Aqua Universalis Forte

This is the guy that revolutionized the designer fragrance game when he introduced us to Le Male back in 1995! Acqua Universalis Forte is one of my very favourite frags in my collection. In fact, currently it ranks number 3 overall (Niche/Design)..... Here's an interesting tidbit: I've read that this was one of the concepts that Francis Kurkdjian had pitched to the creative directors at Giorgio Armani for Aqua Di Gio...... Thankfully for him and for myself, it lost out to what is NOW Aqua Di Gio; and thus, he released it later on under his private House (Acqua Universalis Forte)..... IMAGINE: Stretched out in your Cabana or lawn chair in your backyard on a cool late spring-mid summer afternoon..... There is a gentle cool breeze blowing and there are beautiful whites hanging on a clothesline very close to you, projecting the most amazing/refreshing high-end fabric softener so appealing to your nose......you like? Well, this is Acqua Universalis a Forte to the Nth degree!!! Right off the bat you get a powerful, yet not overwhelming blast of sweet, citrusy lemon. Right away, it is followed by a soft, uplifting Jasmine/Rose combination.... For me, this is pretty much what you'll get throughout the entire duration of the fragrance.... Sweet, crisp clean linen is what you get. Even when the fragrance has completely left your skin, you'll simply get a soft Woody, musky scent.... Sprays: I go 4-6 sprays... (2on the chest, 2 on the neck and one at the top of the head). This might sound a bit outrageous to some of you, but although this fragrance is somewhat heavy;ironically, it doesn't project all that well. What I found truly unique about this (few fragrances have in common is): while the projection is not that great, meaning it won't put anyone on blast or grab anyone's attention, it DOES HAVE excellent sillage... People will notice it, they will like it and they will know you've been there (kinda like "who was THAT"?) LONGEVITY: 6-8 Hrs. I don't even count the drydown because once it starts to dry down its basically left your skin and is reduced to just a very soft woody musk.... OCCASION: Smart casual, an afternoon or early evening date..... At a party, engagement bash.., etc!!! SEASON: Summer for me BIG TIME! Yes you can wear it during the spring and early fall, but trust me when I say this baby really sparkles brightly during those hot, humid summer days when you need that little something to perk you up. In this respect, A.U.F is very uplifting, very invigorating. It's like a bright light!!! CAVEAT: If your a guy that is truly confident in his own skin & sexuality, you will pull this off in a fabulous way. If you're the type that is skiddish about wearing florals, then I suggest you STAY CLEAR!!! Not to worry, all is not lost, because thankfully in his discerning tastes, Francis Kurkdjian has also created Aqua Universalis (drop the Forte), which is almost identical less that floral note that might be a bit awkward/unneasy for some... When you study the note breakdowns...., it's that Jasmine/Rose composition that may scare some of you men and perhaps leaving you feeling: "too feminine for me"! CONCLUSION: while it may not knock everyone's socks off I give this frag an overall A-A+ or 9.5/10. I LOVE this scent! It Very bright, very invigorating, and it is very unique in that as a CITRUS in that it remains SHINY during its ENTIRE duration.... Only one other citrus or Aqua type scent approaches that level of performance for me right now and it is Bergamote22 by Le Labo... This is EXACTLY WHY it's number 3 overall in my collection! I used a sample of the original Aqua Universalis and was wondering what the difference between AU and AUF truly is. I got a sample, wore it until it ran out, and bought a bottle 2 months later. Having owned this for a little over a year, I can say that I prefer this version better. The Smell: It smells like the original Aqua Universalis with the florals dialed up to 11. The citrus is still present and hangs around for quite a while. When I first tried this version, I was immediately struck by a memory of being a kid with my grandma at a beauty salon. When my grandmother was at her appointment, I distinctly remember smelling flowers and I think that's what AUF reminds me of in a way. It may be why I connect to this version better. The woods and musk make this thing last and hang around all day long. I couldn't quit smelling my wrist when I sampled it. The only knock again AUF is that it smells SLIGHTLY feminine but that's due to the florals in my opinion. This is unisex and anyone can pull this off if they wish. It's currently my scent of the day and I can't quit smelling it on my wrists. A year later and it's no different from first sniff. Smell: 10/10 Projection: AUF should project. Forte means LOUD. It does project for quite some time, but it does not project for longer than 4-6 hours. AUF is a lighter scent but with more projection. More projection doesn't mean that it has to melt your face off for 10+ hours. I think for what AUF does, it is great projection but I will deduct some from it since I wish it wouldn't become a skin scent almost immediately after that 4-6 hour window. Projection: 7/10 Price: $275 for 70 mL ($3.93 per mL). It's pricey but almost all of MFK's scents are around this range. I also know (owning 3 others by MFK) that I get what I pay for when I purchase one of his creations. It performs and smells great. I willl, however; look at the vast majority and, honestly, it's still high on that end. Price: 6/10 Versatility: Anywhere, Anytime. Possibly signature scent worthy but, due to the price, many will steer clear of making it a signature. I've worn it every season and it has performed. It's an inoffensive scent and can be worn in a variety of situations. Aqua Universalis Forte is one of the best from the house. It will be overshadowed due to the success of BR 540 but I still believe it's worth picking up a sample. If you own the original AU, I highly recommend giving this one a try. You may fall in love all over again.

