Aqua Celestia Forte

Certainly when a space is uncluttered and clean, free from all excess and extravagance, one is more easily able to draw the mind inward and meditate. There is a serenity derived from this simplicity. In structuring the composition of ‘Aqua Celestia forte’, Mr. Kurkdjian appears to have pulled from this ideal and taken a streamlined approach to his creation. The basic elements of the original are all still present, yet are fairly more pronounced due to the higher concentration (now an “eau de parfum”). Mexican lime, Mitcham mint, French blackcurrant bud absolute, Provencial mimosa absolute, and a volatile musk accord intermingle to create a breathtaking scent. Deftly added are two complimentary, and yet not overpowering, notes to this “forte” reformulation. Italian petitgrain bigarade with its herbaceous and dry/bitter citrus qualities merrys well with the intense lime of the opening. Upon first spraying ‘Aqua Celestia forte’ the wearer can initially appreciate this additional ingredient as it imparts an intense green and briskness which is absent from its forebearer. In the mid-range, the second newly added note of Egyptian jasmine is perceptible combining with the delicate mimosa and blackcurrant bud absolute. Jasmine’s indolic qualities are somewhat hidden due to the more prominent citrus accord, yet faint nuances of the delicate white blossom’s sweet floralcy are present. The typical sexy and animalic characteristics of jasmine are tamed down, leaving behind a subtle creamy/floral quality which fits quite nicely in this introspective fragrance. ‘Aqua Celestia forte’ mirrors very closely to the original “eau de toilette” version. The two newly added notes are subtle, and likely not perceivable to the untrained nose. Their addition does however render a more sophisticated presence to the composition, one which feels richer and more robust. The higher perfume concentration is much more obvious as the projection, longevity and sillage are all amplified. ‘Aqua Celestia forte’, much like its predecessor, is an incredible warm weather scent. It will withstand the harshest of summer’s heat and humidity, all while creating an irresistible cooling effect upon the wearer. Both men and women can enjoy wearing this unisex scent, though its somewhat sweet undercurrent may be a detractor for some men. Overall, ‘Aqua Celestia forte’ is an adequate revisiting of last year’s ‘Aqua Celestia’ from Maison Francis Kurkdjian even if it doesn’t stray far from its family roots. I like this one to be honest even though in my opinion it leans more feminine it reminds me if tommy girl it brings me back to middle/high school and the hallways had a mix of this curve for men and acqua di gio and other days tommy for guys and Abercrombie fierce and lucky you for girls lol but yeah def has tommy girl notes in it but guys could pull it off depending on how u carry yourself and your look but all n all its a beautiful citrusy white floral summery scent i think i like it so much cuz a GF of mine from that time period kinda my first love wore tommy girl so it hits a soft spot with me cuz this has a similar smell but good late spring summer scent i would def buy a full bottle and kinda a safe blind buy also it wont offend anyone and is not a choke you out type of scent so u will be good in office and settings where u will be around alot of people for long periods of time but again leans more feminine in my opinion and like i always say this is MY OPINION of this and how it works with MY CHEMISTRY so it dosent matter what my opinion or the next person or the next persons is YOU should TEST IT OUT at a store or get a decant before committing to a full bottle at this price point if its below 50$ no harm no foul blind buying but at this price take my advice but if your like me and blind buy soemtimes u will be fine u will have a tommy girl type scent but more mature and smoother and less piercing and safer lighter so thats just MY OPINION and u know what they say anout opinions they are like as****** EVERYONE HAS ONE !!!

This is basically a bougie citrus/floral that has some pretty uncommon notes that elevate it from other fragrances in the same category. There are no aquatic or marine notes to speak of which tend to be common in citruses, but we've got a green citrus sort of thing going on here. The petitgrain and black currant blossom are cute little outlier notes that make this a noteworthy fragrance. I do appreciate something a little different for my aquatic/citrus collection as they tend to have rather predictable notes. The hedione is a call back to Eau Sauvage for me and I'd say it's a more modern, contemporary fragrance. I'm not entirely in love with it but I appreciate its eccentricity and it's fairly high on my list in the category. Edit: Some months later after writing this review, I've pretty much fallen in love with this, it's a great performer, scent is luxurious, and it's for summer... kinda rare. Top 5 right now.

