Sirius

Sirius is warm, figgy magic—like being wrapped in a perfectly worn cashmere sweater that smells like tea, spice, and comfort... but make it sexy. This scent is cozy, elevated, and utterly addictive. The opening is a stunning swirl of cardamom, ripe fig, and creamy vanilla, touched with a hint of pink pepper and the sparkling resin of elemi. It’s instantly inviting, like the golden light at dusk. Then the heart steepens into something deeper—lush osmanthus and perfectly brewed black tea add an earthy sophistication that grounds the sweetness beautifully. The drydown is where the real magic happens. Mysore sandalwood, smooth tonka, soft vetiver, and glowy resins (benzoin and olibanum) create a finish that feels like warmth radiating from within. It’s plush, polished, and just keeps getting better the longer it’s on your skin. Totally unisex. Totally addictive. Totally Sirius. 10/10.

MdA know their way around warm, dark and sweet scents, there is no doubt. So I was surprised to find such a standout green scent in Sirius, a clear standout from the house to me. Of course it does have a lovely sweetness and a divine creaminess to it, but the gorgeous green fig note here provides the perfect juxtaposition to that. Refreshing, comforting and interesting!

Immediately upon spritzing, I get the spicy cardamom, sharp pepper, with a freshness from the fig and the warmth of vanilla. It is a very complex and interesting scent, but it all works together. However, once this dries down it becomes SUPER woody and masculine on my skin. It’s all sandalwood. I don’t get any tea or spice unless I bury my nose in my arm and then I will get the whiffs of black tea and a little spice under all the woodiness. I am finding myself disappointed as I have been chasing a chai scent for a while and it seems to work with other people’s skin chemistry. I still really like this scent it just isn’t for me. I am going to give it to my husband to try as I suspect it’ll work well for him.

A bit more green fig in the opening than I am used to, almost too sharp for my untrained nose, but that black tea and woody spice swoops in to save the day. I’m seriously loving the dry down. Longevity.. well this lingered for a longggg time on the edge of my sleeve near where I sprayed by wrist. Incredibly Very well done. A new favorite! More edgy than Gris, and Liam in my opinion.

I really like this one honestly! It doesn't have necessarily the sophistication that a more expensive perfume might have, but it smells really good and made me realize I'm more of gourmandy person than I originally thought. It's great for daily wear in the fall and winter, very cozy, but I'd use something else on a big night out.