To my untrained nose, quite a lot of MFK perfumes (namely Aqua Universalis Forte, Aqua Celetia Forte, Aqua Vitae etc.) have a gentle saltiness undertone. Some are stronger than the others. (Eg. Aqua Celetia Forte stronger than Aqua Universalis Forte), but not in a unpleasant way at all, nor does it appear to be genuine sea salt note. This faux note could be contributed by white floral and musk combined together, I cannot tell for certain. Maybe someone here can enlighten me. This citrus opening is prominent without being too sharp and detergent-like, adorned with white floral. Creamy and smooth. White florals here are very noticeable but aren’t screaming for attention. It’s given me a mental picture of a big dewy bouquet of white flowers sparkling in the first beam of sunlight in summer morning. About 30 mins after a spritz, lemon bergamot are taking a backseat, allowing the woody musky floral to take charge. Florals are more apparent at this stage, but only create a sketchy, shadowy impression: I can’t quite smell the rose nor jasmine sticking out, feeling that the roses are lending their gentle sweetness to the lemon citruses, giving more depth and making it more rounded, while this jasmine is mingling with musk and woodsy notes at the backstage. It’s soapy clean, but also reminds me of sweat. It’s almost like sweat but only better. Is this why people call this sexy? Contradicting isn’t it? It’s almost like saying “my body is clean, except my mind”? LOL. Alluring but not right in your face? Then not much development from that point on to the end, just fading gradually. It’s very clean, youthful, classy and versatile scent. Not the type I normally go for, but loving it.

"Fresh, Clean, and Crisp" I have always struggled with summer fragrances because they are typically boring or have lower longevity. Likes of Xerjoff 1861 Renaissance and Amouage Reflection have solved the problem, but they are not suitable for daily office use as much as I love them. They are too sophisticated, or still have ingredients that give them a little attitude. They are like driving a Ferrari to Walmart for grocery shopping, and just don't seem to work in the environment I work at. Aqua Universalis Forte has been a great solution, and it is a pleasant departure from the usual summery fragrances. It is extremely crisp, fresh, and clean, but not boring. It smells great, but not too complex. It has a decent sileage but not piercing. It gets attention, but doesn't suffocate. The opening gives a blast of florals and citrus, and it pretty much stays the same until the end. It has some soft musk and woods in it, but not noticeable until the dry down. The dry down stays close to the skin. It just feels so good to take a morning shower, spray Aqua Universalis Forte, and go to work. Two things to keep in mind: First, some men don't like floral scents because they think it is feminine. If you are one of those guys, stay a way from it. Second, the retail price of $275 USD is not justified for Aqua Universalis Forte in my opinion. It is really nice, but not $275 nice for a 2.4 oz. bottle. How lucky I was to find it for $145 USD.