Gorgeous. Vibrant, green minty citrus freshness that's pure, crystalline, transluscent, like clear spring water between sunlight and shade. The characteristic MFK sheen is present here to great effect, making this eminently refreshing. This is one to wear on the hottest days - its glasslike sharpness could make mincemeat of heat and humidity. By far the my favorite of the Aqua Forte line, and the most masculine. 9/10 Edit: Finally got a full bottle of this. Compared to my sample, the performance out of the bottle is incredibly powerful. I sprayed once under my shirt and once on my wrist and almost got choked out. The scent was constantly radiating and projecting for over 6 hours, and lasted on skin until I got in the shower the next morning. If you're looking for a powerful summer fragrance, this is definitely one to check out. Worth the high asking price.

I want to add this after quite a few hours of wearing this the first spray this has a tommy girl smell to it but the drydown or the base of it smells like aqua di gio this is excellent stuff in my opinion these are 2 frags i love though and have memorable moments with them cuz aqua was one if my first cologne purchases and where girls complimented it and tommy girl was a perfume one of my first crushes/love wore so im kinda biased but like i always end my reviews this is MY OPINION and what i think ir the next person or the person after that thinks means NOTHING its what you think about it and your chemistry so buy a sample or decant or go to a store and spray it on youe skin if possible to see if YOU like it before u make a full bottle commitment esp something in this price range so ...and opinions arenlike as****** EVERYONE HAS ONE !!!!!!

★★★★★ There has been some serious thought on my behalf regarding my purchase of Aqua Celestia Forte. I have sampled it so many times since its release and there was always a little voice from within whispering "don't pay niche amount of money for a freshie" Now that Aqua Celestia Forte has been purchased, I can safely say that it's the first time ever for me to experience a crystal clean and invigorating fresh scent with a tremendous performance (24hours and strong sillage throughout) The scent reminds me of the 90s in a certain manner, and specifically scents like Tommy Girl and Polo Sport Woman. Having said that, it's a perfect freshie for everyone, timeless, genderless and simple in a beautiful way. The most underrated scent of Kurkdjian's current line up.

This is the first time I wore aqua celestia forte, it exceeded my expectation. Opening is a room-filled fresh citrus and white floral scent, mildly sweet and minty, it’s like the most yummy pink lemonade you’ve ever taste. The dry down is just heavenly, it tones down the opening and adds a slightly musky and powdery note to the scent. I love the dry down more than the opening, it radiates a subtle beautiful aroma that is so refreshing, elegant and intoxicating. I wore it during work, and I worked a straight 4-hour project without feeling any tiredness or needed rest, all I thought of was how good this fragrance smelt on me! It is definitely a compliment getter, if you wear this in an office, brace yourself for compliments! 🙈

I've ordered another 10ml. I must write on this one again. I have been exploring summer citruses for a couple months now and the thing about ACF is that its performance is remarkable compared to many other fragrances in this genre. It's been a fallback for when I am concerned about longevity, sillage, or projection. The scent is high quality, uncommon, and oozes class or luxury. It's mature, and criminally slept on. I have no complaints, there, however, since it's signature scent material and I'd love for it to stay that way. I mean, it's the fourth least popular fragrance in my collection, but the fifth best rated scent for summer. It's a gem.

I am speechless on the performance of this fragrance. MFK Aqua Celestia forte is very strong and potent, almost harsh to my nose. One spray was enough to fill an entire large room for hours. It lasted more than 24h on my skin. I mean, what was that? I bought it with some samplers from MFK, so I am not sure if they send some crazy concentrated juices as samples to win the customers' hearts. The scent is beautiful but should be used not on human skin. It resembles home diffuser scents. Nothing super unique or interesting. It is nice, but I don't see myself wearing it very much. Let's see if it grows on me.

I've been collecting fragrances for about 5 years now and have never smelled anything like this. A gorgeous citrus fragrance that lasts for-EVAH. I've received more compliments wearing this fragrance than any other I own. I'm very sensitive to those scratchy aroma chemicals designed to make fragrances last longer, and the dry down of this is just as beautiful as the opening. None of those scratchy notes to ruin the experience. I just bought a backup in case MFK (or their corporate overlords) ever decide to discontinue it, especially since they've discontinued so many beautiful fragrances in the past.

