Hoàng Trà

The opening is the explosive sourness of pomelo and the slight bitterness of Petitgrain, followed by the characteristic light sourness of Osmanthus. After about 30 minutes the heart of the scent has appeared, benzoin and blending to make the tea note very luxurious (a luxurious tea scent i exactly like Neroli Outrenoir by Guerlain but less spicy - I am 100% sure when comparing because I am a connoisseur of Guerlain's neroli note. Impressive that a new perfumer from my country can make such a luxurious style of scent. I can say, Hoang Tra is a scent I can replace Neroli Outrenoir because of the price and design. In terms of performance, Hoang Tra sticks very well on my skin and the sillage is quite average (LOL even the way it shows on my skin is exactly like Neroli Outrenoir, I wonder if Thierry or Delphine shared the formula for this perfumer). 10/10 - For the scent, design and for the price. Congrats Maison de Nguyễn.

AT first, I want to mention its downside: the longevity is rather weak, lasting only about 5 hours. Other than that, the scent is absolutely wonderful, a tea note I’ve never encountered before, which makes me feel incredibly relaxed.

that opening pomelo note is a stunner! a scent that i would describe as Pretty, but not necessarily classify as feminine. once the fresh and citrus has faded, the drydown becomes grounded and linear but thankfully not boring or flat. an intense like, but not a love for me. i'll thoroughly enjoy my sample and look forward to trying more from this house.

Very much tea scent, at first it smelled like rich flavoured black tea with sugar (or smth sweet in your tea, that’s osmanthus must be), but ofc the more you smell the more it’s transforming into very fragrant green strong tea. Overall, it’s such an everyday perfume , pleasant and elegant

Reviewing an EDP sample from 2026.Hoàng Trà was launched in 2025. Hoàng Trà ( or Imperial Tea) is a woody oriental tea fragrance unlike any other. It opens with natural pomelo and bright tea notes followed by a beautiful soft floral leather accord from the osmanthus. The woody base is resinous ans aromatic. I continue to be impressed by Nugyen Do's artistry. Quality-5/5 excellent materials and blending Unisex -totally Performance -4/5 good sillage, lasts 4-6 hours Hoàng Trà is a unique tea fragrance fresh but with depth; citrus floral over leathery osmanthus. A contemplation of balance, it is stunning. 9/10