There's not much I can add that hasn't been said already, other than my own experience of this fragrance. I absolutely love the original Aqua Universalis and it is this fragrance that introduced me to the MFK line of perfumes. Forte is indeed a stronger version of the original with excellent longevity, coupled with just the right level of projection, so no qualms from me on performance. However, the addition of the rose not only pushes this towards the feminine side, in my opinion, it also alters the composition so that the citruses are less noticeable and the beautiful lily-of-the-valley is diminished. To be honest, I'm not a lover of rose anyway. I find it 'old fashioned' in many fragrances; probably as a result of smelling rose scented toiletries at my Nan's when I was a kid! So perhaps my assessment is unfair but how I wish Mr Kurkdjian had chosen something other than rose to flesh out this composition. Interestingly, the rose note is listed as the least noticeable in the votes above, yet I detect it quite strongly throughout the life of the fragrance. As one reviewer has already noted, this does rather feel as though it's trying too hard especially as the original is just so fresh and lovely and gives me everything I need. However, these are only my personal preferences and there's no doubting that AUF is a fine fragrance with great performance.

Raid. Seriously. If you love the scent of Ortho’s bug spray then this frag is for you. Forte is a serious mistake (or joke) in perfumery that should be avoided at all cost. Speaking of cost, this Kurkdjian person has the nerve to charge $275 US for this stuff. If brutal, acerbic, indelicate citrus is your thing, I recommend the non-Forte eau de toilette as there is less of the Raid bug spray accord. And since you were thinking of spending all that money on Forte, you can buy the 200ml EDT for $225 and have money left over to buy an actually pleasant fragrance. Barney's Route du Thé lasts longer, has much more sillage, is more delicate and beautiful on women and men, and can be had for $75 US. Save your money and buy the real deal. And since I'm hating on MFK for the moment, I have to comment on their packaging. I love the Bodoni-variant typeface and the bottles are shaped exquisitely. What bugs the crap out of me is the uncoated aluminum tops on the EDTs and the gold caps on the parfum versions. Im sure the packing designer reasoned “what a lovely juxataposition” but in reality it’s super ulgy. The EDTs should have a coated silver cap and if you really want to impress us with the parfum, keep the caps gold. The ‘backwards flipped K / K’ logotype is a travesty of graphic design too.

In comparison to the original 'Aqua Universalis', both sillage and longevity are improved by this 'eau de parfum' concentration, becoming heavier and more long lasting respectively (it certainly extends the life of the fragrance on the skin). Perfect to be worn during the warmer months of the year, it carries the ability to transform into something especially sexy on a humid summer night. The added floral absolutes definitely lean this fragrance more toward the feminine side of the gender spectrum, away from the original's unisex categorization. Certainly both men and women can and should enjoy this fragrance, it is just my opinion that some men may find the overtly floral heart too feminine to wear confidently. To conclude, I am actually partial to this fragrance's earlier rendering, 'Aqua Universalis', despite the higher concentration of the "forte" blending. The additional floral notes in 'Aqua Universalis forte', however captivating and intriguing, give a redolent sweetness which is subjectively too exuberant for my tastes. Love ... Love... Love <3 Oh my – this is soooooo gorgeous! This perfume is so me and fits me like a glove. It is as Francis made this perfume just for me! Tender jasmine and ily of the valley are very prominent at first, bit later, as the fragrance warms up, the musk and rose appear. It is hard to put in word how this perfume makes me feel, adjectives’ like - Fresh - Clean - Positive - Up-lifted - Put together - Makes me feel like a million bucks - Strong - Focused - Kind - Lovely - Compassioned - Feminine come to mind. Fits nearly all occasions and settings (maybe not the romantic one, although a lot of men find this fume sexy) but works perfect in office environment, everyday activities as well as formal settings in the evening. Glows and shines minutes after in contact with warm skin, therefore better for spring, summer, autumn and not so cold winter weather. This perfume is like a diamond, fits any color outfit and style and can either dress up an outfit or down. Worth every penny!