WOW this is super underhyped! A hidden gem for citrus lovers. It is so aquatic, natural, fresh. It smells divine! My favorite MFK so far. Might need to get a full bottle. Update: I sprayed a tester strip ONCE like A WEEK ago and it still smells divine and projects like crazy! I will get this. Update 2. After looking into some cheaper options, I found a dupe for this. ZARA Gracefully Madrid smells 99% the same to me as this one and has also beast mode performance on me. I am happy I found a ZARA option :D but if you want to stick to the original thing and have the fun money, MFK is also still great!

I own the EDT, & amazingly enough it performs quite well. So I surely thought this would be a very good "Intense" version. I sampled this today & it was a good & poor experience. The smell off the top is certainly intensified with a big gorgeous punch of lime & mint, but I couldn't believe that 2 hrs later that gorgeous scent was gone & I mean totally. My EDT lasts all day & projects all day, so how is the EDP gone in 2 hrs? I love Kurkdjian & this is an improvement in scent, but it appears that performance is an epic fail for this one. I will certainly try again however hoping I'm wrong.

Incredible long-lasting citrus freshie. There is a slight floral nature to this, which may lead this perfume to be considered slightly feminine by those around you. That's the only thing stopping me from immediately buying a bottle. But then I guess you could make the argument that perfumes are for you to enjoy and no one else. Either way this is definitely in my top ten, and my favourite from the house. Performance on my clothes is easily 12+ hours. I wore a jumper over this and I was still catching whiffs on the drive home. 9.5/10 Sampled from MFK's website.

Most reviews mention that this is suited for summer and spring, being a freshie scent. But I actually bought my bottle during winter -- after spraying a bit it in the shop, walking around in the mall, getting a waft of a gorgeous scent and then realizing it was this on my wrist! I guess the musk base note made it perfect for winter days too even if the top notes are citrus fresh ones. I consider this a safe scent -- inoffensive, refreshing and uplifting. Projection, sillage and longevity are all excellent. I really get a lot of compliments when I wear this!

Ok- let’s get this straight from the get go. I’m not a fan of ‘fresh’ and ‘citrus’ fragrances. This is ‘out there’ for me. I love tuberose, I love vanilla, I love woody, I love dark, sexy and warm fragrances. But hold up - THIS - THIS might just make me stop and rethink my preferences. THIS is lime, sparkling, vibrant, fresh and totally intoxicating. THIS makes me want to to stray off my traditional path. I love it. It’s spring and summer - it’s hope and optimism in a bottle, Beautifully blended and oh so addictive. THIS is worth the deviation. I love this.

I wore this for the first time today and got a compliment from a woman working at Pret a Manger, where I buy my morning oatmeal. Fresh, citrusy, and not a single harsh note in the dry down. This lasts forever on me. I knew I’d love it when the tester strip I had thrown on my desk when I got home perfumed the room for days afterward. I rushed out the next weekend and bought some. I prefer the Forte to the Aqua Celestia EDT but they’re very similar and you can’t go wrong with either one.

A long time ago I wasn’t huge into citrus scents but my god this is a outstanding fragrance. This made my truly love citrus scents. I’ve tried others such as CDG Lime but the longevity just wasn’t there. I actually chose this as my wedding day fragrance and my wife had Le Beau from MFK for herself. On my skin, even in the 90 degree heat, it stayed for a while. Seriously impressed. Holding onto my bottle for as long as I can.

Such a beautiful scent! In my opinion the Forte is more suited for me, where I found the original Aqua Celestia fit better on my wife. They both could be unisex I suppose but that’s just my take on it. This one feels like the men’s version. Very very nice, and for a fresh scent it’s very strong and lasts a long time!

My go to summer scent. Green citrus with a hint of floral and clean musk. Lasts pretty good for a freshie. Reminds me of Creed VIW just replace coconut with green notes.Unisex. Out of this, aqua univeralis and vitae, this one is most masculine, like 55/45 on feminine side. Greate clean, fresh summer scent. 8,5/10

this made me go WOAH. one of the best summer fragrances i have ever smelled. this is amazing. i did not expect much from this but it blew me away completely. Might have to buy a full bottle. It's the softest, most natural lime and lemon fragrance. This is actually crazy good what the hell???

