Coeur Heroique

From the very first spray of Coeur Heroique, I was blown away. The opening is where the sweet, almost innocent freshness of pear meets the rich indulgence of chocolate. As someone who typically avoids overly gourmand fragrances, I was immediately taken aback by how this chocolate note felt so subtle, delicate, and refined—never cloying, but inviting. It was as if the pear and chocolate were swirling together creating something smooth, velvety and simply irresistible. Almost reminding me of a fresher take on black phantom.. At this point, I was so deeply immersed in the opening that I wasn’t trying to dissect the layers. I simply surrendered to the fragrance’s allure, letting it transport me wherever it wished to go. Coeur Heroique is a perfume that demands you lose yourself in it, and from the very start, I did just that. As I went about my day, the fragrance evolved, and when I returned home after a few hours, I realized I was in a new realm altogether. The Akigalawood came charging in, bringing with it a depth and intensity that made my surroundings feel entirely different. The fragrance had transformed. It was no longer the light, sweet opening, but a bold, spicy embrace that now evoked the complex and heady atmosphere of an Arabian market. Despite my usual reluctance toward oud, the Akigalawood here had a magnetic, almost hypnotic effect on me. It wasn’t the sharp, overwhelming oud of some fragrances, but instead a more mysterious, almost skanky quality—a seductive edge that drew me in. And as if to balance this rugged intensity, a faint rose lingered in the background, offering a touch of grace and beauty amidst the spicy depths. Coeur Heroique is utterly unique. Goes on super light and fruity, evoking buttercream and pears. Sugary, fluffy, delicate. Settles down spicier and warm and i really started to notice the chocolate notes after a while. Really lovely, & pretty feminine. It comes across quite intimate in terms of projection but maybe I'm growing too used to the smell of it on me. Edit: definitely moderate rather than intimate projection! I definitely notice it on me throughout the day.