This is marketed as unisex, but it is definitely feminine to my nose. I love unisex fragrances, but I would feel very uncomfortable wearing this in public. It is one of the most beautiful scents I have ever smelled. It is very flowery, clean, fresh and airy. It is also one of the most expensive smelling fragrances I have ever smelled. This is the case for any MFK fragrance. They all smell like liquid diamonds. This is definitely for women 25 and up. It is a very sophisticated scent and not very suitable to be worn casually. I can imagine if you are a woman and would wear this to a wedding, formal dinner or event, you will be the centre of attention. When I smell this, I see a very beautiful woman in a long white dress. This is the scent of an angel. Scent: 11/10 Projection: 9/10 (Projects for a good 3 hours) Sillage: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 (12h+) Versatility 10/10 Uniqueness: 10/10 Price-performance: 8/10 (You pay big, but it is worth it) Total: 9.5

Clean, crisp, freshly starched white-shirt scent for the kind of wealthy people who have estates, butlers, and a Rothschild in their network. I don’t understand people who complain of projection or staying power. It’s aggressively strong and long lasting to me. In fact, I wouldn’t spay this too close to my nose. Maybe you’re anosmic to MFK laundry muscs the way I am anosmic to his airy amber sweets? Unisex fragrances aren’t my thing. Either it leans masculine and I refuse to wear it, or it’s feminine and wouldn’t want my guy wearing it. In this case, though, I want this for myself and I’d greatly appreciate it on a man. Btw, people who leave reviews strictly based on price point need to learn some sophistication. Not every expensive scent needs to be some avant-garde, beast mode, attention seeking loudmouth. I find several of the MFK aquas very appealing, this one being my favorite so far. Laundry fresh must be my aphrodisiac.

I wasn't too impressed on first sniff. I thought the opening was okay, but smelled strongly of cleaning products. As time went on, I kept catching whiffs in the air and they were way more than cleaning product! Airy, clean, beautiful and pretty different from the skin scent. This fragrance is like spring cleaning in scent form. It shines more in its breezy clean sillage than smelled directly on skin. Projection and longevity are great. You're getting an oil-shine level concentration for your money. And no matter how close I smell, this never falls apart or turns nasty like most cheap soapy fragrances. MFK never disappoints on quality. I think this technically leans feminine, but wouldn't smell out of place on a guy at all. Just like how floral soap or fabric softener never smell out of place. Definitely a must-sample if you're into clean scents!

I don't know if this fragrance is worth the price tag, BUT the experience of wearing it is absolutely priceless. I know it's just a citrus fragrance like many others on the market, typical top notes, clean, standard pyramid... So why doesn't it FEEL like every other warm weather 'fresh'fragrance? Because it's not, and my nose knows it. The white florals infused into this, the Forte and much more feminine flanker, are not just any white floral, they are Francis Kurkdjian white florals! By definition they are heavenly and give this creation wings. The citrus is gently sweetened by the white florals, an angelic sweetness, innocent and pure. The musk is clean, the wood soft, both hiding their magic behind a casual presentation and simplicity of structure. I'm in heaven with Acqua Universalis Forte..... wearing the fragrance of angels.

@Mike_Golf I totally get that gardenia vibe in the base as well! I guess it could be some other floral but it gives the same strong, dense, heady character of gardenia. To be honest it’s a little strong and takes away from the scent a little bit for me. I’m wondering if I might prefer the regular EDT version. I defaulted t to forte on this one because I have and love the forte versions of the other two. (Vitae Forte has that same floral note in the drydown but it mixes better w the overall composition for me). I still like this fragrance quite a bit for the summer. When I was using my sample I thought I LOVED IT so I ordered a bottle and took advantage of some free gifts MFK French site is offering (free candle, free travel spray, plus samples).

Yes, success. Last year I wasted a lot of money buying Aqua Universalis , and Frederic Malle Eau de Magnolia. I remembered the vintage Aqua U, the beautiful lemon and lilly of the valley. The current formulation, I barely pick up the Lilly OTV, and the musk is awful and dominates the fragrance, as with Eau de Magnolia. The Aqua U Forte is the solution! You do get more white florals, mostly Lilly of the valley with a nice strong lemon note, and the musk is toned down. So it's the ultimate and perfect, clean high quality, simple white flower with lemon fragrance. The musk note is still pretty strong, which I don't care for, but it's in a fragrance accord with nice woodsy and cedar notes. Rating: 8.25/10 God bless you. John 3:16

🤍🤍🤍A white floral dream.🤍🤍🤍 Something, which gives me so much joy, makes me feel airy, like i can fly. A candle full of happiness and a scent which makes me its toy. Something when i smelled first , i was like oh boy!! I got its every form and now its like my high. This is like my baby and love for it will never die. ❤️ | Whatever Francis touches turns into gold. This is something which won't be forgotten even when he is old. Even in this heat, this fragrance makes me cold. Like some magic potion, it takes me in its hold. This is real beauty, which is there to behold. Take a shower in it and let the heaven unfold. I can go on and on until stop i am told. This is my true love, which i think will never fold.