This smells like if you took Torino 21 and added some florals to it. Lemony, aquatic, minty, refreshing. Perfect for the hot weather. Performance is great. 2 sprays and it’s choking me out. I could still smell it 12 hours later. 9/10

Absolutely fantastic, uplifting fragrance. Everytime I wear this it feels as if I've teleported to the ocean at night, with stars all around with an exhalted-like vibe. Longevity is excellent and performance is spectacular.

first 20 min smells like 85% pacific chill but in a good way, very bright, very fruity citrus, dry down it turns a bit more sweeter and fresher, if ur into this kind of profile its a banger, longenvity is like 7/10

Smells like a fresh, delicious, mojito with a seltzer fizz, I love it! I would love a full size bottle but it is pricey and my husband doesn't love the scent as much as I do so I probably won't splurge on one.

Wow, how did I missed this release? This is the best fresh, citrus, clean, soapy, laundry deterrent, shower gel I've smelled. Perfect signature scent! This will definitely be in my "fresh scent" collection.

Luxuriously clean. Francis Kurkdjian has a unique ability to create expensively smelling everyday scents. If clean synthetic musks smell good on you, look no further. Excellent quality that lasts for hours.

Every time I wear this I get a compliment. Last weekend I got two. And not just regular compliments. Women absolutely swoon over this. I never get compliments on any other fragrance so go figure.

A really calming scent, a great pick-me-up for those hot days. Longevity is great I get around 7-8h of decent intensity. Sometimes pushing 9h. After that it’s a skin scent but it’s still there.

If you want to feel fresh for whole day, celestia forte probably will be great choice. high quality, super fresh and clean, and very long lasting 8 hr+.

Acqua Celestia Forte EDP opens with a moderate projection of mostly citrus accords. The lemon and the mint come up first with very sharp, slightly sweet, and intense tone; the lime and petitgrain are next, this last one adds citrus and green accord that goes well with the mint. As the fragrance commences to dry-down, the musks come up creating a boosting accord; the musk feels clean and aromatic. The flowers listed in the heart of the fragrance add a combined floral touch that is prominent but does not lean the fragrance to the feminine side; some of these flowers add soft fruity accords that enhance the ones found in the opening. The most noticeable change from the opening to the dry-down is the dissipation of the initial sharp citrus accords which get enveloped by the musk. Once Acqua Celestia Forte EDP has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, clean musk, citrus, and petitgrain fragrance with white floral accords. BLIND-BUY: Yes, but only if you are familiar with the notes found in this fragrance. SIMILAR: Ferrari Essence Musk features clean musk, woody, and citrus accords. Batch Code: 18040 Production Date: 2018-02-09 At this point my bottle is more than 5 years old and to be honest the 1st 10 seconds I sprayed it for this review I thought that the citrus notes had gone off. The smell was very bitter and not at all lime like but within a minute the lime and mint started coming out, at first very sharp tart and astringent but softening over time. In the opening I can see how people get that celery note; my brain interprets it as lime but I can see how that bitter aspect would make it seem like celery to others. In the drydown the lime-mint fades into the background and the white florals come to fore with black currant peeking out in the background. Gentlemen, if you are intimidated by white florals you are going to think this leans fem; I’m fairly comfortable with florals and find the scent perfectly unisex. In the late drydown the scent goes very musky and soft with the faintest hint of citrus. As with most citrus musk scents the longevity could be better but that poor performance seems to be par for the course with this scent profile. Paying niche prices for a short lived summer scent may be madness for some but it was a bit of a splurge for myself and I find it the perfect scent for daytime use in warmer weather when I’m trying to make an impression with that special someone. Bright, lively and refreshing would be the words I would use to describe this fragrance. One of my favorite summer scents.

