Karat EG

I was heartbroken when Sana Jardin folded and 'Tiger By Her Side" became harder to get. Here is another elegant, professional, expensive smelling fragrance by Carlos Benaïm to save my day! This lacks Tiger's sweetness and spice, but leans into an earthy woodiness that is also lovely. I am going to get the next size up after my sample and know I'm going to have to spring for a full bottle eventually. A diplomatic elegance, restrained to contain some mystery but with a universality to work across any aisle. A scent that is more Audrey Azoulay than Ursula von der Leyen. Thank you for your beautiful work, Mr. Benaïm, and to HaShem for your gifted nose!

I love the airy, earthy notes of the Maison d'ETTO line, and they are beautiful in Karat EG as well, creating woody and fruity facets to the initial burst of rose. Supported by a faint and sweet carrot, this perfume transitions to a balanced and unisex rose/patchouli/amber. In my opinion it is a modern, more wearable and unisex Portrait of a Lady. Though expensive, it's perfect as an update to a classic theme.

I bought several samples of this fragrance before I finally broke down and bought a full bottle. It is very pricey but it smells incredible. I get compliments on it daily. It is beautifully earthy with strong rose undertones and a powdery finish. It definitely has some projection and is quite long lasting.

Carlos Benaim x Maison d'Etto, the perfect combo!

Familiar but feeling somewhat unique, this is an extremely classy rose centered aromatic musky floral. The central note is a beautiful Turkish rose that is initially surrounded by some earthy notes and slight vegetal notes and progresses in to a firm patchouli amber musky base. The meticulously constructed unisex scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. Mysterious and charming. Enjoy!