UPDATE: After buying the Universalis & Universalis Forte versions some 2 years ag[o [and still having them in my collection], I recently got my nose on Comme Des Garcons' {The Series}: Lily.... If you like Aqua Universalis Forte- you will absolutely do cartwheels over the CDG composition.... Yet another clean, rich, bright and lush white floral, reminiscent of those childhood days playing in the backyard with clean, crisp white linen blowing on a cool summer afternoon....! IMHO, the CDG offering takes the composition to a whole different level in sillage, longevity and projection.... For all lovers of AUF- don't overthink it. Just go out and blind buy this right now!!!

AUF has a very bright and slightly bitter citrus opening- some people will have ‘cleaning product’ associations. As it dries down, this develops into a beautiful softly floral musk. I get predominantly white florals; the jasmine isn’t too sharp. The musk is white, fresh and somewhat powdery but not overwhelming in high heat. I tend to struggle with ‘clean, aldehyde, musk, laundry’ scents, however, I really enjoy this. It’s a perfect daytime scent for the ultra hot summers where I live. AUF has a ‘discreet luxury’ vibe. It feels expensive but is under the radar. If you like Musk Therapy but want something with more citrus and no black currant, you might like this.

Bergamot does smell citrusy and yeah kind of like a cross between sweet orange and tart lemon, but that "kind of" it's just to give a reference! Seriously, I am not a lemon/lime note fan and I love this! I get loads of bergamot which is spiked by the Sicilian lemon, Jasmine like white florals (a lot like Lilly of the valley) with a mellow rose note to give it a slight creaminess and restrain it from getting harsh. Finally there is wood note that ties up the entire concoction together in a wonderfuly balanced work of perfumery art. This is Spring and Summer bottled up and with enough punch to cut through the cold in fall and winter days if desired!

Have you always wondered what they mean by a fragrance that smells "so clean"? I know now what it means. Just spray Aqua Universalis Forte (Forte is important here) on a white shirt: you can wear it for several days and smell clean and fresh as if you just washed your clothes with the most luxurious laundry soap. Incidentally, MFK sells Aqua Universalis laundry soap. Probably the best gift idea to your mother-in-law. It's not a complex scent, just very bright and fresh flowers. It's difficult for me to justify the price, but I've yet to find a cheaper alternative. I couldn't tried the Alexandria clone as they are not available in stores.

This fragrance is definitely unisex and a great one at that! I prefer this version VS the cologne forte or the basic version (not to demean). On me, this fragrance lasts all day on my clothes and a good whole work day on my skin. I typically apply it on my neck. I get compliments all day Initially pretty strong and fresh and then it evolves into a slight musk with floral tones. I don’t mind it at all. It may be expensive but to anyone where money isn’t an issue, this can be worn by any age. It’s safe to wear to school and to the office - just wait maybe half an hour after spraying before going in. Day or night. Warm or cold.

Oh my god, is this fragrance awesome or what? It is the "freshest" scent I have ever found. It is citrus but not sharp, it is classy and niche at the same time. It has something in there which v nicely balances it all out. Also it smells like it has really been made of all natural ingredients. I read some reviews which said that said it lasted for like two seconds after the spritz. But thats not my experice. For me this fragrance lasted all day long. It is expensive and so very exclusive too. The bottle is gorgeous and I totally recommend this fragrance if you are into the fresh scents and even otherwise, do give it a sniff.

To me this is the epitome of fresh, clean summer scents. I don’t associate amalfi lemon with cleaning products, thankfully! To me this just smells super crisp and clean, floral but not overly feminine. I think a man could also pull this off quite easily. I love wearing white linen with this fragrance, it just perfects the vibe that this exudes! It’s very lemony at first, and while some lemon-focused citruses make my nose water with how sharp they are, this is just refreshing and bright. As the lemon fades it evolves into a clean, crisp floral. It’s incredible on a hot day and has great lasting power for something so fresh.