Own a decant of this, wore this yesterday, easily lasts 8-9 hours so longevity is pretty good. However, this is more of a cool Spring fragrance than a summer one, at least in my area. Citrus opening was great, but like most citrus fragrances, it dies down after 30-90 minutes, and this one goes into floral territory very quickly for most of the day. The florals were almost becoming too much in hot humid weather, but as soon as I went back inside with A/C for an hour, it cooled down into a pleasant more tolerable floral. Overall, definitely leans more on feminine side, but I can see some men rocking this. After the citrus and florals fade a bit (after 2-3 hours), it does smell like an extremely fancy laundry sheet. After 6 hours, a faint "cat pee" smell begins to appear for about 10-20 minutes, then fades away. Apparently this EDP isn't made anymore? I can easily see why: paying almost $300 for what is basically a very fancy laundry sheet is absolutely insane. EDIT: my husband likes this on me. Tried it again and sprayed more times throughout the day (3 times, three times a day). The florals really come out sweet in 75-85 F weather, but anything above 85 it turns sour and becomes unpleasant. If I see this on sale somewhere, I'll get a larger bottle if it's still even around. The drydown after 2-4 hours turns into very pleasant florals but loses more projection.

I’ve been hesitant to review this for so long that I’ve almost finished the bottle (and it’s not one that I wear frequently). It’s interesting to read other comments, as it really is a fascinating insight into how different one scent can wear and be interpreted. Some have noted that, for them, this is lightweight, inoffensive, and fleeting; whereas, for me, it is super powerful and beyond long-lasting. I love LOUD scent, and I generally use it abundantly (perhaps even obnoxiously so by some measures). This is so loud though, that I have to apply it very judiciously; usually just one or two short sprays to my clothes. If it’s too close to my nose, I end up with a migraine, which is ironic because, a friend who is usually very sensitive to fragrance always compliments me when I wear it. I enjoy the scent. I find it very fresh and, as previously noted, (on me at least) it is extremely long-lasting. That being said, because I have to be so careful with the application, and always risk a headache, I wouldn’t consider buying again.

Lemon, green, fresh, 100% unisex, for hot days, in summer. Not so original, overpriced... Same vibe of replica: under the lemon tree (a good alternative). It is really a cologne. Perfect for office or for a brunch with friends, family, etc. Inoffensive. 6/10 In this brand, for fall and winter, I prefer Gentle Fluidity (9/10) = Oud Satin (9/10) > Baccarat Rouge 540 Ext (7/10) = Baccarat Rouge 540 (7/10) > Oud Silk (5/10) In this brand, for summer: I prefer L'eau à la rose (8/10) > Aqua Vitae forte (7/10) > Aqua Celestia forte (6/10) > A la rose (6/10) > Aqua Universalis forte (4/10)

A much more "full" citrus scent than "Aqua Universalis" (EDT), which is much more floral, "Aqua Celestia Forte" would be nice and bright on a warm day, or cheery and comforting on a cold blustery day. An excellent fragrance.....but just on the verge of headache-inducing (even after a couple of hours). And, the most prominent "lime" I have so far come across in a fragrance. "Clean", and easy-to-wear, I am glad I [only] bought a travel spray of this scent.

This has a clean, floral vibe to it. The jasmine and musk are noticeable from the start, definitely more floral than citrusy. However, it gets more citrusy in the later stages, which is unusual. Longevity is excellent. I found it way too feminine and gave it to my wife instead. I don't know how this can pass for unisex, I think Monsieur Kurkdjian pushes the boundaries with the unisex label, this, Silk Mood, and a few others are totally feminine imo.

The original is an offputtingly sour lime with prominent mint and blackcurrent notes. This adds aromatic accords to smooth it out and comes off mintier to my nose, both of which I much appreciate. However, the performance is just as poor and I can't justify paying what it costs for something that performs this poorly, <2hr projection and 4-5hr longevity. I like the scent, though I prefer the orange and white florals in Aqua Universalis.

The most shower gel scent in my collection. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. On one hand, I appreciate the masterful blend, the punch in your face citrus fresh blast On the other hand it can get quite generic and boring to you after a few wears. Reminds me mostly of Xerjoff Nio & LV Afternoon Swim. The scent itself is a safe blind buy, very easy to like.

The opening is extremely green. Imagine gardening and you're pulling out weeds and then you crush all the weeds in your hand. That is the opening. It gradually softens to a bright citrus - like grating the zest of a lemon. Very realistic scent, but that's the quality you would expect from MFK. Overall, nice, it is not a 'wow' scent but nor does it try to be.
