Sultry, dank, deep dive into the utter magic of tropical flowers. Every part of the life cycle, the glorious first bloom to the ferment of a flower folding to generate seeds. Tropical for someone who lives in and loves the wet heat of jungles, and the lure of blooms within. Wearing it is hypnotic. It's a scent profile I've been searching for. Verdades and Olympic Orchid's Tropic of Capricorn are the only perfumes that achieve my dream of a joyous festering fantasy world of tropical flowers. Perfection.

Masion D' Etto markets Verdades as an indolic orange blossom, so I am not sure why reviewers are punishing this fragrance for being a supercharged white floral. I personally love it, its how a niche floral should behave. Not mass appealing by any means, but it is a gorgeous rendition of orange blossom, neroli and jasmine. The contrast of the cool neroli, and warm vanilla base also make this perfect for year round wear. I can also see this being signature scent worthy.

Try for yourself, I think this fragrance is beautiful. Not screechy, not “too much”. I don’t wear beast mode perfumes, this one is perfect. Floral, fruity, sweet and quite alluring. This one has the best longevity I’ve experienced so far with Maison d’ETTO, sprayed some on my wrist last night and I can still smell it this morning.

The opening orange blossom is gorgeous and enough to tempt anyone into plunking down the money. I don’t agree with the negative reviews — yes, this definitely transforms after the first 30 minutes, but the white floral heart is high quality and lovely. Anyone who is curious, try it for yourself!

At first, a sunny and very pretty orange blossom, sweetened with vanilla. I really enjoyed as sultrier and less squeaky clean neroli. However, in the dry down becomes a hollow and cloying amber. I love the touches of earth and animal throughout this line and see the intent here, but this release misses the mark for me.

I wanted to love this one, and looking at the notes on this, it should have been a home run for me. On first spray I got a blast of dirty neroli and it was truly lovely. However, after about ten minutes or so it turned into this strange odor that reminds me of this natural balm I used to use on my children when they were sick and congested. I no longer smell florals at all. It’s cloying and offensive.

I went back and forth on loving and hating this one, and ultimately it's a no for me. It just weirdly reminds me of a type of bean paste dessert I ate growing up in China and that's something I definitely don't want to smell like. A very interesting take on white florals.

Smells solely of bell peppers to me.

Verdades could strip a chrome coating of industrial cylinders. It's an acidic, corrosive alien orange blossom growing in an amber woods dystopia. It's a frightful obstreperous, nearly rabid being of fragrance that shatters any semblance of beauty into grotesque and hazardous shards of contempt. There is almost the smell of rusty, bulging can of tomato soup, perhaps due to the metallic nature of certain ozonic components Rasquinet used in the composition. It sets off warning signals in the deep, primeval core of my brain, imploring me to stop smelling lest I begin to convulse from a perceived nerve agent. It is by far the one hideous outlier from Maison d'Etto.

Super orange blossom, super cloying. I am not a fan of orange blossom or neroli to begin with, but this is the worst of both flowers to me. It's the kind of sickly sweet that gets stuck in your nose and throat. Nauseating. I'm not getting much of an amber accord, honestly, though the artificial amber notes are noticeable as a man-made chemical and unpleasant. I get no rose, patchouli, citrus, or ozonic notes. It reads as a pure, artificial orange blossom/neroli/vanilla scent to me. Definitely not for me, but I am certainly biased against these notes. 1.5/10.

I'm bummed because I love Maison d'Etto and my everyday fragrance is from this house. But this scent just isn't it for me. When you first put it on it is noticably sweet but there is a strong amber note along with an ozonic sharpness that balances things. However as you wear it the vanilla and orange blossom take over and it becomes sickeningly sweet. It just doesn't have the depth that I expect from MDE and honestly is so disappointing. Unfortunately for me it does seem to have decent longevity and sillage, because it is giving me a headache.

This is sadly a chemical disaster from a reputable house that had some decent initial offerings. Designed as a floral amber, but completely overtaken by the overuse of Amber Xtreme and ambroxan, this is screechy and as the previous reviewer points a bit nausea inducing. Adding to the woes is that it is quite pricey. Should have not been released in my humble opinion without some testing. Tread with caution.

Jesus. It’s thick and treacly and downright frightening. On a positive note, the tiniest of micro-sprays to the wrists is a nice addition to some of my lighter neroli scents. It adds a long lasting backbone of amber sweetness. This 5ml decant will last a lifetime. 1 out of 5.

This is a magical, Fabulous perfume. I get compliments everyday, everywhere I go. For the bad reviewers, sadly you have bad taste. This perfumes is so unique and stunning!