'Aqua Universalis Forte' reminds me of clean white linens draped outside during summertime. The scent opens with a blast of natural-smelling and invigorating citrus notes, along with a bouquet of white flowers. Every time I wear this, I feel clean and energized. As it dries down, the light musk becomes very prominent and incredibly addictive; delicate, yet powerful. Compared to the EDT, the Forte is brighter and has much better performance, with less emphasis on lily of the valley and a bigger combination of floral notes. This is the longest lasting citrus fragrance I've ever worn. It's simply beautiful.

Gloriously distinctive opening, settles down to a very mass appealing territory. Almost as if it was from a high end designer. Very citrusy and musky up top, but transforms to a slightly powdery scent. This is a perfume to wear when rocking a white linen shirt. That being said, I love this fragrance. Would definitely pick this over Dior Homme Cologne any day of the week. But the price tag is the culprit when it comes to MFK’s offerings, as per usual. To my nose it’s leaning more masculine than the opposite, however it is totally unisex. If I bought this, I KNOW partner will use up 90% of the bottle.

SUBTLY BRIGHT, EFFERVESCENT and a well fortified juice. I have owned this for 3 years now. I only have the travel size(3x11ml) and I really can't finish one because of its potency I usually only spray 1 time. The drydown here(after smelling my clothes in the laundry for 2 days) reminded me of baccarat rouge 540. "White musk smells soapy and clean with a bit of floral nuance and something of a bite to it. It is used in detergents and fabric softeners as well as in perfumes. White musk can be strong, although it may smell restrained while in a bottle." I finally understood what white musk smells.

Finally! A beautifully clean, fresh, un-cloying citrus which lasts for AGES. I'm not a big white flowers fan but can't deny that in this, their edges round off and extend the life of the sparkly, bright bergamot and lemon. Utterly unisex and inexhaustibly refreshing. The scent counterpart of a crisp, freshly-laundered linen shirt. It's pricy but not unreasonably so, IMHO, given the longevity - as a HUGE fan of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, I might well never buy the TF again and go for MFK instead. If citrus is your thing, you must try this.

If you are looking for a fragrance that is really well suited to the summer and smells fresh with a floral hint then this fragrance by MFK hits the spot. Visions of wearing a fresh crisp clean linen shirt against the backdrop of being in a well looked after park are the first thing that come to mind when you wear this and it's great to wear on a hot summers day. Longevity is long lasting up to 10 hours, the projection is not too strong but enough to be noticed, well worth the purchase where you find a good discount

This fragrance is so addicting. I purchased 10 samples from houses like By Kilian, Fragrance Du Bois, Initio... and I kept coming back to this fragrance. I don't believe this leans feminine and is perfectly unisex. The florals, woods, and musk after it sat on my skin gave off such a beautiful sillage. So clean and uplifting, but also mixed with my pheromones so it was alluring as well. Definitely a bottle-worthy everyday fragrance for me. Performance is great and sillage is great as well.

Despite leaning feminine, I think this works brilliantly on men too. After the sharp, citric opening, white florals emerge and blend, but these florals don't turn sweet at any point, keeping it quite neutral. As ever, Kurkdjian delivers a sharp, pristine fragrance that breathes confidence. Perfect for a white shirt or polo, in the warm spring months. Far superior to the other version, and, in my opinion, the best of the Aqua line (although Vitae Forte is great too)

Many pedestrian labels like Demeter and Clean have failed to capture the realistic warmth of a true white linen scent, instead lodging forever in our minds its association with "chemical" and "citrus" in perfumery. The opening is very fresh, citrus-y. Than it slowly morphs into beautiful musky floral notes, kept on the unisex line by the citruses. FK is known for not liking flowers, but as he stated in an interview: "it is what we like the least that we do the best". Unlike Aqua Universalis, this 'forte' version open with floral notes and then we get the citrus, especially a clear lemon note. The opening is more feminine than the other version, but the rest is quite unisex. The notes (especially the citrus)smell stronger, although the woods and musk appear without any notice, making the lemon way less noticeable. Still, this is a beautiful fragrance, louder than Aqua universalis but still enjoyable.

