Longevity impressed me, I got solid wear throughout half a day and mild but pleasant trace into the evening. Ps: if you prefer very clean, light freshness, this may feel a bit heavy; and if you expect a raw, wild oud, you might find this more polished than primal. The projection is moderate: it announces itself initially but then behaves more cozy than blaring.

Just got back from the store and have Eternal Oud on my wrist. It smells very similar to Youth Dew, Estee Lauder bath oil, and Yves Saint Laurent Opium, Dana Tabu. A truly oriental, spicy scent. I have all three of them, so I left the Eternity Oud. For the price, it's a great perfume that lasts a very long time—about 8+ on skin and even longer on clothes.