Initially, it is floral with some citrusy notes in it but then it becomes really natural and beautiful. I would use this one during the whole year no matter how the weather is. Really fantastic! It is a safe blind buy and I highly recommend it to any man who is confident enough to let their citrusy macho designer perfumes stay untouched in the shelf. I acquired this late last spring and wore it a lot last summer. Now I can’t imagine a summer without this one. I start work really early some days (5.30 am) and this fragrance wakes me up, puts a smile on my face and makes me happy. That’s a pretty good way to start your day, wouldn’t you agree? It’s fresh and clean, but not soapy. This is what I reach for during the hottest days of summer.

I can't decide whether I like this or Aqua Celestia Forte more. I can understand why some people say these both smell like expensive laundry detergent. However, if you're looking for the ultimate clean/cooling effect on a hot summer's day, look no further. These both last all day and won't offend anyone. If money is no object to you, then this is easily a 9.5/10

This is a stunning citrus aromatic to be worn on the hottest of days with a soft white linen shirt and a smile. Definitely unisex but doesn't sway either way for me...perfectly right in the middle. The lemon here is exactly what I was looking for in Purple Water and didn't get. The florals are complimentary and don't stick out at all. I really like it...a lot!!

As a big bearded and heavily tattooed man I love wearing MFK Aqua Universalis Forte it's a very clean beautiful scent the white floral works great with the citrus I believe anyone can wear this it's smells like you're wearing all white... I wear it everywhere day and night hot or cold doesn't matter this clean fresh beautiful scent just works

I am partial to this fragrance's earlier rendering (Aqua Universalis). Here the inclusion of Moroccan rose and Egyptian jasmine give a redolent sweetness which is subjectively more feminine to my nose. Imagine a younger sister desperately trying to out shine her older sibling but failing miserably due to excess... sometimes less is more. (17)

The reviews all speak of the truth. I would like to highlight the similarities AUF has with Aqua Vitae Forte, which is AUF + solar notes. You'll do well if you choose to go with either. Aqua Celestia is a little different with its fruity overtones, i'd put it in its own category within the MFK Aqua line. Stay safe, fellow fragrance lover!

This fragrance is exactly as described above: floral woody musk. The bergamot opening dissipates quickly and we are left with beautiful flowers (mostly lily of the valley, but also some soft rose and jasmine). Then the drydown is greenish and musky. This is really a universal scent for any occassion, and completely unisex.

I got interested with MFK fragrances since i first tried this aqua universalis forte. So, Just today i purchased an assorted 'MFK for him set'- 8 pcs X 11ml. Though a little expensive but i believe its worth the price. My order is coming so soon...Cannot wait...I am now excited with these mini 8 fragrances from MFK.

Aqua Univeralis Forte is one of those scents that lands firmly in the unisex category. It is floral and fresh, and offers huge sillage. Make no mistake, gentlemen - you can pull this off. On a man, Aqua Universalis Forte simply smells clean and rather expensive. Be different, and wear this one with confidence.

Just found this perfumer and this perfume this past weekend. I love this. It will be my next purchase. I know it's expensive but it is definitely worth it. The posative reviews say it all and probably much better then I do. Update: Purchased a few months ago and still love it. It was well worth the price.

This reminds me of the smell of one of the many sterile bathrooms you can find in some Hong Kong shopping malls. I personally love it! It's so invigorating and makes me feel back home. As for the smell, it's a very clean floral bergamot, I'm not sure if it's worth the price tag though.

A tribute to quality citrus summer scent,I can detect and enjoy the jasmine from starting to end, It is a compliment getter but I recumbent you go light on the sprayer ; 3 Sprays max or you will smell like a laundry mart . Scent 10/10 Silage 10/10 Long lasting 10/10 Thanks,

Appearently, the bottles of Forte and non-Forte I originally sampled were bad, too new, or too old. Those were awful. I tried both versions again. Forte is beautiful. The standard issue Universalis is also pleasant. Quality scents. My rant about the cap still stands. :-)
